Born Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente on June 29, 1978, in Honolulu, Hawai’i, her biological father, Alfonso Valiente, is of Filipino descent. He left the family when she was two.
Nicole Scherzinger was raised by her mother Rosemary Elikolani Frederick, who is of Native Hawaiian and Ukrainian descent.
