Tori Spelling Leaves ‘90210’ Podcast: What Fans Need to Know

Tori Spelling has stepped away from co-hosting her rewatch podcast of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” a project she shared with her former co-star Jennie Garth.

Announcing her sudden departure from the “90210MG” podcast, which began in 2020, Spelling took to Instagram Live to make the announcement. The news was reported by Entertainment Weekly on Thursday.

At 53, Spelling revealed her decision to focus on new endeavors. She urged her audience to continue tuning in to the podcast, now captained solo by Garth, according to the publication.

Us Weekly also reported on Thursday that although Spelling has been absent from recent episodes, Garth, who is 54, remains dedicated and eager to proceed with the podcast rewatch journey.

An insider shared that Garth intends to rewatch the entire series and enhance the experience by bringing in special guests and guest co-hosts from the original show.

Reps for Spelling, Garth and iHeart Media did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The actresses, notably, were in the middle of recapping Season 8 of the drama, which ran from 1990 to 2000 for 10 seasons.

Spelling and Garth played Donna Martin and Kelly Taylor, respectively, in the beloved series.

They reprised their roles in the 2019 revival, “BH90210,” alongside Shannon Doherty, Brian Austin Green and more fellow cast members.

The “90210MG” podcast launched in November of the following year.

Garth has yet to address Spelling’s departure directly on the podcast, with social media users drawing attention to this in recent Instagram comments.

One fan called the situation “weird,” writing, “They don’t mention it on the actual podcast but [Spelling] announces it on a live video with Brian. … If everything was completely amicable it seems like she’d announce it on the podcast and they could wish her well and say goodbye.”

Another added, “I’m bummed that she’s gone and disappointed that it hasn’t been addressed.”

When Garth and Spelling started their podcast in 2020, the latter gushed that their friendship was the most consistent connection of her life.

“We’ve been friends for 30 years,” the “MisSpelling” podcast host gushed at the time (via People). “We’ve gone through decades of change as women, we’re moms now and it’s really the one relationship that has stayed all this time!”

She promised the rewatch show would be “really fun,” noting, “Fans always say to us, ‘We can’t believe you’re actually best friends.’ We wanted to do a girlfriends podcast and then blended it with ‘90210’ to do it for the fans. We have a lot to talk about.”
