Florida Gators fans on the First Coast celebrated their team’s victory at the Final Four.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gators fans cheered on their team not just in San Antonio at the Final Four, but also back home on the First Coast.

Kate Glenn, her dad Chad and dozens of excited Florida Gators fans at the Players Grille in Mandarin cheered on their basketball team as they clinched the win in this year’s Final Four Saturday night.

“I am so ecstatic—go gators all the way. Let’s go!” said Chad Glenn.

“We won. Number one baby,” said Chris Harris, a Players Grille employee and Gators fan.

“It’s great for the gator nation and it’s great to be a Florida gator,” said Clint Cooper, a diehard Gators fan.

Glenn’s parents are University of Florida alumni, and she’s a junior at the school.

“I did not expect to get this far,” said Kate Glenn. “Even at UF as a student. Oh my God, we made the national championship. I’m glad I’m a student now.”

As the team seals its spot in the national championship, Gators fans are hopeful it’ll bring home one final win.

“My sorority is going to go crazy,” said Kate Glenn. “We’re cancelling chapter on Monday so we can watch the game.”

“I know we’re gonna pull it off,” said Chad Glenn. “Go gators all the way baby.”
