In a tragic discovery on Monday, law enforcement found four individuals, including two adults and two children, deceased inside a residence in Texas, according to police reports.
The Houston Police Department dispatched officers around 5:26 p.m. local time to conduct a welfare check at a home located on Kingston Street in the River Oaks neighborhood.
The alert was raised by a babysitter who grew concerned after failing to hear from the family, prompting her to contact authorities. Upon reaching the scene, officers from HPD made the initial entry into the house.
Police have confirmed that the deceased were family members, comprising the two adults and the two children. Investigators are currently treating the case as a murder-suicide.
As of now, the motive behind the shooting remains unknown, leaving many questions unanswered.
