Hialeah Teacher Arrested For Inappropriate Activity – Who Is Brittiny Lopez-Murray? – A Florida drama teacher was arrested Monday on suspicion of having sex with an underage student in her car on multiple occasions.
Brittiny Lopez-Murray, a 31-year-old drama teacher at Hialeah Middle School in Miami Dade County, FL, allegedly slept with a 14-year-old former student in her car several times after texting him in August to discuss ‘her feelings toward’ him, according to a police report obtained first by the Miami Herald.
According to the report, Lopez-Murray and the student, who has since graduated from Hialeah Middle and moved on to high school in Miami Dade, exchanged texts about ‘how much they enjoyed the sex with each other.’
Lopez-Murray had taught at Hialeah Middle for four years prior to the incident, had no prior disciplinary history, and was named ‘rookie teacher of the year’ in 2017.
The Miami Dade Public Schools board said it was ‘saddened and disappointed over the allegations and announced it had begun the process of terminating Lopez-Murray’s employment.
It comes just days after another teacher in Miami Dade, 36-year-old Daniel Fernandez was arrested and charged Friday with second-degree lewd and lascivious behavior after a 14-year-old student claimed he sexually assaulted her.
The legal age of consent in the state of Florida is 18 years old, meaning that any individual aged 17 or younger in Florida is not legally able to consent to sexual activity.

According to the police report, the sexual relationship between the 31-year-old drama teacher and the 14-year-old former student began in August.
Lopez-Murray would wait outside to pick the male student up after basketball practice and then the two would allegedly engage in sexual acts in her car.
She was arrested on Monday evening on charges of multiple felonies, including lewd and lascivious battery, molestation, and engaging in a sexual act with a child, after the sister of the student reportedly came across the messages on his phone and alerted the authorities on Saturday.
The boy’s father also discovered nude photos of Lopez-Murray on his son’s phone, according to the report.
The Miami Dade County Public Schools board (M-DCPS) released a statement last night and confirmed they would be terminating the employment of the teacher.
‘Miami-Dade County Public Schools is saddened and disappointed over these serious allegations given that the District takes great measures to ensure our students are educated in safe learning environments,’ the statement read.

Brittiny was a drama instructor at Hialeah Center for middle school kids.
News broke on the internet after she was arrested and jailed at the Miami Dade jail.

The victim’s sister and father reported to the police after they caught the teenager having an inappropriate relationship with his elder teacher.
She has been charged for involving in a sexual act with an underage boy, and Miami District Court is handling her case.
Brittiny used to teach drama to the kids of Hialeah Center, and the kid whose identity has been kept a secret used to attend the school.
The 14 years old was first approached by Brittiny when she expressed her love for him.
They first met at a cafe to share coffee and then grew closer and more physical with each other.

Brittiny was awarded the ‘Rookie Teacher of the Year’ in 2017 by the Hialeah Teaching Committee, and her previous disciplinary records were good as per the department reports.
She has not yet spoken on the matter, and her protection attorneys are still to address her at the jail.
Brittiny Lopez-Murray Sexual Relation with Her Student
Brittiny tried to flirt and be close to her 14 years old student on many occasions. He became close to her post their cafe drink meeting and went to places together.
On many occasions and after many of his Basketball sessions, Brittiny and the boy would be involved in immoral sex in the car.
The car was reported to have been stationed at a nearby park on many occasions.
After the teenager left the school, the texts and meets didn’t stop.

Brittiny would constantly pursue the boy and share explicit, vulgar images with him.
The boy’s phone was seized by his father, who found out the nudes she shared with him.
His sister initially doubted the boy when he started sticking by the phone for way too long.
The parents then filed the report, and police were called to investigate the boy who shared the dark secret about the seemingly innocent teacher.
