WASHINGTON — With no jackpot winners on Wednesday, the Powerball prize has climbed once more for the upcoming Saturday draw.
The jackpot for Saturday now stands at an impressive $719 million, offering a cash option of $333.3 million for those who prefer an immediate payout. Despite its significant size, this prize doesn’t yet make it into the top 10 largest Powerball jackpots, which start above the $750 million mark.
The jackpot has been on an upward trajectory since September, following the last grand prize win. During that month, two ticket holders from Missouri and Texas shared an enormous $1.8 billion prize, the second-largest in Powerball’s history, and one of the most substantial lottery wins in the United States.
