Gigi Hadid Reveals Heartwarming Details on Bradley Cooper and His Favorite Dish

0

In a rare peek into her personal life, Gigi Hadid shared a treasured moment from her relationship with Bradley Cooper, revealing the homemade dish that her partner adores.

The 31-year-old supermodel dazzled her audience with a detailed walkthrough of her favorite prosciutto and herb pasta recipe, which she says is a hit with her 51-year-old actor boyfriend.

Through Vogue France’s Now Serving series, shared on YouTube Wednesday amid swirling rumors about a secret marriage, Gigi expressed her immense enthusiasm for culinary adventures.

Besides crafting meals for Cooper, Gigi also relayed her joy in preparing dishes for her daughter, Khai, who is five years old, with former partner Zayn Malik, 33.

Touting her signature pasta as a surefire success, Gigi detailed her handpicked ingredients: succulent prosciutto, ripe tomatoes, fresh cilantro, aged Parmesan, fragrant garlic, smooth olive oil, crunchy pine nuts, and a pinch of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.

‘I’ve definitely made this for my man. He loves this,’ she said about her boyfriend of three years before serving up the end result on the makeshift kitchen set.

Besides making a subtle mention about her boyfriend in the cooking video, Hadid also opened up about her ‘beautiful’ relationship with Cooper in her cover story for Vogue France’s September issue.

‘What’s beautiful about my current relationship, and so different from what I’ve experienced before, is the ability to be deeply honest,’ she said in the interview published on Tuesday. ‘To say what we think, when we think it.’

The comment was also telling of her past relationships, which include an on-and-off, nearly six year romance with Malik and a brief, two-month fling with newly engaged, Bachelor Nation alum Tyler Cameron.

Hadid also gushed about Cooper’s unwavering support of her, and vice versa.

‘We don’t necessarily understand all the challenges of each other’s jobs, but the important thing is to have someone who supports you — and helps you stay grounded,’ she said.

Hadid and Cooper were first romantically linked in October 2023 when they were spotted on a dinner date in New York City.

Though the couple prefer to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, Cooper has made an appearance on Hadid’s social media account.

Last year, the couple celebrated two years of dating by going Instagram official.

While Cooper does not have an Instagram account, Hadid shared a photo of them kissing at her 30th birthday bash in May 2025.

Most recently, after both attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden nuptials, the couple sparked rumors that they secretly tied the knot when they were seen with matching bands on their ring fingers.

In the time since the newlyweds’ July 3rd wedding, Hadid has been spotted spending quality time with Cooper’s mother and his daughter in Paris.

Cooper is father to daughter Lea De Seine, nine, whom he shares with his ex Irina Shayk.

Cooper and Shayk were in a relationship for four years before calling it quits in 2019.

In the Now Serving video, Hadid also talked about being a parent-of-one, like her boyfriend.

‘Usually if I have time to cook, it’s when I’m on mom duty,’ she said as she brought up her daughter at one point in the video. ‘There’s a lot of yapping with a five-year-old.’

In addition to playing chef for her 'man,' she also opened up about cooking for her five-year-old daughter Khai, whom she shares with ex Zayn Malik

The supermodel also opened up about her second passion and said behind modeling is cooking.

She admitted she used to dream of going on cooking shows to show off her skills and discussed how she learned to cook.

She said she learned to cook from television shows and also credited her father Mohamed Hadid.

‘I’ve just been a student of television cooking for my entire life,’ she said. ‘Any day I was home from school, I was watching cooking.’

She added: ‘The biggest thing I learned from my dad is, “Cook with your heart.”

‘You need to cook from the heart, people,’ she said before noting that like her, ‘he’s not a big measurer either.’

Chelsea’s £71m Flop Faces Redemption: Cesc Fabregas Urges Shock Move to Spanish Segunda Division

0

In a surprising turn of events, former Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata is on the brink of joining Spanish second division club, Leganes.

At 33, Morata currently plays for Como but struggled to make an impact last season, netting just one goal in 30 appearances, which put him at odds with the team’s manager, Cesc Fabregas.

Curiously, Como had just finalized a permanent deal for Morata from AC Milan this past June, having initially acquired him on loan.

According to Marca, the transaction between Como and Leganes is in its final phases after Morata himself requested the move.

This potential transfer represents yet another chapter in the unpredictable career path of Morata, who this summer also made headlines by reconciling with his wife, model Alice Campello, for a second time after halting their divorce proceedings.

At least he will be continuing to play football and ignoring the advice of Fabregas, who suggested that Morata should ‘play another sport’ after a red card last season.

The striker was sent off after two yellow cards in quick succession against Fiorentina in February, prompting Fabregas – his former Chelsea team-mate – to say: ‘Provocation is part of football, those who can’t live with that should play another sport.

‘I expect much more from an experienced player like him.’

Morata had been dragged into confrontations with Rolando Mandragora and then with Marin Pongracic, getting two yellow cards in rapid succession.

He will be a major signing for Leganes, who have already made 11 acquisitions in a summer which has seen the club change hands to different owners.

Having been in LaLiga as recently as 2024-25, Leganes are targeting promotion but are under no illusions after only finishing 16th last season.

Morata will be hoping the drop in tier will let him add to his goals tally. He has scored 231 goals in 660 club appearances, while he also has 37 in 87 matches for Spain.

Chelsea signed him for a then-club record £70.6million from Real Madrid in 2017 but he only lasted 18 months before being shipped out on loan to Atletico Madrid for two seasons, before eventually signing for Juventus.

Morata was on loan at Como last season, scored once in 30 games, was then signed permanently by them… and now looks to be on his way out

Leganes will be a new adventure for Morata and his wife Campello, who have experienced some turbulence in recent seasons.

They split after Spain’s 2024 European Championship victory following a falling out on the field.

In August that year, they announced they were going their separate ways seven years after tying the knot. They rekindled their relationship last January but then split again.

The couple, who have four children together – twins Alessandro and Leonardo, Edoardo, and Bella – split because they had difficulties in communication.

In January, Spanish magazine Hola reported that Morata had moved out of the family home he shares with Campello and their four young children – Alessandro, Leonardo (twins), Edoardo, and Bella.

According to Spanish journalist Javi Hoyos, though, they have once again decided to give their relationship another chance, and were snapped together at a Bad Bunny concert at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano Stadium over the weekend, as shared on Instagram account beatrizespejel.

Reports suggest they have in fact been back together for some time.

Campello posted on TikTok: ‘I really enjoy seeing your kindness, your gentleness, and your ability to understand others. I’m sure you’ll go even further, because when things are done with respect, affection, and courtesy, you always win. And thank you also for all the messages of support and love from those who are happy for us.’

Boost Strength in 12 Minutes: Outperform an Hour at the Gym After 60

0

Discover a power-packed, 12-minute strength routine curated by a certified CSCS trainer, specifically crafted for individuals over the age of 60.

>

Many conventional hour-long workouts often fall flat, bogged down by complex machines and long wait times. In contrast, a focused 12-minute session can transform your exercise experience. Choosing the right exercises means directly targeting muscles that enhance your ability to stand taller, lift more effortlessly, and move with newfound confidence.

This efficient workout plan is tailored for those over 60 who seek to make each minute count without sacrificing progress. This is why I design concise workouts for my seasoned clients. Incorporating goblet squats delivers a robust challenge to the legs, rows strengthen the upper back and arms, and loaded marching ties together core stability, hip strength, and improved posture. The simplicity of these moves maximizes the session’s impact, ensuring it’s neither too complex nor overwhelming.

The routine consists of three exercises repeated over four rounds, striking a balance between simplicity and full-body engagement. Begin with a manageable dumbbell to maintain control and gradually increase weight as you gain strength with each round.

Outlined below is the entire 12-minute workout, complete with timing instructions for each round and essential tips to maximize the effectiveness of each exercise.

The 12-Minute Total-Body Strength Routine

What you need: One dumbbell or kettlebell and enough space to stand, squat, march, and row comfortably.

The Routine:

  1. Goblet Squat: 4 rounds of 40 seconds
  2. Staggered-Stance Single-Arm Dumbbell Row: 4 rounds of 40 seconds
  3. Goblet Hold Marching: 4 rounds of 40 seconds

Directions

Set a timer for 12 minutes. Perform each exercise for 40 seconds, then rest for 20 seconds and switch positions. Move through all three exercises, then repeat the same sequence until you complete four total rounds.

5 Morning Exercises That Trim Upper Arms Faster Than Gym Machines After 65

Goblet Squat

The goblet squat earns its place first because it gets the biggest muscles working right away. Holding the weight at your chest helps you stay upright while your hips and thighs drive the rep. For clients over 60, I like this version because the dumbbell gives the movement a clear center point. Sit between your feet, stand tall, and keep the rep smooth.

Muscles Trained: Quads, glutes, hamstrings, core, upper back.

How to Do It

  1. Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart.
  2. Hold one dumbbell or kettlebell at your chest.
  3. Brace your core lightly.
  4. Push your hips back and bend your knees.
  5. Lower to a comfortable depth.
  6. Press through your feet to stand tall.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 4 rounds of 40 seconds.

Best Variations: Bodyweight squat, box squat, lighter goblet squat.

Form Tip: Keep the weight close to your chest to keep your torso tall.

Staggered-Stance Single-Arm Dumbbell Row

A good row can change how your whole upper body feels. This version uses a staggered stance so you can brace through your legs, hinge forward, and pull with control. The working arm trains your back and biceps while the rest of your body stays steady. Keep the dumbbell close to your ribs and avoid turning the rep into a twist.

Muscles Trained: Upper back, lats, rear delts, biceps, core.

How to Do It

  1. Hold one dumbbell in your right hand.
  2. Step your left foot forward and your right foot back.
  3. Hinge forward slightly and place your left hand on your front thigh for support.
  4. Let the dumbbell hang under your right shoulder.
  5. Pull your elbow back toward your ribs.
  6. Lower the dumbbell with control and switch sides halfway through the interval.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 4 rounds of 40 seconds.

Best Variations: Chair-supported single-arm row, lighter dumbbell row, paused dumbbell row.

Form Tip: Drive your elbow back instead of shrugging your shoulder toward your ear.

4 Chair Exercises That Shrink Your Waistline Faster Than Gym Workouts After 60

Goblet Hold Marching

By the time you reach the march, your legs and upper back have already done plenty of work. Now keep the dumbbell at your chest while your hips and core control each knee lift. This exercise looks simple, which is exactly why it works well here. Stay tall, move with purpose, and make each step feel balanced.

Muscles Trained: Abs, hip flexors, glutes, quads, upper back.

How to Do It

  1. Stand tall and hold one dumbbell or kettlebell at your chest.
  2. Set your feet under your hips.
  3. Brace your core.
  4. Lift your right knee toward waist height.
  5. Lower your foot with control.
  6. Switch sides and continue alternating.

Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 4 rounds of 40 seconds.

Best Variations: Bodyweight march, lighter goblet hold march, supported march.

Form Tip: Keep your ribs stacked over your hips as each knee lifts.

4 Home Exercises That Rebuild Shoulder Strength Faster Than Gym Machines After 60

How to Make 12 Minutes Build More Strength After 60

A short routine works best when you keep the effort focused. Use this workout two to four days per week, depending on how your body feels between sessions. Pick a weight that lets you finish all four rounds with clean reps, then add load or a few extra reps once the final round feels steady. Twelve minutes can go a long way when the exercises are strong, and the pace stays honest.

  • Choose the right dumbbell: Use a weight that feels challenging but still lets you control every rep.
  • Keep transitions simple: Set the dumbbell down only when you need to reset or switch positions safely.
  • Own the last round: The final round should still look clean, even when your muscles feel tired.
  • Use support when needed: A chair, bench, or front thigh can help keep rows steady.
  • Rest between workout days: Give your muscles time to recover so the next session feels productive.
  • Build gradually: Add weight, time, or another weekly session once the routine feels strong.

Rediscover Marvel Roles Voiced by Transformers’ Peter Cullen

0

Peter Cullen has likely stirred the imaginations of countless children without them even realizing it. His rich vocal talents brought the beloved Optimus Prime from the Transformers series to life. Beyond this iconic role, Cullen’s voice has graced characters in “Winnie the Pooh,” “Voltron: Defender of the Universe,” and “Invincible.” While many might know these roles, fewer are aware of his work voicing a host of Marvel characters.

In 1981, two Spider-Man cartoons made their way to television screens—”Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends” and the straightforwardly named “Spider-Man.” While they might not top the list of the best Spider-Man representations, they hold nostalgic value for many. Peter Cullen’s debut on “Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends” came in the episode “Spidey Goes Hollywood,” where Spider-Man finds himself in Hollywood, thwarted by Mysterio’s machinations and a raging Bruce Banner morphing into the Hulk. Cullen showcased his vocal dexterity by portraying both the Hulk and Mysterio, and later made a guest appearance as the wrestler Crusher Hogan.

Cullen’s voice also graced the 1981 “Spider-Man” series. His standout moment came when he menaced as Red Skull in “The Capture of Captain America.” In this episode, Red Skull concocts a plot to kidnap Captain America and swap minds to commandeer the U.S. military. Naturally, Spider-Man steps in to foil this devious plan.

Peter Cullen is in some DC cartoons, too

Another quirky Marvel-related project featuring Cullen was NBC’s 1979 animated series “Fred and Barney Meet the Thing.” Despite its title, iconic characters Fred and Barney from “The Flintstones” never shared a scene with Marvel’s Thing from the Fantastic Four. Instead, the show was a dual-segment adventure that included a story where Thing battles a malfunctioning robot named the Clunk, voiced by Cullen.

While “Fred and Barney Meet the Thing” has faded into relative obscurity, Cullen’s role as a robot offers a glimpse into his future as the voice of Optimus Prime. Marvel wasn’t his only playground, as Cullen also dipped his toes into the DC universe. He contributed his skills to “The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show,” which ran from 1979 to 1980. This quirky show featured various superhero segments, including one where Cullen voiced Mighty Man, alongside his friend and notorious Decepticon adversary Frank Welker, who played Yukk, the world’s ugliest dog.

Cullen also voiced the Hunter in an episode of the 1988 “Superman” cartoon. The Hunter is one of Lex Luthor’s creations, whose body can transform into any material it gets ahold of. Of course, eventually he becomes kryptonite.

Throughout his illustrious career, Cullen voiced all kinds of monsters, villains, and automatons. He was truly a one-of-a-kind talent, and the silence he leaves behind will hurt. Fortunately, there are countless hours of his voice available to carry his memory onward.

Virginia Child Exploitation Sting: Three Individuals Arrested and Released on Bond

0

In a shocking revelation, three out of nine men detained during a child exploitation bust in Virginia have been identified as illegal aliens with extensive criminal records, as confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security to Fox News. These individuals have subsequently been released on bond.

Authorities disclosed that the accused traveled to Fairfax County with the intention of meeting minors for illicit purposes. These meetings were set up following explicit online conversations with undercover officers who were posing as underage individuals, according to police statements issued on Wednesday.

The trio of illegal aliens has been named by DHS as Reyben Leono Sanchez Hernandez, aged 21, and Wilmer Alexander Aguilar Cruz, aged 28, both hailing from El Salvador, along with 39-year-old Henry Adalberto Flores Herrera. Their identities were shared with Fox News.

According to DHS, all three men had previously been apprehended for unlawfully entering the United States but were released during the Obama administration. The department criticized the former administration’s immigration policies, as well as Fairfax County’s “sanctuary” stance, claiming these factors contributed to an increase in criminal activity among illegal aliens.

According to DHS, Sanchez Hernandez’s criminal history includes solicitation of prostitution from a minor. Fairfax County police also said he was charged with driving on a suspended license.

Sanchez Hernandez was caught illegally entering the U.S. near the Rio Grande Valley Sept. 25, 2013, officials said. He was released into the country about a month later.

ICE placed a detainer on Sanchez Hernandez with the Fairfax County Detention Center July 29, officials said. However, police said he has since been released on a $3,000 secured bond.

Aguilar Cruz was caught by Border Patrol near Hidalgo, Texas, in late 2012 before being released into the country during the Obama administration about two weeks later, according to DHS.

His criminal history includes allegations involving computer solicitation of a child, indecent liberties, proposed sex acts, sodomy, extortion and threats to burn, DHS said.

On April 27, 2019, police in Prince William County, Virginia, arrested Aguilar Cruz on charges of threatening to bomb or burn and making a threat in writing. ICE arrested him two days later, and he was released on bond on Aug. 9, 2019, according to DHS.

ICE placed a detainer on Aguilar Cruz with the Fairfax County Detention Center July 31, officials said. However, local police said he has since been released on $3,000 secured bond.

Flores Herrera’s criminal history includes felony solicitation of prostitution from a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor, driving under the influence of liquor and a traffic offense, according to DHS.

ICE placed a detainer on Flores Herrera with the Fairfax County Detention Center July 17, officials said. He has since been released on $5,000 secured bond.

DHS did not disclose how Flores Herrera entered the country.

A DHS spokesperson blamed former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris for policies the department said paved the way for millions of unvetted illegal aliens to enter the U.S.

“These criminal illegal aliens were hand-delivered to Fairfax County communities by President Obama, who, like Sleepy Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, unleashed millions of unvetted illegal aliens into American communities and abused the law to do so,” the spokesperson said.

“President Trump and Secretary Mullin are now enforcing the law, arresting illegal aliens who have no right to be in our country and have reversed Democrats’ deadly catch and release policy.”

The department also urged Democratic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger to increase cooperation with ICE to turn over detained immigrants.

“Under Governor Spanberger, Virginia has become a hotbed of illegal alien crime. During her first days in office, Governor Spanberger signed executive orders banning state cooperation with ICE as well as terminating 287(g) state and local agreements,” the department said.

“We are urging Governor Spanberger to put her community first and turn over this criminal illegal alien to ICE.”

Judge Rules Against SEC in Fifth-Year Eligibility Case Shakeup

A new twist in the world of college athletics may see the return of some professional athletes to the Southeastern Conference (SEC), regardless of the stance taken by its commissioner, Greg Sankey.

In a groundbreaking decision, a Dallas judge has issued a ruling that prevents both the SEC and the NCAA from barring a select group of athletes from making one last appearance in college sports, as reported by ESPN on Thursday.

The restraining order features 41 athletes as plaintiffs. Notable names among them are Cowboys wide receiver Jordan Hudson, along with two players from the Chiefs—linebacker Wesley Bissainthe and wide receiver Omari Evans.

Included in this order are Christeen Iwuala and Bailey Maupin, athletes who recently signed contracts with the WNBA earlier in the summer.

This judicial order marks a significant precedent, being the first to prevent a sports conference from penalizing schools for agreements with any of the listed plaintiffs. It categorically states that neither the NCAA, the SEC, nor Commissioner Sankey can obstruct these athletes’ return based on their professional engagements.

“As long as they would have been eligible to continue playing college sports in the following semester if they had a fifth year of eligibility, they are eligible today,” Judge Martin Hoffman wrote in the order.

Furthermore, if any of the parties want to block any of the plaintiffs for another reason, they would have to argue their case in front of a judge, the order states.

The SEC logo is displayed on the field ahead of the Southeastern Conference championship football game.

The Dallas judge prohibited the SEC from blocking players based on their professional status. AP

Hoffman’s order comes after all four power conferences voted to create similar rules that would prohibit universities from playing athletes who have signed contracts in professional sports.

The ACC was the most recent power four conference to pass an order, doing so in an unanimous vote on Thursday.

The resolution applies to players who declared for the NFL, NBA, or WNBA drafts and did not withdraw ahead of draft day; players who signed contracts with either the NFL or another pro football league, NBA/G League or WNBA; and any athlete listed on a NFL, other professional league NBA/G League or WNBA roster.

“The Board’s action reflects the ACC’s commitment to preserving college sports as an opportunity for college students that is clearly distinct from professional sports, protecting opportunities for current and future student-athletes and promoting competitive equity,” the ACC said in a statement.

Lindsay Clancy Lawyer Condemns Prosecution, Cites Medication Impact

0

Lindsay Clancy’s defense lawyer, Kevin Reddington, sharply criticized the prosecution, labeling it as a “repulsive” attack while underscoring how the mental health care system had profoundly failed her client.

“This prosecution has completely devastated this woman’s spirit,” Reddington declared during his closing arguments on August 27 at Clancy’s murder trial. “How does it come to this—how could it possibly?”

Reddington illustrated his point by presenting a touching photograph of Clancy with her children, Cora, aged 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, alongside a stark image of the crime scene.

“It was the medications—the flawed medical treatment she received,” he asserted, injecting passion into his defense.

Reddington contended that Clancy should not be held criminally liable for the tragic deaths of her children on January 24, 2023. He argued that the excessive prescription of psychiatric drugs led to her suffering from postpartum psychosis. Following the incident, Clancy, in a state of despair, leapt from a second-story window of her home in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

The state, however, argued that Clancy was not psychotic and that she deliberately killed her children.

Clancy does not dispute the killings but has pleaded not guilty. The verdict, anticipated within the coming days, will determine whether she will be sentenced to prison or committed to a psychiatric facility.

“This young lady did nothing wrong in her life,” Reddington told jurors. “She was a nurse, a daughter, a wife, and a darn good mother.”

Reddington then pointed to a Facebook post in which Clancy called Dawson “a prince,” pushing back on the prosecution’s focus on a separate post in which she described him as “the most difficult human I have ever encountered.”

“They would have you thinking she killed him first cruelly because she didn’t like him,” Reddington said. “That is repulsive.”

Reddington also took aim at Clancy’s doctors, including psychiatrist Avram Mack.

Mack testified earlier that the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) defines postpartum depression as depression that begins in the four weeks after giving birth. Reddington, however, has argued that Clancy developed the condition eight months after welcoming Callan.

“It can go up to a year or longer,” Reddington said on Aug. 27. “But we don’t really know…there’s nothing in the DSM—but that’s the Bible.”

Reddington added, “We’re the most advanced country in the world but we still have doctors that come into court on a murder trial and talk about a four-week cut-off on something that they don’t even know exists.”

In the prosecution’s closing arguments, Second Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague responded to Reddington’s assessment of the mental health care system.

“There’s no dispute that Lindsay Clancy was suffering from mental illness and that she tried to kill herself…that’s not the issue in this trial,” Sprague said. “The issue is whether at the time she killed Cora, Dawson and Callan, she knew the difference between right and wrong and whether she could conform her behavior to the requirements of the law.”

She added, “This case is not about our mental health system or how it treats women or what’s in the DSM-5 and what’s not—that’s a distraction to get you angry and passionate about an important issue, but an issue that’s not on trial here.”

Sprague also pointed to what she called Clancy’s “abundance of care” adding, “This doesn’t mean that she wasn’t struggling, that she wasn’t dealing with mental health issues. She was. She had depression. And whether that’s from bipolar or major depressive disorder or postpartum depression it all boils down to, she was depressed.”

She also disputed that Clancy’s providers were at fault because she didn’t get better, saying, “They were doing the best they could with the information she provided them.”

Earlier in the trial, nurse practitioner Rebecca Jollotta detailed working with Clancy beginning in late November 2022, two months before the killings.

At one point, according to Jollotta’s testimony, Clancy messaged asking if it would be safe to stop taking mirtazapine after five days, reporting that she felt her depression was worsening.

“I know that I can’t stick with taking it,” the prosecution read from Clancy’s messages to Jollotta. “I started having very intrusive thoughts that I never had before.”

However, Jollotta said she told Clancy that those thoughts were “quite common in postpartum depression.”

Still, Clancy replied in another message, “It’s just a very scary, stressful time for me, and starting new meds with side effects is very scary to me.” She later added, “I also feel concerningly numb right now, like I have no emotion. I feel like I’m going to die, and I don’t care. What do I do about this?”

What Happens If Lindsay Clancy Is Found Guilty?

If convicted, Clancy faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. If she is found not guilty due to a lack of criminal responsibility, she would instead be committed to a state mental health facility.

Biden Weighs Controversial Trump Pardon Plan, Draws Sharp White House Criticism

0

In the twilight months of his presidency, Joe Biden contemplated extending a presidential pardon to Donald Trump, a decision which the White House claims highlights how Democrats have allegedly used the Justice Department for political ends.

As his term wound down, the President pardoned several allies, including his son Hunter, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and key figures from the January 6 committee.

Yet, it caught Utah’s Republican Governor Spencer Cox off guard to discover Biden was pondering a similar gesture towards Trump. Governor Cox, a moderate Republican, had only recently backed Trump after a failed assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.

Cox revealed to The Atlantic that Biden had candidly mentioned, ‘You know, I’ve actually considered this for a while,’ during a phone call in August 2023, well before Cox’s endorsement of Trump.

Biden continued, as recounted by Cox, ‘In fact, just this week, as Jill and I were in bed chatting, we delved deeply into this matter.’

The Trump administration said this story proves that the Biden administration knew Trump was being treated unfairly and didn’t stop it.

‘This shows President Biden knew he and his fellow extreme Democrats had weaponized the justice system against his political opponent, but did nothing to stop it,’ White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis told The Daily Mail.

‘A real profile in courage,’ Bis joked.

Cox believed that pardoning Trump from the criminal charges he faced in multiple states would help heal the nation and stop what he saw as a cycle of partisan revenge tactics.

Biden told Cox that he was going to seriously consider the pardon – which Cox phrased to the President as something that ‘might sound crazy’ – despite his base ‘demanding justice’ for Trump.

However, the clemency never came after Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris following Biden’s decision to not seek reelection.

Cox said he ‘hoped [Biden] would choose mercy over escalation’ by offering forgiveness to Trump.

Similarly, he asked Trump to unite the country following the shooting in Butler in August of 2024 and ‘hoped he would choose unity over retaliation.’

‘In both cases, things didn’t turn out quite the way I’d hoped,’ Cox said.

Biden sparked fury on his way out the door by issuing preemptive pardons for his son Hunter, Dr Anthony Fauci and all nine members of the January 6 Committee.

The first pardon Biden issued after losing the 2024 presidential election to Trump was for Hunter, 54, who was convicted on felony tax charges as well as federal crimes for lying in 2018 about his drug use on a form to purchase a firearm.

This came to the ire of Democrats who felt it would give Trump permission to issue sweeping pardons without fear of being accused of hypocrisy.

And the same day Biden pardoned his son, Trump announced he would pardon January 6 defendants who were charged with crimes related to the Capitol attack.

Biden wrote in his pardon announcement that the action was warranted because they are public servants who have ‘been threatened with criminal prosecutions.’

‘These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction and do not deserve to be the targets of unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions,’ he noted.

The 82-year-old Democrat also used his final moments in the Oval Office to give blanket protection to former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, who Trump has said deserves to be executed.

In all, the Biden administration granted more than 1,500 individuals clemency during his final weeks in the White House.

Emails show Biden formally decided on issuing pre-emptive pardons for his family on January 19, 2024.

Among the most controversial of all Biden’s pardons so far is the protection of Fauci from federal prosecution.

He also got massive backlash for pardoning his own son from his federal crimes.

Biden wrote in a statement on the pardons: ‘Our nation relies on dedicated, selfless public servants every day. They are the lifeblood of our democracy. Yet alarmingly, public servants have been subjected to ongoing threats and intimidation for faithfully discharging their duties.’

Teens Allegedly Spark Fire Near Homes by Destroying Flock Camera, Report Reveals

In a surprising act of vandalism, three teenagers from South Carolina found themselves in custody. They’re accused of cutting down a surveillance camera pole and smashing its battery pack with a hammer, resulting in an explosive fire, authorities reported.

The incident occurred in the early hours of August 15 on Harmony Church Road, located in Chester County’s Edgemoor area. This information comes from the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, as detailed by WBTV.

Investigators revealed that the teenagers cut down the pole before proceeding to attack the equipment. The hammer blows ignited the battery, causing significant damage estimated at over $5,000. WBTV reported on this costly destruction.

The suspects, Blaze Fuller, Samuel Carlisle, and James Ryerson, all aged 19, now face charges of criminal conspiracy and malicious injury to personal property, based on jail records seen by News Media.

All three were apprehended on August 18. Fuller was released a day later after securing a $5,000 bond. His alleged accomplices, Carlisle and Ryerson, also posted bond and were released on August 19, according to jail documentation.

The blaze left a nearby resident worried it could have turned into something far worse.

“My house is over here,” Edgemoor resident David Cunupp told WBTV, pointing toward his property. “Could’ve caught fire and burned if it wasn’t for the rain.”

Cunupp said he was not necessarily opposed to the cameras but questioned the role of a private company in running the surveillance technology.

“They could be used for good, but I don’t see where a private company’s got access or running it instead of the DMV or the government,” Cunupp told the outlet.

News Media reached out to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office for comment.

The alleged fiery takedown comes as tensions over Flock’s automated license plate reader network mount nationwide, with privacy advocates, local officials and lawmakers challenging the spread of vehicle location databases.

Opponents of the cameras have condemned vandalism and instead called for the technology to be challenged through lawful action.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism, launched an investigation into Flock this week, saying the company has built an “unprecedented national surveillance network” with more than 120,000 cameras across 49 states and more than 20 billion vehicle scans each month.

“Instead of serving discrete local investigations, as contemplated by our constitutional processes and safeguards, these camera networks harness artificial intelligence to pool what they capture into a national database that customers can search,” Hawley wrote in a letter to Flock CEO Garrett Langley.

Flock spokesperson Paris Lewbel previously told News Media the company would respond directly to Hawley’s questions and looked forward to explaining “the safeguards built into our platform and how law enforcement agencies use Flock to solve crime and find missing people.”

The dispute has played out through local government action in Texas. Hood County officials voted to end their relationship with Flock and later directed that the county’s three cameras be disconnected and covered until they could be removed.

Constable John Shirley shared photos of the covered cameras in a Facebook post, calling it “a good day for the Freedom of the people of Hood County.”

He said the cameras had been “constantly scanning and recording regular folks just going about their day.”

“That kind of permanent, warrantless tracking doesn’t belong in a free society,” Shirley wrote. “Privacy isn’t optional, and mass surveillance isn’t how we do things here.”

In a later Facebook post, Shirley said he supports technology that helps police solve crimes, locate missing people and find dangerous suspects but argued public safety cannot end the conversation about individual liberty.

“We can have good policing and still insist on boundaries,” Shirley wrote. “We can use technology without giving government unlimited surveillance capability.”

The debate has already pushed communities from Texas, Arizona and nationwide, to reconsider or end their Flock contracts, citing worries about data sharing, privacy and misuse.

Puka Nacua Suspension Threat: Impact on Fantasy Football Strategy and Draft Value

0

Recently, the Los Angeles Rams made headlines with their strategic decision to welcome back seasoned wide receiver Tutu Atwell. This move has sparked widespread speculation about what lies ahead for fellow veteran wide receiver Puka Nacua.

Nacua currently finds himself in a period of uncertainty as he awaits a decision regarding a potential suspension, stemming from a controversial offseason marked by questionable decisions. The timing couldn’t be more poignant, coinciding with the conclusion of the NFL preseason—a period when most fans are deeply immersed in their fantasy football drafts.

As it stands, ESPN ranks Nacua as the second-leading wide receiver, just one spot behind Cincinnati Bengals’ star Ja’Marr Chase. However, any suspension could lead fantasy team owners to hesitate on picking him in the first round. Should this occur, savvy players might find Nacua slipping into the second round, potentially becoming a hidden gem in their fantasy lineup.

Remarkably, Nacua’s journey from a fantasy football outsider to a dominant wide receiver is the stuff of legends. Last season, he topped the league in receptions with 129 and secured the second spot for total yards at 1,715. Additionally, he landed in the top ten for touchdowns, netting 10, and accumulated an impressive 375 points across most ESPN fantasy leagues.

Drafting Nacua early poses substantial risks, given the current circumstances. Nevertheless, wide receivers hold a unique value in fantasy leagues, offering flexibility that makes them nearly indispensable. This factor could make Nacua an attractive gamble despite the uncertainties.

It’s unknown how long Nacua could be suspended, which raises the biggest question on if it’s worth selecting him. But if it’s not for the long term, it could be a risk worth taking, as the wide receiver position is seamlessly indispensable and filled with depth.

Owners could look to add another wideout after selecting Nacua by targeting players like Eagles’ Devonta Smith and Broncos’ Jaylen Waddle — who will be wide receiver one for their respective teams this season.

Nacua’s teammate Davantae Adams could also be another solid piece to add around the fifth-sixth rounds, as he’s a year removed from leading the league in touchdowns (14).

Owners could also look to pivot towards a young rookie, such as Titans receiver Carnell Tate, who could emerge as wide receiver one for the Tennessee Titans this year — depending on how Calvin Ridley performs.

Alongside Tate, his fellow rookie, Makai Lemon, is another intriguing name that could be selected in the later rounds of the draft, as he will play a similar role in the Eagles’ revamped offense under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion.
