Consumers Praise New Functional Mushroom Beverage for Its Delightful Taste

0

Imagine the taste of a strawberry and matcha plant coming together at a farmers market—that’s the unique flavor profile of MUDWTR’s limited-edition Strawberry Matcha drink. This innovative twist on a popular summer beverage is designed with health-conscious consumers in mind. Offered in a 10-serving bag for $40, it’s available only while supplies last.

This new concoction boasts an impressive dose of over 1,800 milligrams of functional mushrooms. The mix includes lion’s mane for enhanced mental clarity, cordyceps for a natural energy boost, and reishi to support the immune system.

Each serving contains less than a gram of sugar, utilizing real organic strawberry powder in place of overly sweet artificial syrups. This commitment to natural ingredients ensures a refreshingly genuine taste experience.

According to reviewers, the difference is evident. Even those who typically shy away from earthier flavors find this blend to be unexpectedly smooth and enjoyable.

And, reviewers say they can taste the difference, and even those who are usually sensitive to earthier flavors say this blend goes down surprisingly smooth.

“I don’t usually like matcha, but my partner swears by MUD’s regular matcha, so I decided to try out this one,” one reviewer explained.

“The strawberry takes away all the bitterness that I don’t like about matcha and is sweet enough that I don’t have to add sweetener, but not so sweet that it tastes like dessert,” they exclaimed.

All of the mushrooms are USDA-certified organic and grown in California, closer to home than many mushroom products, which are imported from overseas.

MUDWTR says they are “selected for their unique capacity to support mental and physical functions” — and no, they’re not that kind of mushrooms. According to the brand, you won’t experience any psychoactive effects.

Unlike some heavily caffeinated drinks, MUDWTR’s Strawberry Matcha blend contains just 40 milligrams of caffeine — a gentler boost for those trying to avoid the crash. It’s an excellent option for anyone looking for a lighter, healthier coffee alternative.

Duck Dynasty Star Opens Up About Discovering Wife’s Affair and the Surprising Step That Saved Their Marriage

0

A star from Duck Dynasty is shedding light on a surprising marital crisis and the unexpected decision that ultimately saved his relationship.

Al Robertson, the oldest son of the late Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson and Miss Kay Robertson, shares the upheaval he and his wife Lisa experienced in the new Lifetime documentary, Faith & Forgiveness.

The documentary explores the moment Al learned of Lisa’s involvement with an ex-boyfriend, 15 years into their marriage, and how their shared faith played a crucial role in their reconciliation.

“When infidelity occurs in a marriage, it often signals the end for many, but it doesn’t have to be that way,” Robertson told Fox News. “There’s always a path to work things out.”

He continued, “I was determined to fight for my marriage because I had made numerous mistakes of my own.”

The couple’s story began long before any drama: they first met in a McDonald’s parking lot in West Monroe, Louisiana. Al was 17, while Lisa was 15.

hey had an on-and-off romance before ultimately marrying in 1984.

‘When I first met Lisa, she was a good girl, looking for her “knight in shining armor”,’ Al admitted. ‘I just wasn’t that guy in the early years.’

After welcoming two daughters, Al became a pastor at a church the family had long been part of, leaving Lisa feeling ‘lonely and isolated’ while he was away.

‘She was dealing with all this internal stuff from when she was young. I didn’t recognise it,’ he said.

Lisa revealed to Fox News that she had been haunted by a traumatic childhood.

‘From an early age, at age 7, I was subjected to someone molesting me… I started on that trail of dishonesty at that point, and that darkness really began there,’ she recalled.

Years later, an old boyfriend reached out to Lisa, and she soon became caught up in an affair.

By the summer of 1999, Al grew suspicious.

Lisa repeatedly denied anything was happening, but cellphone records eventually revealed the truth, leading the couple to agree on a temporary separation.

‘I had prayed all through this affair that God would open a door for me to walk away and that nobody would ever find out,’ Lisa admitted. ‘I didn’t think [our marriage] would make it… If he ever found out, I just knew it was over.’

Al confessed he wasn’t sure their marriage could survive either. ‘For the first few weeks, I was leaning toward thinking it was probably over… I wasn’t sure Lisa really wanted to be in our marriage,’ he said.

Lisa described a moment of clarity in her backyard, crying out to God and confessing everything.

‘Once I turned my life over to the Lord, He came and met me right there… From that day forward, I knew I could make it,’ she said.

She embraced her faith fully, joined a supportive circle of women, and began counseling alongside Al.

‘I changed so many things… the way I dressed, the way I approached men, even how I talked,’ Lisa explained.

Meanwhile, Al reflected on his own early infidelity and wondered if he could match the forgiveness Lisa had shown him

‘What changed my mind about Lisa was her… She had finally come to a reckoning in her own life,’ he said.

‘I think out of my own appreciation for not only what God had done for me, but also what Lisa had done for me, it gave me that capacity to forgive infidelity,’ Robertson continued.

‘Her growth in those early weeks is what won me over… That’s when it all changed. We knew we were going to find our way back together.’

In December 1999, the couple renewed their vows, putting the past firmly behind them.

Heidi Montag Embraces Casual Look in Montecito as Local Mayoral Race Heats Up

0

Heidi Montag took a pause from supporting her husband Spencer Pratt’s run for mayor to enjoy a meal with a friend on Friday.

The possible future First Lady of Los Angeles, 39, was seen having breakfast at Jeannine’s Restaurant & Bakery, located in the upscale celebrity haven of Montecito.

After her meal with a companion, Montag packed her leftovers and returned to her vehicle.

The “I’ll Do It” singer stepped out without makeup, opting for a casual look in a long-sleeved shirt and grey sweatpants.

While Pratt focuses on his mayoral ambitions, Montag has been preparing for her upcoming performance at the Neon Skies Festival in Canada.

She will perform alongside fellow pop divas Kesha and Slayyyter on July 18 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Montag is also working on her next album, Masterpiece, which is due out in August.

‘Ultimately, I decided I’m doing this for myself and if it doesn’t catch the way I’m hoping, then you know I can always go back to just being a Mom, but I really wanted to give my music one more try,’ she recently told XO Divad.

It comes after Pratt shut down allegations that his bid for Los Angeles mayor is being filmed for a reality TV show.

The former MTV star, 42, is currently running against rivals Mayor Karen Bass, Councilwoman Nithya Raman, and progressive Christian minister Rae Huang.

TMZ and Deadline claimed that The Hills alum had signed up for an unscripted series to document his campaign for mayor.

Pratt announced he was running for the position in January, one year after his Pacific Palisades home burned down in the deadly Los Angeles wildfires.

However, a spokesperson for Pratt shut down the allegations in a statement to The Wrap on Thursday.

‘This is inaccurate. There is no series in production and cameras have not been following the campaign.’

The spokesperson further stated that Pratt has not signed any contract to film a reality show that follows his run for L.A. mayor.

‘He does not have any signed contract. No contract exists related to this because it isn’t true.’

Pratt also responded to a report that he has been living in a Bel-Air hotel amid his campaign after previously claiming he had been residing inside a trailer after his home burned down last year.

TMZ reported on Wednesday that the star was staying at Hotel Bel-Air while his wife and children are living in the town of Carpinteria.

Pratt offered his response on X by penning, ‘Hey guys, why don’t they wanna talk about why I need a hotel in the first place?

‘Karen Bass let my home burn down. Also 6,000 of my neighbors. NBD.’

Pratt has been surging in the polls since his debate against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Councilwoman Nithya Raman

The former reality star also told TMZ that he has been living at the hotel for safety reasons after receiving death threats amid his bid for mayor.

The trailer was not able to keep him safe and he explained the hotel has ‘its own armed security and that has become the only option.’

He referred to the supporters of his rivals as ‘Bassholes and Ramaniacs’ before sharing he has gotten death threats from ‘whackos.’

‘Since I destroyed them in the debate, and am surging in the polls, they are getting increasingly desperate and hostile. I can’t talk about specific threats, but that lot is unsafe now.’

Earlier this month, Pratt took part in a debate alongside Bass and Raman which resulted in his chances of winning surging afterwards.

And he has also received support from his close friends and other celebrities, including reality star Kristin Cavallari, music producer David Foster, comedian Heather McDonald, and Paris Hilton.

North Alabama Crackdown: Two Arrested in USPS Money Order Fraud Scheme Unveiled

0

Two individuals find themselves in custody following an investigation into a fraud scheme involving counterfeit USPS money orders in Madison County, Alabama. The local sheriff’s department unraveled the fraudulent activity after receiving a complaint from Redstone Federal Credit Union on April 23.

The complaint centered around a member, identified as Tylasia Scott, who had reportedly turned in seven USPS money orders across several branches throughout Madison County. The transactions led to Scott unlawfully obtaining nearly $7,000. Subsequent verification revealed these money orders were fraudulent.

As the investigation unfolded, Tylasia Scott was apprehended and now faces seven charges of possessing a forged instrument in the second degree. The situation captured the attention of a USPIS Special Agent from Birmingham, who joined forces with local investigators to delve deeper into the case, with an eye on identifying any additional conspirators involved in the scheme.

Following the investigation, Tylasia Scott was arrested and charged with seven counts of Possession of a forged instrument, second degree.

Due to the rapidly developing nature of the case and the potential for additional suspects, a USPIS Special Agent based in Birmingham coordinated with investigators and assisted in the ongoing investigation.

MCSO said that their agency was granted a search warrant to search a residence located in the 100 block of Baxter Avenue in Huntsville. While searching the home, detectives located additional fraudulent USPS money orders, identity documents, credit and debit cards, narcotics, firearms, and USPS property.

According to MCSO, a man identified as Kenneth Belt was at the home during the time of the search warrant. He was arrested and charged with eight counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument, Second Degree.

Both were transported and booked into the Madison County Jail.

“Financial crimes like these not only target businesses and financial institutions, but they also undermine trust within our communities. I’m proud of the work our Criminal Investigation Division has done alongside the United States Postal Inspection Service to quickly identify those responsible and remove additional illegal activity from our streets. This investigation is far from over, and we fully expect additional arrests and charges as detectives continue following the evidence.”

Unraveling the Intrigue: Kelly Reilly & Annette Bening Dive into the Enigmatic Relationship at ‘Dutton Ranch

After embodying the role of Beth Dutton for five successful seasons on Yellowstone, Kelly Reilly was eager to continue the journey of her iconic character in the new series, Dutton Ranch. The show follows Beth, along with her husband Rip Wheeler, portrayed by Cole Hauser, and their adopted son Carter, as they embark on a fresh start on a new ranch in Rio Paloma, Texas. This move comes after they lose their home in Montana to a devastating wildfire. Reilly expressed her dedication to maintaining the essence of Beth, emphasizing her commitment to “safeguarding the qualities that define her.” As she guided her character through these new life experiences, Reilly aimed to remain open-minded about Beth’s evolving identity.

Serving as an executive producer alongside Hauser, Reilly emphasized the importance of giving everyone a voice in shaping this new narrative landscape filled with intriguing characters. Among these newcomers is the formidable Beulah Jackson, portrayed by the exceptional Annette Bening. Beulah leads the Jackson family, neighbors to Beth on the adjacent 10 Petal ranch. Beth, known for her sharp wit, describes Beulah as a “Grizzly in Gucci” after their encounters.

“Having Annette and Ed [Harris, who plays the large animal veterinarian Everett McKinney] join us brought a sense of legitimacy,” Reilly recalled, acknowledging that their presence elevated the series. “It was an honor for Cole and me to have such talent on board. It made me even more invested in the stories we were telling.”

Stewardship is a core theme in the expansive Taylor Sheridan Universe, and both Reilly and Hauser hold it in high regard. Bening, new to this environment, appreciated their dedication to sharing Beth and Rip’s world. “Kelly and Cole being executive producers meant a lot to me,” Bening noted. “Having actors with a comprehensive understanding of the story and its narrative depth contributed significantly to Yellowstone‘s success.”

Bening found a strong working synergy with Reilly. As two powerful female figures, Beth and Beulah are savvy businesswomen who fiercely protect what they value, wary yet intrigued by each other. “Between these two women, there’s an abundance of admiration, suspicion, attraction, and jealousy,” Bening remarked, capturing the dynamic complexity of their relationship.

While Beluah is working to maintain her empire, Beth is struggling to build a place where her family can thrive. “What Beluah sees in Beth is something, a drive, that she wishes that she still had,” said Bening. While Beluah feels “competitive” with Beth, she feels “admiration” as well.

Reilly agreed with Bening, on the mutual “admiration and respect” between their characters, noting that these feelings only “grow” throughout the series. “Beth and Beluah begin to need each other more and need what the other one has from a business standpoint too,” teased Bening. “”We get to see them work together, and that’s when we really start to power up,” confirmed Reilly.

The first two episode of Dutton Ranch are now streaming on Paramount+

Police Opt for Compassion: Officers Choose Non-Violent Approach Over Tasing Elderly Woman

0

An inquest has revealed that a 95-year-old woman with dementia, who posed a potential risk of self-harm with a knife, might have been better managed by allowing her to calm down rather than resorting to the use of a Taser.

The incident involved then-senior constable Kristian James Samuel White, who deployed his Taser at the elderly woman after being called to Yallambee Lodge nursing home in Cooma, New South Wales, in the early hours of May 17, 2023.

Clare Nowland, suffering from dementia, had taken two steak knives from a kitchen area and resisted efforts to surrender them.

LIVE UPDATES: Chinese vessels permitted to transit the Strait of Hormuz

After being struck in the chest by the Taser’s barbs, Nowland fell, hitting her head. She never regained consciousness and passed away in the hospital a week later due to a brain bleed.

Geriatrician Susan Kurrle told an inquest into Nowland's death that attending police and paramedics could have just left her alone to calm down.

"That in this case would have been the least of all evils," the professor said.

Nowland had not shown any prior thoughts of self-harm, and aged care staff could have kept the door ajar a little to supervise, she added.

Professor Joseph Ibrahim said he would have grabbed a chair and sat in the doorway, distracting her with topics about how early in the morning it was.

He shrugged off any concerns after counsel assisting Sophie Callan SC said the 95-year-old could have thrown the knife at him.

"The likelihood that she would have been able to aim it, hit a vital spot is extraordinarily remote," he said.

Prof Kurrle told the inquest that dementia was "childhood development backwards".

This required anyone approaching a person with dementia to do so as they would a young child – gentle, smiling, without being threatening.

At the three-day inquest, which began on Wednesday, State Coroner Teresa O'Sullivan has examined systemic issues that existed before the Tasering incident.

The focus of the evidence has been dementia care and training for aged care staff, police and ambulance officers.

Judge O'Sullivan has heard of numerous alternatives available to White and other police and paramedics attending, including contacting Nowland's daughter, Lesley Lloyd, for help de-escalating the situation.

Prof Kurrle said the care offered by Yallambee Lodge staff to Nowland before her death was reasonable and appropriate.

Clare Nowland, 95, was tasered at the Yallambee Lodge nursing home at Cooma in southern NSW on May 17, 2023.

The facility had been deemed compliant with aged care standards after a review by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in early 2023, she said.

Nowland's family are expected to give a statement about the 95-year-old's passing as the inquest concludes later on Friday.

The great-grandmother's relatives have previously expressed disappointment that White did not spend a day in jail after being convicted of manslaughter by a NSW Supreme Court jury in November 2024.

He was given a two-year good behaviour bond in March 2025, a decision which was later upheld by the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal.

David Hasselhoff’s Recent Wheelchair Appearance Raises Concerns About Health at 73

0

David Hasselhoff, famed for his role in Baywatch, has stirred concerns over his health after being spotted in a wheelchair recently, following ongoing health challenges.

The 73-year-old actor, who gained global fame as the dashing Mitch Buchannon, appeared notably frail and almost unrecognizable while leaving a physical therapy session in Los Angeles.

Sporting silver hair, the star was also seen with a bandage on his ankle, a few weeks after undergoing knee and hip replacement surgeries.

His devoted wife, Hayley Roberts, 45, was by his side, attentively assisting him as he was escorted to a waiting vehicle.

Hasselhoff leaned on Roberts for support as he carefully got into the car.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for David Hasselhoff for comment.

Even with a Baywatch reboot in the works, Hasselhoff has kept a very low profile, having been seen publicly just twice since last July, sparking concern among fans.

Last month he was seen struggling to stand in exclusive Daily Mail photos, days after being spotted leaning on trekking poles on a walk

The  Daily Mail learned that the actor’s health is improving after he underwent replacement surgery on his knee and hip.

A representative for Hasselhoff revealed he had undergone the procedures after he was seen using a wheelchair to get around Los Angeles airport.

They added that he was now doing well and was focused on his recovery.

Hasselhoff had told photographers in July that he was planning to have surgery on his knee when he was seen limping through Los Angeles airport on a trip to Cancun. He was later seen being pushed in a wheelchair by an airline worker.

At the time, a source told the Daily Mail that the actor was ‘living on borrowed time’ after years of hard living.

Hasselhoff had struggled with alcohol abuse in the past, exemplified by the leak of a 2007 video apparently shot by his daughter Taylor Ann, in which he was clearly intoxicated.

She quizzed him about his drinking in the tense video and worried that it might harm his role in a Las Vegas production of The Producers that he had been appearing in at the time.

After the clip was released, Hasselhoff claimed that it had been done so intentionally by his daughter to reveal his behavior when he was drunk.

Hasselhoff’s nature walk came just over a year after the tragic death of his second wife and former Baywatch costar, Pamela Bach at the age of 62.

She was found dead at her home in March 2025 after taking her own life.

Bach was married to Hasselhoff from 1989 until their 2006 divorce and they were parents to daughters Taylor Hasselhoff-Fiore, 35, and 33-year-old Hayley Hasselhoff.

A spokesman for Hasselhoff exclusively told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff.

‘We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.’

Although they starred together on Baywatch, Hasselhoff and Pamela met earlier, on the set of his science fiction series Knight Rider in 1986.

He was married to his costar Catherine Hickland at the time, before they divorced in 1989.

Hasselhoff and Bach reconnected that year when she was cast on Baywatch and they later married in 1989.

After his divorce, the actor began dating his wife Hayley – who is from Wales – in 2011 and they got married in Puglia, Italy, in 2018.

Potential Death Penalty Looms as Alex Murdaugh Faces Retrial, AG Considers All Legal Options

On Friday, Attorney General Wilson indicated that if Murdaugh is convicted again in a new trial, prosecutors might consider pursuing the death penalty. This follows the Supreme Court’s recent decision to nullify Murdaugh’s previous murder convictions.

“With the Supreme Court’s ruling, we’re essentially restarting this case, which means all legal avenues are open to us, including the possibility of the death penalty,” Wilson explained in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Unveiling the 2026 Federal Budget: Discover the Surprising Measures You Might Have Overlooked

0

In brief

  • From strawberry levies to wine glass tariffs, the budget contains some unusual policy details.
  • Solar panel recycling, PNG NRL tax breaks and nuisance tariffs feature in the federal budget.

Each year, the unveiling of the federal budget comes with its fair share of sobering truths and meticulously crafted economic forecasts. It is a document brimming with predictions of potential downturns and pages of figures that outline the government’s planned policies.

However, nestled within this financial tome are intriguing tidbits that shed light on the government’s unique priorities—ranging from specific agricultural products receiving special attention to unexpected, quirky decisions.

The budget released on May 12 is no different, offering a mix of these noteworthy changes. Below, we delve into some of the elements that might have slipped under the radar of mainstream media coverage.

Wine glasses with too much tax

For instance, did you know that the budget has targeted several tariffs deemed so bothersome that they warranted urgent elimination? These are tariffs on everyday items like wine glasses, tires, air conditioners, margarine, and bitumen.

In an effort to streamline processes, the Department of Home Affairs has prioritized the removal of a total of 497 such nuisance tariffs, with the changes set to take effect starting July 1, 2026.

Apparently, this is going to help streamline around $23 billion worth of trade and save businesses $157 million in compliance costs each year, according to the department.

The humble strawberry gets a special mention

First we need to explain what a strawberry runner is…

They’re the leafless stalks that strawberry plants create with a little plant at its end that produces new plants — basically a propagation tool for commercial growers.

A levy on strawberry runners is imposed on commercial producers — and, stay with us — is paid to the Department of Agriculture at a rate of $8.00 per 1,000 runners rounded up to the next 1,000 for each sale or purchase.

Now that we’ve cleared that up, the government wants to clarify a few things. From 1 July, the government will set up a biosecurity part of the levy to be 19 cents per 1,000 strawberry runners. But this new levy will be offset by a cut to the research and development part of the levy — so the overall cost of the levy won’t change. Sweet as.

PNG’s NRL team gets a tax-free perk

Papua New Guinea’s new National Rugby League team has got a tax sweetener in the budget.

Players and staff of the PNG Chiefs, which will enter the competition in 2028, will get income tax exemptions — which will hit the budget by $5.4 million over four years.

It’s part of a broader diplomatic push between the two governments.

Solar panels need recycling

As the growth in Australia’s rooftop solar drive continues, there have been sounds of alarm over photovoltaic waste.

According to researchers at the University of New South Wales, it’s predicted to reach 100,000 tonnes annually by 2030.

In a bid to address this, the government is giving some money in the budget to help recycle solar panels, about $24.7 million for a national pilot for a scheme to set up 100 pilot collection sites across the country.

It’s hoped the minerals will be reused to support the energy transition.

E-bike regulations

With the market saturated with e-bikes and amid its huge consumer uptake in recent years — including among children — safety concerns have risen with a number of deaths and serious cases of injury from e-bike accidents in recent months.

The budget has confirmed $6.6 million in funding to strengthen national safety standards, including by improving product recalls and advancing online marketplace reforms.

It’s also part of a broader move to introduce standards for e‑bikes and nationally consistent requirements for all e‑micromobility devices.
