Dancing with the Stars viewers were left stunned by an unexpected elimination update after Julia Stiles delivered an emotional tribute to her late co-star Heath Ledger during week six of the competition.

The episode featured a special guest judge, with professional ballroom dancer Kym Johnson joining Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli on the panel.

Week six was titled Dedication Night, and several heartfelt performances brought both the live audience and judges to tears.

In a surprise twist, viewers learned that no couples would be eliminated. All 10 remaining pairs will advance to the next round.

Stiles, 45, delivered the episode’s closing performance, dedicating her routine to Ledger. The actors famously appeared together in the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You.

Partnering with professional dancer Ezra Sosa, she performed a contemporary routine to Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”

Wearing a blue dress decorated with shimmering details, the actress moved confidently across the ballroom floor.

As the choreography ended, an image of Stiles and Ledger from the film appeared on a screen behind them.

Stiles was then joined onstage by several of her former castmates from the 1999 movie, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, Andrew Keegan, Gabrielle Union and Susan May Pratt.

The group stood together, looking toward Ledger’s image, before sharing an emotional embrace.

Viewers described the performance as “healing,” while Stiles reflected that Ledger had “brought out the light in everybody.”

Stiles and Sosa earned a score of 36 out of 40 after receiving nines from each of the judges.

Before the performance, a video package showed Stiles discussing her friendship with the late actor as she rehearsed for the routine.

“I learned a lot from Heath,” Stiles told Sosa. “It was so easy with him.”

The actress continued: ‘I have so many great memories. I really wish I could pick up the phone, and be like, “Hey dude.”‘ 

Social media users soon took to X to share their thoughts over the performance, with one penning, ‘The Julia Stiles trib[ute] to Heath Ledger on DWTS…I’m in bits.’ 

Another wrote, ‘JULIA STILES DEDICATING HER DANCE HEATH LEDGER AND THE 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT U CAST IS THERE IM STILL CRYING.’ 

‘Julia Stiles dwts i just cried at work,’ a fan typed, and one added, ‘Julia Stiles dedicating her dance for Heath Ledger. The Poem voiceover, The Rose, and Entire Cast at the end. My Millennial Heart.’

Another said, ‘When I say I literally cried…. I MEAN IT! at the beautiful touchy poem and the whole cast gathered together to honor Heath Ledger OH BEAUTIFUL! JULIA STILES I LOVE YOU.’ 

Olympic figure skater Amber Glenn took to the stage for an emotional contemporary dance in tribute to her sister Brooke, who had been by her side during hard times. 

Glenn was joined by dance partner Pasha Pashkov as they danced to Sia’s track Breathe Me. 

The sports star moved across the floor as her sibling joined in, acting as a figure who was saving her from Glenn’s battle with depression and anxiety. 

The judges offered critical praise over the choreography, while her ‘raw emotion’ in the dance was also applauded. 

Just moments later, Glenn and Pashkov received a near-perfect score of 38/40, which was the best score of the season so far. 

Jenna Dewan joined forces with DWTS pro Alan Bersten, who replaced her partner Val Chmerkovskiy amid his week-long suspension. 

He had been pulled from Dedication Night after he was accused of threatening to slap one of the show’s judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, over his wife Jenna Johnson’s low score on the same show. 

The Step Up actress performed a moving Viennese Waltz routine with Bersten to the track Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers. 

Her mother, Nancy, briefly joined in at the opening before Dewan moved across the floor with her dance partner in a flowy blue dress. 

Following the performance, the judges said that the Hollywood star provided ‘fantastic’ quality and an ‘effortless’ performance. 

Inaba added that Dewan had an ‘ultimate breakthrough’ on the floor. 

Both she and Bersten garnered a score of 37/40 after landing a 10 and three nines from the judges. 

Ezra Frech also stepped onto the ballroom floor with professional dance partner Daniella Karagach. 

The pair also performed a contemporary dance to the song Bloodline by Mon Rovia in dedication to his mother Bahar. 

His mom had the chance to briefly perform with her son, and the performance itself brought out an emotional reaction from the judges. 

Frech was praised for his ‘brilliant lifts’ as well as giving fans and the live audience a performance that was ‘inspiring.’ 

The judges gave Frech and Karagach a score of 37/40, which included a 10 and three nines. 

Harry Shum Jr and his pro dancer partner Jenna Johnson danced the foxtrot to the song Stop This Train by John Mayer.

The Grey’s Anatomy actor dedicated his performance to his wife Shelby, with whom he tied the knot in 2015. 

His parents as well as his daughter also had the chance to join the star on stage as part of the choreography. 

The judges voiced their praise of the actor and his ‘control’ on the floor. 

Shum Jr and Johnson garnered four nines from the judges, which resulted in their score of 36/40. 

Jackson Olson dedicated his dance to his mother alongside pro dance partner Emma Slater. 

The duo performed the Quickstep to the song L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole. 

While the judges reminded the baseball player to focus on his frame in future performances, they added that the dance routine had been ‘so entertaining.’ 

Olson and Slater received four eights, which landed them a final score of 32/40 for the night. 

Maura Higgins dedicated her performance to her home country of Ireland with dance partner Mark Ballas. 

The model and Ballas performed energetic choreography to the Paso Doble, and were joined by a professional Irish dancer for the routine. 

Higgins donned a sparkling green ensemble that contained a train which was made of the colors of the Irish flag. 

The powerful performance was applauded by the judges as ‘amazing’ and ‘fun.’ 

Higgins and Ballas garnered a score of 35/40 after receiving three nines and one eight. 

Tatyana Ali and her professional dance partner Jan Ravnik danced the Viennese Waltz to the song (You Don’t Know) How Glad I Am by Nancy Wilson. 

The actress dedicated her performance to her late Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air co-star James Avery. 

Alfonso Ribeiro, who had also starred on the show in the past, additionally joined the choreography for a special moment. 

Avery had notably played Ali’s on-screen father on the series, and recorded the track that played in the background during the dance this week. 

The judges labeled the performance as ‘Old Hollywood film come to life’ and applauded her ‘easy flow.’ 

Ali and Ravnik garnered a score of 32/40 after receiving four eights. 

Tyler Cameron had a very special moment during his performance with dance partner Sharna Burgess. 

The TV personality dedicated his contemporary routine to all mothers everywhere, including his own late mom. 

During the performance, he was joined by fiancée Tate Madden, and the couple revealed that they are expecting their first child together as a sweet voiceover played in the background. 

‘You would have loved the woman I’m gonna marry,’ he told his mother in the recording as they danced. 

‘All the things that made you special, I found in her. She’s gonna be the most incredible mama, just like you. And we’re gonna have a baby.’ 

Madden showed off her growing baby bump for the live audience and judges before Cameron lifted her up into the air. 

Cameron and his fiancée also unveiled the gender of their little one live on air.

The audience learned that they would be parents to a baby girl as pink confetti rained down. 

Cameron and Burgess received a score of 32/40. 

Connor Wood joined his dance partner Rylee Arnold to perform the Viennese Waltz to the song Piano Man by Billy Joel. 

The star dedicated his routine to his father Pete. 

Following the performance, Hough told Wood that he has ‘come a long way’ while the judges agreed that he is the ‘most improved.’ 

Wood and Arnold received a score of 32/40. 

The next episode of DWTS is set to air on October 27 with the theme of Horror Movie Night.  

A 76-year-old Georgia woman is accused of fatally shooting her ex-husband and his much younger girlfriend after allegedly storming into their trailer home because she objected to their relationship.

Grace Edge was arrested and charged with killing her former husband, 75-year-old Wallace Truman Edge, and his 40-year-old girlfriend, Pamela Cook. The shooting occurred Monday afternoon at a home in Toombs County, Georgia, officials said.

Authorities allege that Edge entered the residence on McNatt Falls Road in Uvalda and opened fire, discharging her gun five times.

Wallace Edge and Cook were struck a combined four times and were pronounced dead at the scene from their gunshot wounds, WTOC reported.

Cook’s 55-year-old mother, Diane Cook, was also inside the home. She called 911 during the attack and was shot in the arm.

“She just come in start shooting,” the older Cook told police during the emergency call, according to the outlet.

The shaken caller said there had been no argument before the gunfire. “No, she come in just shooting,” she told the dispatcher.

Officials said Grace and Wallace Edge had been divorced for more than a decade but continued an on-again, off-again relationship. That relationship reportedly continued until Wallace Edge began dating Cook.

“Mr. Edge had started dating Pamela, and it appears that based on information we received that Grace was not accepting of the situation,” Toombs County Sheriff Jordan Kight told WTOC.

Edge was taken into custody soon after the shooting.

“We believe she had drove straight from the residence where this happened and drove straight here to the sheriff’s office,” Kight said.

Kight also said the former couple had repeatedly called police on one another over alleged domestic disputes and other incidents at their home.

No arrests had been made in any of the previous dozens of reported incidents, according to the outlet.

Edge faces seven charges in connection with the double killing: two counts of malice murder, two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

She remains held at the Toombs County Detention Center and is awaiting her first court appearance, police said.

Former Trump attorney Alina Mildon has condemned The New York Times for implying that her reported $50 million legal position was linked to efforts to obtain a presidential pardon.

In an article published Tuesday, reporter Tyler Pager wrote that Mildon, formerly known as Habba, became general counsel at Concord Partners, a Florida company established by Isabela Herrera in October 2025.

Only weeks after Mildon joined the firm, Herrera’s father, billionaire banker Julio Herrera Velutini, received a presidential pardon from Donald Trump for a misdemeanor campaign finance offense.

People familiar with Mildon’s contract told The Times they believed the family hired her to assist Velutini’s pardon campaign. They also said they were stunned by the value of the compensation package.

Mildon rejected that account in a post on X.

“Big Scoop: After leaving public service, I’ve gone back to doing what I have done for my entire career: being a lawyer,” she wrote sarcastically.

She added that The Times could have reached a different conclusion by reviewing its own reporting, which, she said, had already credited another attorney with achieving the result “without me” while taking credit for it.

“Any insinuation that my employment — all of which has been vetted and disclosed to the DOJ — had anything to do with securing a pardon is false and defamatory,” Mildon wrote.

Federal prosecutors charged Velutini in August 2022 over an alleged scheme to bribe Puerto Rico Governor Wanda Vazquez in an effort to remove a regulator investigating his bank.

Velutini, Vazquez and a former FBI agent who served as a consultant to the banker initially pleaded not guilty to the felony allegations.

Attorney Christopher M. Kise later negotiated an agreement with federal prosecutors. Under the deal, Velutini pleaded guilty in August 2025 to one misdemeanor campaign finance charge.

Vazquez and the former FBI agent subsequently entered guilty pleas to misdemeanor offenses as well.

Despite the reduced charge, Velutini remained concerned that the conviction would damage his record. According to The Times, he then turned to Kise — a former Florida solicitor general and member of Trump’s personal legal team — to pursue clemency.

Around the same period, Velutini’s 27-year-old daughter, Herrera, gave $3.5 million to a pro-Trump super PAC.

While the family was waiting for a decision on the clemency request, it hired Mildon, who was then serving as an adviser to the Department of Justice.

The proposed package paid Mildon $10 million annually for four years, in addition to various bonuses. The Times reported that her total guaranteed compensation exceeded $50 million during her four-year tenure as Concord Partners’ general counsel.

Mildon finalized the agreement with the family just days after Concord Partners was incorporated, while she was still serving as a U.S. attorney in New Jersey.

She was also serving as a senior adviser to then Attorney General Pam Bondi, overseeing US attorneys across the nation as a special government employee, which allows individuals to work for the federal government for up to 130 days and maintain outside employment with conflict of interest restrictions.

In that position, Mildon was granted an office at the DOJ, and due to her position in New Jersey, she had protective detail from US Marshals.

Mildon then resigned from her position as the US Attorney for New Jersey after a panel of federal judges ruled that her appointment to the position was carried out unlawfully.

She then formally began working for Concord Partners on January 1, 2026, the Times reports. Just two weeks later, on January 15, Trump granted the banker a ‘full and unconditional pardon.’

But a spokesperson for the DOJ told the Times that Habba did not speak to anyone about a pardon.

A White House official also told the outlet that Habba had nothing to do with the president’s decision to grant Velutini a pardon – saying that the Trump administration follows a pardon review process that includes the White House Counsel’s Office and the DOJ. 

In her post attacking the outlet for the article, Habba lashed out at the reporter for using her maiden name in the article, calling him an ‘activist “journalist”‘ who has written ‘many hit pieces on me and my family.’

She argued that the paper was using her maiden name for clicks on its stories, calling the move ‘intentional, pathetic and obvious.’

‘I have stayed silent while the media attacked my husband, my friends and me over the past week,’ Mildon continued, mentioning her new husband, 29-year-old Turkish billionaire Turhan Mildon.

‘My entire public career has been dedicated to calling out the radical left and the fake news,’ she noted. ‘Anyone who thought that would change hasn’t been paying attention.’ 

‘We are 14 days away from the election – this is just another October surprise,’ Mildon then argued, as she urged her followers to ‘not let left wing media distract you from the amazing work this president and administration has done.

‘I know this game all too well,’ she concluded.

The Daily Mail has reached out to The New York Times, the DOJ and the White House for comment. 

A Texas family was startled when its doorbell camera recorded a man wearing a Joe Biden mask standing outside the home at night while eating a banana.

The unsettling scene unfolded shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday in Watauga, roughly 10 miles from Fort Worth. The family’s Nest camera captured the unidentified man approaching the front door, WFAA reported.

Barefoot and wearing the Biden mask, the man walked to the entrance and opened his jacket, exposing a T-shirt emblazoned with the word “FREEDOM.” The shirt appeared similar to one Charlie Kirk was wearing when he was assassinated at Utah Valley University in September 2025, according to the video.

He then peeled the banana, nodded and leaned toward the camera, creating an unnerving close-up of the former president’s latex likeness. The man tapped the device twice, apparently attempting to activate the doorbell.

After taking a bite and appearing to look directly into the lens, he turned around and walked away.

The residents reported the incident to Watauga police and provided the video. However, investigators found “no evidence that a criminal offense had occurred,” Police Chief Jim Lewis told WFAA.

Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the masked man, Lewis said.

“Although the individual’s choice of attire and snack may have raised a few eyebrows, neither appears to have violated the law at this time,” Lewis said.

“And while we can’t explain the costume, the banana, or the apparent political identity crisis, we can confirm that being bizarre is not, in itself, a criminal offense.”

Watauga police have since learned of social media posts from other residents describing similar sightings involving the masked individual, WFAA reported.

Police said they did not have any additional video to release.

Lewis emphasized that the department treats such reports seriously and urged residents to continue notifying police about suspicious activity, “even when the circumstances are a little bananas.”

The bizarre doorbell-camera video has prompted a flood of puzzled reactions online.

“This is scary and so confusing at the same time,” one person wrote in a comment on WFAA’s Instagram post.

“Why’s he eating a banana,” another user asked.

“Don’t play with people’s doors. Nothing good will come from it,” a third commenter warned.

The Post has contacted Watauga police for further comment.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, a Republican, commuted the death sentence of a death row inmate Tuesday after Jefferson County’s current district attorney, along with several former judges and prosecutors, questioned the strength of his conviction.

Ivey reduced Toforest Johnson’s punishment to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Johnson, who has consistently maintained that he is innocent, was convicted in the 1995 killing of Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff William Hardy. He is incarcerated at Holman Correctional Facility.

“When presented with Mr. Johnson’s case, I had concerns there was not enough direct evidence to carry out the most serious punishment, death,” Ivey said in a statement. “My decision is not a determination of innocence, but a recognition that the circumstances of this case justify commuting his death sentence to life imprisonment, without possibility of parole.”

Since taking office in 2017, Ivey has commuted the death sentences of three Alabama inmates and presided over 27 executions. Her tenure as governor will end in January because she is barred by term limits from seeking re-election.

The governor granted clemency despite a plea from Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, who urged her last week to reject Johnson’s request and “respect the jury’s decision” as well as rulings from the courts that reviewed the case.

Hardy was shot twice in the head on July 19, 1995, while working an off-duty security job outside a Birmingham hotel. Johnson has said he was across the city when the shooting occurred.

Ty Alper, one of Johnson’s attorneys, said he and his client appreciate Ivey’s “diligently reviewing Toforest’s case and taking action to spare an innocent man from execution.” He added, however, that the legal team will continue pursuing efforts to overturn the conviction.

“Toforest Johnson is innocent. Now it is up to the courts to overturn his conviction and grant him a new trial. We will keep fighting until he is home with his family,” Alper said in a statement.

Johnson’s attorneys have spent years seeking a new trial. The case has drawn national attention and broad support, including from the original prosecutor, prominent attorneys and celebrities such as Kim Kardashian.

A number of former judges and prosecutors have also joined the campaign for a new trial, citing concerns about the conviction. Former Alabama Attorney General Bill Baxley, former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justices Sonny Hornsby and Drayton Nabers, along with other former judges and prosecutors, have filed briefs or published editorials supporting Johnson’s request.

Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr, elected in 2018, is among those backing Johnson’s bid for a new trial. In a 2024 court filing, Carr wrote that “the evidence in this case has unraveled over 20 years.”

Carr said credible alibi witnesses placed Johnson elsewhere when the shooting occurred. He also cited several reasons to question the prosecution’s central witness, who “claimed she overheard Johnson confess to the murder on a three-way phone call on which she was eavesdropping.”

During Johnson’s 1998 trial, the woman testified that she had been listening in on a phone call when she heard a man she believed to be Johnson admit to the shooting.

In 2001, she received a $5,000 reward for her assistance in the investigation.

Johnson’s attorneys have argued that prosecutors withheld evidence showing she had a financial incentive to provide testimony.
