Police officers have launched a search for a husband who traveled from Leeds to Scotland after his wife was found “murdered” at their home.
The alleged murder victim was named today as Eileen Barrott, 50, after emergency services were called to a property in Leeds, West York, around 6.30pm last night.
A woman, now known as Eileen, was reportedly “seriously injured” and pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives said they “ urgently wanted to speak ” to 54-year-old Mark Barrott and asked for information to help track him down after they saw him on CCTV leaving the Leeds train station at 1 p.m. from yesterday.wikipedia

Chief Inspector Detective Vanessa Rolfe said: ‘We urgently need to speak with Mark Barrott regarding the investigation, and we are eager to hear from anyone who has seen him or has information that can help track him down.
“ It was last known that he was at Edinburgh’s Waverley station at 4 p.m. yesterday and we would like to hear from anyone who has seen him then or since, or who can help establish his current whereabouts.

“We would advise members of the public not to approach him, but to contact the police immediately via 999 if they see him.”
Officers are also appealing to track down Barrott’s car, a silver Toyota Avensis, registration FJ51 ZHB, believed to still be in Leeds.
A large police presence remained in the Whinmoor area of the city on Monday, where the woman was fatally wounded.
Cross Gates and Whinmoor Cllr James Gibson said: ‘After the shocking and distressing events at Whinmoor overnight, our thoughts go to the victim and her family.
“This is a heartbreaking incident and it will affect the entire community.”
