Charles Taliaferro Lindsay Jr., affectionately known as Terry Lindsay, was the chairman of the Lindsay Automotive Group, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia.

Terry was born on February 14th, 1935, on Valentine’s Day in Washington, DC.

His parents, Charles Taliaferro Lindsay, Sr., and mother, Margaret Cox Lindsay, predeceased him. He grew up in Washington, DC, and went to Woodrow Wilson High School.

The chairman earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Duke University in 1958. He served in the United States Army in Huntsville, Alabama, at the Army “Rocket and Guided Missile Agency,” a forerunner of the United States Space Program.

Following Terry Lindsay’s discharge from the Army with the rank of First Lieutenant., he worked for Ammann & Whitney, a civil engineering firm, supervising the runways and access road to Dulles International Airport.

During this time, he met his future wife, Regina Curry (Jeannie), on a blind date at the Zebra Room on Wisconsin Avenue.

They married after a brief courtship and recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

Terry would readily admit that Jeannie was the key to all of his success. He began his career in the automobile industry in 1963, working for his father at Lindsay Oldsmobile Cadillac in Alexandria, Virginia.

His wife of 61 years, Jeannie Lindsay, survives him, as do three devoted children and their spouses: Chip Lindsay (Kate), Michael Lindsay (Debra), and Chris Lindsay (Maura), as well as 12 grandchildren he adored: Molly, Terry, Gavin, Finn, Michael, John, Leigh, Nick, Tim, Seamus, Alexandra, and Abigail Lindsay.

His brother, Jack Lindsay (Cookie), niece Jennifer Duffie, and nephew Paul Lindsay survive him.

Terry Lindsay’s brother, Jack, joined the company in 1966, and the company grew to become one of the country’s leading Cadillac dealerships. However, her exact earnings are yet to be known.

He teamed up with Jack Taylor in 1988, and they were chosen as one of the first Lexus dealers in the United States.

That early partnership grew into remarkable success, resulting in one of the top Lexus dealerships in the country. With the rank of First Lieutenant.

Tery’s sons have since joined the company, and they are expanding it through acquisitions and expansions. Lindsay Automotive Group now includes 15 distinct franchises.

Chairman Terry Lindsay died unexpectedly on Monday, July 18th, 2022, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. He was 87.

The actual cause of his death is yet to be known as none of his family members also have not shared anything.

Terry served as the Chairman of the Virginia Automobile Dealers Association as well as the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association.

He was the Chairman of the St. Luke Institute, the President of the Board of Regents at Marymount University, the Arlington Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges (VFIC).

Likewise, he received the John Carroll Society Archdiocese of Washington DC medal in 2015, and he served on the boards of the Alexandria Boys Club, the Arlington District Boy Scouts of America, the Arlington Community Foundation, and First American Bank, among many other professionals, business, and charitable organizations.

He was a sports fanatic who adored the game of golf. He played many courses around the world, but his favorite aspect of the game was camaraderie.

The chairman belonged to a number of clubs and organizations, but the Burning Tree Club was his favorite.

Protti later testified that she had intended to bring Costas to the party to make friends with her, but she changed her mind after learning that there would be no dinner provided for the new “Bobbies.”

The girls fought, and Costas ran away, telling Alex and Mary Jane Arnold that her friend had become “weird.” Costas could not reach her parents on the foundation, so Alex Arnold drove her home while watching the Protti family’s Pinto. Arnold witnessed Protti’s assault on Costas while sitting in his car at the Costas’ residence.

Protti was given a maximum nine-year sentence, but at 23, she was released on parole after seven years. Costas’ parents fiercely opposed the release of Protti,

Jonah Platt was born on November 17, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, to his father, Marc E. Platt, and mother, Julie Platt.

His father is a producer who has worked on films like Legally Blonde, Into the Woods, La La Land, Mary Poppins Returns, and the Broadway production Wicked. In addition, he has worked in various other movies and shows.

Julie Platt, his mother, is a housemaker. His parents, like him, are Jewish. 

His parents have had a lot of influence on his career. Jonah also has a strong experience in television humor, having contributed to the writing teams of several special network programs like PARKS AND RECREATION and FAMILY GUY.

He co-founded and served as president of Starlight Studios, where he oversaw the creation of numerous works, including the animated short COLD FEET, a Toronto International Film Festival selection, and Kristen Stewart’s TAKE ME TO THE SOUTH.

Adam John Walsh, a 6-year-old boy, was kidnapped from a Hollywood, Florida, mall and later discovered dead.

After the incident, Adam Walsh’s father, John Walsh, rose to prominence as an advocate for victims’ rights and the host of the popular television program America’s Most Wanted.

On July 27, Adam went to Sears with his mother Reve early in the afternoon. While she made other purchases nearby, she let him observe several older boys playing video games in the toy section. He was gone when she returned to get him after less than 10 minutes.

Adam’s parents had started a massive search for their son. However, on August 10, 1981, two fishermen in Vero Beach, Florida—about 100 miles from Hollywood—found Adam’s severed head in a drainage canal. His corpse was never located.

Career criminal Ottis Ellwood Toole, a prisoner at the time in a Raiford, Florida, facility, confessed to Adam’s kidnapping and murder in October 1983. He also blamed serial killer Henry Lee Lucas for the crime.

However, Lucas was incarcerated in Virginia when Adam was abducted, so authorities quickly realized that he couldn’t have been involved.

At that point, Toole acknowledged he had committed the act alone, and the police declared they had identified Adam’s killer.

Toole frequently admitted to killing Adam Walsh over the years, only to later retract his claims. In 1996, while serving a death sentence for a different crime, he passed away in a Florida prison from cirrhosis of the liver and AIDS.

After the crime, his parents John and Revé Walsh, established the Adam Walsh Child Resource Center, a nonprofit devoted to governmental change.

John Walsh, Adam’s father, still testifies in front of state and federal legislatures about crimes, missing children, and victims’ rights today. One of his most recent initiatives is to advocate for a constitutional amendment to protect victims’ rights.

The centers, which were formerly based in West Palm Beach, Florida; Columbia, South Carolina; Orange County, California; and Rochester, New York, are combined with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), where John Walsh sits on the board of directors.

Plus, the Walsh family created a political campaign to aid kidnapped and missing children.

Despite administrative and legislative obstacles, John and Revé’s efforts eventually resulted in the 1982 Missing Children Act and the 1984 Missing Children’s Assistance Act.
