Trump Slams Albanese Government Over Australia’s New Social Media Laws

0

Donald Trump has taken aim at Anthony Albanese’s government over a proposed crackdown on big US technology firms, warning against laws that could expose major platforms to penalties of up to $100million and require social media companies to offer users an alternative to algorithm-driven feeds.

The Albanese government’s planned digital duty of care would set baseline online safety obligations for social media platforms, while giving Australians the option to choose between content selected by algorithms and a simpler feed showing only posts from accounts they follow.

The proposed rules would also place a clearer responsibility on platforms to act against harmful material circulating online.

That content could include posts encouraging eating disorders, misogynistic material, pornography, or content that glamorises criminal behaviour.

Social media companies found to be in breach of the new duty of care framework could be fined as much as $100million.

The changes would build on Australia’s world-first social media ban for children under 16.

A White House spokesman said the Trump administration had repeatedly warned countries against measures targeting American technology companies in a statement issued on Wednesday morning,

‘President Trump has unequivocally warned trading partners against imposing digital services taxes, fines, and other forms of extortion on America’s leading technology sector. The [Trump] administration remains committed to raising these issues with our trading partners.’

Under the proposed My Feed, My Way initiative, social media platforms would be required to let users opt out of algorithm-driven feeds and choose more of what they see online

Under the proposed My Feed, My Way initiative, social media platforms would be required to let users opt out of algorithm-driven feeds and choose more of what they see online

Meanwhile, members of the opposition and One Nation have labelled the proposal an overreach, criticising provisions in the draft laws that would give the communications minister power to determine what is classified as harmful content online.

Governments should not have the power to control social media content, Nationals leader Matt Canavan said.

‘People should be able to freely express their views, and any attempt to silence or gag or influence those by governments should be absolutely rejected in a free and open democratic society,’ Senator Canavan told reporters.

Opposition leader, Angus Taylor, says it is an attempt to ‘censor’ the internet.

Albanese rejects this claim, saying ‘it’s about giving people control themselves over what they see’.

How the laws will work?

Under the draft legislation, social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok must give users an option of whether they want their default feed to include personalised content recommended by an algorithm or only content from their friends and people they follow. This option will appear as a popup box for people when they use social media.

The draft bill also requires digital service providers to protect all users from seriously harmful material and conduct, including illegal content.

This includes content relating to child sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse, grooming, promoting or inciting sexual violence, supporting terrorism, and encouraging criminal offences, illicit drug use and abhorrent violent conduct.

In addition, digital service providers must also protect teenagers and children from addictive features and harmful content.

This includes pornography and content that encourages disordered eating, hostile attitudes towards women and gender equality, dangerous stunts, and harassment or bullying.

Companies must also conduct regular risk assessments which identify ‘all reasonably foreseeable risks’, as well as the content and design features that give rise to those risks.

They must make these assessments available to the eSafety Commissioner within 30 days, if requested.

The draft bill also empowers the commissioner to issue removal notices for ‘nudify’ apps and websites, and streamline the child cyberbullying and adult cyber abuse schemes.

Model Struts Out of Court Facing $1M Clothing Theft Charge

0

A male fashion model made a stylish exit from court in pricey designer sneakers Tuesday, following a hearing tied to an alleged movie-style robbery in which prosecutors say he and three others took more than $1 million worth of luxury goods from a high-end Manhattan boutique.

Abdallah Diaby, 21, was arrested in February on grand larceny, burglary and criminal possession of stolen property charges stemming from a December 2025 break-in at 4Gseller, an upscale luxury retailer in SoHo.

Diaby appeared before Judge Althea Drysdale on Tuesday morning at New York Supreme Criminal Court wearing a crisp white button-down shirt, black trousers and high-top sneakers that appeared to be Louis Vuitton LV Trainers. Similar pairs have been listed for around $3,645 on some resale sites.

The brief court appearance centered on alleged video evidence in the case. Diaby addressed the judge calmly, saying, “Good morning,” in an even voice.

After the hearing, when the Daily Mail asked how he was feeling, Diaby responded with a bashful smile and a laugh before lifting a piece of paper to cover his face.

The fashion model is out on supervised release after his February arrest. Judge Drysdale said on Tuesday that he has received a ‘stellar’ report since his release.

‘Let me be crystal clear –  you cannot and must not be arrested,’ Drysdale sternly instructed Diaby.

Diaby quickly conferred with his lawyer, defense attorney Daniel Ollen, before casually leaving the courthouse.

Judge Drysdale has set a November 10 deadline for a decision. Prosecutors have offered one to three years in prison, but Diaby’s attorneys have not yet responded. The model has pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors have charged two other individuals in connection with the heist. Authorities arrested Ebrima Bayo, 20, on May 19, and Treasure Gyamfi, 18, on April 16, according to the New York Police Department.

They also face charges of grand larceny, burglary and criminal possession of stolen property. Bayo last appeared in court in June and is set to appear again on September 20.

The burglary unfolded just after 4.10am in December, when a silver Ford SUV was spotted outside the luxury store, according to a criminal complaint the New York Post previously obtained.

The suspects allegedly arrived disguised as construction workers. Three men in dark clothing and construction vests exited the vehicle carrying a ladder, then climbed scaffolding around the building and broke into the boutique. A fourth accomplice remained outside, investigators said.

Surveillance cameras captured the burglary. Tommy Macari, the owner of 4Gseller told the New York Post that the suspects appeared to have carefully planned the operation, describing it as ‘kind of like the movies.’

‘They were in and out of the store in four and a half minutes,’ he added.

Macari told the outlet the thieves targeted rare, high-end items, including merchandise from Saint Laurent and Chrome Hearts.

The suspects allegedly dropped items from an upper level of the store to accomplices below, who loaded the merchandise into a waiting vehicle.

Macari told the Post that police arrived about 91 seconds after the suspects left, but the group had already fled.

The boutique operates largely through private showroom appointments rather than walk-in traffic.

Diaby had been represented by New York modeling agency TWO MGMT and has over 90,000 followers on Instagram. It’s unclear if the company still represents him.

Since his arrest, Diaby has remained active on social media. He posted photos of himself singing and playing the guitar just five days before his recent court appearance.

He also shared modeling photos with Telfar in August and frequently posts videos and photos of himself out and about in New York City.

Just one day before his court appearance in June, Diaby shared a pair of yellow Balmain pants, which he then appeared to wear in court.

Diaby’s attorney told the Daily Mail in court that they would not be providing comment. The Daily Mail has reached out to TWO MGMT for comment.

49ers Moves Signal George Kittle’s Week 1 Return Is Near

0

George Kittle’s status for the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 1 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams remains uncertain, but the latest roster activity suggests a return could be moving closer to reality.

San Francisco’s decision to waive tight end Bradyen Willis and bring him back on the practice squad creates a clearer path for Kittle to rejoin the active mix, leaving a potential opening for the veteran star.

After Tuesday’s practice in Australia, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy praised the work Kittle has put into his recovery. Purdy described the tight end’s progress as “awesome” and said that, from a quarterback’s perspective, seeing him back on the field feels “really good.”

“Obviously George is very electric with his personality and all that, with what he brings to the team,” Purdy told reporters. “Just seeing him back on the field, running around, and how explosive he is as a tight end, it’s like, ‘Alright, it feels really good to have him back.’”

Kittle, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, has spent the offseason working his way back from a ruptured Achilles suffered during last season’s NFC Wild Card game. The injury occurred in the second quarter shortly after he made his first catch of the contest, forcing him out immediately.

Kittle went into the 49ers locker room to have himself looked at, and would never return to the game.

Generally, the return timeframe from an Achilles injury is a 9-12 month period. Kittle has been expected to return by eight.

When he was with the 49ers over the offseason, he was seen working out in the team’s facility during OTAs and training camp. He was also spotted posting videos of him working out from his home in Tennessee, showing his recovery at a rapid pace.

“He did everything he could to get back for Week 1,” Purdy said. “That’s a credit to him. That’s actually remarkable to be able to have that kind of injury and do what he did to get back.”

As of now, it appears it’ll come down to the wire on if Kittle will be playing against the Rams, when the two teams are scheduled to take the field at 10:35 AM on Friday in Australia.

Karmelo Anthony Gun Photos Surface as Docs Allege Threats

0

Just hours before Karmelo Anthony fatally stabbed Austin Metcalf at a Texas high school track meet on April 2, 2025, his girlfriend alerted school staff that he had allegedly been stalking her, while text messages show him saying he was “on the verge,” according to a 75-page court document obtained by News Media.

That morning, Valeria Torres Perez, Anthony’s girlfriend, told a Centennial High School staff member that Anthony had been driving past her home and would not accept her attempt to end their relationship.

Text messages attributed to Anthony show that at 12:59 a.m., he wrote, “im lowk on the verge.” The message did not explain what he meant, but he repeated and stressed the same phrase roughly 35 minutes later.

An image referenced in a Texas court filing appears to show Karmelo Anthony holding what appears to be a firearm on Nov. 13, 2024. (Credit: Collin County court records obtained by News Media)

The document outlines dozens of alleged prior acts prosecutors sought to introduce at trial, including threats, assaults, weapons-related messages and statements about committing robberies. It does not say the messages were about Metcalf or establish that any weapon mentioned in the exchanges was used in the track-meet stabbing.

Prosecutors filed the notice on May 8, 2026, to identify extraneous offenses they intended to use at trial. It is not a judicial finding that the alleged acts occurred, and the notice warns that some screenshots capture only portions of the full exchanges.

The notice reaches back to a Dec. 23, 2023, exchange with Perez, when Anthony described losing control when he became angry.

“When I get mad i see red,” he wrote. “When I get mad i blackout,” “When I get mad i cant control myself” and “When I get mad my eyes change color.”

Screenshot of four text messages attributed to Karmelo Anthony that say he sees red, blacks out, cannot control himself and believes his eyes change color when he gets angry.

In that same exchange, Anthony allegedly said he assaulted another person after the individual posted about “smoking” Anthony’s cousin. “He posted where he was at and we pulled up and got em,” Anthony wrote.

A May 5, 2024, Instagram photo allegedly showed Anthony holding a firearm while posing with a group.

By May 17, 2024, Anthony had told Perez he was going to shoot a woman, writing, “im shooting her,” the notice says. On June 10, 2024, he allegedly threatened to shoot Perez by asking, “how many bullets uu want coming out of ur chest.”

Six days later, he allegedly threatened to assault Perez again, writing, “imma beat ur a–.”

The threats continued into the fall of 2024. During September, Anthony allegedly made threats involving a gun, writing “gun to the head” and saying he would cut another person’s brakes. By November, he had allegedly written about shooting something up and referred to gloves, a rope and getting his hands on a switch.

The notice says a Nov. 13, 2024, video showed Anthony holding what appears to be a firearm.

A Jan. 4, 2025, video allegedly showed Anthony aiming what appears to be a firearm at a home before running away.

Separate exchanges with other contacts followed. On Feb. 19, 2025, Anthony discussed buying a firearm and an extended clip in a text conversation with Anthony Mendoza. A Feb. 26, 2025, exchange involving a different phone number included a discussion about carrying a firearm.

The notice also says Anthony discussed committing robberies in January 2025 and was suspended for fighting in February 2025.

By March 2025, the messages directed at Perez had grown more threatening. Anthony allegedly texted her on March 8, 2025, “imma f—— murder u … yo friends go die … sho them ts.”

The notice says Anthony assaulted Perez on March 14, 2025. Thirteen days later, he allegedly threatened her with a deadly weapon and referenced having a gun.

The document also cites alleged racist and anti-gay messages, discussions about narcotics, photographs and videos involving firearms, and statements about fighting and assaulting other people. It traces alleged misconduct back to Anthony’s school years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, including “numerous acts of assaultive conduct.”

Anthony was convicted of killing Metcalf and sentenced to 35 years in prison. He has appealed the conviction.

The court document does not provide a formal mental-health diagnosis or establish that Anthony was experiencing a psychiatric crisis before the shooting. Instead, it presents prosecutors’ account of prior conduct they argued could be relevant to the case.

News Media reached out to Anthony’s attorney, Russell Wilson, for comment.

National Television Awards 2026 Winners: Full List of NTA Results

David Attenborough has won the National Television Award for Best Presenter in his 100th year, denying Ant and Dec the coveted NTA prize for a second year in a row.

The much-loved Geordie presenting duo had dominated the category for an extraordinary 23 consecutive years before their remarkable run was ended by Gary Lineker at last year’s ceremony.

This time, they were beaten by the legendary broadcaster, with producer Mark Brownlow collecting the award on Attenborough’s behalf and using the moment to highlight the urgent threat of climate change.

Elsewhere at the National Television Awards, This Morning extended its winning form as Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard celebrated the Best Daytime Show award alongside Friday presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

Strictly Come Dancing also secured the Best Talent Show prize ahead of its revamp this year, while Celebrity Traitors triumphed in the Reality Competition category.

As Alan Carr accepted his second award of the night, after receiving this year’s Special Recognition earlier in the programme, he joked: ‘I bet you’re sick of me.’

The BBC hit, hosted by Claudia Winkelman, dominated the nominees, with its regular civilian series also nominated.

Fellow contestant Charlotte Church jumped on the microphone to praise Alan and Faithfuls Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga for a moment of ‘male tenderness and emotion.

Kim Zolciak’s Son KJ, 15, Faces Sudden Twist as Court Hearing Is Canceled

0

Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, remains in custody after being indicted on seven felony counts tied to a sexual assault case, but a scheduled court appearance for Tuesday was unexpectedly called off.

No explanation was provided for the sudden cancellation. The teenager, whose full name is Kroy Jr. but who is known as KJ, has been held at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center since his arrest on August 17.

Biermann’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, confirmed to Page Six that the court date had been canceled as he told the publication that the state’s indictment filed on Thursday, September 3 has now become the ‘controlling action’ in the case.

Attorney Sheffield said the indictment has also changed which judge will handle the case going forward. “Because the State indicted my client, the judge who would have presided over the preliminary hearing today has been divested of that authority,” he explained.

He added that several key court dates are now expected, including a request to move the case to juvenile court, a bond hearing and an arraignment connected to the current indictment.

“Unfortunately, we will have to wait for our day in court where we can finally begin to level the playing field,” Sheffield said.

KJ had been indicted by a grand jury last week on seven felony charges including: aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16 and false imprisonment.

Those charges stem from an alleged encounter with a female classmate at a Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia on April 23.

His attorney Sheffield said that the state had made it clear that it intends to try KJ as an adult, which was the matter to be litigated at today’s hearing.

The lawyer said: ‘We are expecting to enter not guilty pleas to all charges at the plea and arraignment hearing on October 14.

‘I’m going to file a motion for the case to be transferred to juvenile court and for him to be tried as a juvenile.’

A bond hearing has now been scheduled for Friday, September 11 according to Fulton County records obtained by Page Six.

His attorney Sheffield said: ‘It is difficult to comprehend that a 14- or 15-year-old child can be held in detention for a month or longer simply waiting for a bond hearing.

‘But that detention is a direct consequence of the detective’s decision to arrest him on charges of this magnitude.

KJ had been indicted by a grand jury last week on seven felony charges including: aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16 and false imprisonment - KJ pictured with Zolciak

‘Once those charges were selected, the law governing bond left little room for his age or juvenile status to meaningfully change what happened next. In that sense, the severity of the charges does not merely define the accusation – it effectively strips away many of the protections we ordinarily associate with treating a child differently from an adult.’

This comes amid news that KJ will likely endure ‘close, close monitoring’ if he’s granted bond after being taken into custody last month over sexual assault allegations made by a female classmate.

The teenager remains behind bars. KJ has denied all the allegations against him.

Lindsay Richards, a sexual assault case expert and former prosecutor, gave her insight into KJ’s bid to get out of jail, saying: ‘I think there’s a likelihood he’ll be released and he will have a lot of conditions of his release.

‘I think he’ll be on a GPS. He’ll probably be on house arrest, having to do school at home’, she told Page Six.

She also said the ‘unbelievably serious’ charges could land the teen in prison for decades if convicted.

Richards, who is not involved in his case, said KJ may have to enroll in therapy and educational courses before he goes on trial.

Richards noted that the fact KJ remains in custody suggests the seriousness of the situation.

Those charges stem from an alleged encounter with a female classmate at a Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia on April 23 -  KJ pictured with Zolciak

‘Not releasing him into the custody of his parents with electronic monitoring of some kind, that surprises me for this young of a kid,’ Richards continued.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Zolciak, Biermann and KJ’s attorney for further comment.

KJ was arrested in Alpharetta, Georgia, last month for the alleged April 23 offense.

According to Fulton County Georgia Juvenile court papers obtained by the Daily Mail, the alleged victim said she was at the gym when she saw KJ, and alleged he suggested they go into a co-ed sauna.

Per the documents, to get to the sauna, they had to walk through a family changing room, which is where the alleged incident happened.

The girl claimed KJ began to touch her and she said no. She then alleged he forced her to perform oral sex on him and allegedly attempted ‘multiple times to have sexual intercourse with her by trying to pull down her pants.’ She alleged that when she ‘finally managed to get away from him … he pulled up his pants and left.’

Zolciak branded the allegations ‘reckless and deeply troubling’ in a statement to The Daily Mail, saying: ‘He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.

‘My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed,’ she claimed.

‘Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found.’

‘We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations.’

Per documents, an officer was dispatched to North Fulton Hospital on April 24, 2026, for a reported sexual assault.

Police said the alleged victim and her father claimed the incident occurred the day prior inside a nearby gym.

The alleged victim was examined at the North Fulton Hospital in Georgia on April 24 and, per the report, no evidence of male DNA was found in her mouth or vagina.

Police opened an investigation and an officer says he began attempting to contact Kroy Sr on May 14.

The officer says he spoke with him on May 18, and Kroy Sr said he would ‘discuss the matter with Kim.’

KJ is being held without bond at the Juvenile Court of Fulton County.

His attorney tried to get the teenager released on bond on Wednesday afternoon.

His lawyers submitted documents arguing that the teenager isn’t a flight risk and that his strong academic and athletic record is proof of his good character.

The attorney said that Biermann Jr is ‘a high school student in good standing who has demonstrated strong academic achievement,’ on top of receiving scholarships for his athletic prowess.

They also point out that Biermann Jr never fled the state despite knowing about the charges against him back in April, and that he also submitted to polygraph testing.

The attorney is also asking to keep the proceedings confidential due to both Biermann Jr and his alleged victim being juveniles, as well as the public interest in the case due to Zolciak’s fame as a reality TV star.

KJ’s attorney Jason Sheffield told The Daily Mail last month: ‘My client is 100% innocent and tried to present evidence to the arresting officer, including a passed Polygraph by a notable and respected sex offender Polygrapher.

‘The fact that he’s been arrested and is being held without Bond is a tragedy. He is not only presumed innocent, but is in fact, innocent.

‘I will work tirelessly to demonstrate to the District Attorney’s office the mean spirited nature of these false allegations and to bring a close to this matter as quickly as possible. I’m asking the Public not to presume the truth of these allegations and to give the families on both sides their space and privacy.’

In May, Zolciak, 48, who has been embroiled in a bitter child custody row and split from Biermann, 40, celebrated KJ’s 15th birthday.

Zolciak shared multiple family photos from over the years, including snaps with KJ’s older sisters, Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24, along with several photos that highlighted the striking resemblance he had to his younger brothers, Kash, 14, and 12-year-old Kane.

Zolciak and Biermann also welcomed daughter Kaia, 12, who is Kane’s twin.

The former Atlanta Falcons linebacker adopted Brielle and Ariana after tying the knot with his estranged wife in 2011.

The reality TV couple parted ways in 2023, and had a series of breakups and reconciliations before splitting for good.

In March, Biermann asked the court to grant him full custody of their minor children, and he accused his ex of ‘blatant mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities’ in a court filing.

In June, a judge granted Biermann primary physical custody of their four minor children after he alleged that Zolciak was ‘unstable and unfit.’

Zolciak and Biermann will continue to share joint legal custody of the children.

Carlos Alcaraz’s Rumored GF Gets ChatGPT Makeover at US Open

    0

Carlos Alcaraz has long drawn comparisons to tennis’ golden era, with many fans seeing shades of the 1970s and 1980s in his explosive, all-court style.

There is no way to know exactly how Alcaraz would have looked competing in that era, but his rumored girlfriend, Claudia Canals, recently offered a playful throwback glimpse of how she might have appeared courtside.

Canals joined a popular social media trend in which users ask ChatGPT to create an image of them in 1980s fashion. She shared the AI-generated result ahead of Alcaraz’s US Open quarterfinal match against Ben Shelton today.

In the image posted to her Instagram Story, the retro transformation leaned fully into the decade’s signature look, showing Canals with big, voluminous hair, oversized gold earrings and an acid-wash denim jacket.

Speculation about Canals and Alcaraz began earlier this summer after the two were spotted spending time together on a boat, fueling rumors that they are a couple.

Neither has confirmed the relationship. And the fact that Canals is in Spain while Alcaraz is in New York has made some fans wonder whether their relationship has continued.

Regardless of his relationship status, Alcaraz’s main focus is the court, as he has breezed through the US Open to this point, having lost only one set heading into Tuesday’s match against Shelton.

Alcaraz’s archrival Jannik Sinner had to withdraw due to a knee injury. So the 23-year-old Spanish star has a clear path to his eighth Grand Slam single’s title if he can beat Shelton.

Gainesville Man Accused of Battery After Allegedly Propositioning Lawn Care Worker

    0

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Miguel Angel Rodriguez-Morgado, 57, was arrested Sunday after deputies said he allegedly touched a lawncare worker’s genitals and propositioned him while the worker was at his home.

According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was called to Rodriguez-Morgado’s residence at about 4:46 p.m. on September 7. The victim told the deputy he had been performing landscape work for Rodriguez-Morgado when Rodriguez-Morgado began flirting with him and offered him money to remain at the property.

The worker said he told Rodriguez-Morgado he was not interested and began to leave. As he was trying to go, Rodriguez-Morgado allegedly grabbed his arm and placed cash in his pocket. During that interaction, the victim reported, Rodriguez-Morgado put his hand on the victim’s genitals. The victim said he pulled away, left the property, and then called 911.

After being read his Miranda rights, Rodriguez-Morgado reportedly acknowledged touching the victim’s arm but denied grabbing his genitals.

Rodriguez-Morgado was charged with simple battery. Court records indicate he has no criminal history. Judge Susan Miller-Jones set his bail at $10,000.

Judge Moves Alex Murdaugh Murder Retrial to Nearby County

    0

A South Carolina judge on Tuesday approved Alex Murdaugh’s bid to move his upcoming double-murder retrial out of its original venue.

Judge Debra McCaslin ordered that the new trial be held in Sumter County, siding with defense attorneys who maintained that extensive publicity from Murdaugh’s first trial had compromised the jury pool in Colleton County.

McCaslin said in her written order that Sumter County can provide Murdaugh with a fair trial, citing the county’s sufficient courtroom space, security arrangements and technology needed to handle the proceedings.

“The judge considered several factors including the financial impact on Colleton County, the convenience of witnesses, courthouse security, transportation and security of Murdaugh, courtroom facilities, and technological capabilities,” the order states.

Murdaugh’s attorneys had suggested Charleston or Richland County courthouses for the venue transfer before McCaslin made her ruling.

News Media has reached out to Murdaugh’s attorneys and prosecutors.

Murdaugh was granted a new trial after the South Carolina Supreme Court determined his right to a fair proceeding was violated when it found that former Colleton County Clerk of Court Becky Hill improperly influenced jurors during his 2023 murder trial.

As a result, the court unanimously overturned his 2023 convictions and two life sentences.

Murdaugh is charged with murder and weapons offenses for the June 2021 shooting deaths of his wife, Maggie, and 22-year-old son, Paul, at their family estate.

At his 2023 trial, Murdaugh admitted to misleading investigators about his location shortly before his wife and son were shot, but he has consistently denied killing either of them.
