California Parents File Lawsuit Against Luxury Daycare Over Allegations of Toddler Injury

0

A couple from California has initiated a lawsuit against a high-end country club daycare, accusing them of misconduct after their 23-month-old son experienced a serious brain injury. According to the claim, an employee allegedly swung the child between her legs, propelled him several feet into the air, and failed to catch him.

The legal action was taken by Matthew Kittle, Elena Kittle, and their young son, known in legal documents as C.K., against The Bay Clubs Company, LLC. The case was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Describing a shocking incident, the lawsuit claims that on March 17, at The Clubhouse at Bay Club El Segundo, the Kittle family experienced a nightmare. This facility, spanning 14,000 square feet, is marketed as a safe environment where children can enjoy supervised play and structured activities.

Rosen Saba, LLP, provided surveillance footage to News Media capturing the alarming sequence: a daycare worker tossing the toddler into the air, who then tragically fell to the ground just before being inadvertently landed upon by the adult.

According to the complaint, Matthew Kittle dropped off C.K. at the El Segundo Clubhouse at about 8:35 a.m. and told staff he planned to pick him up at 11:30 a.m. The suit says Kittle also told the club he would be at Manhattan Country Club, about a mile away, while his son was in the Bay Club’s care.

Less than an hour later, at about 9:20 a.m., the lawsuit alleges, a female Bay Club employee was holding C.K. by his hands when she intentionally swung him between her legs, hoisted him over her head and released his hands while he was about six feet above the ground.

The employee failed to catch him, the lawsuit says. C.K. allegedly fell to the hardwood floor, smashed his head and then the employee fell backward and landed on top of him.

The complaint includes still images it says are from Bay Club’s camera system. The filing alleges other adults in the room appeared “aghast” at the severity of the incident.

Ryan Saba, an attorney for the Kittle family, accused the club of failing the child and his parents.

“When a parent entrusts their child to a daycare, they expect the employees to be properly trained and responsible. The Bay Club failed on both accounts,” Saba, of Rosen Saba, LLP, told News Media.

The lawsuit alleges Bay Club staff then downplayed what happened.

At 9:28 a.m., Elena Kittle received a missed call from the Bay Club, according to the complaint. Two minutes later, Matthew Kittle received a call saying C.K. had “fallen” and had since “calmed down,” the suit alleges. A staff member allegedly said she did not think the parents needed to pick him up but wanted them to know an incident had occurred.

Matthew Kittle called back at 9:34 a.m. and, after being told he could not speak directly to Clubhouse staff, relayed that because he had been told C.K. was calm and not injured, they would pick him up at the end of his scheduled session, the lawsuit says.

At about 9:45 a.m., Bay Club called again and said C.K. needed to be picked up because staff had not been able to settle him down, according to the complaint.

When Matthew Kittle arrived around 10:10 a.m., the suit says, he saw injuries far worse than what had been described.

The child’s right eye was swollen shut, the right side of his face was badly bruised, and his mouth was swollen, according to the filing.

After returning home, the toddler was “extremely drowsy, lethargic, and irritable,” the lawsuit says.

The complaint alleges Elena Kittle later spoke with a Bay Club employee who identified herself as the aquatics director and said C.K. had been held by an employee who fell while squatting, with the child only about 1.5 feet above the ground.

The lawsuit says that account was false.

According to the lawsuit, the toddler was taken to the emergency room later that day for evaluation of blunt head trauma and was diagnosed with a concussion, traumatic brain injury and facial abrasions. (Rosen Saba, LLP)

C.K. was taken to a local hospital later that morning “for evaluation of blunt head trauma,” according to the complaint. Doctors diagnosed him with blunt head trauma, a concussion, also described in the filing as a traumatic brain injury, and a facial abrasion, the lawsuit says.

The suit alleges medical staff questioned whether the child’s injuries matched the club’s description of a short fall.

The next day, C.K. was taken to his pediatrician, where the lawsuit says the doctor also questioned whether the injuries were consistent with a fall of roughly 1.5 feet.

The Kittles repeatedly pressed Bay Club for video, according to the complaint.

On March 21, the company provided the video to the parents, who were “shocked” by the fall and by what they say was an effort to conceal the truth, the lawsuit says.

The complaint also alleges Bay Club’s incident report was false and misleading. According to the lawsuit, the report said the employee lost her footing while picking up C.K. and “caught” him, helping avoid him hitting the ground.

The lawsuit alleges the video proved otherwise.

The family says C.K. continued suffering symptoms in the days and weeks after the incident, including sensitivity to light and sound, irritability, irregular sleep, lethargy and attachment issues.

On April 9, C.K. was evaluated at the UCLA Concussion Clinic, where a neurology specialist noted he was still experiencing concussion symptoms, the complaint says. The lawsuit alleges he continues to suffer symptoms from the traumatic brain injury, including hearing loss.

The suit alleges negligence, negligence per se, negligent hiring, supervision and retention, negligent infliction of emotional distress, fraud, intentional infliction of emotional distress and battery. The family is seeking damages, punitive damages, civil and statutory penalties, attorneys’ fees and a jury trial.

The Bay Club said in a statement to News Media that it could not discuss pending litigation.

“We are unable to comment on ongoing litigation. At the Bay Club, the safety of our members, team members, and the families we serve is our highest priority,” the company said.

Discover the Magic: ‘Moana’ Live-Action Premiere Shines in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Washington Heights

0

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, New York — On Thursday evening, the stars of Disney’s live-action “Moana” graced Washington Heights for the film’s New York premiere.

A blue carpet welcomed attendees, offering an exclusive look at the movie.

This film breathes new life into the cherished, Oscar-nominated animated tale.

Renowned “Hamilton” director Thomas Kail takes his first step into feature filmmaking with this project.

Lin-Manuel Miranda not only co-produces the movie but also brings his musical talents to its soundtrack.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returns to the movie and talked to Joelle Garguilo at the premiere about his journey from spending time in Hawaii as a child.

“That kid who got evicted off the island of Hawaii and who couldn’t pay the rent? I always say this because it’s locked in my brain. 180 bucks a week was our rent and we couldn’t pay it so we got evicted. So that kid who got evicted off the island to now here in NYC, Moana, this crazy blue carpet, it’s amazing,” Dwayne Johnson said.

“I want people to see it with their families in theatres. I think a lot of people discovered Moana at home, on streaming, and their kids sing the songs and they sing the songs but it’s a whole other experience to see Tommy’s incredible vision of this film on a big screen with the surround sound,” Lin-Manuel Miranda said.

Watch the new live-action “Moana” film in theaters everywhere Friday, July 10.

Disney is the parent company of this station.

Explosive Developments: Investigators Head to U.S. for Interviews in Prince Andrew Accusations

0

British police investigating former Prince Andrew plan to journey to the United States to interview the family of Virginia Giuffre, his long-term accuser who has now passed away, according to recent reports.

Thames Valley Police, the department tasked with probing Andrew’s alleged sexual offenses, are preparing to visit the US soon. Their objective is to speak with Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, and his wife, Amanda, as reported by the Times of London.

The Giuffre family has expressed optimism, noting that Thames Valley Police have shown considerable initiative in delving into the accusations against the former royal, as detailed in the Times.

The officers have already requested access to case files and aim to engage with some of Andrew’s former bodyguards, the report added.

However, the discussions with Sky and Amanda will not be formal interviews, as they are not regarded as direct witnesses to the allegations.

It’s not clear if Thames Valley police bosses have received permission from US authorities to carry out an interview.

A spokesperson for the police force said it was following “all reasonable lines of inquiry,” without delving into the specifics.

Andrew was initially investigated over long-running claims by Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre that she was made to have sex with him three times — starting when she was 17 — on orders from the financier and his madam Ghislaine Maxwell.

Andrew was never charged and has always denied any wrongdoing – but paid her between $14 million and $16 million in an out-of-court settlement in February 2022. Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025 age 41.

Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday in February, accused of misconduct in public office after allegedly forwarding confidential trade documents to Epstein.

In May, it was reported that the ex-prince was being probed over potential sex crimes at royal residences – including Royal Lodge.

Investigators are keen to speak with a woman, who claimed Epstein sent her to have sex with Andrew at his now-former home Royal Lodge for “sexual purposes” in 2010 when she was in her 20s.

“We hope that anyone with relevant information will come forward whenever they are ready to engage with us; our door is always open,” Oliver Wright, the Assistant Chief Constable, said, confirming the woman had not yet come forward.

“There is a risk that the victim survivors may be put off from contacting us because they feel the weight of public, national and international focus will be too much for them.”

Wright said officers would listen and investigate when “she feels ready and able … to come forward and talk to us.”

It marked the first time an Epstein accuser claimed to have had sex with Andrew at a royal residence.

How One Unforgettable Moment with My Daughter Helped Me Overcome Drug Addiction

0

The memory of my daughter, just four years old at the time, walking into the kitchen asking for breakfast, remains one of the most humiliating moments of my life. As she stood there, I was still reeling from a night of cocaine use, the effects of which lingered long after she had gone to sleep in her bed upstairs.

Amid the remnants of my indulgence, she appeared in her pink pajamas, hoping for toast and a viewing of the Trolls movie. Hastily, I managed to prepare her breakfast, set her up at the spotless kitchen table with an iPad, and then faced the daunting task of figuring out how to parent for the rest of the day.

With my husband away on a work trip (a rare scenario that had led to such reckless behavior home rather than at the pub), I realized in that instant I had crossed an undeniable line.

I soon called a taxi to take us to my mother’s house, where I broke down and confessed that I believed I was struggling with addiction. This pivotal moment propelled me to seek help through rehab. More than nine years later, the weight of that shame still lingers, forcing me to pause several times while writing this column to remind myself that my daughter and I have since moved past this chapter, and that she hasn’t witnessed me intoxicated since.

So why revisit this painful memory now? Watching the recent Katie Price documentary brought it all rushing back, especially during the emotional segments featuring her children, Princess and Junior, as they recounted the turmoil caused by their mother’s cocaine use during their younger years.

‘I remember this one time I was in her bed, waiting for her to come back and I woke up at 3.30am to some loud noises and I see her come in the room,’ said Junior, who was just 13 at the time. ‘I’ll never forget the look on her face. She was obviously on stuff… I could see it in her eyes. It scared me because I’ve never seen my mum like that. Mum was on drugs and she couldn’t look after us and that’s the reality of it.’

Junior would go on to live with his dad, Peter Andre. ‘It made me feel like I wasn’t good enough because she wasn’t fixing herself for me, or us,’ he added. ‘Are we not good enough for you?’

His sentiments were echoed by his sister, Princess, who recalled that when she was only 11, her primary attachment to her mother was via a blanket that Price sprayed with her perfume. ‘I remember after school I used to go home and feel so lonely, I used to cuddle into the blanket and just cry.’

Junior and Princess Andre, who broke down in tears, said Price’s drug use made them question whether they were ‘good enough’ as children

These heartbreaking details will, of course, lead many to criticise Price, who has since got back on the straight and narrow, at least where drugs are concerned. She says that the way she affected her children ‘breaks my heart’. But I’m grateful for the family’s honesty, because it shines a light on a subject that few people talk about, and that’s the many children who live with a parent struggling with drugs and alcohol.

According to the most recent data, 478,000 children have a parent with problem alcohol or drug use. This huge number is partly why I talk so openly about my own shameful behaviour when my daughter was a toddler – because recovery is possible, and I really, really wish more women were aware of that.

When I was pregnant, I knew nothing about addiction. I genuinely thought that a baby would cure me of my hard-partying ways. It was a shock, then, when just a week after giving birth I found myself craving booze and drugs. I was so ashamed, I buried my dependency under layers and layers of denial.

I count myself lucky that my husband was a sober, present dad – as Peter Andre so clearly was – because had he been anything like me, I’m pretty sure social services would have taken our daughter from us. Similarly, I am so, so grateful to have been able to go to rehab, because recovery has gifted my daughter the mother she deserved all along.

There are many people who find it completely unfathomable that a woman might not be able to find the willpower to stop doing drugs after she’s had kids. To these people I’d like to say: lucky you, because you’ve clearly not had to encounter the misery of addiction.

It’s a remarkably common – and remarkably misunderstood – illness, one that thrives in the shame and stigma attached to it. When I got clean, I couldn’t believe the number of women I met who had almost identical stories to mine. Like me, they’d put off speaking to a GP or a therapist because of the fear their child might be taken away from them.

I remember hearing their stories and thinking, ‘If only I’d known you existed, I might have got help earlier.’ This is why I’ve repeated that unpleasant memory of utterly neglectful parenting, despite knowing full well people will judge me terribly for it – because there might be a woman out there who needs to know that she isn’t a bad person, just an ill one who sometimes makes bad choices because of that illness.

So let’s applaud Princess and Junior Andre for speaking so frankly about their childhood experiences, and Katie Price for not trying to minimise or deny what they went through. In doing so they send out a powerful message: that you can only tackle a problem by acknowledging it’s there in the first place.

Zendaya’s a goddess… but she must be melting!

Congratulations to Zendaya – not for her star turn in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster The Odyssey, but for going to the London premiere in a frock that made her look like an actual Greek sculpture.

The actress’s Schiaparelli couture dress was flown in on a private jet straight from the Paris catwalk it had appeared on that morning, and featured a breastplate that looked hotter than the Ithacan sun.

No wonder she changed into a free-flowing Valentino gown the moment she entered the cinema.

Who knew that Wimbledon had an on-site pharmacy? All the women hobbling along to it with aching feet, that’s who.

Turns out that Compeed blister plasters have been one of the bestselling items at the All England Club’s chemist, with sales up sharply on last year, perhaps due to a dramatic rise in celebrities and influencers attending in their stilettos.

All of which proves once and for all that while tennis runs the risk of injury, there’s no more competitive sport than fashion.

Hey Jude, I’m loving your bromance

Many will be glued to the England vs Norway game on Saturday, not to analyse the football, but instead to get a glimpse of the iconic bromance between Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland

I’ll be glued to the England game against Norway on Saturday night, mostly to check in on how Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland are coping having to play against each other.

The iconic duo have something of a bromance going, and the internet has been chock-a-block with videos of them gazing lovingly into one another’s eyes from back when they used to play together at Borussia Dortmund.

Forget about Heated Rivalry – this is more like Cleated Rivalry!

Stay cool with a hot water bottle

How are you getting on during the latest ‘mass sleep deprivation event’, as Greenpeace has taken to describing Britain’s heatwaves? Having tried all the hot weather hacks – ice in front of a fan, blinds down and windows shut during the day – I’ve finally alighted on the best trick, which is to shove my hot water bottle in the freezer, and then fall asleep clinging to it as I do in deep midwinter. Unlike an air conditioning unit, it’s cheap to run and useful all year round.

London Faces Turmoil Following Morocco’s Victory in World Cup Match

0

A social media prankster recently sparked buzz with a bold prediction about the World Cup, injecting a mix of humor and foresight into an otherwise intense global event.

Though the forecast fell short in specifics, it was not entirely off the mark. The aftermath of Morocco’s 2-0 loss to France in the FIFA World Cup on Thursday saw London grappling with unrest, rather than Paris.

As darkness cloaked the city, the disorder highlighted deep-seated tensions, reflecting the broader implications of England’s immigration policies. This evolved reality paints a stark contrast to the Britain renowned for its stoic demeanor.

DOWNFALL: It’s Bloody Over: Keir Starmer’s Collapse Is Complete

Is Britain on the Edge of Civil War? (VIP)

As the tweet at the beginning of this story shows, many thought it was the French capital that would get hit — they’ve allowed insane immigration, too — but they forgot about good old Britannia:

As a result [of Morocco’s loss], many feared Paris would erupt into riots, especially after the chaos that followed Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League victory over Arsenal in May.

Instead, images and videos from Edgware Road in northwest London showed police clashing with large crowds as smoke billowed through the streets and debris littered the roadway.

Riot police, equipped with shields and body armor, tried to contain the crowds as they clashed with people launching fireworks and throwing debris. One video also appeared to show an officer down.

The officer described appears to have been felled by injuries during the melee; it’s unclear how serious his condition is, but it’s disturbing to witness:

When I think of London, I imagine double-decker red buses, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, and scones with clotted cream. Those days appear to be over.

I admit to having taken an Ancestry DNA test. I was secretly hoping that I’d have an exotic past, with a little Italian, maybe some Viking, and perhaps something totally unexpected, but nope: I was all Scottish/English/Irish, with a little Scandinavian thrown in. It saddens me to see the decline that has overtaken my ancestors’ country.

We regularly have mayhem too here in this country after championship games are decided— most recently the outbursts in NYC after the Knicks won the NBA championship in June.

And, to be fair, the Brits have their own past bad behavior to account for. The infamous “soccer hooligans” from the 1970s to the 1990s brought rowdiness and drunken behavior to matches all across Europe. But the U.K. rightfully cracked down on those ruffians, and they rarely make news anymore.

As bad as those are — and I certainly don’t condone them — the London riots feel different, because they’re about a team that is not even English and has nothing to do with the almost 2,000-year old Londinium.

For this, and so many other reasons, it certainly feels like we’re watching the end of an empire in real-time. Put Britain on suicide watch, because they’re slowly killing themselves.

Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left’s lies, new legislation wasn’t needed to secure our border, just a new president.

Gainesville Individual Arrested Following Pepper Spray Incident and Attempted Child Abduction at Pet Store

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – An unsettling incident unfolded yesterday at a pet store, leading to the arrest of 75-year-old Marshall Scott Avener. Authorities allege that Avener pepper-sprayed five adults and attempted to grab a child following a peculiar confrontation where he reportedly requested children to pet him instead of his dog.

The confrontation occurred around 7:50 p.m. on July 8 at Pet Supermarket on NW 13th Street. A Gainesville Police Department officer was called after a male victim reported an unsettling encounter. Avener, accompanied by his dog, reportedly approached the man’s family and invited his children to pet the dog. When the youngsters didn’t respond, Avener bizarrely suggested they could “pet the man instead.” This unexpected remark led the male victim to chastise Avener for inappropriate behavior, urging him to leave the vicinity.

Instead of de-escalating, Avener allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation with the man, which intensified as he walked away, only to return multiple times. The situation took a troubling turn when Avener reportedly made a move to grab a four-year-old child.

In response, the male victim vociferously reminded Avener that he had no right to touch the children and demanded he leave the premises. The escalating tension culminated when Avener allegedly produced a can of pepper spray, directing it towards the male victim’s face and catching two store clerks in the blast.

Family members of the four-year-old child told the officer they were outside the store when the male victim ran out, followed by Avener, who allegedly continued spraying the pepper spray, affecting three more people outside the store.

Avener reportedly ran to his car, followed by the male victim, and Avener allegedly sprayed the male victim again before leaving the scene in his car.

The officer reported that the male victim’s head and upper chest were bright red, and his eyes were visibly irritated. One employee’s right arm was visibly irritated, and both employees had a burning sensation in their eyes.

One person outside the store had visible irritation in his face and eyes, and another person outside had visible irritation on her chest and neck. The other person outside had soreness in his lungs from inhaling the pepper spray.

Officers sent out a bulletin for Avener’s car, and several victims and a witness positively identified Avener in separate photo lineups. Two of the people who were sprayed outside the store said they heard Avener ask the male victim’s children if they wanted to “pet the man,” and the four-year-old’s mother said she saw Avener reaching toward her child before the male victim stopped him.

One of the employees told the officer she heard Avener ask the children if they wanted to “pet the man” and added that Avener kept walking away and then going back to re-engage with the male victim three times. She said that after he walked back the third time, he pepper-sprayed the whole store, covering the cash registers, the front doors, and everyone inside with pepper spray.

Officers made contact with Avener at his residence, and post Miranda, he reportedly said some guy tried to attack him, so he pepper-sprayed him. He said he did not know why the male victim was upset with him.

When Avener was asked what led to his use of the pepper spray, he reportedly said he entered the store and saw the children react to his dog, but when he asked them if they wanted to pet it, they did not respond. He said he followed that by asking, “Do you want to pet me?”, which led to the male victim getting angry.

When Avener was asked what he meant by that question, he reportedly said he didn’t know why he asked the children that question. He said the male victim chased him and he pepper-sprayed him outside the store, but he denied spraying inside the store or spraying anybody else.

When asked whether he had walked away from the male victim and then went back to start arguing again, he reportedly admitted to going back to re-engage with the male victim.

Avener reportedly said he never attempted to touch the four-year-old child and everyone was lying.

When asked why he had not called 911 if he was attacked, Avener said he probably should have.

Avener has been charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm, child abuse without great bodily harm, and four counts of battery. Avener has no local criminal convictions; a child abuse case was opened against him in 2003, but it was dropped less than a month later. Judge William Davis ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Houston ICE Agents Involved in Fatal Shooting Lacked Body Cameras, Sources Reveal

0

Sources with knowledge of the investigation have revealed to Fox News that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents involved in the deadly shooting of an undocumented immigrant in Houston earlier this week were not equipped with body cameras at the time of the incident.

This revelation adds a new layer to the intense scrutiny surrounding the shooting, which has captured nationwide attention. The situation is currently under review by the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General, while prosecutors in Houston have launched their own independent investigation.

The deceased, identified as Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, was a Mexican national allegedly residing illegally in the United States. According to ICE, the fatal incident occurred on Tuesday when Araujo reportedly attempted to use his vehicle as a weapon against an ICE officer.

In response to the shooting, several Democratic lawmakers are advocating for an independent investigation to ensure transparency and accountability regarding the events leading up to and resulting in Araujo’s death.

“Every single ICE agent involved in the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo must be investigated to the full extent of the law,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wrote on X. “Video footage of the killing must be released immediately. The American people deserve the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani also called for “real accountability” following the shooting and reiterated his support for abolishing ICE.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum vowed to pursue “legal measures” following the shooting.

Asked whether the officers involved were wearing body cameras, the Department of Homeland Security directed Fox News to ICE’s previous statement regarding the shooting, in which the agency accused Araujo of attempting to evade arrest.

ICE previously told News Media that Araujo “rammed an ICE law enforcement vehicle, refused to follow multiple verbal commands and weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer, resulting in our officer firing his weapon in self-defense.”

Araujo was struck and taken to a hospital, where he later died.

“This is a developing situation, and we will update the public when more information is available,” the agency added.

Little video of the encounter has emerged publicly in the days since the shooting.

Araujo’s family has disputed ICE’s account of the shooting and called on the agency to release any available video evidence.

Irish Man Sentenced for Tragic Murder of American Nurse in Budapest

0

In a tragic case from 2024, an Irish man will be incarcerated for over a decade for the brutal murder of an American nurse during her vacation in Hungary.

The assailant, referred to only as LTM, was convicted of killing Mackenzie “Kenzie” Michalski of Fredonia, NY, during a private encounter in Budapest on November 5, 2024.

In a ruling by the Budapest Metropolitan Court, LTM was sentenced to 14 years behind bars, which accounts for an 18-month reduction for time already served prior to the trial.

Additionally, the court ordered LTM to cover legal costs amounting to $7,995.

Michalski, a Portland, Oregon resident, had been indulging in the vibrant nightlife of Budapest, known as her “happy place,” after exploring Europe with a friend.

She was expected to fly back home the next day before she met the then-37-year-old Irish native at a nightclub.

The two danced before returning to the man’s rented apartment.

During the night, Michalski was strangled and beaten to death by the man during their “intimate encounter,” police said.

LTM admitted to killing Michalski, but claimed it was an accident.

Between the time of Michalski’s death and his arrest, LTM made several disturbing internet searches, including how to dispose of a body, do pigs really eat dead bodies, wild boars in the Lake Balaton, Hungary area and the competence of Budapest police.

Michalski’s body was stuffed in a wardrobe before the killer moved her to a newly bought suitcase and drove her to an area 90 miles southwest of Budapest.

He dumped Michalski’s body in a wooded area near the town of Szigliget.

Gretchen Tower, the friend Michalski had been travelling with, reported her missing to the US Embassy after she stopped answering her phone, failed to check out of her Airbnb on Nov. 6, and missed her flight back to the US.

Police launched a missing persons investigation where they found several videos that captured Michalski with the man at multiple nightclubs the night she went missing.

LTM was identified as the mysterious suitor and taken into police custody on Nov. 7, two days after Michalski’s death.

LTM’s attorney appealed the ruling.

Prince Harry Embraces Alison Hammond and Plays Pickleball as Meghan and Kids Plan UK Visit

0

Prince Harry was all smiles as he hugged TV personality Alison Hammond before challenging her to a lively session of laser tag at a Birmingham event that initially anticipated Meghan Markle’s attendance.

In a bustling atmosphere, the Duke of Sussex also raced against This Morning’s host and his friend JJ Chalmers as part of promoting the Invictus Games. Meanwhile, it’s rumored that his wife and their two children are expected to join him in the UK by the weekend.

Though the presence of Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet is anticipated, they are not slated for any public appearances. Discussions remain ongoing about the potential for a reunion with King Charles.

Initially, the Duchess of Sussex planned to accompany Harry to the Invictus Games event in Birmingham; however, security issues prevented her from traveling to the UK with him earlier this week.

During a live appearance on This Morning, Harry expressed his enthusiasm about being in Birmingham, describing it as ‘great’ and noting the city’s significance as a pivotal location for wounded soldiers returning from Afghanistan.

He added: ‘Being here back in Birmingham means a hell of a lot to most of these guys’, saying it was a ‘real homecoming for some of them’.

The Duke also said there was ‘resilience in every single one of us’. He told Alison Hammond: ‘By the way my kids love Junior Bake Off.’

Ms Hammond then asked him to her house for ackee and saltfish – but that she needed to tidy up first. He joked that he would bleach her toilet.

Harry also called football ‘soccer’ when talking about the World Cup quarter-finals before apologising and correcting himself.

With Arthur Fery in the Wimbledon semi-final today, Harry also showed off his racquet skills when he tried pickleball – an alternative to tennis – at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in the Second City.

Meghan is now widely expected to travel to Britain with Archie and Lilibet, with some claiming they are already here, fuelling speculation that the King could finally meet his California-based grandchildren for the first time in four years.

Helen Helliwell, chief executive of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, opened the event by saying: ‘Invictus has always been more than a week of games.’

She added: ‘It transforms lives not only for competitors but for their families.’

Harry was joined by This Morning and Great British Bake Off host Alison Hammond, who is from Birmingham, and TV presenter Ade Adepitan, who won a bronze with the GB basketball team at the 2004 Paralympics.

The duke joined a partner on court to compete against another pair in pickleball, which will make an appearance when the games are staged in Birmingham next year.

Harry was clearly enjoying himself at the ‘One Year to Go’ event, with one particularly funny moment where he went to shake hands with an opponent and pulled away his hand, sparking roars of laughter.

Harry was later joined by former defence minister Al Cairns to compete in a game of wheelchair rugby where he was seen clattering into other competitors.

He then watched on as veterans, including Mr Cairns, took part in a hybrid athletics event, where the Duke chuckled at the MP’s efforts to jump repeatedly on to a box.

The royal, who arrived in London on Monday, has not been joined in the UK by Meghan or their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet due to a row over security.

However, it was last night reported that the Duchess of Sussex and the children could be coming to the UK this weekend, although the trio are not expected to be seen at any public engagements.

If, as expected, the Sussexes make their home at Althorp, the ancestral home of Harry’s maternal family, the Spencers, for the next couple of days, it may be that a meeting with King Charles doesn’t take place until this weekend – or possibly even Monday, before His Majesty embarks on another busy week of engagements.

Highgrove, Sandringham or Windsor could be a venue, as Harry has made clear he won’t bring his family to London because he is convinced it is ‘unsafe’.

The Duke of Sussex yesterday met seriously ill children and nurses at Birmingham Children’s Hospital as his five-day trip to Britain continued.

Harry toured the wards as he marked the 20th anniversary of the hospital’s WellChild Nurse programme, having been patron of the charity for 18 years.

Harry’s visit to the UK is part of the ‘One Year to Go’ celebrations for the next Invictus Games in the city in July 2027.

On Wednesday, he was also at the Royal Hospital Chelsea for meetings about the Invictus Games Foundation, including a summit for international team managers.

They spoke about plans for the Invictus Spirit Awards in the capital this September.

While Harry was in Birmingham, other members of the Royal Family carried on with a busy series of summer engagements – with the duke’s estranged brother Prince William travelling to Hastings on Thursday to meet a fishing community as well as local youth-led and community-driven organisations.

In Birmingham yesterday, Harry was surrounded by nurses when he visited the hospital and spoke about the ‘financial difficulties’ facing the NHS.

Harry was highlighting WellChild’s specialist nursing programme, helping seriously ill children and their families transition from the hospital to their homes.

His appearance caused excitement in the hospital corridors, with one female medic receiving a hug.

Families asked for pictures and the duke posed for a group shot with around a dozen nurses, telling them: ‘Thank you for everything you do.’

Harry met two nurses funded by WellChild, which facilitates the early discharge of children by teaching their parents the skills needed to provide care at home, and met some of the young patients.

In a lighter moment the duke revealed his son’s love of toy building bricks when he shared stories with Alec Hill, 12, and his parents.

‘Do you know who’s obsessed with Lego? My son Archie – and he’s a master builder,’ said Harry.

Pauline Hanson and Angus Taylor Clash Over Preference Deal Debate

0

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has urged Opposition leader Angus Taylor to refrain from undermining her party, following his assertion that their policies would “bankrupt us” and inflict “endless suffering.”

Over the past day, Hanson and Taylor have exchanged a series of criticisms, although the Liberal party head has not completely dismissed the possibility of a preference deal with One Nation in future elections.

On Thursday evening, Hanson expressed her displeasure through a video statement on social media, responding to Taylor’s earlier remarks at the Sydney Institute that day.

“Feeling quite let down,” Hanson commented in a video shared from her travels in the UK, emphasizing, “Angus, you should know I’m not your adversary.”

Taylor, on the other hand, seemed to reinforce his stance, describing One Nation’s policies as “lacking coherence.”

Taylor called One Nation ‘a column of smoke’

Speaking to Sky on Friday, Taylor responded to a question on whether he would make a preference deal with One Nation by saying that preference deals would be sorted closer to the election.

Taylor said that he’s open to “work with anyone to get rid of this Labor government”.

“But what I am saying is that One Nation doesn’t have the answers.”

“If you pick a small subset of their policy, they will add a trillion dollars of spending over 10 years — about a hundred billion dollars a year. That would drive up inflation and interest rates,” he said.

Hanson had accused Taylor of picking up policies from One Nation, including on immigration, net zero and the fuel excise.

“So on the policies that you say won’t work, it’s not the truth at all,” she said.

Hanson also called for the Opposition to work with One Nation. “The people of Australia are crying out for change,” she said.

“Listen to the people, Angus, and work with me.”

During his speech at the Sydney Institute on Thursday night, Taylor called One Nation’s team “a one-person show”.

“One Nation claims to offer a way out of our national malaise,” he said. “In reality, they would only make things worse.”

He then criticised One Nation for frequently switching positions, saying the party was “a column of smoke”.

He also said One Nation lacked government experience, while its economic policies could increase the size of the government, which Taylor claimed to be the “root cause of our economic crisis”.

“If they found their way into government, they’d learn the lesson the hard way.”

While One Nation has been rising in the polls to at one point be the most popular party by primary vote, support has slipped since Senator Hanson’s address to the National Press Club in June, where she called for Australia to be a monoculture.

Since taking over as opposition leader in February, Taylor has presided over the coalition falling to 17 per cent support in Newspoll, a historic low.

Deputy Opposition leader Jane Hume said there was still uncertainty about One Nation’s policies.

“The reason why One Nation don’t cost their policies is because they don’t want to know what the answer is. The reason why One Nation doesn’t have a plan is because they have a slogan written on the back of a napkin,” she told Seven’s Sunrise.
