Farmers Heroically Contain Field Blaze, Preventing Spread to Nearby Housing Estate

0

In an inspiring tale of bravery, two young farm workers are being celebrated as heroes after their swift actions prevented a wildfire from reaching a nearby housing estate. They courageously risked both their safety and their machinery to halt the blaze.

Jay Loft, 22, and Cameron Bartram, 19, sprang into action on Sunday afternoon when a fire rapidly swept across 750 yards of wheat fields in the Woodthorpe area of York.

The pair was engaged in work at a site nearby when they received urgent news of the fire. With the landowner Russell Wagstaff being 45 minutes away, Loft and Bartram took it upon themselves to tackle the situation head-on.

As the threatening flames moved ominously closer to residential houses, Loft and Bartram quickly leapt into their tractors. They began discing the fields to carve out a firebreak, buying crucial time until firefighters could arrive.

Dramatic footage captured from the tractors reveals the fire threateningly close to their equipment, with enormous clouds of smoke causing near-zero visibility on surrounding roads.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service eventually brought the flames under control, but the suspected arson attack caused an estimated £30,000 of damage to crops.

It comes amid an ‘exceptionally’ high risk of wildfires in areas of Britain following a two-week heatwave and no rain for a month in some parts of the country. Wind speeds picked up earlier this week which led to heightened concerns about blazes.

Two girls aged 15 and 17, both from the local area, were arrested on suspicion of arson by North Yorkshire Police soon after the fire and an investigation continues.

Detectives also revealed a further eight fires were reported across the area last weekend, with six of these being treated as deliberate.

Mr Bartram said the fire was ‘spreading really quick’ when he arrived, telling the BBC: ‘I was just glad I was nearby and could get there to help a neighbouring farmer.

‘If it happened to us I’d like to think that a neighbouring farmer would be here to help us. It was horrible really. And for the farmer as well, just a massive loss.

‘It’s just that dry at the minute, everything can catch alight like no problem at all.’

Farm owner Mr Wagstaff has since been clearing up the remains of the fire with his combine harvester.

He told the York Press: ‘Jay contacted us as we saw the smoke from home and we’re so grateful for his quick thinking. We contacted John Sykes and Steven Beckett – both local farmers – who helped and also sent a water bowser to the fields.

‘It was a great effort from the farming community, bringing everybody together, especially as times are tough at the moment and prices are not good.

‘As I was making my way there on Sunday the hope was that everyone was safe and that the fire was not spreading to homes. It would be nice to have an apology from whoever did this.’

Meanwhile Luke Charters, MP for York Outer, has praised Mr Loft and Mr Bartram for their quick thinking and invited them to Parliament.

He said: ‘People are often far too quick to write off the younger generation, but Cameron and Jay have shown the exact opposite.

‘They’re two Yorkshire lads who didn’t stand around waiting for someone else to sort it. They rolled up their sleeves and stepped up when their community needed them the most.

‘Their quick thinking helped stop the fire spreading towards people’s homes, and our city owes them a huge thank you.’

Mr Charters posted a letter of thanks to the duo, along with ‘a couple of beers’.

Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Ben Ambler, of North Yorkshire Police, said: ‘Arson is a serious offence that puts lives at risk and, in this case, has caused significant damage to a local farmer’s crops.

‘Two local teenagers were swiftly arrested in connection with the suspected arson, and our investigation is progressing at pace.

‘We have a problem-solving plan in place to address this issue and will continue our joint work with partners to educate young people about the dangers and consequences of fires as we head into the summer school holidays.’

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service station manager Nick Allenby said: ‘Fire spreads quickly and can be unpredictable. A fire can endanger lives no matter what size it is.

‘Even a small fire can spread quickly and divert crews away from life‑threatening emergencies.

‘By working with partners, including North Yorkshire Police, we aim to educate children and young adults about the dangers of fire and help them understand the wider consequences of their actions before someone is seriously harmed.

‘We are appealing to anyone with parental responsibilities to explain the hazards, risks and potentially devastating consequences of setting fires especially ahead of the summer holidays.’

Trump Urgently Joins Top-Secret Strategy Meeting for Major Iran Military Offensive Plan

0

In a high-stakes assembly within the renowned Situation Room, President Donald Trump convened with key military leaders on Tuesday. The agenda? Strategizing an extensive military campaign targeting Iran, according to information disclosed by three insiders to Axios.

This proposed operation promises to overshadow the existing airstrikes surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, an area subjected to continuous aerial bombardment over the last four nights, as the conflict reaches its 137th day.

Present at this crucial meeting were Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and White House envoy Steve Witkoff, alongside Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine.

The discussions among these top officials centered around formulating a plan for fresh assaults on significant Iranian targets as well as new missions in the volatile Strait.

U.S. authorities have clarified that the primary objective of this persistent assault strategy is to effectively neutralize Iran’s ability to disrupt operations of shipping vessels navigating the crucial waterway of the Strait of Hormuz.

Further escalation began on Tuesday afternoon as a US naval blockade of Iranian ports officially went into effect, suffocating the regime’s maritime trade.

In a response to the pressure, Tehran has retaliated by continuing to rain down waves of missiles and suicide drones targeting American military bases in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain.

The ongoing American airstrikes have primarily hammered Iran’s critical air defense networks, radar systems, anti-ship missile batteries and drone launch pads.

At least seven ‌personnel were killed in the strikes on a ‌military base in Bampur, Iran overnight, Iran’s ‌army said on Wednesday.

In an interview with Fox News Channel, the president said the US plans to launch at least two more days of strikes against Iran and that such attacks will continue ‘until I say it’s enough’

Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that US forces would ‘hit them very hard tonight, very hard tomorrow night’ in a brutal campaign that won’t stop until he says ‘enough.’

‘I’ll save the energy targets for last, but ultimately we’ll hit energy targets,’ Trump warned.

‘We’re going to hit them very hard the night after, and then next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants.’

Trump also said the US would target bridges next week unless Iran was willing to negotiate a peace deal that included giving up their nuclear ambitions.

He vowed the attacks will continue ‘until I say it’s enough.’

In an update late on Tuesday night, CENTCOM advised another round of strikes had been completed, hitting dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iranian coastal areas.

‘US fighter aircraft, drones, and naval vessels launched precision munitions against Iranian missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, and coastal defense systems during the seven-hour wave to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian crews,’ the update said.

US forces resumed the naval blockade against vessels transiting to or from Iranian ports and coastal areas.

The latest US bombing campaign comes after Trump notified Congress that the war would resume after Iran breached the memorandum of understanding by targeting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump did not rule out using US ground forces to ensure that his key objectives are met, especially when it comes to removing Iran’s enriched uranium.

US forces had been careful not to harm Iran’s civilian population with strikes, but Trump warned Iran that everything was on the table.

‘You better make a deal, or you’re not going to have anything left,’ he said.

The President also likened Iran to ‘a great boxer’ that needed to be put to the mat.

‘You think you have them beat, then they’ll come back and give you a shot,’ Trump said.

Trump suggested later in the interview with Fox News that he wasn’t interested in continuing negotiations immediately with Iran because ‘they lie.’

Outrage Erupts Over Investigation into Methanol Poisoning Scandal

0

The families of two Australian teenagers who tragically lost their lives to methanol poisoning in Laos are anxiously awaiting a legal decision they fear will not deliver justice.

Nineteen-year-old Melburnians, Bianca Jones and Holly Morton-Bowles, were among the unsuspecting backpackers who fell victim to tainted alcohol at Vang Vieng Nana Backpackers Hostel in 2024.

The incident also claimed the lives of two Danish women, an American man, and a British woman, casting a shadow over the popular tourist destination.

Authorities in Laos are slated to host a press briefing this Friday afternoon, revealing their investigation’s findings and announcing any charges against those responsible for distributing the lethal drinks.

Mark and Michelle Jones, Bianca’s grieving parents, shared with the Australian Associated Press their understanding that the accused may face charges that could result in a maximum of one year in prison coupled with a fine. The charges may additionally encompass illegal business operations.

“All up, our daughter, along with four other beautiful women, their lives are worth less than a year and about $1,600,” Mark Jones said on Friday.

“We’re disgusted and angry.

“The whole way through this case, and ever since, our daughters and other girls were impacted by methanol, the Lao government has done next to nothing to secure evidence properly or to follow up.”

Foreign Minister Penny Wong said the government felt ”deeply frustrated and bitterly disappointed” that authorities in Laos are not pursuing the most serious charges in relation to the deaths.

”We have consistently made clear our expectations that charges should reflect the gravity of the tragedy,” Wong said in a statement, adding the government had advocated for a thorough and transparent investigation into the deaths.

”What happened to Holly, Bianca and four other foreign nationals should never have happened.”

Seasoned Australian diplomat Pablo Kang had been asked earlier this year to “explore all avenues to progress the case” and had engaged extensively with Lao authorities on behalf of the government and the families.

Kang is expected to travel to Laos to convey the federal government’s objections and reinforce the expectations for an investigation that delivers justice.

Wong said she would speak with her Lao counterpart next week when she travels to Manila for the ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers’ Meetings.

On Friday, Bianca’s parents issued a warning to Australians not to travel to the country.

“We’ve not come out before because we thought justice would be served, but justice looks like it is absolutely not going to be served,” Mark Jones said.

“Our very message to Australian and international travellers is, do not go to Laos, it’s a country that simply doesn’t value life.”

Maine ICE Officer in Shooting Linked to Past Violent Incidents, Family and Records Reveal

0

Family members paint a grim picture of David Brouillette’s past, alleging a disturbing pattern of violence, particularly towards women in his life. One relative even shared a chilling voicemail with the Associated Press, where Brouillette purportedly suggested that someone ought to slit her throat, highlighting a history marked by threats and aggression.

These allegations raise critical questions about the Department of Homeland Security’s vetting process, especially as it ramped up hiring to implement President Donald Trump’s stringent immigration enforcement. Brouillette’s unsettling background sparks further debate on the adequacy of DHS’s recruitment checks during this period.

Since the reinvigoration of Trump’s immigration crackdown, at least ten fatalities have occurred in encounters with immigration officials. This includes the tragic death of 25-year-old Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, a Colombian citizen, who was fatally shot by Brouillette on Monday in a coastal city of Biddeford, Maine, while he sat in his vehicle just outside his home.

While the Department of Homeland Security has remained tight-lipped about the identity of the officer involved in Durán Guerrero’s death, they have stated that the incident happened as the vehicle attempted to flee, prompting the officer to discharge his weapon due to concerns for public safety.

Efforts to reach Brouillette for comment via text or email have been unsuccessful. However, three family members, including his ex-wife and daughter, claim that in conversations following the shooting, Brouillette maintained he fired his weapon in self-defense.

When reached for comment about Brouillette’s record and his role in Monday’s shooting, ICE spokesperson Lauren Bis said in a statement that, “We will never confirm or deny attempts to dox our law enforcement officers,” and that “The ICE officer in question has nearly a decade of federal law enforcement experience with required training including use of force training.”

The White House referred all questions about the shooting and Brouillette to ICE.

A new career in ICE

Brouillette, 37, told his ex-wife Ashley Brouillette late last year that he had been hired by ICE. She said that because of his long history of psychiatric issues, she thought he was having a mental health episode and she didn’t believe him. She didn’t realize he’d been telling the truth until this week, when videos began circulating online of the moments surrounding the shooting.

Ashley Brouillette told the AP that she spoke to her ex-husband in a Facebook audio call, and he acknowledged that he had killed Durán Guerrero. Their 18-year-old daughter, Madison Brouillette, also told the AP that her father called her Wednesday and said that he shot and killed Durán Guerrero.

David and Ashley Brouillette were high school sweethearts who got married in 2007. She said she divorced him in 2009 because he had become physically violent with her, which began after she got pregnant with their daughter.

According to Ashley Brouillette, he once threw boiling water at her while she was holding their child — an incident her mother Avis Collins also recounted.

The abuse continued after she left him, she said.

David Brouillette doesn’t appear to have a criminal record in Maine, as a check with the Maine Department of Public Safety returned no records for him.

But hundreds of family court records obtained from the Augusta District Court clerk’s office detail years of allegations of physical and verbal abuse raised by his second ex-wife on behalf of herself and his daughters.

The ex-wife — whom the AP is not identifying because she fears retaliation — alleged that he had stalked and harassed her and physically and verbally abused his daughter, according to multiple requests for temporary protection orders. Brouillette tackled his teenage daughter and smashed spaghetti in her hair, and during another outburst, he dragged his daughter around the house as she cried, she said.

“Dave needs counseling or something for his PTSD & depression,” she wrote in an application for a temporary protective order on behalf of his teenage daughter which a judge granted in 2021.

In court filings, David Brouillette said that his second ex-wife had slandered him.

His oldest daughter, Madison Brouillette, said she also witnessed her dad’s volatility.

“I watched my dad struggle a lot with a lot of things,” she told the AP. She said she came home from school once and he told her he had been sitting on a tree stump with a gun to his head.

“If you don’t really, truly take care of yourself, there’s no way you can protect other people. And with my dad, he never wanted to get help,” she said.

An immediate relative of David Brouillette who spoke on the condition that their name not be used said he was diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder and attention deficit disorder as a child — a diagnosis that Ashley Brouillette confirmed. The immediate relative described him as “extremely mentally ill” and said he attempted suicide twice at age 12 and was hospitalized multiple times.

The relative said they’ve been estranged for years, after they broke off contact because they feared he would harm them. He did not respond to their outreach this week, the relative added.

A military deployment and law enforcement aspirations

Growing up in Gardiner, a city of about 6,000 people roughly 60 miles (97 kilometers) northeast of Biddeford, where Monday’s shooting occurred, David Brouillette was enchanted by law enforcement and the military, his relatives said.

High school yearbook photos show he was a member of the school’s Naval Junior ROTC, and he wrote that he planned to go to college and become a police officer.

Brouillette was initially rejected by military recruiters because of his mental health diagnoses, but recruiters encouraged him to go off his medications for a year and reapply, which he did, his immediate relative said.

He was eventually able to enlist.

According to U.S. military records, Brouillette enlisted as a chemical equipment repairer in the Maine Army National Guard but then changed jobs to be a medical logistics specialist. He was in the Guard from November 2007 until January 2010, according to records provided by the Pentagon.

A 2009 article in the Kennebec Journal listed Brouillette as a private in the Maine Army National Guard’s 152nd Maintenance Company in Augusta.

In January 2010 he joined the regular Army as a human intelligence collector. Brouillette deployed to Afghanistan from May 2012 to February 2013 and eventually left the Army as a sergeant in December 2015.

His immediate relative believes Brouillette’s time abroad worsened his emotional struggles: “Afghanistan destroyed him — trained him to be a killing monster, a machine. They took someone who was extremely mentally ill and turned him into a killing machine.”

Life after the Army

After his discharge, Brouillette held a hodgepodge of jobs — some in or adjacent to law enforcement — and was injured in an accident while training to become a firefighter, public records and court documents show.

Brouillette worked for the Maine Correctional Center — a medium-security prison — and for the state’s Health and Human Services Department, spending less than a year at each.

In 2019, court documents show, he was a police officer at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center near the state capital, Augusta. A Veterans Affairs department spokesperson on Thursday referred questions about Brouillette’s employment to DHS.

But by the end of 2021, he wrote in a text message included in court filings, he was broke, going to school full-time and making money delivering food for DoorDash.

Brouillette was enrolled in a firefighting program at Southern Maine Community College and was struck in the head by a steel beam while unloading a trailer at a training facility, according to a lawsuit he filed over his injury.

He sustained a concussion and post-concussive syndrome, with symptoms including impaired memory, cognitive deficits, headaches, vertigo and light sensitivity, and was unable to complete the program, according to the lawsuit, which was settled out of court.

In recent years, court filings show, he was collecting disability pay through the VA. He also drove a truck, but quit in January 2025, citing health issues.

In March 2025, Brouillette passed an exam to become a real estate sales agent. His license was active until December. In a Facebook post, Realty of Maine announced Brouillette would be working in the firm’s Bangor office.

“David lives in Maine after retiring from the United States Army,” said the post, which has since been deleted. Brouillette is no longer listed as an agent on the firm’s website. Messages seeking comment were left for Realty of Maine.

In March, the Maine agency that handles child support matters filed a lien against him, public records show. The filing suggests that Brouillette may have been in line for a permanent impairment or disability settlement.

‘I don’t think he sees himself as a killer’

In late 2025, around the time he joined ICE, his ex-wife Ashley said he left a three-minute voicemail mocking her for taking out a restraining order against him. According to the message she shared with AP, he repeatedly called her “disgusting” and suggested that she and the other women and girls in her “bloodline” should die.

“And all of you should have your f——–g throats cut,” the voicemail said. “Yeah, you should. Am I threatening that I’m gonna do that? Nope. Nope. But do I think that you should have your f——-g throats cuts? Or should have had them cut? Yep.”

She said she cut off contact with him until Wednesday, when his picture began circulating online.

Ashley Brouillette reached out to his current wife on Facebook and they spoke on the phone for several minutes. Her ex-husband spoke with her, according to cellphone screenshots of the phone exchange she shared with the AP. He acknowledged he had fatally shot Durán Guerrero.

“He was asking if I could tell them that he was a good person and not to talk about the abuse and stuff that I had endured while with him and he said that the most important thing is his character right now,” she said.

She said he told her he is now hiding in protective custody.

“I asked him why he did it,” she said. “He said it was a justified shooting. The guy was trying to run him over with a car.”

His daughter also said he told her it was justified.

“I don’t think he sees himself as a killer,” Madison Brouillette said.

“I think he thinks that he genuinely did the right thing,” she added. “All he said was that he did what he had to do. He said that he had to protect himself.”

Former Arizona Democrat Candidate Allegedly Entered Ex’s Home with Knife and Tape, Citing ‘Misunderstanding

0

A past contender for the Arizona Democratic congressional seat finds herself embroiled in controversy after an unsettling incident. Brianna Westbrook was detained following allegations of forcibly entering her former partner’s residence wielding a knife and carrying tape. When apprehended, Westbrook purportedly characterized the situation as a “misunderstanding” tied to an unagreed BDSM scenario, court records reveal.

On the evening of July 10, at approximately 6 p.m., Phoenix police responded to an alarming call. A woman reported that her ex-partner, Brianna Westbrook, had misled her into opening the door by posing as her son, as outlined in court files. Upon answering, the woman allegedly found Westbrook brandishing a knife and gripping black tape. The confrontation quickly escalated into a struggle, culminating in Westbrook allegedly forcing the victim onto a couch and commanding her to remain still while she screamed for help.

Not only known for her political aspirations, Westbrook is also a prominent activist for transgender rights and has held the position of vice chair with the Arizona Democratic Party.

The victim’s cries drew her sister into the fray, where Westbrook, reportedly with the knife in hand, allegedly threatened both women with a lunge. According to court documents, a plea from the victim about her son’s imminent return led to Westbrook’s hasty exit from the scene.

Officers went to Westbrook’s residence, where the suspect said the whole thing was a “big misunderstanding” and that Westbrook and the victim were into BDSM.

Westbrook admitted going to the individual’s house armed with a knife and duct tape, but claimed the scene was mutually planned, saying “the victim and her agreed on the scene through subliminal messages they exchanged on Instagram.”

Westbrook also claimed the two had “agreed to re-enact a scene where Westbrook scares the victim to help her deal with prior childhood trauma of abuse,” according to court documents.

“Westbrook was given the subliminal message on Instagram that the victim was ready … to start the scene. Westbrook admitted to going over to the residence with a knife, knocking on the door, entering the residence while armed with a fake knife and tape,” police said in the probable cause statement. “Westbrook said she told the victim to sit on the couch. The witness then exited out of her room, interrupting the scene. Westbrook then left the residence.”

However, the victim told police she never agreed to “re-creating” the BDSM scene.

Westbrook was charged with felony third-degree burglary and aggravated assault using a simulated deadly weapon, as well as misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

A release questionnaire for Westbrook’s arrest also obtained by News Media shows that police checked boxes stating that the suspect has a history of domestic violence, noting that the “frequency/intensity” of such incidents has been increasing.

A preliminary hearing for Westbrook is scheduled for Monday.

News Media reached out to Westbrook for comment.

Target Urgently Recalls 200,000 Kids’ Sandals Amid Serious Choking Risk Warning

0

Target has issued a recall for over 200,000 pairs of children’s sandals due to a significant choking hazard that could lead to “serious injury or death.”

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) revealed on Thursday that approximately 211,000 Cat & Jack Toddler Girls’ Sequerah Sandals are included in this recall.

This recall stems from a risk that the sandals’ decorative pearls may detach, creating a choking hazard for children.

According to the CPSC, the decorative pearls on the sandals can come loose, posing a potentially life-threatening choking hazard.

The sandals under scrutiny are tan, featuring two raffia straps adorned with gold buckles and plastic pearls. Branding can be found on both the soles and bottoms of the sandals.

The shoes were sold in sizes 5T through 12T.

The sandals were sold at Target stores across the country and online at the retailer’s website from January 2026 through May 2026 for about $20.

Roma Downey’s Stunning New Look: See How the Touched by an Angel Star Has Transformed

0

Roma Downey, celebrated for her role in the beloved series “Touched by an Angel,” has taken to Instagram to unveil a striking transformation in her appearance.

The Irish actress soared to fame with the 1990s show, portraying Monica, an angel characterized by her flowing, vibrant red hair, alongside co-stars like Valerie Bertinelli, John Dye, and the iconic gospel singer, Della Reese.

For years, Downey maintained her signature look, her fiery cascade of hair gracing a multitude of red carpets, both in her capacity as an actress and as the spouse of “The Apprentice” creator Mark Burnett.

Yet, at 66, Downey has decided to reimagine her style, sharing on social media a set of photos showcasing her new, chic ash-blonde bob, a bold departure from her classic mane.

Addressing her followers with enthusiasm, she confirmed, “yep that’s me!” and revealed that she “made a brave bold move yesterday and got a summer haircut oh la la and I love it!”

She added: ‘It’s shorter than I’ve ever had ! It’s a super cute bob for summer . I think it looks very chic , very French !! hope y’all like it ??’

Downey received such a flood of compliments on her hair revamp that she posted again a few hours later to express her gratitude.

‘I appreciate all the support for my new haircut ! So many of you have left nice messages . I know it’s very different from my Touched By an Angel look,’ she wrote.

‘As many of you may remember I had long red hair for most of the series while playing Monica . And yes a blonde bob is totally different . But life keeps moving , time passing and change is inevitable,’ said the Derry-born screen siren.

‘It’s a hot summer and this cut feels cool and light and fresh and fun . I’ve been reading that healthy intentional hair is replacing high maintenance styles ! I don’t know yet how high maintenance this will be til I wash and style it myself !’ she noted.

‘But I like it ! It makes me feel sassy !! And Mr B likes it,’ added Downey, referring to her husband, who along with creating Donald Trump’s reality show also produced hits like Survivor, The Voice, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? and Shark Tank.

Both Downey and Burnett are on their respective third marriages – his previous wives were True Religion co-founder Kym Gold and talent agent Dianna Minerva, while her prior husbands were ER actor Leland Orser and Hoosiers director David Anspaugh.

Downey recently shared a warmhearted reflection on aging alongside Burnett, whom she exchanged vows with in 2007 when they were both 46.

‘Mark and I have a plaque with the Robert Browning quote “Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be” on it,’ she told AARP magazine in 2023.

‘When we bought it, the word “old” wasn’t in our vocabulary about each other. And now we look at each other in the morning and laugh, because until we’re up and going, we are like a couple of old crankies,’ she quipped.

‘But isn’t it lovely? I’m so grateful I have such a great partner and husband and someone to grow old with,’ said Downey, who was awarded an OBE in 2021.

RHOC Update: Emily Calls Out Tamra’s Vindictiveness, Heather Challenges Jenn Over Conversations, and Carmella Shares Personal Insights

RHOC Recap: Emily Accuses Tamra of Being Mean and Vindictive Over Podcast Drama, Heather Confronts Jenn for Exposing Her Convo About Tamra and Carmella Opens Up About Her Relationships

Turning 50 has never looked more fabulous than on the latest installment of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Gina organizes a bingo bash in honor of Emily’s milestone birthday, offering viewers a glimpse into Carmella’s world. Meanwhile, Heather navigates doubts about her trust in Jenn, and Tamra questions the authenticity of her friendship with Heather.

Amidst the celebration, Shannon extends an invitation to Gina and Jenn to join her quest for “balance” through a unique bungee workout. Despite commemorating Emily’s birthday in Paris, Gina realizes Emily missed out on celebrating at home. Seizing the chance, she plots a bingo drag brunch, encouraging all to don their best elderly attire for the fun-filled gathering.

While Shannon steers clear of discussing Tamra, Jenn questions why Heather seems so keen on maintaining a spotless reputation. Shannon emphasizes she never intended for Jenn to convey messages to Heather, striving to avoid a group confrontation. Icy interactions between Tamra and Heather leave Heather suspicious of Jenn’s motives. Although Jenn claims her goal was reconciliation, the attempt backfires, placing her in a precarious position. Tamra values Jenn’s honesty, yet the entanglement with Heather necessitates urgent resolution.

In another scene, Emily and Shane prepare promotional photos for their upcoming podcast, “Til Death Do Us Part.” While Emily cherishes her roots under the Two T’s banner, Gina reveals Tamra’s discontent over Emily’s perceived lack of gratitude. Emily questions why Tamra belittles her profitable endeavor, prompting Shane to suggest extending an olive branch with a thank you card to quell brewing tensions.

Tamra and Heather meet for some drinks and Heather states that she did not like the way her party ended.  When Jenn told Tamra that she is not friends with Heather like she thinks she is,  Heather feels like she is being baited.  However, Heather points out that if she DOES have a problem with Tamra, she tells her.

Heather tells Tamra she has had a lot of outbursts last year, but Tamra feels like Heather can be a bit manipulative. Heather goes on to say that just because you don’t like a person’s behavior, it does not mean you hate them.  Heather explains that every person in her life goes in a box and in year’s past, there were probably many things she would not say to Tamra.  Heather has since learned to compartmentalize certain aspects of Tamra and admits that she has talked about Tamra in the past.  Tamra believes that Heather changes her personality depending on who she is with, but realizes that the other girls will certainly tell her if Heather starts talking about her again.

Shannon invites Carmella (“I don’t even know your last name”) out shopping and then extends an invite to Emily’s upcoming 50th birthday party.  They seem to have an easy-going new-found friendship. Carmella opens up about her marriage to an NFL quarterback, but shares that they never officially divorced. Carmella goes on to explain that she was the Play Mate of the year in the early 2000’s and then she worked for WWE.

Vicki comes to hang with Tamra and chat about Heather’s party. Tamra explains that she believes Heather is downplaying their friendship and is more of a people pleaser so others will not talk about her. Tamra feels like Heather loves to reprimand her, especially about her podcast network. Tamra wonders why Emily gave her zero gratitude and it all felt very ungrateful.

Tamra thinks a trip to Havasu would be so fun and Vicki shares that she actually saw her ex, Don, while she was there. When she saw him, she said, “I’m so sorry I divorced you- I didn’t mean to do that,” which was certainly awkward in front of her new boyfriend. However, Vicki has since learned how to treat someone she loves from her past mistakes.

We get a taste of Carmella’s home life.  She is a mom to four and tries to teach them the value of a dollar as a self-proclaimed strict parent.  Carmella lives with her boyfriend Danny (of about ten years) and is happy that she met someone accepting of her and her children.

Emily feels like she has accomplished a lot of things in her 50 years on this planet. She gets ready for her party as Gina enters the brunch in her “mature era,” aka dressed as an old lady. Tamra is rocking a diaper and Heather looks like Cruella Deville. Heather is not thrilled to see Jenn, as she feels like Jenn is the only person turning things upside down.

When Carmella joins the group, we find out she is also a “bad a*s real estate agent, too.” Carmella opens up her husband had been unfaithful via iPad.  They are divorced now, but not legally divorced because she was unwilling to lose her children. Her ex lives in one of their houses with his girlfriend- there is no custody agreement in an effort to show the kids unity.

Emily enters bingo looking fire, while the rest of the group is donning old lady lewks. Gina just wanted Emily to feel hotter than everyone and she was successful. Emily wins a round of bingo and makes a quick birthday speech before everyone gives her aging advice.

Tamra shares that she has thrived more in her 50’s and Heather explains that the thing you have to be more careful about is your own brain- how you talk to yourself defines your decade. Shannon reminds Emily that age is just a number and Carmella explains that it is ok to not be with a man…but doesn’t she have a boyfriend?

Turns out, THIS guy also cheated on her.  Although Carmella loves Danny, she struggles getting over what took place, considering she left a marriage with her four children that ended the same way.

Heather takes a moment to point out that she wanted her party to celebrate friendships, but Jenn twisted the words of their conversation. Heather claims she does not have a “global issue” with Tamra and feels like she needs to step back from her friendship with Jenn.

In the spirit of clearing the air, this podcast thing has become an issue. Emily does not want something to become detrimental to her friendship with Tamra and claims she only did business things that were asked of her. Tamra was concerned Emily was being ungrateful and Emily wants respect. She claims that Tamra should thank her because she is making money off of her podcast. After much ado, they apologize to one another. Clearly these women of “a certain age” have learned to move on.

The episode ends with a cake for Emily and Tamra lets her know that she has never looked better. In the words of Emily, “Fifty is not fat!”

American Heir Indicted by FBI for Allegedly Funding Anti-Police and Pro-Hamas Activities

0

The U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI have their sights set on a new target in a financial crime investigation: James “Fergie” Cox Chambers Jr., a distant and rebellious heir of the wealthy Cox cable family.

Recently, Spanish authorities swooped in to detain Chambers on the opulent island of Ibiza. This action followed a global arrest warrant. Allegedly, Chambers is embroiled in money laundering activities and suspected of aiding Hamas, after years of what sources claim are financial contributions to entities and movements opposing Israel and Western interests. Now, his international network of allies rallies to paint him as a casualty of what they describe as the Trump administration’s oppressive tactics, while others see his capture as a triumph of justice that’s been a long time coming.

A representative of the police department responsible for the Balearic Islands, which includes Ibiza, shared with the media that an American citizen was apprehended under a global arrest warrant. This individual is subject to extradition proceedings to the U.S. Though the official did not disclose the detainee’s name, many insiders have identified this person as Chambers.

The arrest keeps the individual confined in Ibiza’s main detention center as they await a legal ruling via a virtual court session. In response, Chambers’ supporters are organizing a “Free Fergie Chambers” rally, scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. outside the jail. They aim to protest what they call “the fascism of Trump,” condemning what they perceive as an attack on advocates for the Palestinian cause.

A spokesperson for the FBI declined to comment. Chambers and his representatives couldn’t be reached for comment.

A convert to Islam, Chambers represents the fusion of socialist and communist activists with Islamist interests that seek the destruction of the West, free enterprise and the state of Israel and the rise of political Islam, communism and a new Palestinian state.

Chambers’ ideological comrades leaked news of the detention to trusted colleagues on far-left media platforms – some of which Chambers funds – and his communist, socialist and Islamist comrades are flooding social media to frame the narrative around the arrest as the Trump administration unfairly targeting Chambers.

The arrest is a significant move by the Trump administration as it targets far-left financiers allegedly engaged in supporting political violence. In this case, as in other investigations, federal authorities are following the money and investigating potential tax and financial crimes.

FBI Co-Deputy Director Chris Raia recently told News Media that investigators at the FBI’s Joint Mission Center have identified subjects tied to financing violent protest activity and have been building prosecutable cases.

Like Neville Roy Singham, the American tech tycoon accused of financing communist and far-left nonprofit organizations from his base in Shanghai, China, Chambers has made a name for himself as a financial backer of anti-Israel and anti-American causes around the world. As reported exclusively at News Media, the Justice Department has launched a grand jury investigation into Singham for alleged money laundering and other financial improprieties. It is currently prosecuting the Southern Poverty Law Center for alleged money laundering, bank fraud and wire fraud.

Chambers was born in 1985 in Brooklyn as James Cox Chambers Jr. to his father, James Cox Chambers, and mother, actress Lauren Hamilton. He is the great-grandson of James M. Cox, a former Ohio governor, 1920 Democratic presidential nominee and founder of the media company that became Cox Enterprises. Forbes estimates the Cox family empire is worth about $27 billion.

Chambers is now the estranged heir of Cox Enterprises, walking away from the family company in 2023 with a payout estimated at about $250 million after a falling out with his family over the company’s support for Atlanta’s controversial public safety training center, known by critics as “Cop City.” In April, a grand jury indicted three alleged Antifa-linked protesters accused of throwing firebombs at the general contractor of the Atlanta police training center.

Chambers openly redirected his fortune into communist collectives, bail and legal underwriting and groups engaged in hard-edged protest and property disruption.

Raised mostly in Brooklyn after his parents divorced, Chambers attended Saint Ann’s School and later enrolled at Bard College but didn’t graduate. He briefly worked for a Cox Enterprises subsidiary before operating gyms in Georgia and later became increasingly involved in left-wing activism following the anti-police protests in Ferguson, Mo., in 2014 and the demonstrations in Standing Rock, S.D., in 2016 against an oil pipeline.

Around 2019, Chambers established the “Berkshire Communists” collective in Alford, Mass., in a wealthy corner of western Massachusetts, where he built a commune, operated the Berkshire People’s Gym and launched a publication called “Combat Liberalism.”

Following the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attacks, Chambers became one of the most prominent financial backers of “Palestine Action,” later renamed “Unity of Fields,” while also funding legal defense efforts for activists involved in anti-Israel demonstrations and direct-action campaigns in the United Kingdom and the U.S.

He praised the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks as a “moment of hope and inspiration,” told Mother Jones that “the most important thing for the prosperity of humanity is the destruction of the US” and said, “I chant death to America every day.”

Local and national reporting place him behind the “Stop Cop City” opposition, bail after occupations and protests against Elbit Systems, a company that provides services to Israel, in Merrimack, N.H., and the U.K., and ongoing legal support for networks in the U.S. and U.K. led by the controversial “Palestine Action.”

After Alford, Mass., shut his Berkshire People’s Gym for zoning violations and law-enforcement scrutiny intensified, Chambers relocated to Tunis, in the North African nation of Tunisia.

In early February 2024, Chambers was photographed in his newly adopted city of Tunis in the North African nation of Tunisia, framing his narrative as a pious Muslim convert, with a red-and-white Palestinian kefiyyeh scarf draped over his shoulders, a black Muslim prayer cap on his head and a small beard on his face, a tradition that follows the sunnah, or practice, of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam.

The photo shoot included images of Chambers in Muslim prayer, at one point with his hands on his chest and at another point in “ruku” position, bent forward with his hands on his knees, staring at a point of concentration in front of him. In other shots, he walked by a local mosque, sat behind the wheel of a car with orange and green Muslim prayer beads, called “tazbi,” hanging on the rearview mirror. A pair of decorative boxing gloves with “RUSSIA” across the wrists, positioned on a red-and-white kefiyyeh spread along the dashboard.

Unconventional for traditional Muslims, who don’t often have dogs as pets because of a fundamentalist interpretation of Islam that bars dogs as pets in the home, Chambers also was photographed smoking a cigarette and walking on the beach with two small dogs who look like bulldogs. He also wore tattoos, including a sickle-and-barbells on his left hand.

By May 2026, his social media posts placed him in Ireland. This month, the self-declared communist vacationed among the wealthy in Ibiza, is now sitting in prison.
