President Donald Trump has addressed and seemingly put to rest the swirling rumors concerning his son Barron’s college experience. Recent chatter suggested that the New York University sophomore, now 19, has been facing difficulties, particularly in light of his father’s return to the presidency.
The New York University sophomore, 19, has reportedly been having a challenging time at the school – especially since his father re-entered the White House.
Despite these stories, President Trump, during a recent golf outing with his granddaughter Kai, assured that his son is “doing good,” curbing the rumors and offering some clarity on Barron’s current situation.
Others have realized he went missing from Manhattan for a couple weeks to instead attend the NYU campus in Washington D.C. while he lives at the White House.
But during a recent golf outing with the president’s granddaughter Kai, Trump said his son is ‘doing good.’
In a vlog posted to Kai’s YouTube channel on Saturday, the commander-in-chief and his eldest granddaughter played a round of golf together as the world got to see a glimpse into their dynamic.
While Trump drove a gold cart, Kai asked him: ‘How’s Barron doing at NYU?’
‘Good, he’s doing good,’ Trump replied. ‘He’s a good boy. He loves you,’ he told Kai, who is Barron’s niece.
‘He said, “Say hello to Kai dad”,’ he added as Kai smiled big.

The president said Barron (pictured in May at Manhattan campus), a sophomore business major, is ‘doing good’
‘I said, “Why don’t you come out and watch [them play golf]?” He said – he’s so cute,’ Trump gushed.
‘Did they start school again?’ Kai questioned.
‘Yeah, he starts on Tuesday,’ Trump responded.
Just weeks ago, Barron was said to have reportedly shut down an entire floor of Trump Tower to host a date, sources told Page Six.
The report said the president’s youngest son had no choice but to have his date at home, given the tight security measures to ensure his safety.
The decision to shut down an entire floor of the building was also made with Barron and his date’s safety in mind, the source said.
One schoolmate said despite being ‘awkward’, Barron had no trouble attracting women since arriving at the school.
‘He’s tall and awkward, but he was the thing, the guy. He had a lot of girls running after him,’ the insider said.

Several rumors have recently swirled around suggesting Barron was having a hard time at school. (Pictured: Melania, Barron and Donald in November 2024)
Another added: ‘He’s a ladies’ man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies. He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive.’
Prior to the mystery date, an insider claimed Barron has turned his back on dating in an effort to focus on business endeavors.
The business major, who is a student at NYU’s Stern School of Business, was also said to be taking classes at the D.C. campus while he lives in the White House with his father and mother Melania.
During his freshman year, Barron took classes in New York.
Barron, who is a towering 6’7”, has been busy taking meetings with business partners, developing tech projects, and setting up deals.
Although he hasn’t made a public appearance alongside his family since his father’s inauguration in January, he has also reportedly spent his downtime in their company.
‘Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others who he is involved with in that area,’ a source told People.
‘Still, he has spent a great deal of time with his family.’
In July, it was reported that Barron had found love and was spending lots of time with his new love interest, although the identity of the mystery woman was never revealed.
At the time, a source told NewsNation: ‘Barron has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot.’
However, People reported shortly after that his love life has since taken a backseat.
Instead, the publication claimed Barron was not currently dating and has instead been focused on his business and his family.
‘I don’t think that’s a big deal in his life right now,’ the insider added. ‘He has more school, a family who dotes on him and a career of his own he is launching.’

He was said to be attending NYU Washington, D.C. (pictured). It is the home to the Stern Executive MBA degree program, which will allow Barron to earn an MBA in two years time
The president will finally be reunited full time with Barron as he is set to live in Washington, all while remaining an NYU student, The New York Post previously reported.
NYU Washington, DC is the home to the Stern Executive MBA degree program, which will allow Barron to earn an MBA in two years time. Only about 60-100 students enroll in the program, which runs $32,811 in undergraduate tradition.
Presumably, Barron will be able to avoid the extra $7,317-$9,513 by residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
The president has cited NYU’s business school as the reason his son enrolled in the first place.
First Lady Melania Trump is expected to return to the White House regularly to accompany him, though he is believed to be the main reason she spent the past year in New York.
Barron is expected to graduate in 2028.
