They appeared to be like any other father-son duo on the show, but Sasha’s identity was much more complex.

 

 

Sasha revealed that he was born as a female, but he always has desired to be a boy. 

He would express his feelings on a paper that he wishes to be a boy and would tear the paper into pieces as he wouldn’t want anyone to know. 

But when his parents found out about his desire, they were nothing more than supportive towards him. They helped their son in his transition process.

Jim being an open-minded parent, told his son how proud he was of his child.

Sasha also said he is proud to have unconditional love and support from his family.

Jim and Sasha are initially from Connecticut, and Jim works as a music teacher. Growing up with his father, Sasha had an affection for music.

Jim grew up in various folk and bluegrass bands and taught his son to play guitar at six. Sasha would use to join his father at his gigs.
