Watch: Shocking Nepal-China Border Mudslide Sends People Fleeing

0

A dramatic video has emerged showcasing the aftermath of flash flooding along the border between Nepal and China, where mudslides engulfed several buildings as residents hurried to safety in Gyirong, Tibet, a town close to China’s border with Nepal.

The destructive mudslides followed closely on the heels of a 4.4-magnitude earthquake. Just seven minutes after this seismic event, videos captured the frantic escape of people from the disaster’s path, as reported by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).

Nepal’s foreign minister, Shishir Khanal, addressed the nation’s parliament and highlighted the significant role earthquakes could play in such natural disasters, according to a Reuters report.

Authorities suspect that the earthquake triggered an ice-rock avalanche, which subsequently surged into the Lhende Khola River in Nepal, contributing to the destructive floods, as noted by Reuters.

At least 95 people have been confirmed dead after rescue authorities in Nepal recovered at least that many bodies.

Nepal’s tourism authority said at least 484 tourists have also been reported missing, at least three of whom are U.S. citizens.

Reports claim as many as several dozen more Americans are missing. No official count of Americans was immediately released by the U.S. government.

The U.S. State Department said it was monitoring the situation closely and communicating with authorities in Nepal.

“The Trump administration has no higher priority than the safety and security of Americans,” a State Department spokesperson told News Media in a statement.

“The State Department is aware of Americans impacted by the floods in Nepal and is closely tracking the situation. The embassy is working closely with local tour agencies and local authorities to assist Americans in the affected areas. We extend our deepest condolences for the victims and to the families of all those affected.

“We strongly encourage U.S. citizens in the affected areas to monitor local news, follow the emergency instructions provided by local authorities, and enroll in STEP.state.gov to receive important emergency information,” the spokesperson added.

The State Department’s office of Consular Affairs also relayed travel advisories for specific areas within Nepal.

“The flood destroyed buildings and damaged roads, bridges, electricity infrastructure, and communications. Nepali authorities ordered people living along riverbanks and in low-lying areas to move to safer locations,” the department posted on X.

“Avoid travel on the Prithvi Highway, the Galchhi–Nuwakot–Rasuwa–Syafrubesi road, and the Mugling–Narayangadh road until authorities lift restrictions. If you are in Rasuwagadhi, Timure, Syafrubesi, Langtang, or another affected area, contact the U.S. Embassy when safe to do so and provide your name, location, and status,” the advisory said.

Sixty-five people are being treated at hospitals in and around Nepal’s capital of Kathmandu, according to local officials.

Authorities also warned a second flood is possible since there is still a blockage on the Lhende Khola River.

China deployed 574 rescuers to Tibet’s Gyirong land crossing, though one rescuer told CCTV it would take hours to reach the deluged site, Reuters reported.

India’s government and the European Union (EU) have publicly offered support to Nepal and China.

“Spoke to Prime Minister Balendra Shah and conveyed condolences on the loss of lives due to the floods in Nepal. The people of India stand in solidarity with their sisters and brothers in Nepal at this difficult time. India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to Nepal. Our teams are coordinating closely on rescue and relief efforts,” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in a post on X.

Shah responded on X, calling Modi’s gesture “a reflection of the enduring bonds of friendship between our two countries, which we profoundly value.”

“Devastating floods have struck communities in Nepal and China. My thoughts are with all those affected, especially the families who have lost loved ones or are still waiting for news… Copernicus has been activated to help map the affected areas in Nepal and support the response on the ground. We stand ready to mobilise further European assistance,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also wrote on X, offering up the use of Copernicus, the EU’s Earth monitoring satellite program.

Hilary Duff and Taylor Swift Offered Open Guest Roles on ‘Adults’ Cast: “She Can Play Whatever She Wants

“Why not, FX?! Take a crazy chance!”

This whimsical line, taken straight from Hilary Duff’s famous lyrics, was Owen Thiele’s playful rallying cry as he and the team from Adults stopped by Decider’s studio. They gathered to delve into the thriving success of Season 2, while also sharing their visions and wishes for a potential third season, including their ideal guest star line-up.

When comedy creators Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw introduced their lively series centered around twenty-somethings in 2025, it quickly captivated audiences. Fans became enamored with the close-knit friendship and domestic escapades of characters Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Issa (Amita Rao), Anton (Owen Thiele), and Paul Baker (Jack Innanen). The premiere season scored a respectable 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, featuring notable guest appearances by Charlie Cox and Julia Fox. The follow-up, however, soared to greater heights with a flawless 100% rating, welcoming stars like Raven-Symoné and Zosia Mamet, marking it as a phenomenal success.

Reflecting on the achievements of their second season, the cast is filled with creative ideas while eagerly anticipating the future. “A Hilary Duff cameo would blow our minds,” Thiele revealed enthusiastically to Decider. “Imagine having our own animated versions with her,” suggested Rao. Furthermore, committed Adults admirer Taylor Swift is warmly invited to join anytime. “She could absolutely take on any role she desires,” Thiele expressed.

Following the premiere of Adults Season 2 on Thursday, August 27 at 9:00 p.m. ET, Decider carefully segmented their interview into three parts to preserve surprises. In Part 1, the conversation covers the prequel episode focused on Paul Baker, the introduction of Owen’s sister Talia (played by Raven-Symoné), an intriguing storyline involving Issa and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez freezing their eggs, and various other highlights.

DECIDER: Before we dive into Season 2, we have to talk about the Paul Baker prequel episode. Jack, what was it like re-contextualizing the character?

JACK INNANEN: It was hard to pretend that I didn’t know them all. That was really tricky on camera. It made me sad. But it was cool to see, in doing it in reverse, how we met, and then to contextualize everything else.

MALIK ELASSAL: I was being rude to you because I didn’t know Paul Baker. I went method.

INNANEN: He was being mean. He was being a monster off-set for the whole season.

After Billie’s elaborate journey to get her problematic Facebook post removed, the premiere features some real-life footage of all of your internet pasts. What was it like selecting those and seeing how far you’ve come?

AMITA RAO: You know, there was a short-lived attempt of only private YouTube videos where I tried to be a vlogger and just seeing how far I’ve come, and kind of what I was into at the time — tribal print, biking — like that was a journey.

LUCY FREYER: Your raw, unedited YouTube videos — she has them. The full things. Like 35 minutes. And she’s like, “Hi guys!” And then she’ll like reset, and she’ll be like, “Hi guys.” And it’s like that for like 30 seconds.

RAO: It was like me trying to nail that classic 2010s YouTube intro.

FREYER: Wait, what was it? “Sorry to disturb you!” She wanted that to be a catchphrase. [Laughs]

RAO: “Sorry to disturb you!” Yeah, so I cut out the dis. And it was just, “Sorry to sturb you!” [Laughs]

Owen, it was shocking to see Anton’s more immature alter ego around his family. What was it like playing that hilarious change opposite your pal Raven-Symoné?

OWEN THIELE: Well, she’s become my pal, but she’s a role model to me. She’s my icon, and I’m obsessed with her. So to work with her was a dream come true. I remember when Jack and I were at the diner, and we were opposite Raven-Symoné; there was a moment where I was like, “Wait, cut! I’m with Raven-Symoné here, this is crazy!” It was really fun. Also, the flip where Anton is so nice to everyone except his family is so relatable to me, not that I’m mean to my family; I love my family. But I can get a little snippy. So it’s fun to pull from.

When you host your In Your Dreams podcast, you have this incredible wall of pop culture icons behind you, including Raven-Symoné. Who from that wall are we manifesting on Adults next?

THIELE: Raven-Symoné smack in the middle! Oh my god, any of them are welcome to come. Whoever wants to come can come. I would love a Sabrina Carpenter cameo; I’d love a Hilary Duff cameo. That would be amazing. Honestly, I think what I’m really manifesting is that we go again and that Raven comes back.

FREYER: She’s established in the world now. She’s a staple.

RAO: If Hilary Duff came, we could all have our own little cartoons with her.

INNANEN: Oh, I would like that.

THIELE: That is cute.

Issa can do some singing with Hilary. Maybe she can be Billie’s cousin, or another one of Paul Baker’s friends who he doesn’t know is that famous.

THIELE: Yeah. Why not? Why not, FX?! Take a crazy chance!

FREYER: Why not do a crazy dance?

You also have a hardcore fan in Taylor Swift, no big deal. Does she have an open invite, too?

RAO: No, no, not her. She has to audition.

THIELE: Yeah, she has to go through the whole process. I want callbacks. And I want chemistry reads. No, obviously Taylor Swift can do whatever she wants! I’m obsessed with her. She’s such a special human being.

ELASSAL: She could play Samir.

RAO: She can play my mom.

THIELE: She can genuinely be Anton. She can play whatever she wants.

Zosia Mamet as Nina Adler

Aside from Raven-Symoné, Season 2 has such a stacked guest star lineup. Who were your favorites to act opposite?

INNANEN: The bros [Liam Cullagh, Will Sennett, and Joey Dardano] were really fun. And that was the first thing we shot. And it was weird, especially playing Paul Baker in full bro. I had to remember who he was for a second. But that was really fun.

RAO: I really had fun improvising opposite Zosia Mamet. She’s such an incredible improviser, and because we pay so much homage to Girls, it just felt really [special].

FREYER: I was going to say Zosia, too. Ben Marshall was fun. He was really funny. He had some great improvs, too.

ELASSAL: Gaten Matarazzo. He was just so awesome to be around. Just a little professional.

Oh my god, amazing. Between Issa and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, I feel like there’s never been a more iconic time to freeze your eggs.

RAO: Thank you. I know, isn’t that just awesome timing?

Do you think that Issa would have been inspired by AOC’s viral journey? And we finally got some quality Samir and Issa scenes. How fun was it for you two to play that incredible physical comedy?

RAO: Well first of all, I think Issa would have known in her heart of hearts that AOC did it because of her. [Laughs] And then playing off Malik, I mean, we just had so much fun.

ELASSAL: It was awesome. It was a lot of you screaming at me and attacking me

RAO: Which was kind of our callback audition, too. I got to insult Malik a lot.

ELASSAL: We got to do a full chase scene, which is great.

RAO: And he had to make me fall and flip me over and stuff. We had so much fun. We love physical shit.

ELASSAL: We were like stressing the stunt people out, because we were like, “No. Don’t even put the pads down. We want to feel it.” We were rallying to get a no-mat fall backwards, and they were like, “No.”

INNANEN: They had a stunt guy, and they didn’t use him, right?

ELASSAL: Yeah, there was one day where there was just a guy walking around in my outfit, and I was like, “Why do I think I know this guy?”

In the finale, Paul Baker campaigns for Homeowners Association President. Jack, I’m curious, was that just practice for another White Boy of the Month campaign? Are you running again? Is there anything you would like to say to the people, the early voters?

INNANEN: Thank you so much for asking. Of course, I think this is an opportune time to say I’m running for White Boy of the Year. Not just the month. I’m trying to go for the whole year. Because we’re close to September, I’m going to go September to September. I’m really excited for the school year, for all the kids out there who want to vote — like university kids. Not children. Cut this. [Laughs] Yeah, White Boy of the Year. Super confident.

RAO: I’m also running for White Boy of the Year. I’m gonna release a couple videos soon. September to September. I’m actually gonna do four years to go for presidency. White Boy Of The Nation.

ELASSAL: I’m gonna throw my hat in the ring also. People are debating if I’m white on Twitter now.

Stay tuned for Part 2 and Part 3 of Decider’s Adults Season 2 interview with the cast.

This interview was edited for length and clarity.

Pat McAfee Leads Big ‘College Gameday’ Revamp This Season

0

Pat McAfee’s presence at ESPN is undeniably expanding, and some insiders suggest he may be behind a significant “College GameDay” adjustment happening behind the curtains.

In a surprising turn, long-time producer Jim Gaiero has been ousted from his post, ending a decade-long tenure. The decision was revealed to the college football show’s team earlier this month, according to reports by Awful Announcing.

ESPN’s Matthew Garrett, who holds the title of vice president of production, is reportedly stepping into the role of executive producer. The show is slated to launch its season on September 5 in Baton Rouge, showcasing an exciting matchup between LSU and Clemson.

Insiders have hinted that tensions with McAfee may have driven this potential change, as reported by the outlet.

Last October, McAfee vocally defended himself against detractors following his recent guest appearance on the celebrated ESPN program.

He has served as a co-host for the program since 2022.

“If you think about old white people and old ESPN people, those are really the people that hate me the most at this stage of life,” McAfee said in a video posted to his Instagram Story at the time. “Now granted, there’s some other groups that certainly have threatened my life on a pretty regular basis, I’d say they hate me too. But throughout the entirety, old whites and the old ESPN people over the last like three years have really hated me. That’s who all the producers are of ‘GameDay’ too. So now … it’s been a fun run. College football is great. OK, cheers. Have a great day.”

While McAfee did not call out anyone specifically, sources told Awful Announcing that his message was directed at Gaiero and Garrett.

“He was absolutely talking about Jim and Matthew Garrett,” a source told the outlet. “That isn’t up for debate.”

Roughly 10 months later, Gaiero is out — although Garrett is seemingly taking on a large role — and the timing of the issue is reportedly also causing some antennas to go up.

ESPN told Awful Announcing that Gaiero can instead focus on duties for Super Bowl 2027, which will be aired on the network for the first time, and he will also be helping with golf coverage with the plan for him to become the lead producer for The Masters and PGA Championship in 2028.

A better work-life schedule was also referenced due to his middle-school-aged daughter.

However, sources questioned the timing of the move, countering that it could have happened not so close to the season.

Sources pointed to ESPN previously firing prominent executive Lee Fitting so soon to the college and NFL seasons despite his role in producing shows for those respective sports.

The outlet also reported that Alabama coach and co-host Nick Saban is not happy with the move, further adding intrigue to the timing and reasoning behind it all.

Gaiero’s ESPN bio lists him as “Producer II” and states he’s been with the company since 1995.

Beyond his role with “College GameDay,” he produces college football and college basketball games and Indy Cars Series races, and helps with NBA draft and PGA Championship coverage.

He is credited with at least seven Sports Emmys.

Garrett’s bio states he “oversees ESPN’s entire portfolio of college football studio shows” plus golf studio and lacrosse studio and event productions, having been promoted into said role in 2025.

Ola Jordan Shares Emotional Journey: “My Heart Feels Heavier Than Ever

Ola Jordan recently opened up about the emotional weight she’s been carrying since parting ways with her husband, James Jordan. The pain, she admits, has been deeper than she ever anticipated.

Once regarded as Strictly’s enduring couple, Ola and James shared a remarkable journey that spanned 26 years. Their romance began in 1999, leading them to exchange vows in 2003. However, earlier this month, the pair revealed their split in a heartfelt joint statement.

While James, now 48, has publicly addressed the breakup on platforms like This Morning and his podcast “Manopause,” Ola, 43, remained quiet—until she finally chose to speak out on Friday.

With a heartfelt post on Instagram, Ola shared, “There have been moments this summer when my heart has felt heavier than I ever imagined it could.”

“Life has changed in ways I never expected, and some days have been incredibly tough,” she continued, revealing the unexpected challenges she’s faced.

Praising the pair’s six-year-old daughter for helping her get through she continued: ‘But through all of the uncertainty, one thing has remained constant, my beautiful girl Ella.

Ola Jordan has said ‘my heart has felt heavier than I ever imagined it could’ as she reflected on an ‘incredibly tough’ summer in an Instagram on Friday after her split from husband James

‘Spending these summer holidays with my baby girl, making memories, having cuddles, laughing until our tummies hurt and simply enjoying every precious moment together has been my greatest comfort.

‘She may not realise it now, but she has been my little ray of sunshine through some of my darkest days.

‘This summer hasn’t been the one I imagined, but I’m choosing to focus on what truly matters – her, our memories, and all the love between us.’

Thanking her family, friends and fans she added: ‘And to everyone who has sent me messages, checked in on me, shown me kindness or simply reminded me that I’m not alone.

‘Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and support have meant more to me than you will ever know.’

Ola and James decided to end their relationship for good after a trial separation ‘some time ago’, with James moving out of their Kent family home and removing his wedding band.

Last week James said he is ‘going through a midlife crisis’ in the wake of his split as he said he has found the ‘last few years really tough’ and is ‘struggling with life at the minute’.

In a trailer for his new podcast Manopause with Brendan Cole, James said: ‘I’m going through a midlife crisis. The last few years, for me, have been really tough. I’m not afraid to admit it. I put my hands up and say I’m struggling with life at the minute.

‘So many different things, with career choices, waking up and not having purpose, things like that.

‘Manopause is for the middle-aged man that’s struggling a little bit and hopefully we’re going to be able to help ourselves and help you at the same time.’

Taking to Instagram with a candid message she wrote: 'Life has changed in ways I never expected, and some days have been incredibly tough' (the couple pictured at their wedding)

Taking to Instagram with a candid message she wrote: ‘Life has changed in ways I never expected, and some days have been incredibly tough’ (the couple pictured at their wedding)

James also appeared on This Morning where he spoke of how he spends his evenings ‘sitting alone in a one-bed flat watching TV’.

‘It’s been a tough few years. I moved out a few months ago,’ James told hosts Angela Scanlon and Craig Doyle.

‘I find it hard to talk about and I’m not going to speak about it too much because I don’t think it’s fair when she’s not here as well.’

Brendan said he has been ‘checking in’ with his close friend every day, which James said has been a lifeline in recent months.

‘Knowing that people are out there you can talk to… otherwise I’m sitting in a one bedroom apartment on my own at night watching TV going “what is going on?”.’

James also referenced reports that he told his wife he needed space and was moving out of their five bedroom family home, explaining: ‘I just feel I need that time to find myself again. People can say “it’s really selfish of you”.’

The professional dancer added that his new venture, the podcast which focuses on men’s mental health, has been a great tool to help him talk and hopefully inspire others.

‘Women can watch and listen and hear what struggles men are going through and they might relate to that with their husband or their other half,’ he explained.

In the shared statement released last weekend, James explained how his ‘mental health hasn’t been in a good place for quite some time’.

The joint statement began: ‘After 26 years together, this is something we never imagined we would be sharing. Following recent reports in the press about our relationship and after receiving messages asking if everything is okay, we feel it’s important to speak directly rather than let speculation or hearsay tell our story.

‘We have always tried to be open and honest with the people who have supported us over the years and we feel it’s only right that this update comes from us.’

‘At the moment we’re taking some time apart as we work through very difficult personal challenges. (James) moved out of the family home some time ago. This has been an incredibly painful and emotional journey for us both and it certainly wasn’t an easy decision.’

They went on to say their ‘absolute priority’ is their six-year-old daughter Ella.

They said: ‘Our absolute priority, now and always, is our beautiful daughter Ella. She’s at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to co-parenting her with all the love, care and stability she deserves.

‘Speaking personally (James) my mental health hasn’t been in a good place for quite some time. I’ve been struggling more than I’ve let people see and I’m taking the time I need to focus on getting myself into a healthier place, both for myself and for Ella.

‘Neither of us is in a good place right now. We’re both doing our best to navigate one of the hardest chapters of our lives and we ask that people remember there are real people and real emotions behind every headline, every comment and every post.

‘We don’t know exactly what the future holds. For now, we’re taking things one day at a time, doing what we both believe is best for ourselves, our family and most importantly….. Ella.

‘We’re incredibly grateful for the love, kindness and concern so many of you have shown us over the years.’

Massive Blaze Engulfs Area Near Wembley Stadium Following Explosion, Sends Smoke Towering Over London

0

A massive blaze erupted today at a waste and recycling facility near Wembley Stadium, following what is believed to have been an explosion. Towering plumes of smoke filled the sky, visible for miles around.

In response, approximately 125 firefighters equipped with 20 fire engines swiftly converged on the Neasden area in north-west London. This came after the emergency services were inundated with over 70 calls to 999, starting just after 11:30 a.m.

Given the significant smoke generated from the 161,400 square foot site, fire officials advised locals to stay indoors with windows and doors shut to safeguard against the hazardous air quality.

Transport for London announced that the fire had forced a suspension of the Metropolitan line, while service on the Jubilee line was halted between Willesden Green and Wembley Park, compounding commuter challenges.

Chiltern Railways also reported that the incident affected all routes heading towards Aylesbury, leading to delays for those traveling between London Marylebone and Harrow-on-the-Hill. Further complications arose from an earlier fire alarm at Marylebone station, adding to the delays.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) crews from Wembley, Park Royal, Willesden and other nearby stations were sent to the scene, but the cause of the fire is not yet known.

The blaze appeared to have broken out at the LondonEnergy Waste Transfer Station on Hannah Close, located next to an Amazon warehouse and near the Wembley Ikea.

The nearby Amazon warehouse, which was not related to the industrial unit involved in the fire next door, was understood to have been evacuated as a precaution.

Three of the brigade’s 100ft ladders were mobilised to the scene, along with drones, a hose laying unit and a high volume pump to increase the amount of water available.

The LFB described the fire as having broken out at a ‘mixed waste facility’, adding that an ‘industrial unit approximately 100m (300ft) by 150m (500ft) is currently alight’.

Mark, a builder who was in a crane in Cricklewood as he witnessed the blaze, told LBC radio: ‘I saw it start about an hour ago. Black smoke was just unbelievable.

‘Now they’ve got it under control because the smoke has gone a lot less and it’s gone white. So you know that the firefighters have got it under control.

‘They’ve done really well. If you see the pictures of the black smoke, you think, wow, that’s going to burn forever, but they’ve got it under control now.’

One frightened witness tweeted: ‘Massive fire near Neasden / Wembley. The smoke is scary and due to the wind, it’s getting worse. WTF has happened?!

Another said: ‘Warehouse in Wembley has just erupted into a very, very massive fire. I’ve seen at least seven fire trucks speeding down and three police cars.’

LondonEnergy is a company owned by the North London Waste Authority (NLWA) which is responsible for disposing all waste for eight boroughs in the capital.

London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan said on X: ‘London Fire Brigade is responding to a large fire on an industrial estate in Neasden. I’m receiving regular updates.

‘If you live in the area, please follow LFB’s safety advice. My thanks go to our brave firefighters who are tackling the blaze to protect lives and businesses.’

NLWA said: ‘We are currently responding to a fire at our Wembley transfer station and are working closely with the emergency services and relevant authorities.

‘We can confirm that all LondonEnergy employees are safe and there have been no injuries. Our immediate priority is to support the emergency response.’

A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said an incident response officer had been sent to the scene but no patients were being treated.

The next event scheduled at Wembley Stadium is an All Elite Wrestling special this Sunday, followed by Bon Jovi concerts on September 4, 6 and 9.

The incident comes after 15 fire engines and 100 firefighters tackled a fire involving 50 tonnes of household waste stored at a recycling facility in Deptford on August 18.

Barron Trump’s Life Post-Threats: Finding Peace and Security

0

Barron Trump, the former president’s youngest son, appears to have secluded himself in a world of heightened security at the age of 20. This move seems driven by the escalating political tumult engulfing his father, Donald Trump.

According to a longstanding confidant of the Trump family speaking to The Post, “He doesn’t go out.” Barron, having recently wrapped up his second year at New York University, has largely spent the summer in seclusion with his mother at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“The kid’s pretty reclusive,” another insider noted, reinforcing the image of Barron’s private life.

The former president himself has been the target of at least three assassination attempts over the past three years. These include an attack that left him wounded in Butler, Pennsylvania, an encounter with a stalker at his West Palm Beach golf course, and a shooting incident during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this past April.

Compounding the threats, Barron has become a point of interest for Iranian hardliners, who recently released a provocative video titled “Where to kill Barron Trump.” The chilling footage allegedly monitored his activities and placed a staggering $10 million bounty on the young Trump’s life.

Barron was also reportedly shaken by the September 2025 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, a friend.

‘This is what happens when you go out there. This is what happened,’ Barron told Trump while breaking the news of Kirk’s death.

The exchange, first reported by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan in their book ‘Regime Change’, ended with Trump telling his son, ‘Calm down honey, calm down.’

'He doesn't go out,' one longtime Trumpworld figure said of Barron, who finished his sophomore year at New York University and has spent much of the summer with his mother at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster

Barron’s first known meeting with Kirk came years ago over lunch after he personally asked his father to arrange an introduction to the conservative activist.

The first lady’s office responded to reports of her son’s reclusiveness by saying that ‘in light of recent threats,’ the East Wing asks that ‘any details concerning his private life be excluded from all coverage.’

Barron’s last public appearance occurred in July, where he attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final match between Spain and Argentina in New Jersey.

He studies finance at NYU’s Stern School of Business, a few miles uptown from the family’s Trump Tower residence.

During the 2024 campaign, Barron was credited with steering his father toward the podcast circuit and the manosphere hosts who reached young male voters, including Joe Rogan and Theo Von.

His business ventures have drawn attention alongside his family’s crypto interests, though the extent of his actual involvement has been reported inconsistently.

In January 2025, at 19, Barron was on a video call with a London woman he’d met on social media when he watched her ex-boyfriend attack her.

He called British police from the US, telling authorities she was ‘getting really badly beat up.’

The boyfriend responsible for beating the woman, Matvei Rumiantsev, 22, got sentenced to four years in March.

The British judge called Barron’s actions lifesaving and the female victim told jurors it ‘helped save my life.’

On Friday, Norway mourned the loss of its beloved monarch, King Harald, who passed away at the age of 89, as confirmed by the Royal House of Norway.

“With profound sorrow, we must share the heartbreaking news that His Majesty King Harald has left us,” expressed the royal palace in an official statement that conveyed the deep sadness enveloping the nation.

“His Majesty died peacefully at Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet on Friday, August 28th, at 6:35 AM,” the poignant announcement further detailed, offering a glimpse into the final moments of the revered king’s life.

Harald, esteemed as Europe’s oldest reigning monarch, had been admitted to the hospital on August 17th due to a blood infection, a health battle that captured the nation’s concern in his final days.

He had previously received a pacemaker after falling ill during a vacation in Malaysia in 2024.

Harald announced he would be drawing down his number of public appearances that same year.

The monarch had served as Norway’s head of state since 1991. He was Norway‘s first royal heir to be born in the country in more than 500 years. In 1905, after Norway gained its independence from Sweden, Harald’s grandfather, King Haakon VII, became the first king of an independent Norwegian state since 1387.

Harald was viewed as a reformer and advocated for his fellow European royals to continue a trend towards openness with the public.

“If you’ve opened the gate it’s very difficult to close it again,” he told Reuters. “I’m not sure I’d want to close it. So far so good, as far as I’m concerned.”

When the Nazis invaded Norway in 1940, Harald’s mother fled with him, first to neutral Sweden, then to the United States, where they briefly lived in the White House after then-President Franklin Delano Roosevelt offered the pair safe haven.

Harald, his mother and his sisters soon moved to Bethesda, Maryland and would often meet with Roosevelt, who Harald said was like a grandfather to him.

Harald’s son, Crown Prince Haakon, 53, will succeed him and take the name King Haakon VIII.

Haakon and his wife, who will become Queen Mette-Marit, have been embroiled in scandal since it was revealed she exchanged emails with and had multiple meetings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Mette-Marit said she regrets her ties to the deceased billionaire and claimed she had no knowledge of his sordid past while communicating with him.

Additionally, Mette-Marit’s son, Marius Borg Høiby, who she had from a previous marriage, was convicted of several charges of rape and domestic violence in June. He was sentenced to four years in prison, and both he and prosecutors are appealing the sentence.

A mother who endured the harrowing ordeal of a shark attack in Australia vividly recounted the chilling moment she was forced to decide “which limb am I willing to lose” while facing the menacing predator.

Leah Stewart, 34, experienced the terrifying encounter just 100 feet from the shoreline at Sydney’s famous Coogee Beach on June 13. The attacker was believed to be a great white shark.

Stewart shared the wrenching experience of realizing she had to make a swift and painful choice to save her life during the horrifying incident.

During an interview with Australia’s 60 Minutes, set to air this Sunday, Stewart recounted the moment the shark was a mere 30 centimeters from her face. “It sort of started opening its mouth,” she described, reliving the tension of her fight for survival.

“I’m like, I’ve got to try and punch it. I’ve got to try and push it away or else it’s going to bite my head off.

“And in that moment I thought, well, which limb am I willing to lose? I’m right-handed. So I decided, let’s do a left hook.”

Stewart, who has a young daughter named August, had to have her left arm amputated.

In a surprising turn of events, the couple recently revealed their decision to part ways after a long-standing marriage of 27 years. They are now faced with the ‘tricky’ task of splitting a substantial $290 million empire that they cultivated together.

With an impressive array of properties and various assets to their name, the 54-year-old Wolverine star and his 67-year-old spouse aim to divide their holdings in an equitable manner, according to a report by US Weekly on Tuesday.

In 2010, Men’s Health estimated Hugh’s net worth was around $257million, much of which stems from his work with the blockbuster Marvel Comic franchise.

The pair began their mammoth estate in the late ’90s and have since acquired a collection of luxury homes in Australia and the U.S.

Before his breakout role in X-Men in the year 2000, Hugh and Deborra-Lee lived in a modest two-bedroom apartment in Melbourne.

The couple bought their first property together for $240,000 in 1997, a year after they married.
