Honnold and Hans Florine missed achieving the record time on Yosemite’s El Capitan’s Nose route by 45 seconds in November 2011.

Dean Potter & Sean Leary had set the previous record of 2:36:45 in November 2010. Honnold and Florine established a new record of 2:23:46 (or 2:23:51) over the same course on June 17, 2012.
