Rescue of Nepali Workers from Flooded Hydropower Tunnel After Severe Flooding

0

Mesmerizing footage captures Nepalese rescue teams heroically freeing stranded individuals from the muddy confines of a hydropower plant tunnel, following a catastrophic mudslide that has left more than 1,000 individuals unaccounted for.

The Prime Minister’s Office of Nepal unveiled this poignant video on Friday, highlighting the relentless efforts of rescuers as they maneuver people through a tunnel engulfed in thick mud.

On Facebook, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that they have successfully rescued 350 individuals from the muck-filled passageway. The post further explained that operations are ongoing to assist over 100 more individuals still trapped, while also reporting that 533 residents have been evacuated from areas overwhelmed by flooding.

This urgent rescue initiative was launched in response to the catastrophic mudslide that devastated Rasuwa district in northern Nepal, a disaster that also impacted the neighboring Chinese province of Tibet.

At least 538 people have been confirmed dead in Nepal, according to the most recent estimate from the Nepal National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) and the Nepal Police.

People unaccounted for on the Nepal side now number up to 1,924, according to The Associated Press.

Chinese authorities also report that, on the Chinese side of the border in Tibet, which was also affected by the deluge and ensuing mudslide, five people were confirmed dead with another 558 missing.

Of the many missing people are approximately 90 Americans, according to the U.S. State Department.

President Donald Trump commented on the disaster Thursday, telling reporters, “That was a brutal… that was mud and water. It’s a mixture that nobody’s ever seen anything quite like that, where very powerful, strong, well-built buildings were wiped out like they were toothpicks.”

The uniquely devastating natural disaster was likely caused by a giant ice rock that crashed into the Lhende Khola River after an earthquake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

“On Wednesday morning (local time), 26 August 2026, a catastrophic debris flow and flood was likely triggered by a glacial collapse in Langtang National Park, Nepal, near the border with China,” the USGS said in a post on its website.

“This debris flow and flooding travelled nearly 100 km and impacted populated areas downstream along the Trishuli and Bhote Koshi Rivers, including Gyirong Port, China. Preliminary media reports and imagery analysis indicate many buildings and infrastructure have likely been buried or destroyed, including a vital highway connecting China and Nepal,” the post added.

Raiders’ Mike Washington’s Bold 2-Word Post-Preseason Statement

0

Brimming with confidence, Mike Washington is eagerly stepping into his debut season.

“I’m ready,” Washington declared to reporters after the Raiders narrowly fell to the San Francisco 49ers, 18-12, on the previous Thursday night.

Throughout the preseason, Washington, the promising new addition to the Raiders, has consistently showcased his talent. Against San Francisco, he stood out by leading the team in rushing, amassing 49 yards over eight carries. Additionally, he proved valuable in the passing game, securing two catches for an extra 18 yards.

“I’m focused on being present and capitalizing on the chance to compete against their starters while running with our top players,” Washington shared with the media. “It’s a great learning experience.”

He attributed his self-assurance to his faith, saying, “My confidence stems from my faith in Jesus, as he is the core of everything in my life. I express my gratitude to him every day.”

Washington Jr. has rotated between playing on the Raiders’ first string and second string during the preseason, but was the team’s bellcow on Thursday after starting running back Ashton Jeanty suffered a sprained ankle.

Throughout training camp, the fourth-round draft pick has impressed with his opportunities.

Last season at Arkansas, Washington was fifth in the SEC with 1,070 yards rushing.

Following the Raiders game, head coach Klint Kubiak, said he expects Jeanty to be ready by Week 1.

However, the Raiders have not provided the severity of the injury, which could hint that Washington Jr. could see some time early in the season.

Jelly Roll’s Surprising Political Views Post-Trump Jest

0

Country star Jelly Roll found himself in the spotlight for reasons beyond his music, after his comedic barbs about former President Donald Trump stirred controversy during his stint guest-hosting on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week.

During his final appearance on the ABC late-night program Thursday, the 41-year-old singer became emotional as he clarified his political stance, assuring the audience that he does not align himself with any particular party.

‘I lean left sometimes, but like many, I’m fairly centrist. I’m a Christian, a country singer, a farmer, a bow hunter, and I prefer to harvest most of my food with traditional methods,’ he shared, revealing a glimpse into his personal life.

The backlash began earlier in the week when Jelly Roll joked on his debut night as a guest host, suggesting that Trump might lose weight and regain visibility of his ‘private’ if he followed Jelly Roll’s own journey.

‘Before this week, I was presumed to be a MAGA supporter, and now I’m seen as a liberal snowflake,’ he noted, adding with humor, ‘I’m just not used to being a screen for other people’s beliefs, although I used to be big enough to project a movie on!’

Jelly Roll replayed a clip of Fox News commentator Jesse Watters, who accused the three-time Grammy winner of having TDS ( Trump Derangement Syndrome) and being a ‘phony’ who only made jokes about the President for a big Hollywood paycheck.

‘First of all, I didn’t do this for the check. I’m rich, y’all,’ said the Son of a Sinner songwriter, who is worth an estimated $20 million. ‘And listen, I don’t want to throw my buddy under the bus, but Jimmy Kimmel is cheap as hell.’

Jelly Roll Reflects On Grammys Interview

Jelly Roll also reminded viewers that he supported the UFC Freedom 250 event, which took place in June on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington DC.

‘Just because I watched a fight on TV doesn’t mean I support everything this administration does, just like hosting Jimmy Kimmel’s show doesn’t mean I have all of Jimmy Kimmel’s politics,’ the singer insisted.

On a serious note, he went on: ‘This year it wasn’t the hosting gig that I was looking forward to. It was the platform to get some very personal stuff off of my chest.

‘For the last six months, I’ve watched people decide who I am, what I am, what I believe, what I support and what I don’t support. And I felt that even more this week, just because I told a couple of jokes. And honestly, this goes back further for me, y’all. This goes back to February this year.’

Jelly Roll was speaking about his controversial backstage interview at the 2026 Grammys, in which he declined to comment when asked about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other political topics.

‘Looking back, I don’t necessarily regret asking for more time before I spoke,’ he said. ‘I wish more people took more time before they spoke. But I do wish I had found the words to express my heart just a little bit sooner. But I was afraid that anything I was going to say was going to be immediately taken as a political statement. And ironically, by trying so hard not to make a political statement, I became one.’

He said that he ‘had a microphone and I didn’t use it the right way. So I’m going to try and do the right thing right now.

‘Human dignity isn’t Republican nor Democrat. Compassion isn’t left-wing, and mercy isn’t right-wing. Pain and healing knows no partisanship. Hurting hearts are more important than poll numbers. And there are no boundaries or borders for broken families.’

Jelly Roll On Shaking Trump’s Hand

Jelly Roll, whose divorce from Bunnie Xo was finalized in May after ten years of marriage, revealed that his late father, Horace ‘Buddy’ DeFord, who died in 2019 and was a United States Marine Corps veteran, had been a ‘blue Democrat.’

‘This might be a hot take, but out of respect for him, and everybody who has ever served and continues to serve this country, I will always shake the hand of the sitting president of the United States when asked. My father would have been disappointed had I done anything other than that,’ he insisted.

Jelly Roll, who met Trump at the UFC 309 event at Madison Square Garden in November 2024, continued: ‘I’m proud that I was able to shake the President of the United States’ hand. I’m also proud that I live in a country where I can make jokes about him. Ain’t that what’s great about being an American? The democracy, the freedom of speech.

‘I will shake the hand of any president that occupies that office because a handshake is not an endorsement. A conversation is not allegiance. And a joke is not a political point of view. And in my business, taking a picture with a political figure, or anybody else for that matter, doesn’t mean you agree or disagree with their policies or politics. More often than not, I [expletive] don’t.’

Garth Brooks’ Daughter Faces Backlash for Dolly Tribute

0

The daughter of Garth Brooks is under fire following her recent Instagram post, which many have deemed ‘odd’ and ‘selfish’ in light of Dolly Parton’s passing at the age of 80 on Tuesday.

Allie Colleen, who is 30 years old, used Instagram to pay tribute to the legendary singer. However, her message left many followers puzzled by its content.

A musician in her own right, Colleen posted a text entry revealing that her ‘greatest fear in life’ is facing the day her father, Garth Brooks, passes away.

She expressed her concern by stating, ‘And I have to see the world mourn a man they never knew the way I knew him,’ sharing this sentiment with her followers.

Allie Colleen is the daughter of Brooks and his former wife, Sandy Mahl, with whom he was married from 1986 until their separation in 2001.

‘To the personal family and friends of Mrs Dolly, you have all my love and condolences today and forever going forward,’ she added.

‘What a huge, beautiful, special life to have loved and to grieve. Thank you for sharing her with us all.’

Parton enjoyed an illustrious music career that spanned an incredible seven decades and was arguably best known for her hits Jolene and 9 to 5.

Colleen’s text post called the music icon’s life a ‘huge, beautiful, special’ one to have loved and grieved before thanking Parton’s loved ones for sharing her with the world.

A further note in the caption of her post went on to say ‘what a beautiful privilege it is to mourn.’

She added: ‘To grieve is to know you loved deeply and fully. To the woman we all love, and all those who grieve for her— I love you all.’

Colleen left fans with a final note in her original message: ‘Please respect the family and her personal friends

But the social media statement seemingly rubbed some viewers the wrong way.

Instagram users suggested that the focus should have remained on Parton alone.

‘That is a really odd comment. This is about Dolly, not how you will feel when the time comes,’ one user wrote.

Another commented: ‘Your greatest fear in life? Lucky lady!… There is an art to expressing oneself eloquently which some people don’t possess. Yes, it seems odd, but let’s be kind anyway – like Dolly would have been.’

A third chimed in: ‘Gross. Regardless of a person’s public personality, a family is mourning the loss of their person. Don’t make it about you. Dolly deserves a memorial post about her, not about you.’

Some commenters explained that they understood what Colleen was trying to say but criticized the timing of her post.

Colleen was called out by others for having a nepo-baby outlook.

She is the youngest of Brooks’s three daughters with Mahl and has older siblings Taylor and August. The Friends in Low Places crooner is now married to Trisha Yearwood.

‘How selfish … shame on her. Karma will win. And may Miss Dolly rest in peace, sweet angel ❤️,’ one commenter wrote.

Another quipped: ‘Well you definitely got your narcissistic attitude from your daddy.’

But the drama didn’t stop there; Colleen clapped back, responding to several critics, including one who suggested that Brooks fans ‘will understand your pain’ should her father die before her.

‘I don’t think you will… I would never relate to you losing your father – I don’t know how you would relate to mine. Kind of exactly what I am talking about,’ Colleen wrote.

Commenters also noted that the post insinuated that the love in her relationship with Brooks was somehow stronger than any other father-child bond.

She responded to another post explaining: ‘I would never act like I understand how much you grieve anyone – that’s all I am saying.’

Colleen, who released her own album, Stones, in 2021, explained more in her response to another Instagram user: ‘This is my account – I am saying I don’t know how to respond to these things in my industry because of my life experiences.

‘I’m not telling anyone else how to grieve. I’m just acknowledging the family. You do you, babe.’

Jerry Sandusky’s Case Reignites: Accuser’s Recanting Sparks New Evidentiary Hearing

0

Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State defensive coordinator who was disgraced by his conviction as a child molester, is expected to appear in court next month, more than a year after an accuser withdrew his allegations, as detailed in court records.

At 82, Sandusky is serving a 30 to 60-year prison sentence following his 2012 conviction on 45 counts of child sex abuse. Over the years, his numerous attempts to secure post-conviction relief have been consistently rejected.

In September 2025, he filed a new petition, initially dismissed by a Pennsylvania judge due to a procedural error. However, that ruling was overturned, leading to an evidentiary hearing, especially after a witness identified as R.R. recanted his previous testimony.

In their revised petition, Sandusky’s attorneys claimed, “Affidavits from R.R. (alleged Victim 10) and the mother of alleged Victim 9 show that the Commonwealth may have employed dubious strategies to sway witness testimonies.”

They placed R.R.’s recantation within their broader allegation that authorities influenced Sandusky’s accusers with therapy and suggestive interviewing, as well as undisclosed changes in witness accounts, according to court filings.

“[T]hroughout the pretrial process, I was told — both directly and indirectly — that trauma may have fragmented my memory, and that I could safely affirm details I did not fully recall,” R.R. is quoted as saying in an exhibit attached to Sandusky’s petition. “I was assured this was common and even expected.”

Sandusky’s lawyers allege that R.R. “was coached extensively and asked to revisit and reframe his allegations.”

R.R.’s estranged wife, identified in the filings as Jasmine Rittmeyer, provided an affidavit and could testify, according to Sandusky’s amended petition.

Lawyers for the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office have described her as R.R.’s “soon-to-be” ex-wife.

“The opinion of R.R.’ s estranged spouse thirteen years after defendant’s trial, pondering what she thinks may or may not have really happened to R.R. when he was 10 years old, or any other Sandusky child victim for that matter, is irrelevant and inadmissible,” Deputy AGs Cari Mahler and Jaime Keating wrote.

The Commonwealth wrote in court filings that Rittmeyer’s affidavit alleges Sandusky investigator Frank Parlato contacted R.R. and “suggested that it would be beneficial for [him] to recant his testimony” before the recantation.

They are asking the judge not to allow Rittmeyer to testify about her opinion regarding Sandusky’s guilt or innocence or whether she believes R.R. told the truth at trial.

They also want the focus of the hearing to be on R.R.’s recantation and not the entire case against Sandusky.

Sandusky’s lawyers had raised several other claims in the original petition, including that he was denied due process and is entitled to a new trial over allegations that prosecutors influenced the testimony of a different witness and later profited from his allegations.

Sandusky has maintained his innocence after more than a decade behind bars.

He’s due in a Bellefonte courthouse on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 9:30 a.m. for the evidentiary hearing.

A workout video featuring fitness trainer Nunzi has taken social media by storm, quickly amassing over 51 million views as users express their astonishment at his chiseled physique. This mesmerizing clip has ignited conversations across platforms, highlighting the power of a well-crafted fitness routine.

In the video, Nunzi, who is renowned as a certified ISSA master trainer, sports nutritionist, and high-performance coach, as well as a veteran bodybuilding competitor, introduces a challenging lower-body workout that viewers can do at home. The routine includes 50 wide sumo squats, 40 squats in a ballerina stance, 30 lunges for each leg, 20 single-leg Romanian deadlifts, and 10 explosive glute clenches.

While the grueling bodyweight workout has caught attention, it is Nunzi’s exceptional lower body musculature, particularly his well-defined glutes, that has left the online community in awe and buzzing with commentary.

Social Media Reactions

Viewers across the internet have been taken aback by the impressive glute development demonstrated by Nunzi, sparking a wave of comments as people candidly share their surprise and admiration.

“You got space in your living room for that?” one TikTok user asked.

“Bros got better cheeks than me,” another person commented.

“I just opened this app; now I’m closing it,” a third person pointed out.

“I’m very uncomfortable,” another person exclaimed.

“I will forever envy men who have a bigger butt than me,” someone chimed in.

“What land of TikTok did I land in?” another person asked.

While someone called the video “disgusting”, and compared his glutes to “cantaloupes”, many people were eager to learn from him, seeing that the workout had obvious results.

“Y’all laughing, but I’m obviously taking his advice. There’s the proof to prove it,” one person claimed.

“I’m going to be squatting like this as soon as I get off work,” a second person expressed.

“Laughing and taking notes,” a third echoed.

“I’m doing whatever you say,” another person shared.

Experts weigh in

While the daily body weight routine serves as a great workout for beginners, fitness industry experts warn against expecting massive transformation from body weight alone.

Dani Carr, Anytime Fitness multi-site franchisee and personal trainer, weighed in on the viral trend.

“What he’s doing is certainly better than doing nothing — and these exercises can help activate and strengthen the glutes,” Carr told news.com.au.

“If you look at his other content, he also trains with heavy cables and weights, which is far more likely to have contributed to the results we’re seeing.”

Carr emphasised that building significant muscle requires progressive overload.

“That means gradually increasing the challenge placed on the muscles, usually through heavier weights or greater resistance,” he said.

“Your body adapts to the same stimulus over time, so after several weeks, repeating the same body weight exercises will become less effective unless you continue to increase the difficulty.”

Why the video went viral

Carr revealed the reason why the video went “viral”, as he claims it “flips a stereotype on its head”.

“For years, glute workouts were marketed almost entirely to women, so seeing a guy focus on lower-body training is an instant scroll-stopper,” Carr shared.

“I think it’s driven more by the sheer novelty factor than by being deeply educational content.”

He went on to say that it is becoming more normal for men to work out and train their glutes, because it is “essential for power, performance and avoiding back pain.”

“By making it look simple and accessible, he’s hit a sweet spot — appealing to women who want new exercises, and giving men the green light to train their lower body properly,” Carr said.

He recommends that everyone try the exercises Nunzi demonstrates, but warns not to expect “one viral routine to deliver the same result”.

Controversial Right-Wing Figure Milo Yiannopoulos Reportedly Detained by ICE

0

Milo Yiannopoulos, a right-wing influencer known for his stint as Kanye West’s chief of staff and current role as his publicist, has reportedly been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

According to sources, the British provocateur was apprehended at a Louisiana airport. Inmate records confirm his present location at a detention center in the area, as detailed by TMZ.

Details regarding his travel motives to Louisiana remain unclear, although it coincides with Kanye West’s scheduled performance at the Superdome in New Orleans this Friday.

Yiannopoulos, who gained notoriety as a political commentator, has consistently championed the causes of immigration restriction and mass deportation.

In 2017, Yiannopoulos stated he was residing in the United States on an O-1 nonimmigrant visa, designated for individuals with ‘extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics,’ according to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services policy manual.

The Daily Mail has contacted Yiannopoulos and ICE for comment.

O-1 visas, which require sponsorship by an ‘agent’ or employer, can also be given to individuals of ‘extraordinary achievement’ in movies and TV.

Yiannopoulos enjoys a longstanding association with West and acted as director of political operations on his 2024 US presidential campaign.

In 2022, during his time as West’s political honcho, he helped arrange the rapper’s explosively controversial Mar-a-Lago summit with Donald Trump and the self-described ‘white identitarian’ streaming star Nick Fuentes.

Yiannopoulous has since dramatically fallen out with Fuentes, whom he now relentlessly derides on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In 2017, he exchanged vows in Hawaii with a black man whom he publicly referred to only as ‘John,’ otherwise carefully concealing his identity.

As such, it remains unconfirmed whether Yiannopoulos became eligible to obtain American citizenship or a green card via marriage to a US national.

Yiannopoulos has characterized himself as ‘ex-gay’ since 2021, and has commenced divorce proceedings with his husband.

His reported ICE woes come after his client, West, was banned from Yiannopoulos’ native Britain over the antisemitic diatribes that torpedoed his career, including praise for Hitler and a vow to go ‘death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.’

West took out a full-page ad apologizing for the comments in the Wall Street Journal this January, three months before he was prohibited from entering the UK.

He was scheduled to a headline a music festival at Finsbury Park in London that was called off altogether after his appearance became impossible.

West has also seen planned concerts canceled in Poland and France this year as a result of the continuing backlash to his past tirades about Jews.

He was set to perform at the Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg in October, which would have made him the highest-profile western artist to play Russia since the outbreak of the Ukraine War, but those shows were also scrapped amid blowback.

However he has been able to mount concerts in America, as well as in Mexico, Turkey and such post-Soviet countries as Georgia and Kazakhstan.

In his Wall Street Journal ad, West blamed his antisemitic remarks on his infamous 2002 car crash, which he claimed left him with brain damage that went ‘unnoticed’ and led to the development of his subsequently diagnosed bipolar disorder.

Tragic Fire Claims Lives of 14 Newborns in Pakistan Nursery Hospital

Authorities confirmed that at least 14 infants perished in the ferocious blaze that engulfed the nursery early Wednesday morning. Despite these grim circumstances, a glimmer of hope emerged as hospital officials revealed that one baby was heroically rescued from the inferno.

The fire erupted at approximately 6:45 a.m., confined to the nursery area following the explosion of an air conditioning compressor, according to statements from hospital and rescue personnel. Fortunately, swift action ensured that the inferno did not spread to other hospital wards, containing the damage to the gynecology section.

Dr. Aneeza Jalil, the hospital’s spokesperson, disclosed that the precious life of one infant was saved by a courageous doctor amid the chaos. She further noted that six of the tiny victims’ bodies have been returned to heartbroken families while efforts continue to reunite the remaining families with their lost loved ones.

“I don’t know what to say or whom to blame,” a woman The Associated Press (AP) identified as Mrs. Mohammad Sami said.

“I have lost my child,” she told the outlet, just three days after she reportedly gave birth.

The incident prompted Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to remove Health Secretary Aslam Ghauri, the country’s highest civil servant, from office.

Sharif ordered an immediate investigation.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari also weighed in, offering condolences to the families and saying the deaths amounted to a “heartbreaking and an irreparable loss.”

NASA Moon Photo Reveals Enigmatic Object, Igniting Alien Theories Worldwide

0

A recent photograph from the moon’s terrain has generated a buzz with whispers about potential alien life.

Captured by NASA’s Lunar Orbiter 3 back in 1967, the image was taken during preparations for humanity’s inaugural journey to the moon.

Fast forward nearly sixty years, and UFO enthusiast Scott Waring suggests the photo may depict something far beyond the iconic lunar surface.

Waring contends that a peculiar elongated shape visible in the image represents an alien spaceship, poised above the surface at a staggering length of 3.4 miles.

To arrive at this calculation, Waring compared the object’s size against Theophilus crater—known to be 68 miles wide—surmising the alleged spacecraft to be roughly one-twentieth its length.

For him, the photograph carries a chilling implication: that humanity was being watched before astronauts ever set foot on the moon.

‘This is 100% proof that aliens were watching humans before we ever stepped on the moon,’ he wrote on his website UFO Sightings Daily.

He even suggested that the enormous vessel would be considered a ‘small shuttle craft’ by its supposed occupants.

However, Waring provides no independent evidence that the feature is a spacecraft, and neither its claimed size nor its alleged extraterrestrial origin has been established.

NASA has also maintained that it has no evidence of extraterrestrial life and has yet to find any signs of current or past life on Mars.

Waring, however, is sure that the mysterious object in the photo is an alien craft.

‘There is a long spacecraft hovering over the moon’s surface in a NASA photo from 1967,’ he wrote in his blog.

‘I took the measurement of the crater in the photo called Theophilus crater, which is 110km or 68 miles across by 4.4km or 2.7 miles deep, and can conclude that this UFO is 1/20 the length of the crater…equals 5.5km or 3.4 miles long UFO.

‘That’s huge to us humans, but to aliens, it’s considered a small shuttle craft.’

While the American space agency has dismissed aliens visiting the moon, the Trump Administration’s UFO files have revealed unexplainable phenomena during the Apollo moon missions.

On May 8, the US Department of War released hundreds of pages of documents, pictures and audio recordings allegedly providing evidence of extraterrestrial sightings dating back to the 1940s.

Included in what has been described as the first batch of UFO files expected to come from the Pentagon this year were the transcripts of the Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 moon missions.

Those files and a collection of images taken by the astronauts on the moon revealed multiple encounters with strange objects that appear to fly around their lunar landers.

During the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, astronauts Gene Cernan, Jack Schmitt and Ron Evans reported seeing a bright object that rotated and flashed rhythmically out in space.

Cernan said: ‘I’m looking at what – what Jack was talking about; and it’s definitely not a particle that’s nearby because there is another one I can look at and get a three-dimensional comparison with.’

‘It is a bright object, and it’s obviously rotating because it’s flashing. It’s way out in the distance, as I say, because there are particles that are close by and it’s obviously not one of those,’ the astronaut described.

‘It’s apparently rotating in a very rhythmic fashion because the flashes come around almost – almost on time. And as we look back at the Earth, it’s up at about 11:00 about – oh, maybe 10 or 12 Earth diameters. I don’t know whether that does you any good, but there is something out there.’

During the lunar landing, which was the last time humans stepped on the moon’s surface, the crew of Apollo 17 also reported seeing multiple small objects moving near the spacecraft during their flight.

‘Now we’ve got a few very bright particles or fragments or something that go drifting by as we maneuver,’ Evans told the command center on Earth.

‘Roger. Understand,’ the center replied. ‘There’s a whole [bunch] of big ones on my window down there – just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window,’ Schmitt added.

Evans reported: ‘Yes. Now you can see some of them in shape. They’re very jagged, angular fragments that are tumbling.’

The astronauts revealed that right after they fired their thrusters to change direction, the crew began to see the bright particles and jagged, angular fragments drifting past the windows.

Jack says it looks like the ‘Fourth of July’ out Evans’ window, with big bright pieces tumbling slowly around the capsule.

The astronauts were also recorded describing the strange objects as pieces of something solid, not fluid, very bright, and mostly moving with the spacecraft but with occasional faster ones zipping by. Evans reported taking pictures of them.

Three years earlier, the Apollo 12 moon mission also reported strange sightings as they neared the lunar surface.

The Trump administration’s third batch of UFO files, released on June 12, included recorded NASA briefings after Apollo 16, which referred to an ‘alien starbase’ on the dark side of the moon.

The comments were not included in the official transcript from the 1972 mission.

Apollo 16 flew from April 16 to April 27, 1972, and saw astronauts John Young and Charles Duke become the first humans to explore the moon’s rugged highlands while Thomas ‘Ken’ Mattingly remained in lunar orbit.

Buried within the 55-minute discussion is a brief exchange about unusual gravity readings, laser measurements and unexplained anomalies detected on the moon’s far side.

The speakers focus on what one participant describes as a ‘great big hole’ near the Van de Graaff crater, a distinctive lunar formation known for unusual magnetic and geochemical characteristics.

‘On the backside of the moon around Fendi graph, that’s where we get our big hole,’ one speaker says.

The discussion then takes an unexpected turn.

‘It could be an alien star base or something. Anyway, the next slide shows the front side of the moon.’

The remark appears amid a broader technical discussion of lunar data and anomalies, although the context of the comment remains unclear from the audio alone.

Gainesville Resident Caught in Alleged Break-In at Acquaintance’s Home

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A 22-year-old named Emory Stewart Davis was taken into custody yesterday on allegations of breaking and entering the home of a woman he knew.

According to a report from the Gainesville Police Department, the incident came to light when the woman’s boyfriend alerted authorities at approximately 8:40 a.m. on August 26. He reported that Davis, an old school acquaintance of the victim, appeared at her doorstep around 1 a.m. that day, persistently knocking. The woman chose not to open the door, leading Davis to eventually leave. Worried about her safety, she decided to stay at a friend’s house.

The situation escalated when the woman’s boyfriend drove by her home the next morning and spotted Davis’s vehicle parked in the driveway. Upon confronting Davis, the boyfriend claimed that Davis admitted to entering the property unlawfully. Following this confrontation, the boyfriend contacted 911, providing the authorities with the car’s description and license plate number, prompting Davis to flee the scene.

Police were able to locate Davis’s car and executed a traffic stop in the vicinity of a Wawa on 1007 E. University Avenue. During this stop, Davis allegedly confessed to the break-in without being prompted.

Subsequent investigation revealed a broken window on the side door of the residence. Officers conducting a safety inspection discovered small spots of dried blood on the floor throughout various areas of the home, adding to the evidence against Davis.

Post Miranda, Davis reportedly said the victim told him to break into her residence, and when he arrived at the residence, he punched the window in the side door. He said he went in the side door, looking for the victim, and once he realized she was not there, he swept up the broken glass and left.

Davis has been charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling. He has no criminal history; Judge Meshon Rawls ordered him held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial; if the judge denies the motion, bail will be set at that hearing.
