Albanese Cautions on Leadership Changes Amid Keir Starmer Resignation Rumors

0

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has cautioned against changes in leadership within the United Kingdom, following speculation that British Labour Leader Keir Starmer may be on the verge of stepping down.

According to a report by the Observer newspaper, Starmer is anticipated to announce his resignation on Monday, outlining a timeline for his exit.

The report, which did not reveal its sources, indicated that discussions with cabinet members, advisers, donors, and trade union leaders had led Starmer to decide that maintaining his role was no longer plausible.

Nonetheless, a governmental insider asserted that Starmer is still dedicated to continuing his duties in governance.

‘I’ve dealt with four British prime ministers’

Asked about the potential change by Sky News on Sunday morning, Albanese said he will “deal with whoever is elected”.

“But I must say that the history of just changing leaders is not a positive one,” he said. “I’ve dealt with already four British prime ministers since I’ve been elected as prime minister.”

Speculation of Starmer’s retirement has been building for months and has accelerated since Friday, when his rival Andy Burnham won more than 50 per cent of the vote in the Makerfield byelection, officially allowing him to now launch a formal leadership challenge.

Burnham, the 56-year-old mayor of Greater Manchester, is widely seen as Starmer’s most likely successor, whether through a negotiated transfer of power or a formal leadership contest.

He used his victory speech to promise a new path for the United Kingdom, rather than launching an immediate formal challenge.

Starmer said on Friday he would fight any challenge to his leadership and urged Labour not to tear itself apart with infighting.

Starmer led the centre-left Labour party to a landslide election win in 2024, but became deeply unpopular after a series of scandals, policy U-turns and local election defeats.

More than 100 elected lawmakers in Starmer’s party – roughly a quarter of all Labour representatives in the House of Commons – have publicly said they want him to quit or set out a timetable for his exit, according to a Reuters tally.

If he were to quit or be ousted, it would be the United Kingdom’s seventh prime minister in just over a decade — the highest turnover in nearly two centuries.

Albanese has previously backed Starmer’s leadership, in May saying: “He is a friend of mine, and I hope that Keir Starmer continues to serve as prime minister of the United Kingdom”, and warning that the, “revolving door of leaders does not lead to stability”.

Last year, amid rumours about a potential leadership challenge against Starmer, Albanese made a high-profile appearance at the UK Labour Party Conference where he pitched Starmer’s credentials.

On stage at the Liverpool conference, Albanese vowed to “defend democracy itself” as the two leaders embraced. The Opposition at the time criticised Albanese, saying he “crossed the line” by addressing the conference.

Albanese talks up his own stability

Albanese also took the questioning as an opportunity to urge stability — both in the UK and more locally in Australia from his own opponents.

“I think stability is a good thing,” he said. “I’m on my fourth Liberal party leader as well.”

“I don’t know how many National Party leaders as well. But you know, they haven’t even got a National party leader is in the House of Representatives at the moment.”

Angus Taylor was elected the new leader of the Liberal Party in February after winning a spill motion against Sussan Ley.

Scott Morrison and Peter Dutton have also led the party during Albanese’s tenure as prime minister.

Long-time Nationals leader David Littleproud also resigned in March and was later replaced by Matt Canavan.

“A lot of chaos has occurred in global politics,” Albanese added.

He credited his government with providing “stability”, while rejecting speculation about who would lead the party after him.

Asked if Mark Butler would be his “heir apparent”, Albanese said his government was a “united team”.

“No one in our caucus is worried about that.”

Angel Reese Addresses Reaction to Black Anthem Following Boos from Fever Fans

0

This week, WNBA star Angel Reese shared a poignant personal moment that followed fan abuse she encountered while in Indianapolis.

At 24, Reese, now a part of the Atlanta Dream, expressed her emotions visibly as she joined in singing ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing,’ the Black national anthem, before Thursday’s showdown against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever.

On the heels of the federal Juneteenth holiday celebrated on Friday, Reese and her teammates faced the Fever once more in Atlanta. Here, Reese reflected on the significance of that anthem and its deep connection to her identity as an African-American woman.

“It was just one in the moment of where I was, and how it felt, and how it hit, and the things that I’ve had to experience the last couple years, and they haven’t always been great,” Reese remarked on Saturday.

“It’s not supposed to be easy, but I am very, very grateful for this opportunity to be a Black woman, it’s a privilege… being where I was, hearing the loud boos when I was in the arena, and then when I heard ‘Lift Every Voice,’ it just made me feel like, this is for the ones that walked for me.”

Reese also discussed the importance of the song, which is derived from the 1900 James Weldon Johnson poem and uses an arrangement composed by his brother, John Rosamond Johnson.

‘Those young girls, those young boys out there, when they see a Black girl being able to run up and down the court and just have this life and have this experience, I think it’s really important. Representation is important, for me to use my voice, for me to use my platform, I’ll never stay silent for things I believe in,’ Reese said.

Now in her first year with the Atlanta Dream, Reese was seen singing and swaying along with the Black national anthem, ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing,’ before Thursday’s game

It’s been a busy week for Reese, who recorded her 1,000th rebound in just her 79th career game to set a WNBA record.

Meanwhile, her new team beat the Fever by seven points in Indiana on Thursday and 17 two nights later in Atlanta as she recorded 39 points and 19 rebounds over the back-to-back victories.

Beyond the wins, she also took the opportunity to get under the skin of her long-time rival, Clark, whose Iowa Hawkeyes famously fell to Reese’s LSU Tigers in the 2023 national championship.

During the first quarter of Saturday’s game, which the Dream won 113-96, Clark brought the ball up the floor before being fouled near the top of the key by Reese’s teammate Jordin Canada.

Reese then swiped at the ball in Clark’s hands after the whistle, resulting in some brief trash talk between the two.

Days earlier, Reese mocked Clark by imitating her flailing following a controversial foul.

Although the two have remained respectful towards each other in public, Clark’s fans have crossed the line with Reese, she claimed during her tenure with the Chicago Sky.

‘I think it’s really just the fans, her fans, the Iowa fans, now the Indiana fans, that are really just, they ride for her, and I respect that, respectfully. But sometimes it’s very disrespectful. I think there’s a lot of racism when it comes to it,’ Reese said during a 2024 podcast.

This season, Reese’s Dream are tied for second in the WNBA at 11-4, while Clark’s Fever are in seventh at 9-7.

Breaking Down Virginia’s Groundbreaking Budget Agreement: Key Highlights and Implications

The new budget includes additional taxes on data centers and provides salary increases for both educators and state workers.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia’s legislators have unveiled a conclusive budget agreement, a crucial step that aims to prevent an unprecedented government shutdown in the state.

Achieving a finalized budget for Virginia’s 2026-28 financial plan has been a challenging process, marked by intense disputes among state officials. A major point of contention was the tax exemptions for data centers, which have traditionally saved developers billions.

Senate members aimed to eliminate these tax breaks, arguing that data centers should contribute fairly to maintain operations in Virginia, the global hub for data centers. In contrast, members of the House resisted, emphasizing the significant role data centers play in sustaining 74,000 jobs statewide and contributing over $2 million in local taxes.

The protracted negotiations extended to the point where the legislative session concluded without a budget, necessitating lawmakers to return to Richmond for its completion.

After further discussion, on Friday, June 19 — less than two weeks before Virginia’s budget deadline — Virginia lawmakers published their completed budget agreement.

What’s in this long-awaited budget?

This budget contains tens of billions of dollars in spending, including 4% raises for Virginia’s teachers and 3.5% raises for its state employees during each of the next two fiscal years.

It also includes an “energy consumption fee” for data centers. For the next two fiscal years, on a monthly basis, data center developers will need to pay $0.011 per kilowatt hour (kWh) of all electricity they consume at each of their data centers. These revenue collections are capped at $600 million per year.

Additionally, Virginia is raising the standard deduction for its taxpayers. Currently, when filing state taxes, single filers can take a standard deduction of $8,750, and joint filers can take a standard deduction of $17,500.

In 2027, those deductions will increase to $9,200 and $18,400, respectively. In 2028, they will increase to $9,300 and $18,600.

Under this new budget, localities would also be able to hold referendums regarding a possible 1% sales tax increase to fund school construction. Voters could see this issue on their ballots as soon as this November, should interested localities act quickly.

The budget also establishes a “regulated, adult-use retail cannabis market,” with sales to start on July 1, 2027. The number of stores statewide will be capped at 350.

In addition to state sales taxes, localities will also have the option to levy an additional 3.5% tax on marijuana sales. There will also be an excise tax rate of 6% for the next two years, which will increase to 8% in 2029.

Sen. L. Louise Lucas (D-Portsmouth) and Del. Luke Torian (D-Prince William), who both chair their chambers’ respective finance appropriations committees, released a joint statement regarding this budget agreement. It reads as follows:

“This budget agreement reflects our shared commitment to making Virginia more affordable for families. At a time when too many households are feeling squeezed by rising costs and economic uncertainty, this conference report makes historic investments to lower costs, strengthen our schools, protect access to healthcare, expand economic opportunity, and maintain the Commonwealth’s strong fiscal foundation.

We appreciate the hard work of the conferees, staff, and our colleagues in both chambers who helped make this agreement possible. We look forward to passing this conference report and sending it to Governor Spanberger’s desk.”

What happens next?

There are still multiple hurdles this budget has to clear.

First, it must pass both the House of Delegates and the Senate. Both legislative bodies should take up these votes on Monday, June 22.

It must then be signed into law by Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D).

Haiti Exits World Cup as Morocco Triumphs Over Scotland

0

In Brief

In a day marked by significant developments on the pitch, Brazil’s forward Raphinha was taken off after sustaining a suspected leg injury. Meanwhile, Morocco sails forward in Group C after clinching a 1-0 victory over Scotland.

Three teams, Haiti, Scotland, and Australia, have each struggled to break through their opponents’ defenses, ending their matches without a single goal to show for the day.

In a burst of action, Haiti came tantalizingly close to netting their first World Cup goal in over half a century during their game against Brazil. Ricardo Ade’s near-perfect header from a corner forced Brazil’s goalkeeper Alisson Becker into an impressive save, marking a fleeting but hopeful opportunity for the team.

Haiti made its World Cup debut in 1974, where they faced formidable opponents like Italy and Argentina, managing to score against both. Their next opportunity to break their World Cup goal drought will come when they meet Morocco in Atlanta.

Following their defeat, Haiti’s upcoming game against Morocco will also be their concluding match for the 2026 World Cup. As the first team to be eliminated from the tournament, they face an early exit.

With 77 places separating the nations in the FIFA rankings, Brazil quickly took control and thought they had scored when Raphinha fired home, only for the Barcelona winger to be flagged offside.

For Brazil, the match was an opportunity to breathe life into their World Cup campaign and close in on a spot in the last 32. Matheus Cunha scored twice as Brazil eased past Haiti 3-0.

After a much-criticised display in their opening 1-1 draw with Morocco, the five-time world champions underlined the gulf in class against Haiti.

Cunha’s scruffy goal in Philadelphia gave Brazil the lead midway through the first half, and he struck again as Carlo Ancelotti’s side asserted their dominance. Vinicius Junior added a third before the break.

Brazil play Scotland in their final Group C game in Miami on 24 June.

The Selecao currently have the edge over Morocco for top spot on goal difference. If they finish first, they would face the Group F runners-up — likely to be the Netherlands, Japan or Sweden — in the next round.

Despite a US government ban which has prevented fans travelling from Haiti, the Caribbean nation received loud support from the sizeable Haitian diaspora, which filled roughly half of the 68,324 crowd.

Aggrieved at not coming away with a point from their 1-0 loss to Scotland last week, Haiti coach Sebastien Migne urged his players to embrace the opportunity to play Brazil at a World Cup.

It was a sign of what was to come though and Brazil broke the deadlock on 23 minutes.

Cunha sparked the move by winning possession in midfield and, after Vinicius’s shot was parried, he reacted quickest to block Hannes Delcroix’s clearance to send the ball trickling into the net.

Vinicius and Cunha combined again to double the lead, the former slipping his team-mate in behind the Haiti defence to blast in a powerful left-footed shot as he fell to the ground.

Brazil lost Raphinha to injury but scored a third before half-time as Vinicius ran onto Lucas Paqueta’s floated pass and steered through the legs of Johny Placide.

Morrocco scores game’s only goal in first two minutes

Morocco beat Scotland 1-0 in Group C of the World Cup on Friday with Ismael Saibari scoring his second goal in as many games after 71 seconds, leaving the North Africans well placed to advance into the round of 32.

With the game barely underway, Saibari ran on to a pass from Brahim Diaz with Scotland’s defenders left watching and he lashed the ball past goalkeeper Angus Gunn. Morocco looked a class above Scotland for much of the first half.

The 25-year-old, who was born in Spain and raised in Belgium, is reportedly on the brink of a 55 million-euro ($90M) transfer from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven to Bayern Munich.

The quality of his strike past goalkeeper Angus Gunn showed why he is attracting such interest, and it was telling that Scotland lacked the same quality in the opposition box — that helps explain why Morocco are ranked fifth in the world, and Scotland 40th.

Scotland were as stodgy in attack as they have been for a long time, and it took until first-half stoppage time for them to create anything dangerous.

Although Steve Clarke’s men played with more intensity after the break, it was Morocco who came closest to getting the game’s second goal when an effort by Saibari was deflected on to the bar shortly after the interval.

Morocco have four points after drawing 1-1 with Brazil in their first match and they face Haiti in their final group match.

Scotland have three points after beating Haiti 1-0 last Saturday which might be enough to see them into the World Cup knockout round for the first time.

The Scots will close out their group games against Brazil next Wednesday.

Australia loses with an own goal and a controversial call

Socceroos coach Tony Popovic elected to surprise in the team’s game against the US by starting World Cup goal scorers Nestory Irankunda and Conor Metcalfe on the bench.

The US opened the scoring after an own goal by Australia in the 10th minute, making them the first team in World Cup history to benefit from an opponent’s own goal in two consecutive matches.

In the 44th minute the US scored a second, following a hotly debated call by VAR.

Australia came back stronger in the second half, substituting Jason Geria, Conor Metcalfe and Nestory Irankunda on as Nishan Velupillay, Cam Burgess and Mo Touré went off.

But despite the stronger gameplay, Australia was unable to score.

The US finished with the edge in possession at 56 per cent and both teams managed only two shots on goal.

DCLM Daily Manna 22 June 2026 — Preach The Gospel

DCLM Daily Manna 22 June 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Preach The Gospel

TOPIC: Preach The Gospel (DCLM Daily Manna 22 June 2026)

KEY VERSE: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature – Mark 16:15

TEXT: Mark 16:14-20 (KJV)

14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

The gospel can break chains in prison cells, restore dignity to the ashamed, bring enemies to their knees in reconciliation, and turn the hardest heart into a dwelling place for love. No philosophy, government, or movement in history has changed the world like the message of Christ crucified and risen. It is not just good words or advice; it is good news with the power to convict and convert the souls of men.

In today’s text, Christ appeared to the disciples after His resurrection. He upbraided them for their unbelief and charged them to go and preach the gospel. He told them that while some will believe their words, others would not. Those who believe will experience signs and wonders. They shall cast out devils, speak in tongues, take up serpents, be immune to poison and heal the sick. Soon after speaking these words, Christ ascended to heaven and sat on the right hand of God. On earth, the disciples promptly obeyed the Lord’s command and put the gospel on the road.

The commission to preach the gospel did not expire with the early Church. It is not reserved for pastors or missionaries alone; it belongs to every follower of Jesus Christ. Regrettably, in a world full of distractions, many believers have gone silent on the gospel. In a culture increasingly hostile to the truth, the tendency is to hide faith behind politeness. But the gospel is not something to be hoarded. It is a lifeline, not a lifestyle brand. When we share the good news, heaven partners with us, just as it did with the apostles.

The burden of prompt obedience lies on every believer concerning spreading the good news. We must not allow other activities, fear or inadequacy to silence our voice. The power of the gospel does not depend on our eloquence, but it flows from our obedience. We are to go, teach and disciple new converts, not through any new idea, but the old, rugged truth embedded in Christ’s saving gospel.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Every believer goes everywhere with a pulpit; how and how often they use it depends on their commitment.

MEMORISE: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: – John 11:25 (KJV)

READ: John 2:1-11 (KJV)

1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 95-103

Open Heaven 22 June 2026 MESSAGE

The Almighty God is truly powerful. He is Lord over all, and He is so powerful that He can bring the future into the present.

In today’s Bible reading, Jesus, His mother, and His disciples attended a wedding. In the course of the celebration, His mother learnt that the hosts had run out of wine and she informed Jesus who responded by saying, “My time has not yet come.” Notwithstanding, Jesus instructed the servants at the wedding to fill six waterpots with water and then draw out some of it for the governor of the ceremony. As they did so, the water miraculously turned into wine. Jesus simply reached into the future and changed the time from ‘not yet’ to ‘now’. I pray that if there is anything you are trusting God for that seems to have been delayed, it will come into manifestation now, in Jesus’ name.

In John 11:1-17, Lazarus died and had been buried for four days before Jesus arrived on the scene. Naturally, his case was a hopeless one because a four-day-old corpse would have started decomposing already. However, when Jesus arrived at Lazarus’ home, He told Martha, his sister, that her brother would rise again. If Jesus had arrived on the day Lazarus died, Martha might have had a glimmer of hope that Jesus could raise her brother from the dead. However, he had been dead for four days, and she said, “Lord, by this time he stinketh…” (John 11:39). Even though Jesus had not yet died and resurrected, He reached into the future to become the Resurrection and the Life for Lazarus’ sake (John 11:25). He took on an identity that was reserved for after his death and resurrection and called Lazarus out of the grave.

Beloved, we serve a God who is not bound by time. He created time itself and is Lord over it. This is why you should not despair when it seems like you have lost some opportunities, or when you are in a terrible situation that seems to be beyond redemption. When you are faced with such circumstances, all God requires you to do is have faith in Him, and as Jesus said in John 11:40, “…if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God…” I pray today that if there is any situation in your life that has been judged to be dead and stinking, such a situation will experience the Resurrection and the Life, in Jesus’ name.

Rhapsody Of Realities 22 June 2026: Take Charge Of Your Body

Rhapsody Of Realities 22 June 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): Take Charge Of Your Body

TOPIC: Take Charge Of Your Body (Rhapsody of Realities 22 June 2026)

…Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost…and ye are not your own? (1 Corinthians 6:19).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

Did you know that your body isn’t yours? It belongs to Jesus Christ; you were bought with a price. The Bible says, “…therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20). Even though your body belongs to God, He has entrusted it to you. You’re the custodian of your body; you’re responsible for it.

Many haven’t understood this. They think God is responsible for their body and whatever happens in it. They assume that if they serve God well enough, He’ll automatically take care of their health. But that’s not how it works. You’re responsible for keeping your body in health.

Faithfulness isn’t the same as faith. You can be faithful in serving God and still allow sickness in your body because you haven’t taken your place of dominion. You’re a partaker of the divine nature; you’re not ordinary. You have authority over Satan, sickness, disease, infirmity, and death.

So, refuse to allow sickness or disease gain entrance into your body. Don’t permit it. If you notice symptoms, don’t panic, don’t cry, and don’t accept them. More importantly, don’t beg God to take them away. You’ve been given authority. Exercise it. He said in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils….” Notice that He told you to do it.

Don’t beg God to take sickness away from you; rather, destroy it with your faith-filled words. Put your hand on your body and say, “In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command this sickness to get out of my body. This body belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, and I refuse to allow any sickness in it.”

When you speak like that in the Name of Jesus, that condition has no choice but to go. God is pleased with your faith. The Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him…” (Hebrews 11:6). You don’t cry over sickness; you exercise authority over it. Use the Word to keep your body in health; this is God’s will for you: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 1:2).

CONFESSION

I have the life of God in me, and it fully inundates my body. Sickness, disease and infirmity have no place in me because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I walk in health, strength and perfection. Hallelujah!

Proverbs 4:20-22 (KJV)
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. [21] Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. [22] For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Romans 8:10-11 (KJV)
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. [11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

TEXT: Romans 10:17-21 (KJV)

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

In 1896, Thomas Edison learnt that the young and aspiring Henry Ford, working in his company, had created an experimental car. Edison met young Henry at the company’s party and fired him up with the following words that generated faith in the heart of Ford to pursue his experiment: “Young man, that’s the thing! You have it! I think you are on to something! I encourage you to continue your pursuit.” That was the fuel of faith that fired the heart of Henry Ford and eventually helped him invent the car that made him famous and wealthy.

In today’s text, the Holy Spirit teaches us that saving faith comes by hearing and acting on God’s word. It is not enough to hear the Word, like the unbelieving Jews heard, without a corresponding obedient response. We must accompany our hearing of the Word with appropriate action. God’s word surpasses any other fuel to generate the faith that works in any dormant heart. Fill the empty tank of your heart daily with the fuel of God’s word, and nothing shall be impossible unto you. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

A definite way to cultivate the faith that works is by turning the words of Christ into songs and hymns and the psalms into songs. Sing these words and psalms gracefully until you own them. They will not only generate faith in your heart, but they will inspire faith in the hearts of those hearing you also.

We can become faith warriors and conquerors by deploying God’s word to quench Satan’s fiery darts of evil and unclean thoughts against our hearts. Like Paul and Silas in the dark dungeon of the Philippian jail, we can turn God’s words into prayers and praises, and the foundations of our prisons will begin to quake as all bondages are broken and all limitations overcome.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
It takes faith and God’s word to produce a work of grace

Rhapsody Of Realities 21 June 2026: You’re God’s Voice To Your Generation

Rhapsody Of Realities 21 June 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): You’re God’s Voice To Your Generation

TOPIC: You’re God’s Voice To Your Generation (Rhapsody of Realities 21 June 2026)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

The responsibility for preaching the Gospel today rests with us. Those who came before us fulfilled their part and completed their assignments. The Apostle Paul, for example, declared at the end of his ministry, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”(2 Timothy 4:7). He knew he had accomplished what God sent him to do.

Now, the responsibility has passed on to us. We’re the ones appointed by God for our generation. We’re His messengers, entrusted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to reach the world in our day. This is a sobering and inspiring truth: the Gospel has been committed to your trust.

God works through men and women who understand their calling and take responsibility for their generation. So, impact your world with the Gospel. It’s what He called us to live for. He said in Matthew 4:19, “…Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” He said, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).

We’re the ones charged with the responsibility to preach the Gospel in all the world, disciple the nations, and make them ready for the soon-coming of the Lord Jesus. He said in Matthew 28:19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

We’re His ambassadors, sent to bring others into this new life and show them how to live victoriously. Think about the impact that can be made when each one of us takes this seriously, the expanded reach and influence. That’s what the Lord wants. You’re not here by chance; you’re His mouthpiece to your generation.

The Gospel has been committed to you; therefore, preach it with urgency, boldness and conviction. Through you, God wants to locate and bring the last lost soul into the Kingdom. Take your place and fulfill your ministry. This is your time; impact your world for Christ.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I recognize my responsibility as your ambassador and minister of reconciliation to my generation. I proclaim your Word with boldness, and today, through me, lives are transformed and your Kingdom is expanded, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20 (KJV)
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Romans 10:13-15 (KJV)
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

1 Corinthians 9:16 (NIV)
For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

MEMORISE: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. – Hebrews 6:12 (KJV)

READ: Ephesians 5:1-5 (KJV)

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 89-94

Open Heaven 21 June 2026 MESSAGE

Years ago, a pastor prayed and told God that if He gave him ten percent of what I had, he would be satisfied. God told him that if he could do what I do, then he would get what I had. When he asked God about what I had done in the past, God told him that I started with 40 days of fasting. The man told God to leave him as he was because he was not ready to follow that example.

Child of God, to achieve certain results in life, you must follow certain examples as it is only natural to eventually become like those whose lifestyle you emulate. When Elijah was taken up into heaven, Elisha received a double portion of the anointing on Elijah’s life, took Elijah’s mantle, rolled it up, and struck River Jordan. Then, he asked God to part the river as he had parted it for Elijah, and God did so. Elisha followed his father’s example. Paul told the believers at Corinth to follow him as he followed Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). The question is, who are you following? Who are you mimicking? Ephesians 5:1 says that we should be followers of God as dear children.

As we follow God, there are also people of God around us whom we can also follow. Today’s memory verse urges us to follow those who, through faith and patience, inherit the promises. There are patterns and examples you should follow as a child of God. If someone is truly following Jesus Christ, then you are safe when you follow him or her because such a person will lead you to the Lord. God has provided many great examples in His word and has also given us fathers in the faith to emulate as they follow Christ. To truly emulate someone, you must study them closely and watch what they are doing. You cannot emulate people just from little clips you see about them on social media, because there are many things about them that you will miss. Read their books, volunteer to work with them, and study how they approach matters.

Beloved, as you emulate your heavenly Father, also become a good and worthy example to others. Follow Christ so that those emulating you will also find Him. I pray that as you emulate your heavenly Father, He will make you a worthy ambassador for Him, in Jesus’ name.

Open Heaven 20 June 2026 ACTION POINT

Today is Father’s Day. Pray that God will help all fathers to be worthy of emulation.

Open Heaven 21 June 2026 HYMN 24 – I Want To Be Like Jesus

1 I want to be like Jesus,
So lowly and so meek;
For no one marked an angry word,
That ever heard Him speak.

2 I want to be like Jesus,
So frequently in prayer;
Alone upon the mountain top,
He met His Father there.

3 I want to be like Jesus,
I never, never find
That He, though persecuted was
To anyone unkind.

4 I want to be like Jesus,
Engaged in doing good;
So that of me it may be said,
“He hath done what he could.”

5 I want to be like Jesus,
Who sweetly said to all,
“Let little children come to Me,”
I would obey the call.

6 But oh, I’m not like Jesus,
As anyone may see;
O gentle Savior, send Thy grace,
And make me like to thee.
