Comprehensive Guide: Understanding the Allegations Against the Australian Racing Driver in the Michael Schumacher Nurse Case

Joey Mawson, an Australian race car driver once celebrated as a rising star in motorsport, now confronts the possibility of imprisonment. He is accused of sexually assaulting a nurse at Michael Schumacher’s Swiss estate during a nocturnal gathering.

The trial for the 30-year-old Sydney native is taking place in Nyon, Switzerland, concerning charges of twice assaulting Schumacher’s nurse at the family’s opulent $20 million residence in Gland on November 23, 2019.

Mawson staunchly refutes these claims, maintaining that the encounter was consensual.

The indictment outlines that the nurse became exceedingly intoxicated, rendering her unable to stand, and she collapsed to the floor. Staff members then transported her, still fully dressed, to her room.

Prosecutors assert that the assault subsequently occurred in that location.

It is alleged that when the nurse woke up she was naked and could not remember what had happened.

Mawson once spoke about his dreams of following in Schumacher’s footsteps into Formula 1 and described the German great as his ‘hero’.

Mawson grew up idolising Schumacher and Ayrton Senna, often talking about how he wanted to model his career on their success, and he forged a close friendship with Schumacher’s son Mick as the two climbed through the junior ranks together.

Back in 2016, after edging out Mick to win the fiercely contested ADAC Formula 4 Championship, Mawson wrote on Instagram: ‘Thank you [Mick] for the rivalry we shared this year, I hope we can meet again in Formula 3 so then like you said, the battle will continue.’

Mick replied in kind with the message: ‘Hopefully it will,’ showing the deep respect the two had developed despite fierce on-track clashes that year.

The 2016 title was the high point of Mawson’s European career, as he won 10 races against a field stacked with future Formula 1 stars including Lando Norris and Guanyu Zhou, instantly marking himself as a prospect to watch.

But as the years went on, his dream of joining the Formula 1 grid began to fade, and setbacks began to mount just as his rivals accelerated towards the top level.

In 2017 he joined the European Formula 3 Championship, but despite flashes of pace he only scored a single podium finish and ended the season down in 13th place overall, while Norris dominated the title fight.

The following year he switched to GP3, racing with Arden International, a team linked to Red Bull boss Christian Horner, describing the season beforehand as ‘critical’ to being noticed by F1 decision makers.

Yet his results fell short of expectations, with just two podiums, no wins, and another 13th place championship finish, effectively ending his path through the traditional F1 feeder system.

By 2019 he had shifted across to sports cars, racing in Porsche Supercup and Carrera Cup Germany, though he never found sustained success in those series either.

It was around this time that he attended the party at the Schumacher residence where the nurse alleges she was attacked.

Mawson eventually returned to Australia, where he was determined to salvage his career by entering the new S5000 open-wheel category, which featured powerful single-seaters on domestic tracks.

In 2021 he won the Australian Drivers’ Championship Gold Star, a prestigious title that has also been won by legends of Australian racing, and he successfully defended the crown in 2022, becoming a two-time champion.

Those achievements put him back on the radar of Supercars teams in Australia, with discussions held about giving him an opportunity to transition into touring cars, a move that has helped other open-wheel drivers extend their careers.

But just as a fresh start looked possible, his momentum collapsed again in 2023 when he tested positive for meldonium during a routine doping control at Phillip Island.

He was provisionally suspended by Motorsport Australia pending investigation, before being handed a three-year competition ban in September 2024 after both his A and B samples were confirmed positive.

The ban was backdated to May 2023, stripping him of results and barring him from all sanctioned events until May 13, 2026, cutting short his rise at home just as he was regaining attention.

Mawson explained the circumstances by saying he had taken the substance unknowingly, having consumed a supplement recommended by his then girlfriend without realising it contained a prohibited ingredient.

He issued a public statement saying: ‘I never intended to take the supplement to enhance my racing.

‘The risk [and] consequences for a driver to take this to have minimal benefit to the overall performance makes absolutely no sense.

‘It was an honest mistake and now I will have to pay the consequences of that mistake, losing three years of my career along with the damage to my reputation.’

He also vowed to come back stronger in 2026, saying he ‘misses it every day’ and would use the time to prepare for a return to the sport.

Christina Trevanion of BBC’s Bargain Hunt Receives Overwhelming Support Following Heartfelt Announcement

With her 52,800 followers, Christina revealed that a recent heavy downpour had taken a toll on her beloved peonies.

She captioned the photo: “Post-storm garden inspection. The peonies, which have brought me so much joy this spring, are now sadly petal-less after the heavy rain… but almost everything else is relatively unscathed.”

@david_austin_roses Sceptred Isle, Generous Gardener and Gertrude Jekyll, who were in tight bud 48 hours ago, now in full bloom!”

MEMORISE: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. – Revelation 3:15 (KJV)

READ: Matthew 13:7, 22 (KJV)

Matthew 13:7
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

Matthew 13:22
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Job 35-38

Open Heaven 4 June 2026 MESSAGE

The third kind of soil Jesus described in His parable about the Sower, is Thorny ground. He compared this soil type to people who hear God’s word but are distracted by many things that prevent the word from bearing fruit in their lives. This type of people appears to love God’s word, but clearly not enough to change their ways or let go of some worldly pleasures. A male chorister in a church choir who serves God fervently but still fornicates is an example of someone with a thorny heart. Such people received the word of God at a point, but they did not allow it to change them.

Some Christians argue by asking questions like, “Where is it written in the Bible that drinking alcohol is a sin?” Some others even say that listening to worldly music is not a sin as long as they do not do what the lyrics of the songs say, or that gambling is not bad so long as the Bible doesn’t say so. Whenever I hear such statements, I know that they are coming from thorny hearts. They want to serve God, but they are unwilling to let go of worldly pleasures. If you find yourself trying to find loopholes through which you can serve God and still do some of the things unbelievers usually do, beware, that is a major symptom of a thorny heart.

Being God’s child is not about following rules and regulations; it is about being like Christ. When the Holy Spirit is truly dwelling in you, you will flee things that can hinder your relationship with God or cause unbelievers to blaspheme His name, whether they are clearly referred to as sins in the Bible or not. For instance, if a Christian man puts his hand around the waist of a woman who is not his wife, it can be argued that he didn’t break his vows to his wife, but it is clearly inappropriate. Also, such an action can make unbelievers speak against the faith.

Beloved, many people have lost their relationships with Christ because they do not want to change completely for Him. They want to do whatever they like and still hold on to Jesus. If you are living this way, you need to have a change of heart today because there will be no fruits to show from your walk with God. I pray that you will live a fruitful life as a Christian, in Jesus’ name.

Are you fully surrendered to God, or are you looking for loopholes in His word so you can behave like the world?

Open Heaven 4 June 2026 HYMN 7 – I Am Thine O Lord

1 l am Thine, O Lord
I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer bless Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3 Oh the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee,
my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4 There are depths of love
that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy
that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Inside the Luxurious $10.5M Home of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.

After more than ten years, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are preparing to part ways with their exquisite Los Angeles residence.

The iconic 49-year-old star of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and the 50-year-old actor known for “She’s All That” have put their luxurious Brentwood neighborhood property on the market for a cool $10.5 million.

The listing is in the capable hands of Cindy Ambuehl from Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, who has been acquainted with the celebrity duo for over 25 years.

In a conversation with the Daily Mail, Ambuehl highlighted what makes this five-bedroom, six-bathroom family haven so desirable.

“Nestled in the exclusive Mandeville Canyon area, this incredibly private estate is surrounded by sycamores, oak trees, and charming tree-lined avenues,” the realtor explained. “The home exudes a welcoming warmth with its spacious, elegant rooms, ideal for family life and hosting guests.”

Those oversize rooms are spread out across 7,300 square feet in the three-story home.

Ambuehl emphasized that even though Gellar and Prinze’s home ‘feels peaceful and tucked away,’ the Brentwood location is a gateway to communities including Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, and it’s also conveniently located near several ‘top schools, restaurants, shops and all the conveniences of the Westside.’

The couple, who have already moved into a home in Encino after acquiring it off-market early last year for $12.4 million – per Robb Report – moved into their Brentwood home in 2013.

Prior to listing it, Gellar and Prinze had rented out the property for $60,000 per month, but their realtor clarified that their home was ‘never intended as a long-term rental.’

Instead, the couple was helping out a family who had lost their home in the devastating LA fires of January 2025.

Ambuehl said Gellar and Prinze had ‘special memories’ of their Brentwood home, as it’s where they raised their daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13.

The realtor went on to praise the stars as an ‘exceptional couple and truly remarkable parents.’

‘Their children are incredibly respectful, thoughtful, and grounded — a reflection of the values Sarah and Freddie instilled in them. They’re down-to-earth, kind, and always put family first, which is very refreshing,’ she said.

Prior to their last move, the couple had been living in Bel Air.

Ambuehl confirmed that she had helped Gellar and Prinze with their 2025 home purchase, and she clarified that they aren’t planning to join a recent horde of celebrities who have been abandoning California for cheaper states.

She sounded optimistic about the Brentwood home, describing it as a ‘highly sought-after style and floor plan in prime Brentwood.’

‘We believe it’s very well priced for the market,’ Ambuehl added.

As for the home’s biggest draw, she singled out its ‘use of space and overall floor plan.

Revealed: The ’60 Minutes’ Shake-Up Under Bari Weiss – Who’s Out?

Scott Pelley, a veteran journalist with 60 Minutes, recently parted ways with the iconic news program following a clash with its new leadership. Bari Weiss, the newly appointed editor-in-chief at CBS News, has instigated several changes that have shaken up the beloved show. Pelley is not the only casualty of these changes; several producers have also been dismissed.

Scott Pelley recently lost his job at ‘60 Minutes’

Pelley’s departure marks the end of his longstanding tenure with 60 Minutes. His exit reportedly stemmed from tensions with executive producer Nick Bilton regarding the direction the program was taking under new leadership. In his statement after the firing, Pelley voiced his disapproval of the show’s evolving ethos.

“60 Minutes has been America’s top program for decades because our cherished audience values the integrity, quality, and humanity in our stories,” Pelley stated in a message shared with MS Now. “Our duty, when we took charge, was to boldly embrace the new age of media technology while upholding the values our audience holds dear. Now, the new network owner seems to be discarding this legacy, perhaps to gain favor with the Trump administration.”

Pelley also alleged that the new management encouraged the inclusion of falsehoods in his reporting and granted politicians too much influence over interviews. He was outspoken about his discontent with the dismissals of others in the team.

“Last month, 60 Minutes lost its essence when our entire senior leadership and two of our finest on-air correspondents were heartlessly fired without just cause,” Pelley commented. “Dedicated individuals were silenced for defending our audience. They championed fairness against political bias and upheld professionalism amidst chaos.”

“Last month, 60 Minutes lost its DNA when our entire senior leadership and two of our best on-air correspondents were cruelly fired without cause,” he said. “Good people were silenced because they stood up for our audience. They stood for fairness against the forces of political bias; they stood for professionalism against chaos.”

Pelley concluded his statement by expressing hope that “sanity, competence, and courage return” to the program.

Sharyn Alfonsi lost her job after a fight over a ‘60 Minutes’ segment

Before Pelley lost his job, correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi was fired. Alfonsi reported on El Salvador’s CECOT prison, and Weiss pulled the story just hours before its airtime. It eventually aired on Jan. 18 after it mistakenly streamed on the Global TV app.

“Over the weekend, my contract with CBS News expired, drawing to a close nearly twenty years with the network, including more than a decade at ’60 Minutes,’” Alfonsi said in a statement to The Los Angeles Times. “Following an intense editorial dispute over our CECOT story, repeated attempts by my representation to establish a path forward were met with absolute silence from network executives. The message could not be clearer: my time at 60 Minutes is apparently over.”

Cecilia Vega said she worries about the future of the program

Cecilia Vega was also fired, alongside a number of other staffers. Vega said her contract with 60 Minutes ran through next March. In a statement obtained by Deadline, Vega said she has “the utmost respect and admiration for my colleagues at 60 Minutes and the stories that air every Sunday. But I very much fear what comes next for and the future of the legendary broadcast.”

She echoed Pelley’s claims that he was asked to include political biases in his reporting.

“In recent months, my producing teams and I have experienced efforts to insert political bias into our stories,” he said. “Reporting teams have held back on submitting story pitches about important news topics out of fear of the internal repercussions. Let’s call this what it is: censorship, both imposed and self-driven. It is dangerous for the show and dangerous for democracy.”

Both Vega and Alfonsi have backed Pelley after his firing.

Details of Betty Broderick’s Death Unveiled Following Her Passing in Prison

Betty Broderick’s cause of death has been officially disclosed.

The notorious individual, who was serving a prison sentence for the 1989 murders of her ex-husband, Dan Broderick, and his new wife, Linda Kolkena, passed away at the age of 78 in May.

According to records from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reviewed by multiple sources, Betty’s death has been classified as an accident.

Betty’s declining health became apparent in April when she suffered a fall that resulted in broken ribs. Her son, Rhett Broderick, shared this information with The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed to Oxygen that Betty was transferred to an external medical facility on April 18 for treatment.

Betty died at 3:40 a.m. on May 8. The medical doctor treating her determined her death to be the result of natural causes, officials said.

Betty and ex Dan, who shared four children, endured a tumultuous divorce across the 1980s.

On the morning of Nov. 5, 1989, Betty—whose story was once featured on Oxygen’s Snapped—used a key she stole from one of her daughters to enter Dan and Linda’s home. As the couple slept, Betty snuck into their bedroom and fired a .38 caliber revolver, killing Linda instantly and fatally wounding Dan, according to Los Angeles Magazine.

Although Betty’s first trial ended in a hung jury, she was convicted of second-degree murder in the second trial in 1991 and sentenced to 32 years to life in prison, NBC News reported.

Betty’s children, despite their complicated relationship through the decades, were by her side in her final moments.

“She passed away from natural causes with three of her children at her bedside, and the other was FaceTiming,” her youngest son Rhett revealed to The San Diego Union-Tribune. “We were all able to come and be with her.”

She reflected on the relationship she had with her family in the 2015 memoir Betty Broderick: Telling on Myself.

“I absolutely adore my children, from the first moment of the day to the last, and still do,” she wrote. “They were my priority and I wanted so badly for them to have a happy childhood.”

Urgent Alert: Flesh-Eating New World Screwworm Resurfaces in Texas – What You Need to Know

Authorities in Texas have identified a distressing case involving a flesh-eating worm, shortly after the parasitic fly responsible was observed near the US-Mexico border the previous week.

The US Department of Agriculture announced that a 3-week-old calf in Zala County, Texas, has been infected with the New World screwworm. This was confirmed after larvae were discovered in the calf’s umbilical region, according to an official statement from the department.

In a related development, a similar screwworm case was reported 25 miles south of the Texas border in Mexico’s Coahuila State, as per Reuters. The larvae, notorious for burrowing into the flesh of living animals, pose a severe threat to livestock.

In response, the USDA and Texas authorities are swiftly working to contain the outbreak. They have established a 20-kilometer infected zone around the area, where they will enforce quarantines and monitoring protocols to control the spread.

Additional measures to prevent further spread include enhanced trapping efforts for New World screwworm flies along the border and focused community outreach to inform locals, the USDA stated.

The screwworm’s maggots can infest livestock and other warm-blooded animals, including pets, and in rare cases will infest people. The pests typically enter an animal through an open wound and feed on its living flesh, eventually killing the host if left untreated.

The USDA announced on social media earlier on Wednesday that it was investigating the possible infestation in South Texas and has submitted a sample to the agency’s National Veterinary Services Laboratories in Iowa for confirmation.

“All jokes aside this is a serious matter and a time to unite and work together,” Texas Representative Don McLaughlin wrote on X before the confirmation of the case.

“If this case is confirmed I will stand lock step with every local, state and federal agency to work together and fight this horror.”

An outbreak of screwworm could cause a whopping $1.8 billion in damages to Texas’ economy alone and would likely inflate beef prices across the nation by shrinking the cattle supply, experts have said.

The US has closed its border with Mexico to cattle imports for more than a year to try to halt the parasite from reaching the states.

The screwworms do not infest meat, fruits, vegetables, or other food sources — only livestock.

Residents near the reported case should check their pets for signs of the New World screwworm. Though they rarely infest humans, people should seek immediate medical attention if they notice a suspicious lesion, officials urged.

“All models showed New World Screwworm entering the country in 2025; however, thanks to the hard work across the entire Trump administration and our industry, state, and local partners, we were able to buy time for this moment,” Dudley Hoskins, Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs, said in a statement.

“Protecting our livestock industry is a national security issue of the utmost importance, and USDA is wasting no time in taking action,” Hoskins added.

“USDA invested heavily in the tools needed to eliminate NWS ever since cases started increasing in Central America and Mexico. The United States has defeated this pest before, and we will do it again.”

US Military Executes Successful Strike, Eliminating Two Narco-Terrorists in Eastern Pacific Drug Trafficking Crackdown

0

The United States military executed a deadly operation on Wednesday targeting a boat implicated in drug smuggling activities across the Eastern Pacific. According to the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), the strike resulted in the deaths of two individuals identified as “narco-terrorists.”

“On June 3, under the orders of Gen. Francis L. Donovan, commander of #SOUTHCOM, Joint Task Force Southern Spear launched a lethal kinetic assault on a vessel operated by organizations classified as terrorists,” SOUTHCOM announced in a social media update.

Intelligence reports confirmed that the targeted vessel was traveling through well-known drug trafficking channels in the Eastern Pacific and was actively involved in such operations.

The military confirmed that the strike neutralized two suspected narco-terrorists, though SOUTHCOM did not comment on the possibility of any survivors.

Footage released by U.S. Southern Command captures the moments leading up to the strike on the suspected drug-trafficking vessel during the operation in the Eastern Pacific.

No U.S. military personnel were injured, the command added.

SOUTHCOM also released a brief video showing a vessel speeding through the water before erupting in flames.

The latest strike brings the number of people killed in U.S. military operations targeting suspected drug-trafficking vessels to at least 207 since the Trump administration launched a broad campaign aimed at dismantling cartel-linked trafficking networks in September, according to The Associated Press.

Wednesday’s strike followed a series of similar operations in recent weeks.

On Saturday, the U.S. military struck a vessel in the Eastern Pacific, killing three suspected narco-terrorists, according to SOUTHCOM.

A separate strike Friday killed three men, while another operation last Wednesday killed two, the military said.

SOUTHCOM also carried out a strike last Tuesday that reportedly killed one person and left two survivors.

Earlier in May, the command said an operation in the Eastern Pacific killed two alleged narco-terrorists and left one survivor.

The military has released brief videos and statements describing the vessels as tied to designated terrorist organizations, but it has generally not publicly released evidence identifying those killed or proving the vessels were carrying drugs. The campaign has drawn scrutiny from lawmakers, legal experts and human rights groups who question the legal basis for using lethal military force against suspected traffickers outside a traditional battlefield.

The Eastern Pacific and Caribbean remain major corridors for narcotics trafficking, with cartels frequently using small, fast-moving vessels to transport drugs toward the United States and Central America.

SOUTHCOM oversees U.S. military operations in Central and South America and the Caribbean, including counter-narcotics missions aimed at disrupting trafficking networks tied to transnational criminal organizations.

The video released Wednesday was in black and white, similar to most footage previously shared by SOUTHCOM.

Last week, however, the military posted what appeared to be its first color video showing a strike against a suspected drug-trafficking vessel.
