Victor A. Barnard is the self-proclaimed preacher of the River Road Fellowship in Pine County, Minnesota.

He hand-picked ten young women ranging in age from 12 to 24 and informed their parents that all first-born children would be sacrificed to God.

According to one of Barnard’s victims, Barnard told the girls, dubbed “The Maidens,” that the Bible says “the church was the bride of Christ, and because he was Christ in the flesh, the church was supposed to be married to him.”
