Sara Barron is married to Geoff Barron Lloyd, a well-known English radio broadcaster, television host, podcast host, and writer. The couple met through The Moth and have since welcomed a son into their family.
Lloyd grew up in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, and was born in Withington, Manchester. He started as a paperboy, a suit salesperson, and in 1989, he began working after school at a local print works for £1 an hour.
Further, he started his radio career in 1991 as a traffic and travel reporter at Stockport’s Signal Cheshire, where he stayed until the end of 1994.
He has credited comedian Craig Cash with having a significant impact on his career, owing to both his humor and interview style, as well as his support. Cash hired Lloyd to work as a runner on The Mrs. Merton Show and subsequently introduced him to Pete Mitchell, with whom he would spend a decade on the air as Pete and Geoff.
