Jana Hocking Reveals Secret Strategies Behind Risqué Video and Photo Trends

0

Just when I think I’ve seen it all in terms of infidelity, technology surprises me with innovative ways to expose cheaters.

Recently, a friend called me in tears after spending the weekend with her sisters. Her husband had overlooked the Ring camera at their front door, which notifies them whenever someone arrives. And arrive they did.

At 2 a.m., following what was evidently a night of heavy drinking, her husband and his friend staggered up to the front door. The camera caught their discussion about who they should contact, leading to the appearance of two escorts about 20 minutes later.

The women departed roughly two hours later, but not before the local drug dealer had stopped by to deliver some party supplies.

The Ring camera documented every scandalous moment. While the footage provided excellent evidence for her divorce lawyer, it did little to mend her broken heart.

I still remember prominent New York divorce lawyer James Sexton telling me that Apple practically bought his holiday house because it’s so spectacularly good at catching cheating partners.

As Sexton bluntly shared: ‘Dad might be up in the bathroom sending explicit pics to his mistress, and his son might be in the loungeroom playing on his iPad and says, “Hey Mommy, why are these pictures popping up?” And thanks to a joint iCloud account, suddenly Mom’s looking at the pictures of her husband’s penis that he’s sent to someone else.’ Charming.

Yet an explicit photo appearing on the family iPad is merely the beginning of the technological minefield awaiting the modern cheater.

Every time I think I have a handle on all the sneaky ways people cheat, technology invents a whole new way to catch them in the act

Sure, it has never been easier to start an affair. A slide into someone’s DMs, a disappearing message, a stealthy rendezvous. Cheaters might be convinced they have covered their tracks, but now they have to outsmart the smartphone.

When I put a call out to my friends and followers to share their own stories of catching a partner cheating via technology, it made for some wild reading.

One dear follower caught her husband via… the car speakers!

She was sitting beside him driving to dinner when his phone automatically connected to CarPlay. A message appeared across the dashboard from someone saved as ‘Mark from work,’ only for Siri to read it aloud in a distinctly female voice.

‘I can still smell you on my sheets.’

Turns out ‘Mark’ was ‘Marissa,’ a woman he had met on Tinder, discovered thanks to a court order on his phone. Double ouch.

Then there are the cheaters who forget about Uber. A woman who responded to my callout said her husband insisted he had spent Thursday evening at the pub with his mates. She opened their shared Uber account the following morning and discovered that he had been collected from his ex-girlfriend’s address at 6.43am.

When she looked a little further, she found the same address saved under recent Uber Eats deliveries – because who doesn’t crave a Big Mac after a… workout.

The television can be just as treacherous. A friend told me her family sat down to watch a movie when their Apple TV began cycling through photographs from a shared cloud account. There were the children at Christmas, their dog at the beach and, suddenly, her husband standing shirtless in a hotel bathroom beside a woman nobody in the room had ever seen before.

Why, for the love of God, do cheaters take photos? I’ll never understand it.

My friend is now divorced.

Smartwatches are another surprisingly effective little snitch. One follower said her partner came home from a work dinner and told her he had gone straight to bed at his hotel. Unfortunately for him, his health app had synced with their home computer and recorded thousands of steps after midnight, along with a rather enthusiastic burst of exercise at 1.17am.

He attempted to explain it away as a ‘late-night gym session.’ One quick phone call to the hotel and she confirmed that the gym closed at 10pm.

Fitness apps can be just as revealing. One woman became suspicious after her husband started going on unusually enthusiastic Saturday-morning runs. She opened his public Strava profile and noticed that every route ended up outside the same house in a suburb on the other side of town.

The house belonged to a female colleague.

Another follower discovered her husband’s affair because of one missing AirPod. He told her he had left it at the office, but when she opened the Find My app, the little white dot was sitting at an address she didn’t recognize.

After some digging, she discovered the house belonged to a woman he worked with. He tried to brush it off as ‘strategy meetings.’

I also discovered that while the modern cheater may remember to delete a hotel confirmation from their inbox, they might forget about digital calendar syncing.

One woman told me her husband booked a hotel room using the email address attached to their family account. The reservation automatically appeared on their shared calendar: ‘Harbor Suite – two guests – champagne package.’

He initially tried to claim it was for a work function. The ‘champagne package’ made that explanation rather difficult to sustain.

Loyalty programs are another spectacularly careless area. A follower received a cheerful notification congratulating her on the points earned during a recent two-night hotel stay. This was news to her because her husband had supposedly spent that weekend camping somewhere without phone reception.

She logged into the account and found the hotel booking and room-service charges. He had used their joint rewards membership because, apparently, saving a few dollars was worth attaching his full name and home address to the evidence.

Then there was the woman whose supermarket rewards account exposed an affair through a late-night purchase of condoms and cat food.

Cheaters might be convinced they have covered their tracks, but now they have to outsmart the smartphone

Fitness apps can be just as revealing. One woman became suspicious after her husband started going on unusually enthusiastic Saturday-morning runs

She and her husband didn’t own a cat. His mistress, she soon discovered, owned two.

Doorbell cameras don’t only capture the people entering your own house either. Word to the wise, your neighbors have them, too.

One follower said her partner dropped another woman home just before dawn, believing the dark apartment hallway gave them some privacy. Unfortunately, the neighbor across the corridor had installed a camera that caught him helping the woman find her keys before giving her a lengthy goodbye kiss.

The neighbor, a distant friend on Facebook, recognized him and sent the footage to his girlfriend.

Even complete strangers are now part of the surveillance network.

A woman told me her husband claimed he was away at a work conference when she spotted him in the background of a TikTok filmed at a restaurant in their own city. A group at the next table was recording a funny interaction that went viral, and over one woman’s shoulder, her husband could clearly be seen dining with someone who definitely wasn’t her.

He hadn’t been tagged, and nobody filming the video knew who he was. He simply had the spectacular bad luck to conduct his affair in a world where everybody now records everything.

That bad luck extends to social-media algorithms, too. One follower said the same woman kept appearing in her ‘People You May Know’ suggestions. She finally clicked on the profile and discovered that the stranger had recently uploaded photos from a weekend of shenanigans. One photo showed her boyfriend’s distinctive forearm tattoo.

When confronted, he admitted they had been seeing each other for months.

Then there is the overlooked trail left by digital receipts, like my friend who discovered a $38 parking charge outside a well-known brothel on an afternoon. Her partner claimed to be at work, which, for the record, is nowhere near the brothel. He tried to argue that the parking app had recorded the wrong location, apparently unaware that it also listed the exact time he entered and left.

This is what makes modern infidelity so dangerous for the incredibly stupid people attempting it. Once upon a time, a cheater only had to keep their story straight and make sure they didn’t come home with lipstick or perfume on their shirt. Oh, those were the days!

Now they have to get ahead of every device, shared account, iCloud connection and algorithm quietly recording their movements – and pray none of them sends their partner a helpful notification.

For today’s cheater, deleting a text from your phone is now about as useful as shutting the bedroom door while the rest of your house livestreams the evidence.

So, unless you’re a tech genius, I’d suggest you focus on the relationship you’ve committed to instead of playing away.

And on a personal note: Husbands, stay out of my damn DMs.

Over 50 Cremated Remains Discovered at South Chicago Funeral Home with 56 Decomposing Bodies

0

In a startling development, authorities revealed to ABC7 that over 50 sets of cremated remains were uncovered alongside 56 decaying bodies at a funeral home in Chicago this week.

Early Friday morning, the discovery of numerous improperly stored bodies prompted their removal from the funeral home located on the city’s Southeast Side, following the grim find on Thursday evening.

Efforts to identify all the remains found at the South Chicago Chapel on 95th Street are underway, with the Cook County Medical Examiner leading the process, which could extend over several days.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

Officials noted the nearly 60 bodies were stored at unsafe temperatures, exceeding 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Local residents had reported a persistent foul smell over the past few months.

The involved teams are diligently working to match the deceased to their identities and cross-reference records, such as death certificates, to promptly notify the affected families.

On Saturday, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to ABC7 that they are assisting Chicago police by storing more than 50 containers of cremated remains as they work to identify them. The cremated remains that were found are in addition to the 56 decomposing bodies that were found Thursday.

Families who used South Chicago Chapel in South Deering are demanding answers after authorities reported the discovery of 56 bodies that were allegedly stored improperly at the funeral home.

The families showed up to the funeral home Friday looking for answers. ABC7 has heard stories of frustration and heartbreak from those families. Many say they were left waiting for weeks or months, only to receive remains that they’re no longer sure are those of their loved ones.

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, which licenses funeral directors, said it has suspended the license of funeral director Johanna Morgan. The agency also revoked the license of her husband, Clark Morgan, in 2024.

Last year, the state comptroller shut down a Chicago Heights crematory owned by Clark Morgan after more than 100 bodies were improperly stored there.

The state said Johanna Morgan’s license was just suspended on Wednesday, and that’s not the first time. Records show she has faced a history of disciplinary action.

The latest came over conditions inside South Chicago Chapel. Records said Johanna allowed, “multiple decedents to be kept in an unrefrigerated area with deplorable conditions including rodent infestation, causing decomposition and maggot infestation of the bodies.”

After learning about all this, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation said it’s working with investigators to ensure all appropriate regulatory and public safety steps are taken.

“They should have criminal charges pressed against them for how they mishandle these bodies,” Illinois State Comptroller Susana Mendoza said. “These people should be in jail. That’s where they should be.”

Illinois State Police said Friday their crime scene services investigators have been helping the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identify the 56 bodies found in the building.

ABC7 has reached out to the funeral home and is still waiting for a response.

Also on Saturday, the Illinois state comptroller’s office said that it is investigating Bohemian National Cemetery and Crematorium in the 5200 block of North Pulaski Road in Chicago.

Bohemian was ordered not to accept any more remains, and they complied, officials said.

ABC7 is working to confirm whether or not the investigation at Bohemian National Cemetery and Crematorium is connected to the ongoing investigation at South Chicago Chapel.

DCLM Daily Manna 9 August 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Absolute Trust in God

TOPIC – Absolute Trust in God (DCLM Daily Manna 9 August 2026)

KEY VERSE: And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it – Isaiah 28:18

TEXT: Isaiah 28:18-27 (KJV)

18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

21 For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?

25 When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?

26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.

27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

Prophet Isaiah was a balanced prophet. He was not the type of prophet with a sugarcoated tongue who only prophesied peace without condemning the iniquities of the people. This prophet was so bold as to let the Jewish people know that whatever they trusted for justification or protection, or for happiness or healing and deliverance, except for the righteousness of God and the influence and power of the Holy Ghost, would ultimately prove abortive and vain.

According to the text, the Jews believed in their works of righteousness, which God told them would not suffice. The text describes the bed as too short, and the covering too narrow. This tells us that trusting and resting on our own will and self management will result in regret and gross disappointment. Religion is not enough; true righteousness from Christ must be carefully sought and wisely husbanded.

Prophet Isaiah compares God’s work among the nations to those of a farmer on his soil. The husbandman (farmer) does his work with pains and prudence and handles the plants according to their nature. The Almighty God who gives men this great wisdom is wonderful in counsel and excellent in His working.

Afflictions are God’s threshing instruments to loosen us from the world, to part between us and our chaff, and to prepare us for use. As the occasion requires, the Lord warns, corrects, spares, shows mercy or executes vengeance. How we need to heed God’s warning today and not to trust in anything outside Christ. It takes trust and diligence to please God. It takes confidence and faith in His promises to appropriate His blessings, with a firm and unflagging resolve to abide in His will.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Life without Christ is full of crises.

Pentagon Urges Defense Industry to Elevate Weapons Production Amid Stockpile Concerns

The Pentagon is urgently calling on America’s defense sector to hasten their weapons production, as the nation seeks to replenish its dwindling armaments, strained further by the ongoing conflict with Iran.

In a statement on Saturday, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell emphasized that the department is intensifying its efforts to procure munitions swiftly, ensuring that “the weapons our warfighters need” are obtained at a pace that matches the escalating threats. This acceleration aligns with a comprehensive modernization initiative that began well before the five-month-old conflict erupted, he added.

In a decisive move, Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg contacted leading figures within the defense industry on Wednesday. He demanded they provide action plans within 21 days to significantly enhance delivery speeds and ramp up production for essential capabilities, as per a memo seen by The Washington Post.

Feinberg’s memo was clear in its urgency: “Years-long development cycles are not acceptable.” He underscored the necessity to “dramatically accelerate our program schedules and expand our production capacity now.”

The urgency of this directive is underscored by recent hostilities with Iran, which have further depleted the U.S. military’s already reduced supplies of advanced missile interceptors. This depletion could potentially increase risks to American forces if the conflict reignites, a new analysis warns.

Shrunken inventories of Patriot and THAAD interceptors may force the U.S. and its Middle Eastern allies to take more risks to conserve those air defenses, according to the analysis from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington think tank. For example, it said, American forces may launch fewer missiles against incoming Iranian drones and missiles, raising the chance of one getting through.

President Donald Trump in recent days has bristled over public reports of a munitions shortage, posting on Truth Social on Thursday that the U.S. has “massive amounts.” He added that “large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed.”

On Saturday, Parnell affirmed that Feinberg’s memo seeking a rapid escalation of weapons production is “real,” adding that it “will inform the fiscal year 2028 budget submitted to Congress for funding, and it is entirely consistent with our ongoing push to rebuild the defense industrial base.”

A defense spending bill is currently stalled in Congress, with lawmakers fuming over Trump’s military action against Iran and resisting the White House request to substantially increase Pentagon spending to $1.5 trillion, up from about $900 billion last year.

The number of Patriot interceptors fell from 2,330 before the war to 1,030 when the April ceasefire took effect, CSIS estimated last month. Following recent fighting, the stockpile is now estimated to be between 759 and 827, a decrease of at least 65% since before the conflict began.

The number of THAAD interceptors fell from 452 before the war to between 232 and 262 at the start of the April ceasefire, CSIS said. The U.S. was able to replenish some of the inventory to between 234 and 278 interceptors. But the stockpile is still at least 38% smaller than it was before the conflict.

Effective Standing Exercises to Boost Full-Body Strength for Seniors Over 65

0

As the years pass, maintaining a robust and steady physique becomes crucial for staying agile, active, and independent. Preserving mobility ensures that you can enjoy everyday freedoms regardless of age.

>

To keep your muscles strong and maintain easy movement, regular exercise is key. This helps to uphold an active and autonomous lifestyle, allowing you to tackle daily routines effortlessly. The exciting news? You don’t need a suite of gym equipment to see real transformation. Starting with bodyweight exercises is all you need to begin building strength.

“Standing exercises offer a unique way to build full-body strength, distinct from sitting or machine workouts due to the increased core engagement they demand,” says

Joe LaCerra, who owns and trains clients at W.O.L.F Gyms. “These exercises enhance the body’s resilience and spatial awareness. Although seated and machine workouts have their benefits, incorporating standing exercises is vital. They refine how the body moves, which is especially critical as aging brings a higher risk of falls. Developing stability in a standing position greatly reduces this risk.”

Exercises that require standing engage you to combat resistance, simultaneously balancing and stabilizing your posture. Even if an activity targets primarily the limbs, your core, hips, and minor supportive muscles contribute in significant ways.

“This is one reason carefully chosen standing exercises give you so much bang for your buck. They teach different parts of the body to work together during the same movements we use every day- squatting, stepping, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying,” says Hazel Anderson, PT, DPT, ScD, DipACLM, Associate Professor, Doctor of Physical Therapy Program; Diplomate, American College of Lifestyle Medicine; University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. “That strength can make climbing stairs, carrying groceries, completing household tasks, and recovering from a stumble feel more manageable.”

To get you on the right track, we learned five standing exercises to add to your exercise routine that can help restore full-body strength faster than gym memberships after 65.

Goblet Squats

“This movement strengthens your quads and glutes while forcing your body to maintain a strong core and neutral spine by holding the weight directly in front of you,” LaCerra tells us.

  1. Stand tall, feet slightly wider than shoulder-width.
  2. Grasp a dumbbell with both hands, and hold the weight in front of your chest with your elbows pointing down and tucked in.
  3. Hinge at the hips and bend your knees to squat, keeping the weight in place.
  4. Squat as far as you can with a straight back.
  5. Push through your heels to return to the starting position.

4 Simple Bodyweight Moves That Reverse Aging Faster Than Running After 50

Romanian Deadlifts

Romanian deadlifts strengthen your glutes, hamstrings, and spinal erectors.

“Too often, people avoid bending out of fear of injuring their spine. A properly executed Romanian deadlift will actually make your spine more resilient over time,” LaCerra tells us.

  1. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart.
  2. Hold a dumbbell in each hand.
  3. Bend your knees slightly and hold the weights in front of your thighs.
  4. Press your hips back as you lower the dumbbells down your leg. Maintain a straight back as you do so.
  5. Squeeze your glutes to return to the start position.

4 Quick Standing Exercises That Slow Aging Faster Than Gym After 40

Standing Dumbbell Shoulder Press

“This exercise brings the upper body into the equation, strengthening the shoulders and triceps primarily. By performing this movement standing, you are engaging your core and working on your overhead strength,” LaCerra points out.

  1. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart.
  2. Hold a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder level, palms facing forward.
  3. Press the weights overhead, extending your arms.
  4. Use control as you lower the weights back to shoulder height.

5 Easy Bodyweight Tests That Show Your Real Fitness After 45

Squat to Chair

“The squat to chair is one of my favorite lower-body exercises because it practices the same movement used to stand from a chair, get out of a car, or get on and off the toilet,” Anderson says.

  1. Begin by standing tall in front of a sturdy chair with your feet hip-width apart on the ground.
  2. Activate your core and keep your chest lifted.
  3. Bend at the knees and hips and lower slowly into a squat—as if you’re about to sit down. Make sure your weight stays in your heels.
  4. Lightly touch the surface of the chair with your glutes.
  5. Press through your heels to rise back up.
  6. Perform 8 to 12 controlled reps.

If You Can Do These 3 Balance Tests at 60, Your Body Age Is 20 Years Younger

Rhapsody Of Realities 9 August 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): You Don’t Have Two Natures

TOPIC: You Don’t Have Two Natures (Rhapsody of Realities 9 August 2026)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

One of the most important truths about the New Birth is this: you don’t have two natures. You’re not partly human and partly divine. The Bible is clear: old things are passed away, and all things have become new. That includes the old nature. The Bible says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (James 1:18).

You’re vitally born of God. The life you received from Him wasn’t added to your human life; it replaced it. That’s why the Lord Jesus said, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6). Your origin has changed. The New Birth translated you from death to life. Hallelujah!

The Apostle Paul expresses this reality powerfully: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…” (Galatians 2:20). The “I” that was sustained by the old life has been brought to an end. What you have now is the life of Christ in you. The idea that a Christian has two natures suggests a constant inner conflict between opposing natures within the same person. But that’s not the picture the Scriptures present.

The Word says, “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him…” (Romans 6:6). Notice it doesn’t say, “Our old man is being crucified”; the only thing ongoing is the renewing of your mind: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2).

Your spirit is already recreated in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). You’re now a partaker of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Stop trying to suppress an old nature that doesn’t exist. Galatians 5:24 says, “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Therefore, don’t struggle to be righteous; live righteously because that’s who you are.

Live in the consciousness of this truth and your life will consistently reflect the dominion and excellence of Christ.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for recreating me in Christ. I don’t have two natures; I have your divine nature in me. I live in the reality of who I am, expressing righteousness, dominion and excellence every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Romans 6:5-6 (KJV)
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Ephesians 4:22-24 (NIV)
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; [23] to be made new in the attitude of your minds; [24] and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

2 Peter 1:4 (KJV)
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Tragic Accident: Man Fatally Shoots Friend in Misfire

0

Inset: Saam Rajaei (Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office). Background: The Palm Beach County Main Detention Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. (Google Maps).

A man from Florida has been sentenced to more than ten years in prison for the fatal shooting of his teenage friend, an act he claims was accidental due to his belief that the revolver was not loaded.

In a verdict reached in May, a jury in Palm Beach County convicted 28-year-old Saam Rajaei of manslaughter for the death of 16-year-old James Cartigiano. At the time of the tragedy, both were students at Olympic Heights High School, with Rajaei being 17 and Cartigiano 16.

Last Friday, Judge Sherri Collins of the 15th Circuit Court sentenced Rajaei to 124 1/2 months in prison, holding him accountable for the fatal incident.

The tragic event took place in January 2016 at a home on Sawpine Drive in Delray Beach, a community located about 10 miles north of Boca Raton.

On the day in question, a group of teenagers were “dry firing” a revolver, according to a report by Tequesta-based ABC affiliate WPBF.

But it turned out the weapon was loaded. At 11:10 p.m. that night, the defendant himself made a 911 call.

“I didn’t mean for this to happen,” Rajaei told the dispatcher.

In the background, another friend is heard asking what happened. To which the defendant audibly replied, “He tried to get the gun…I put my finger on the trigger accidentally and shot him.”

In the call audio, Rajaei asks yet another teenager why the gun was out on the counter if it was loaded.

The defendant later told deputies that Cartigiano picked up the gun and was “waving it around,” according to court documents obtained by West Palm Beach-based CBS affiliate WPEC.

So, Rajaei said he tried to take the gun from his friend. The defendant first said they both struggled with the gun before a single shot was fired. The two other friends were not present when the gun went off.

When deputies and paramedics arrived at the scene, Cartigiano was found on the kitchen floor unresponsive with a single gunshot wound to the head. The victim was rushed to Delray Medical Center and taken into surgery. But to little avail – he died five days later.

In a later interview, the defendant said there was no struggle, but insisted he only picked up the gun and fired by accident.

“I put my finger on the trigger accidentally and shot him,” Rajaei told one of the other teenagers there that night.

The post ‘I didn’t mean for this to happen’: Man shot and killed high school friend while he thought he was ‘dry firing’ revolver first appeared on Law & Crime.

Unbelievable Tom Cruise Doppelgänger Has Fans Questioning AI

Fans of the San Francisco Giants were left in bewilderment when a Tom Cruise doppelgänger stepped up to deliver the ceremonial first pitch at Thursday’s game. His uncanny resemblance to the Hollywood star turned heads and stirred surprise among the audience.

Decked out in the emblematic flight suit of Cruise’s unforgettable “Top Gun” character, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, the look-alike made his spectacular debut. The appearance was a tribute to the original film, celebrating its 40th anniversary, yet social media buzzed with observers pondering if he was the real deal.

“Is that really Tom Cruise?” an intrigued Instagram user wondered aloud. Another chimed in with admiration, saying, “He nails the look, laugh, and smile of Tom Cruise.”

A third viewer added their voice to the chorus of astonishment, remarking, “What? That was the spitting image of Tom Cruise!”

“Dude looks more like Tom Cruise than Tom Cruise does… I literally thought this was AI lol,” noted another social media user, highlighting the doppelgänger’s incredible likeness.

Some were simply confused. “Is that an impersonator or is this AI? I can’t tell any more,” one person admitted.

The professional impersonator’s name is actually Jerome LeBlanc, and he goes by the moniker “California Tom Cruise.”

In an interview with Cockpit USA, LeBlanc once admitted he’d stumbled upon the opportunity to simply look like the “Risky Business” actor — specifically as “Maverick” — as a career.

“When I moved from Montreal to Los Angeles, many people started telling me I looked like Tom Cruise,” he divulged.

“So, I put on the flight suit uniform from ‘Top Gun,’ and tried street performing. To my surprise, I did so unbelievably well — I made more than I did while bartending,” he added.

LeBlanc also admitted that he’s “not necessarily mistaken for Tom Cruise,” given a roughly 30-year age gap with the 64-year-old actor.

“But I do notice a lot of double takes and a lot of strangers approaching me to share that they think I look so much like the actor,” he said.

The entertainer — who now has a thriving social media career on TikTok, where he regularly updates over 770,000 followers — has also shared that he doesn’t actually have a celebrity he’d prefer to meet in real life.

“I don’t really have an interest in meeting a specific celebrity,” he said. “Sometimes, with public figures it’s better to leave them to the imagination. Because, like myself, I’m more than what I post. And either that can be appreciated or disappointing.”

UAE Denounces Tanker Attack Amid Hormuz Negotiations Progress with Iran and Oman

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has accused Iran of launching an attack on a tanker owned by its state oil company as the vessel traveled through the crucial maritime passage of the Strait of Hormuz. This accusation comes amid discussions by Iran and Oman aimed at shaping the management of this strategic waterway.

Iran has effectively blockaded the strait, seeking to impose fees for passage. The country has consistently targeted ships it believes are avoiding its designated routes.

The United States stands firmly against any Iranian-imposed tolls in the Strait of Hormuz. Nevertheless, an agreement reached in June between conflicting parties permits Iran to devise plans for the “future administration” of the Strait alongside Oman, another nation bordering the waterway.

Ongoing attacks in this strait contributed to the breakdown of an earlier ceasefire initiated in April. Mediators have persistently encouraged both parties to recommit to the stipulations outlined in the June memorandum to prevent further escalation.

On Sunday, the UAE’s Foreign Ministry strongly criticized Iran, labeling the incident a “hostile Iranian attack.” It cited a missile strike on an Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) tanker traversing the Strait of Hormuz, while affirming that the attack resulted in no casualties.

Later, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said a ship was hit by a projectile off Oman in the Strait of Hormuz, causing a fire that was extinguished but no casualties. It was unclear whether they were referring to the same ship.

On Saturday, ADNOC had put out a statement saying that since the start of the war, 15 of its vessels had been attacked in Hormuz, “including three vessels this week alone”.

Oman’s foreign ministry on Saturday condemned “repeated attacks on vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz”, without naming Iran.

It also said that “ongoing negotiations regarding navigation arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz are proceeding in a positive and constructive atmosphere”, and urged against any actions that might jeopardise the progress.

The previous Iran-US deal — meant to serve as a jumping-off point for negotiations on a permanent settlement — had said Iran and Oman would hash out future arrangements for the strait in discussion with other Gulf countries and “in line with the applicable international law”.

International law generally forbids tolling in such waterways.

Reopening uncertain

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that talks with Oman were “approaching the final stages”, but cautioned that “this is not a sign of the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz”.

“The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is subject to other conditions and compensation for the violation of the memorandum of understanding by the United States,” he said, referencing the June deal.

Iranian security chief Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr on Saturday laid out a laundry list of preconditions for reopening the strait, including an end to the “war and aggression against Iran and its allies in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq”.

He also demanded the lifting of a parallel US naval blockade of Iran, the end of sanctions, the release of frozen assets, and compensation for wartime damage, according to remarks reported by Tasnim news agency.

The Revolutionary Guards, the ideological arm of the Iranian military, underscored the point, saying Hormuz’s reopening had “nothing to do with the negotiations between Iran and Oman”, adding that the “enemy is forced to accept Iran’s conditions for the opening of the strait”.

Meanwhile, Israel’s public broadcaster reported that US Admiral Brad Cooper — head of US Central Command, which leads Middle East operations — paid quick visits to Gulf allies the UAE and Bahrain, as well as Israel.

Cooper reportedly met with Israeli military chief Eyal Zamir, Kan said, describing the visit as a “multi-front situation assessment”.

Heroic Act at In-N-Out: Eyewitness Breaks Silence on Intense Gunman Showdown

A courageous bystander, who faced a gunman and narrowly avoided death, shared the heart-stopping interaction that led the shooter to spare his life.

This chaotic scene unfolded when 24-year-old Chad Williams opened fire with an AK-style rifle at an In-N-Out Burger in Idaho on Saturday night. Williams’ deadly rampage claimed three lives and left several others injured before he turned the gun on himself.

Police have since released a distressing video documenting the grim episode, composed of various clips from surveillance cameras and body-worn cameras, which capture the terror of that fateful night.

In one particular clip, Braxton Stuebe, a 17-year-old employee at the nearby Dick’s Sporting Goods, is seen engaging in conversation with Williams. Shortly thereafter, the gunman walked down a nature trail where he tragically ended his own life.

Stuebe recounted the terrifying encounter during an interview with KMVT-TV. He explained, “My only thought was to remain calm, avoid sudden movements, and definitely not run. I hoped to talk to him, hoping maybe it would make him change his mind.”

‘I said, I have a family. I said, you don’t have to do this. I’ll tell you whatever you want. I’ll do anything.’

‘He started to like tear up a bit, it seemed like. And kind of just got like emotional, it seemed like. And he said to me, just get away from me, man. And a stuttering voice, like as if he was crying.’

Stuebe recalled that Williams then fired in his direction but missed and continued down the trail.

The heroic bystander also shared online that coming face-to-face with a gunman was a ‘terrifying and traumatic experience.’

‘While I am physically safe, my heart is heavy for our community and for everyone whose lives were changed forever this past weekend,’ Stuebe reflected in a recent social media post.

‘For this to happen in a town like Twin Falls is heartbreaking. Our community has always been defined by care and compassion, and it is difficult to process that this occurred here,’ he continued.

‘I want to thank every individual who stepped up on August 1st and put their lives on the line-those who helped save others, those who were injured while protecting the lives of many, and the numerous law enforcement agencies who rushed in to prevent further loss of life.’

Stuebe’s mother, Aisha White, shared on Facebook after the attack that her son faced something no child should have to.

‘As his mom and parent there are feelings I don’t think I will ever be able to fully put into words,’ she wrote.

‘The fear, the heartbreak, the overwhelming gratitude that he is here… it all exists at the same time… my emotions are all over the place.’

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks called the shooting ‘violent, frightening and deeply traumatic.’

‘It should have been a “normal Saturday afternoon,” he added.

‘Employees showing up for work. Visitors coming to see our beautiful city. Instead they were confronted with chaos, fear and now loss.’

Hicks called Stube a ‘hero’ for confronting the gunman. ‘Your courage, your composure, your selflessness in that moment likely gave others the time they needed to escape harm. This community is grateful for you, and we will never forget what you did that day.’

Hicks also praised an off-duty trooper and former police officer, Austin James, for confronting Williams during his deadly pursuit.

The former Twin Falls police officer and Idaho State Police trooper rushed toward the sound of the gunfire, only to come face-to-face with the shooter and become the third person struck.

Williams first opened fire at the In-N-Out, killing 23-year-old Ashley Garibay as she took orders at the drive-thru.

Harrowing footage revealed employees scrambling to help her as they ducked for cover on the restaurant floor.

The gunman then continued through the drive-thru before he was captured on surveillance camera approaching the car ahead of him with a gun in hand.

Police believe he then shot his second victim, 59-year-old Christopher Claunch, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

He opened fire on several other patrons from outside before the ISP officer began returning fire.

Williams then shot a fourth victim – a good Samaritan who police said was attempting to help the wounded victims inside the restaurant.

He then fled to a nearby street and was seen unleashing bullets on cars stopped at a red light, striking three more victims.

The gunman then continued the deadly pursuit in the parking lot, striking the eighth victim who was sitting in their Tesla at a charging station.

Bullets were then fired at a second Tesla, killing Dale Schultz and striking his passenger.

Williams continued to a second location, a nearby visitor’s center where three people sheltered.

He then exited toward the nature trail and turned the gun on himself when police confronted him.

The motive behind the senseless shooting remains unclear but Williams’ family is cooperating with police.

Local police departments, including the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Nampa Police Department, Caldwell Police Department, Meridian Police Department and ISP, continue to investigate.

The FBI has also asked the public to submit tips, videos and images related to the shooting to help investigators.
