In the year 2020, rapper YG was detained on suspicion of robbery at his Los Angeles home, just two days before he was scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards, according to officials.

While serving a search warrant at YG’s Chatsworth home, deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrested him. YG’s real name is Keenon Jackson.

He was held on $250,000 bail before being released on bond shortly after 9 p.m., according to the sheriff’s website.

The rapper from Compton, whose songs include “Toot It and Boot It” and “Go Loko,” was due in court on Tuesday. Authorities did not release any other information on the arrest or the suspected crime right away.

FreeYG was the hashtag that was trending two years ago on Twitter when he got arrested. However, this has also been linked to the slave contract the rapper has been subjected to over the years.

YG reportedly won’t be charged in his 2020 robbery. It comes nearly two years after the rapper was arrested in his San Fernando Valley home was raided by L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies.

Hence, the rapper is not in jail anymore.

Well-known Canadian pastor and author Bruxy Cavey has resigned from the church he helped grow into a megachurch following an investigation into accusations of s3xual misconduct.
