Shocking Turn of Events: Rising Star D4vd Arrested for Alleged Involvement in Celeste Rivas Murder, LAPD Reports

0

LOS ANGELES — The musician known as D4vd has been taken into custody following the discovery of a deceased teenage girl in the trunk of a Tesla linked to him, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department to ABC News. The grim find occurred in September when the car was towed.

Authorities have identified D4vd as David Burke, a 21-year-old Los Angeles resident. Burke is currently held without bail on suspicions related to the alleged murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

Insiders shared with ABC News that the arrest was based on gathered evidence and probable cause, although no formal charges have yet been made.

The Los Angeles Police Department plans to submit the case to the L.A. District Attorney’s Office on Monday to consider filing charges.

Meanwhile, Burke’s legal team has issued a statement firmly asserting his innocence. They stated, “The evidence will reveal that David Burke did not cause the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. There has been neither a grand jury indictment nor a criminal complaint filed. David is being held solely on suspicion, and we are committed to proving his innocence.”

Rivas Hernandez, a 14-year-old from Lake Elsinore in Riverside County, was reported missing in 2024, investigators confirmed to ABC News in October.

According to sources at the time, the girl’s body was dismembered, and the process of dismembering and disposing of her body is believed to have likely involved more than one person.

The teen may have been dead for several weeks before her body was discovered, police said.

Officers responded to an impound lot in Hollywood on Sept. 8 “for a foul odor coming from a vehicle,” Los Angeles police said.

Authorities located a body in the front trunk of the Tesla that was in a state of decomposition, LAPD sources said.

The Tesla had been at the impound lot for two days after being found abandoned on a Hollywood street, investigators said. The towed vehicle was registered to Burke.

D4vd, who first went viral on TikTok, where he has nearly 4 million followers, had been on his “Withered” world tour when the body was discovered in his vehicle. The last few shows of the tour, including those in San Francisco and Los Angeles, were canceled.

Shows on the European leg of the tour were also canceled.

Promotion on the deluxe edition of the “Romantic Homicide” singer’s debut album, which was set to be released on Sept. 19, was also paused, a source close to the situation previously told ABC News.

Discussing his journey with the BBC, he shared, “After leaving behind my performing career, interior design became my creative sanctuary. Competing in Interior Design Masters seemed like the perfect opportunity to test my limits. I’ve always wondered how life would unfold away from the stage, and interior design was a natural path to express my creativity. I wanted to see how my concepts would fare under intense pressure and found the experience exhilarating!”

Interior Design Masters 2026

Featured in Series 7 of Interior Design Masters on BBC One, Jonni joins a cast of talented designers under the guidance of comedian and host Alan Carr. Michelle Ogundehin, an authority in interiors, leads the judging panel, supported by a rotating lineup of guest judges.

Jonni characterizes his design aesthetic as “Bold, Classic, Chic,” with a strong belief in the timeless appeal of vintage furniture. He elaborates: “Trends ebb and flow, and this holds true for vintage items, which initially capture trends but later evolve to tell their own stories. I love how some pieces can be repurposed, embedding memories while creating new ones. They immediately infuse warmth and personality into a space, making it feel inviting rather than overly refined.”

Demi Moore Finds Herself at the Center of ‘Ozempic Feet’ Speculation

The following article discusses sensitive topics, including eating disorders.

Speculation around Demi Moore’s weight and appearance has been rife since early 2026, particularly after she appeared noticeably thinner. Her appearance at the Actor Awards in March fueled rumors related to the use of GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic. Moore stood out on the red carpet in a structured black dress that emphasized her slender frame, drawing attention to her prominent shoulders and thin arms. However, it wasn’t just her slim figure that caught the public’s eye; some observers also noted that her feet seemed disproportionately large compared to her body.

In the images from the event, Moore’s choice of black heels created a stark contrast with her skin, accentuating the size of her feet. “Those feet seem mismatched with her body, quite odd,” remarked a user on Reddit in a discussion about the event. Another commenter speculated on potential health implications, noting swelling as a possible issue. “Her feet appear visibly swollen. That’s concerning,” another Redditor pointed out in a different thread.

Concerns also arose regarding Moore’s manner of walking. In a viral video featuring Oprah Winfrey, who was also rumored to have experienced “Ozempic feet,” a social media user highlighted similar traits in Moore. “Could this be a side effect of Ozempic? I noticed Demi Moore walked similarly,” the user posted on X. While Moore has not publicly addressed these speculations or confirmed any use of weight-loss drugs, discussions continue. It is known that GLP-1 medications like Ozempic can cause discomfort while walking due to a reduction in foot padding, but only Moore can clarify her situation.

Until Demi Moore chooses to speak on the matter, any connection to Ozempic or similar drugs remains speculative. Nonetheless, fans’ concerns about her well-being are understandable, given her history. The celebrated “Ghost” actress has previously battled an eating disorder, particularly in the mid-1990s. During her preparation for roles in “Striptease” and “G.I. Jane,” Moore engaged in extreme fitness regimes, cycling 60 miles daily and adhering to strict diets. Reflecting on her past struggles, she shared with Elle in 2024, “In my younger years, I put myself through a lot of anguish.”

Demi Moore struggled with an eating disorder in the past

Whether Demi Moore has used Ozempic or other GLP-1 drugs will remain unclear unless she chooses to open up about it. But we also don’t blame fans for showing concerns over her health. The iconic “Ghost” star has admittedly struggled with an eating disorder in the past. In the mid-’90s, Moore took extreme measures to look thin before shooting “Striptease” and “G.I. Jane,” biking 60 miles every day and following strict diets. “There is a lot of torment I put myself through when I was younger,” she told Elle in 2024.

Moore discussed how her obsession with weight started from external sources, particularly producers who, time and time again, told her to slim down for roles. But ultimately, she blamed herself. “How I internalized it and how it moved me to a place of such torture and harshness against myself, of real extreme behaviors, and that I placed almost all the value of who I was on my body being a certain way — that’s on me,” she said.

Given how candid she has been about her struggles with body image, it’s unsurprising that fans fear she may have relapsed. “Honestly this seems different then the normal ozempic weight loss to me, hope she’s doing okay,” a Reddit user wrote in March 2026 thread. She has yet to address her recent transformation, but given how Moore has made some pretty sad confessions about her life, we wouldn’t be shocked if she eventually does.

Geh Geh’s Supposed Sister Unveils New Claims in Ongoing Family Dispute

A woman asserting to be the sister of the well-known influencer, Geh Geh, has intensified her public criticism with fresh allegations concerning his past behavior and personal ethics.

Previously, this woman, who claims familial ties to the influencer, accused him of failing to live up to his online persona. She suggested that, despite his public persona, he neglects his familial responsibilities.

In a recent statement, she questioned his integrity by pointing out an apparent inconsistency: while he publicly denounces internet fraud, some of his close relatives are allegedly still engaged in such activities.

She further scrutinized his public declarations about family values, challenging him to disclose any support he has extended to living relatives.

While the woman insists her goal isn’t to damage his reputation, she aims to highlight what she perceives as discrepancies between his public statements and his private actions.

She said …

Open Heaven 16 April 2026 – Reversing Curses

Open Heaven 16 April 2026 Thursday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Reversing Curses

Open Heaven 16 April 2026 TOPIC – Reversing Curses

MEMORISE: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: – Galatians 3:13 (KJV)

READ: 2 Kings 2:19-22 (KJV)

19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 19-20

Open Heaven 16 April 2026 MESSAGE

In today’s Bible reading, the men of Jericho approached Elisha to tell him about the problems in their city. The city had problems because it had been placed under a curse by Joshua (Joshua 6:26), who had long been dead. After his death, the curse continued in full force until Elisha arrived on the scene and dealt with it from its roots. Regardless of how powerful a curse is, God has the power to reverse it and change it into blessings.

In Genesis 49:5-7, Jacob was on his deathbed when he cursed Simeon and Levi. He said that they would be scattered in Israel. However, in Numbers 3:11-13, the Almighty God said to Moses, “I have decided in my sovereignty to make Levi my firstborn.” In His sovereignty, God reversed Jacob’s curse on Levi and turned it into honour.

When a fellow is cursed, he or she often begins to experience hardship, suffering, pain, sickness, poverty, etc. The devil operates freely in the life of anyone who is under a curse. This is why, if you notice that a curse is at work in your life or family, don’t keep quiet about it. Rather, cry unto the Lord and trust in His power to deliver you completely. He longs to deliver you from anything that might have kept you from operating in the fullness of His plans and purposes for your life. Jesus Christ has delivered you from the curse of the law, as you see in today’s memory verse. He can overrule any curse that might have been placed on you by anyone and reverse generational curses, turning them into generational blessings.

In 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, the Bible says that Jabez was an honourable man. However, because of his mother’s negative pronouncement over him, he was labelled as someone who causes sorrow. Her words were a limitation over his life, and this must have eventually driven him to cry to the Lord, saying, “Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!” God granted him his request and reversed the curse that was on him.

Beloved, if you are under any generational or parental curse like Jabez, I want you to cry to God to deliver you today. He is the only One who can reverse the irreversible. Run to Him today, and you will experience total deliverance.

Open Heaven 16 April 2026 HYMN 13 – Jesus Loves Me! This I Know

1 Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong,
They are weak but He is strong.

Refrain:
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

2 Jesus loves me. He who died,
Heaven’s gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in.

3 Jesus loves me, loves me still
Tho’ I’m very weak and ill
From His shining throne on high
He will watch me where lie.

4 Jesus Loves Me! He Will Stay
Close Beside Me All The Way;
If l love Him when I die.
He will take me home on high.

Lebanon Alleges Israeli Ceasefire Breaches Amid Trump’s Bold Claim of Impending Iran Deal

0

In Brief

  • Israel has agreed to a temporary truce with Lebanon but troops will remain in an expanded security zone in southern Lebanon.
  • Trump has said a potential deal with Iran may not be far away.

According to the Lebanese military, Israel has breached the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, which was supposed to begin at midnight. Reports indicate that several villages in southern Lebanon have experienced sporadic shelling despite the truce.

The Lebanese army has urged residents to be cautious and advised postponing their return to southern towns and villages due to the ongoing instability.

As of now, Israeli military officials have not issued any statements regarding these allegations.

This ceasefire, intended to last ten days, commenced at midnight local time (7 AM AEST) between Lebanon and Israel. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed optimism about the resolution of the conflict with Iran, hinting at a potential meeting over the weekend. Such developments raise hopes that tensions in the region might soon de-escalate.

During recent negotiations in Islamabad, one of the major points of contention was Iran’s nuclear program. President Trump noted that Iran had proposed a commitment to refrain from pursuing nuclear weapons for over two decades, which could signify a significant step towards peace.

“We’re going to see what happens. But I think we’re very close to making a deal with Iran,” he told reporters outside the White House.

Hours later, at an event in Las Vegas, Nevada, Trump went further, saying the war “should be ending pretty soon”.

The war in the Middle East, which began on 28 February with a US-Israeli attack, on Iran, has killed at least 3,000 people in Iran, more than 2,100 in Lebanon, 23 in Israel and more than a dozen in Gulf Arab states. Thirteen US service members have also been killed.

Lebanese authorities say the war has displaced more than one million people.

Celebratory gunfire rang out across parts of Beirut early on Friday as the clock struck midnight, the time the ceasefire was set to go into effect. For about half an hour, the booms of rockets fired in celebration could also be heard, witnesses said.

However, the pause in hostilities remains fragile.

The Israeli military said earlier that its forces remained deployed in its “security zone” in southern Lebanon.

In a post on X, Israel’s Arabic-language military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said the deployment was in response to what he described as continued Hezbollah militant activity.

Hezbollah released a lengthy statement detailing what it described as its military operations against Israel throughout Thursday, which showed that its last attack came at 11.50pm local time, 10 minutes before the ceasefire took effect.

Trump later issued a social media post urging Hezbollah to respect the ceasefire.

“I hope Hezbollah acts nicely and well during this important period of time. It will be [a] GREAT moment for them if they do. No more killing. Must finally have PEACE!” he said.

Further Israel-Lebanon talks planned

Trump said in his earlier remarks to reporters that he thought the US had a chance of a deal with Iran.

“And if that happens, oil goes way down, prices go way down, inflation goes way down, and … much more importantly than even that, you won’t have a nuclear holocaust,” he said.

The president said he was not sure a two-week ceasefire agreed with Iran last week would need to be extended beyond next week, adding that Iran wanted to make a deal.

“We have a very good relationship with Iran right now, as hard as it is to believe. And I think it’s a combination of about four weeks of bombing, and a very powerful blockade.”

At last weekend’s talks, the US proposed a 20-year suspension of all nuclear activity by Iran — an apparent concession from longstanding demands for a permanent ban. Iran suggested a halt of three to five years, according to people familiar with the proposals.

The US has pressed for any highly enriched uranium (HEU) to be removed from Iran, while Iran has demanded that international sanctions against it be lifted.

Two Iranian sources said there were signs of a compromise emerging on the HEU stockpile, with Iran considering shipping part, but not all, of it out of the country, something it had previously ruled out.

‘Historic agreement’

The Lebanon ceasefire was aimed at halting a conflict between Israel and the Iran-aligned Lebanese group Hezbollah that was reignited by the US-Israeli war against Iran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he agreed to the ceasefire “to advance” peace efforts with Lebanon. “We have an opportunity to make a historic peace agreement with Lebanon,” he said in a video message.

Hezbollah said in a statement that any truce must apply “across all Lebanese territory and must not allow the Israeli enemy any freedom of movement”.

Trump said he had held “excellent conversations” with Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and planned to invite them both to the White House for “meaningful talks”.

He said later that the White House meeting could take place over the next week or two, and that if an Iran deal was reached and signed in Islamabad, he might attend.

Trump said he had directed US vice president JD Vance, secretary of state Marco Rubio and chairman of the joint chiefs of staff Dan Caine to work with Israel and Lebanon to achieve lasting peace.

Iran welcomed the ceasefire in Lebanon, saying it was part of an understanding reached with the US and mediated by Pakistan, Iranian media reported, citing a statement by a foreign ministry spokesperson.

The war spilled into Lebanon on 2 March, when Hezbollah opened fire in support of Iran, prompting an Israeli offensive in Lebanon 15 months after the last major conflict.

United Nations secretary-general António Guterres has commended the role of the US in facilitating the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon and has urged all sides to respect the agreement and comply with international law.

Sticky issues

Closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world’s oil and gas supply flows, has caused the worst oil price shock in history and forced the International Monetary Fund to downgrade its outlook for the global economy, warning prolonged conflict could push the world to the brink of recession.

A diplomatic source said the key Pakistani mediator, army chief Asim Munir, arrived in Tehran on Wednesday and had made a breakthrough on “sticky issues”, although Iran said the fate of its nuclear program had not been resolved. Trump has said the accord would open the Strait of Hormuz.

A senior Iranian official told Reuters that Munir’s trip had led to greater hopes for a second round of talks and an extension of the ceasefire, but said fundamental differences remain over the nuclear program.

US defence secretary Pete Hegseth said troops were poised to restart combat operations if a deal was not reached.

A Pakistani security source told Reuters the US was offering to lift sanctions and unfreeze billions of dollars’ worth of Iranian assets to secure a deal.

However, the source added that Iran would open the strait only if a permanent ceasefire is reached and there are UN guarantees that the US and Israel will not attack again in future.

“We hope that the field marshal will have a draft in his hand when he flies out of Tehran,” the source said.

DCLM Daily Manna 17 April 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Absolute, Yet Loving!

TOPIC: Absolute, Yet Loving! (DCLM Daily Manna 17 April 2026)

KEY VERSE: Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly? How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands – Job 34:18, 19

TEXT: Job 34:13-19 (KJV)

13 Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

16 If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

17 Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

18 Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

19 How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

Monarchs are known to exercise absolute power. Their authority is considered final and unquestionable. This concept of imperial power tends to make some monarchs and leaders authoritarian and domineering. They become autocratic, dictatorial, oppressive, and intolerant of opposition. To them, love and empathy towards their subjects are strange bedfellows. And just like English historian Lord Acton said, they allow the absolute power they wield to corrupt them.

This tyrannical stance is entirely unlike the Almighty God, the true and only Potentate who has and controls all power and authority. Though He is absolute in power and authority, He is yet loving. Elihu asserts God’s justice and sovereignty in today’s passage. He states that God is impartial in His dealings with men. He sees all, and no one can condemn or challenge His actions. He is just and cannot make wrong or perverted judgments. His actions are guided by love, wisdom and righteousness. Elihu’s message encourages humility and submission to God’s will, even in the face of suffering or apparent injustice.

As we consider God’s absolute power and authority, we must understand that He is unlike human absolutes. He is not detached or harsh in exercising His power towards His creation. Rather, whatever He does is with a deep commitment to them. His rule and actions are rooted in love and care for His people. His power and love go hand in hand. It is applied with compassion and desire for our well-being.

Understanding God’s sovereignty in His dealings with us as His children is crucial to maintaining a healthy relationship with Him. It helps us have a proper perspective on challenges that God allows in our lives. Sometimes, like Job, we may experience bitter and adverse circumstances. If God allows such to come our way, it is not because He hates us and wants to be harsh and brutal towards us. His actions are always for our good. Therefore, we must not question, resist or fight His rule over our lives. Instead, we must count ourselves fortunate to be under the care and protection of the loving Creator, who has our best interests at heart and orders everything that comes our way, whether good or bad, for our ultimate good and blessings.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Playing God is one of the riskiest games.

Stunning Images Uncover the Impact of Ultra-Processed Foods on Our Bodies

0

Ultra-processed foods have long been associated with significant health risks, including obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Recent images, however, starkly reveal the internal havoc these foods can wreak on the human body.

A striking case study has brought this issue into sharp focus, showcasing an image that resembles a cut of steak more than it does a human thigh. This unsettling photo highlights the severe damage ultra-processed foods (UPFs) can inflict.

The individual in the photograph derived a staggering 87 percent of her nourishment from UPFs. These foods are primarily industrial concoctions, consisting of components like refined sugars, oils, and starches, as well as additives such as artificial flavors, colors, emulsifiers, and preservatives.

Her diet was dominated by cold cereals, chocolate candy bars, and regular soda. Despite maintaining a moderate level of physical activity, the excessive intake of UPFs led to her leg muscles developing a marbled, steak-like appearance.

Unfortunately, she is not alone in experiencing the detrimental effects of a diet rich in UPFs. Another study involving 615 adults who were at risk of knee osteoarthritis found that these foods made up approximately 41 percent of their daily caloric intake on average.

Researchers found that higher UPF consumption was linked to greater ‘marbling’ —fat that accumulates within the thigh muscles themselves, directly replacing healthy muscle tissue and weakening the muscle.

This hidden fat also puts people at an unhealthy weight. Greater fat accumulation in the muscles is linked to higher overall body fat and increased risk of metabolic disease.

In everyday life, fattier thigh muscles make climbing stairs, rising from a chair, carrying groceries, or walking briskly more difficult. Unsteadiness raises the risk of falls, and over time, the weakness leads to a more sedentary lifestyle, accelerating muscle loss and affecting independence.

Even with regular exercise, a diet high in ultra-processed foods can lead to fat infiltrating the thigh muscles, weakening them from the inside. This could make activities like climbing stairs or carrying groceries harder over time (stock)

The condition in which fat accumulates in muscle fibers is called myosteatosis.

In the presence of certain metabolic stressors, such as a diet high in ultra-processed foods, chronic low-grade inflammation or insulin resistance, fat cells begin to accumulate between and inside the muscle fibers.

Normally, healthy muscle tissue is composed of long, lean fibers that contract and generate force, but when the body is overloaded with refined sugars, unhealthy fats and chemical additives, the muscle tissue becomes inflamed.

Muscle cells also stop responding properly to insulin, meaning they cannot take up glucose for energy.

Instead of repairing muscle tissue or supporting healthy muscle fibers, specialized cells within the muscle get confused and start turning into fat cells.

The result is that pockets of fat develop where the contracting muscle used to be, essentially replacing the muscle itself. This directly weakens the muscle and impairs its ability to move, stabilize joints, and generate power.

The condition is not just about strength. Myosteatosis has been linked to several serious health problems. Studies show that people with fattier muscles have higher rates of insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome and chronic inflammation.

They are also at greater risk of hospitalization, surgical complications, and even earlier death, particularly in those with liver disease, kidney disease, or cancer.

Researchers used data from the Osteoarthritis Initiative, a large study that followed people at risk for knee arthritis. They narrowed thousands of participants down to 615 people who did not already have arthritis, joint pain, or other chronic diseases.

Each participant completed a detailed questionnaire about everything they had eaten in the past year. Using a classification system, the researchers calculated what percentage of each person’s daily diet came from ultra-processed foods.

Each participant also underwent an MRI scan of their thighs. On those scans, researchers graded fat infiltration in the thigh muscles — including the hamstrings, quadriceps and inner thighs — on a scale from zero, which was no fat, to four, meaning more than 50 percent fat.

The study, published in the journal Radiology, found that people who consumed higher amounts of UPFs had significantly more intramuscular fat, particularly in the thighs.

For every increase in UPF consumption, muscle fat levels rose accordingly.

This held true for all muscle groups studied, including the hamstrings, quadriceps and inner thighs. The link was even stronger when researchers looked at belly size, or abdominal circumference, rather than just BMI.

The most affected muscles were the inner thighs (adductors) followed by the hamstrings (flexors). The quadriceps (extensors) showed the smallest but still significant effect. These results were the same for both men and women.

While researchers cannot yet say with certainty that cutting out UPFs will reverse existing muscle fat infiltration, there is good evidence that exercise and sustained weight loss can improve muscle quality.

Exercise is the most promising intervention. Several studies have shown that regular aerobic exercise, such as walking 30 to 60 minutes most days, can reduce intramuscular fat in older adults, even without significant weight loss.

Resistance training improves muscle strength and function even if fat deposits remain.

Weight loss through bariatric surgery has also been shown to reduce intramuscular fat in severely obese patients, suggesting that significant metabolic changes can reverse some of the damage.

More importantly, reducing UPF intake almost certainly stops further damage and protects muscle health as a person ages. For most people, the goal should be preventing additional marbling while building lean muscle through strength training.
