A shooting incident at a dormitory within Oklahoma State University (OSU) resulted in several individuals being hospitalized on Sunday, as reported by local authorities.
The OSU Police Department stated that officers arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire at Carreker East residence hall shortly after 3:40 a.m.
According to OSU Police Chief Michael Beckner, the attack left multiple people injured, including at least one student from the university.
The injured parties are currently receiving medical care in hospitals located in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. However, the police have not yet disclosed any updates regarding their conditions.

Local news outlet KOCO-TV reported three individuals were hospitalized.
Police said there was no ongoing threat to the public.

Police did not say whether any suspects were in custody. It was unclear whether any suspects were among the injured.
Initial reports indicated the shooting unfolded following a large, private party at an off-campus location, according to police, who said attendees had left the party and returned to the residence hall, where the shooting happened.

Students who do not live in Carreker East were asked to avoid the area as police continue the investigation.
Neither OSU Police nor the university immediately responded to Fox News Digital’s requests for more information.
