Shanna Moakler’s Unexpected Appearance in Travis Barker’s Documentary Sparks Interest

Travis Barker is set to release a new documentary that delves into seven transformative years of his life, featuring a special appearance by his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.

The documentary, titled Travis Barker: Love Is Louder Than Fear, made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, where Us Weekly was present on Saturday, June 13. At 50, Barker reflects on significant challenges he’s encountered, such as overcoming his fear of flying following a traumatic plane crash in 2008 and his battle with addiction.

Moakler, now 51, appears in the film to discuss their marriage, which spanned from 2004 to 2008. She reminisces about Barker’s admission to her about his intense addiction, revealing he was consuming 20 to 30 painkillers daily. Barker also recounts how his loved ones were so concerned for his well-being that a security guard was tasked with monitoring him as he slept to ensure his safety.

The documentary also includes archival footage from their reality series Meet the Barkers. Their children—son Landon, 22, daughter Alabama, 20, and Moakler’s daughter Atiana, 27, from her relationship with Oscar De La Hoya—also feature prominently in the film.

The relationship between Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler has been tumultuous, marked by custody disputes and accusations of infidelity. They initially separated in 2006 after two years of marriage and the birth of their children, Landon and Alabama. Despite their split, they maintained a complicated on-and-off relationship for two more years until finalizing their divorce.

According to the official synopsis, Travis Barker: Love Is Louder Than Fear follows the musician “as he embarks on a raw and redemptive journey, which started after surviving a devastating plane crash that nearly took his life.”

Barker’s relationship with now-wife Kourtney Kardashian — who was in the audience at the premiere on Saturday — was also documented as the pair recalled the early days of their romance.

While Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s relationship came as a surprise to many, the pair knew each other for years before their whirlwind romance. After Barker spent time with Kardashian at her mom Kris Jenner’s Palm Springs, California, home in January 2021, Us Weekly confirmed that the pair were dating. “Kourtney and Travis are officially […]

The couple revealed that Kardashian got pregnant six months after they started dating in 2021. They were expecting a girl — who they were going to name Tulip — before Kardashian learned at a doctor’s appointment at the three-month mark that their baby no longer had a heartbeat.

“When we lost the baby, we were devastated,” Kardashian said in the documentary. “We cried for days.”

Kardashian broke down the pair’s continued efforts to get pregnant, which included five IVF attempts over eight months. They ultimately decided to press pause on the process before conceiving their son, Rocky, now 22 months.

Travis Barker: Love Is Louder Than Fear premieres on Hulu August 13.

Jamie Laing Opens Up About ‘Weird’ Pregnancy House Rule Imposed by Wife Sophie Habboo as They Anticipate First Child

Jamie Laing has unveiled an unexpected revelation regarding the household regulations put in place by his wife, Sophie Habboo, as they gear up for the arrival of their first child.

The 36-year-old Made In Chelsea alum and his 31-year-old spouse Sophie shared the exciting news of their pregnancy back in June.

Since then, they have been candidly documenting their journey towards parenthood.

Recently, Jamie disclosed one of the stringent guidelines Sophie has set as they prepare their home for the baby’s arrival.

During an appearance on his BBC Radio 1 show on Wednesday, he remarked, “Let me tell you something quite peculiar – we’ve just moved into a new house, which is thrilling, and my pregnant wife has imposed this new house rule.”

‘I tell you what, I will vent on the radio. I hate it. She is not going to be listening.

‘I really don’t like it and I pretend at home that I like it but I don’t.’

Revealing what has been grating him, Jamie shared: ‘The rule is this, I have outdoor clothes and indoor clothes.

‘So when I go out the house, I have to wear my outdoor clothes and when I come back in the house, I have to change into my indoor clothes so I don’t make anything messy.

‘One time she caught me like a rat running upstairs in my outside clothes.’

His radio co-star, Katie Thistleton, questioned him about how the logistics would work as he explained: ‘I come in and I get naked.’

Katie tried to reason with Jamie, as she quipped: ‘Let’s blame the hormones.’

However, Jamie admitted he felt he might have gone a step too far with his confession and worried that Sophie would find out.

‘I am scared if she is listening. I just want everyone to know I love, love wearing indoor clothes,’ he joked.

Meanwhile, Sophie previously revealed on her and Jamie’s newly named podcast NearlyParents, that she has struggled with some aspects of her pregnancy.

She confessed that when her second trimester hit, she felt like she was ‘dying’ and was dealing with a lot of hormones that made her frequently feel irritated.

‘This girl has gone from a bit of a b***h to don’t come near me,’ she quipped.

‘Up until week eight, I was smooth sailing. No good aversions, no sickness, so much energy, I was like what is every talking about this is unbelievable.

‘Week eight hit and everyone’s starting to grate to me a bit. Like that man sat next to me on the plane breathing, like is it illegal if I punch him in the face?’

Bridget Moynahan Commends Tom Brady as Former Couple Celebrates Son Jack’s High School Graduation

Bridget Moynahan gave a special nod to her former partner, Tom Brady, in a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating their son Jack’s high school graduation.

“So proud of our boy Jack,” the 55-year-old actress shared with her followers on Sunday. “We are all excited to see what you do next!” she exclaimed, capturing the pride and anticipation of a parent watching their child step into a new chapter.

Adding a personal touch, the “Sex and the City” star tagged Brady in her post and wrapped it up with the hashtag “#proudparents,” highlighting their unified support despite their past relationship.

The post also included a touching group photo featuring the 18-year-old graduate flanked by his smiling parents, a testament to their continued bond as a family.

Over the weekend, Brady himself expressed his admiration for Jack, calling him “the most precious young man” in the comments. He also shared the same celebratory image in his own Instagram post on Saturday, further showcasing their shared pride.

“One of the proudest days of my life, watching Jack walk across the stage, and graduate into the next chapter of what’s already an impressive life,” the retired athlete, 48, began his Instagram tribute. “You are an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend amongst many other things.”

The seven-time Super Bowl winner went on to praise who the teenager is “when no one is watching” him.

“What makes me happiest is … the way you show up for your friends. The way you check on people having a hard day,” Brady wrote. “The love you give our family, and the fact that you still let me win in 1v1 every once in a while.

“This isn’t an ending. It’s a starting line,” he continued. “Whatever you chase next we know you’ll find success in. Take the risks. Be kind. Be yourself.”

The ex-quarterback finished by reminding Jack his “family and friends are always right behind [him] cheering the loudest because [he does] the same for everybody else!”

Brady concluded, “We love you ❤️❤️❤️.”

He and Moynahan conceived Jack before their three-year relationship ended in late 2006.

By the time Moynahan found out she was expecting, Brady was in a relationship with his now-ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.

Brady and the “Blue Bloods” star have since co-parented their son while moving on separately.

Moynahan wed Andrew Frankel in 2015, while Brady was married to Bündchen for more than a decade — and welcomed two more children — before they divorced in 2022.

In 2019, Moynahan gushed to People about the group’s amicable dynamic raising Jack together.

“We both found partners that not only supported us in raising that child, but also loved our child as if he was their own,” she explained to the outlet at the time. “I don’t think you can ask for more than that. My son is surrounded by love.”

Bethenny Frankel Breaks Age Barriers at SI Swimsuit Show: Redefining Beauty Standards

Bethenny Frankel is embracing her confidence more than ever as the years go by.

At 55, Frankel shared her thoughts exclusively with Us Weekly about being the oldest model to grace the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway on Tuesday, June 9.

“I feel more liberated,” the former star of Real Housewives of New York City expressed to Us on June 9. “I feel joyful, I feel accomplished. It’s like I get bonus points now, and honestly, I don’t think anyone’s bothered by it.”

She added, “Age wasn’t something I thought about until this show. Yes, women often feel overlooked, dismissed, written off. They seem to age out… But this experience has shifted that perspective.”

Frankel admitted that she hadn’t initially realized she was standing up for older women, but she felt honored by the encouragement she received. “People were telling me, ‘You really represented us, you go.’ It’s incredible, and that’s the most important thing,” she shared with Us.

Bethenny Frankel Shuts Down Body-Shamers After Swim Week

Bethenny Frankel isn’t here for haters on her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway moment. Frankel, 55, took to TikTok on Tuesday, June 2, to open up about her “experience” walking in the SI Swimsuit show during Miami Swim Week for the second year in a row. “It is so fun because of the women,” she said. […]

One of the reasons Frankel loves the SI Swimsuit runway so much is because “you see everyone’s confident in their own body shape, size, race, height, ass, boobs, legs, tan,” and more. “That is very empowering,” she explained. “You just fit in.”

“Changing the age construct is so valuable because it’s the biggest thing people are thinking about: anti-aging,” the Bravolebrity added.

As for where her confidence comes from, Frankel shared that it’s a “practice.”

“It’s like a honed craft that you practice, and then it creates more confidence, because you see that it works, because you see that women are so concerned about what they look like,” she said, noting that it’s not only about physical appearance. “Focus on your personality, focus on being entertaining, focus on being smart, commanding a presence, owning a room, being interested,” she advised. “Anybody can be hot now … so just be confident.”

While walking on the runway, Frankel looked her best in a blue-and-white crochet bikini featuring triangle cups and string bottoms. She later changed into a black set complete with sweetheart cups and strappy bottoms.

To prepare for the show, she used Sofwave and PureImpact to look picture-perfect. “I did some of the Sofwave [for skin lifting in her face and body] and PureImpact treatments,” she said of the muscle-toning device that stimulates exercises. “I did that a couple of times before last year’s show, and then before this year’s show. I know that you feel sore after it … I’m doing more than I used to, because everybody got in my head.”

Nara Organics Recalls Baby Formula from Target Amid Widespread Infant Botulism Outbreak

0

In a concerning development, Nara Organics has issued a recall of its organic baby formula, prompted by an outbreak of infant botulism affecting several states. Distributed through Target stores nationwide and available online, this product recall was announced on Saturday by federal authorities.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported that between April and May, three infants aged between 2 to 5 months fell ill after consuming the Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Powdered infant formula. These cases were documented in California, Pennsylvania, and Washington. The affected infants were subsequently hospitalized and received treatment approved by the FDA specifically for infant botulism.

Infant botulism, although rare, is a serious condition that typically affects babies under one year old. This vulnerability is due to their still-developing gut microbiome. The illness occurs when infants ingest bacteria that contain spores capable of producing toxins in the digestive system.

Symptoms of this potentially dangerous condition include constipation, poor feeding, drooping eyelids, weak muscle tone, difficulties in swallowing, and breathing complications. These symptoms signify the severity and urgency of addressing such outbreaks, emphasizing the need for vigilance in infant nutrition safety.

Symptoms include constipation, poor feeding, drooping eyelids, weak muscle tone, difficulty swallowing and breathing problems, among others.

Babies who develop those symptoms need immediate medical attention. The sole treatment is BabyBIG, an IV medication made from blood plasma of people immunized against botulism.

Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Infant Formula makes up less than 1% of all infant formula sold in the United States, and the outbreak does not create shortage concerns for parents and caregivers, the FDA said.

People who have the formula are urged to stop using it immediately, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control said in a statement. The formula is manufactured in Europe but sold only in the U.S., it added.

The CDC recommended that anyone with an opened can take a picture, record the lot number and use-by date and watch their infants for symptoms.

“Label it ‘DO NOT USE’ and keep it stored in a safe place away from other items you feed your baby for at least a month,” the CDC said. “If no symptoms appear after a month, throw the leftover formula away.”

Tragic Incident: Australian Girl Fatally Shot by Police in Pakistan

0

IN BRIEF

  • The girl and her family were visiting relatives when they were allegedly robbed at gunpoint.
  • Mistaking their car for the suspects, police shot and killed the girl and seriously injured her father and brother.

A tragic incident unfolded in Pakistan, resulting in the death of a nine-year-old Australian girl and leaving two of her family members injured after an encounter with local police. The family was reportedly in Chakwal, a city in the Punjab province, to visit relatives when the unfortunate event occurred.

According to local reports, the family found themselves in a frightening situation on Wednesday night. They were in a rental car when they were accosted by two robbers on a motorcycle, one of whom was armed with a pistol. The robbers fled the scene upon being noticed by a police officer, prompting the family to also drive away in a bid to escape the danger.

As the situation escalated, additional police officers arrived at the scene. In a tragic misunderstanding, the police mistook the family’s car for that of the fleeing robbers. Believing they were pursuing criminals, they opened fire on the vehicle.

A police official explained to local media, “As the officers witnessed the vehicle being driven away immediately, they assumed it belonged to the robbers and indiscriminately fired upon it.”

“As the cops saw the vehicle being driven away immediately, they took it as belonging to the robbers and opened indiscriminate fire on the car,” a police official told local media.

The family from the Perth suburb of Kewdale was rushed to hospital, where the girl was pronounced dead.

Her father and older brother were seriously injured, while her mother was unharmed.

The pair were transferred to Benazir Bhutto Hospital in Rawalpindi for surgery.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed it was providing consular assistance to the family of an Australian who was killed and to two Australians who were injured.

“We send our deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time,” a department spokesperson said in a statement.

Pakistani Association of Western Australia general secretary Asim Chaudhry said the incident had left the local community downcast.

“This news is very shocking, especially the death of the nine-year-old,” he told Nine News.

“They just came from the pilgrimage (to Mecca).”

A police investigation is underway.

Tragic Missouri Skydiving Plane Crash Claims 12 Lives: A Heartbreaking Loss for Skydiving Community

0

A Missouri skydiving company is grappling with profound grief following a plane crash that claimed the lives of all 12 people on board. The tragic incident, involving 11 skydivers and their pilot, has left the staff in “shock” and has been described as a “devastating loss” for both the company and the broader skydiving community.

According to a statement from Skydive Kansas City, the ill-fated aircraft was engaged in routine skydiving operations when it crashed shortly after departing from Butler Memorial Airport around noon. The statement, shared with local news station KCTV, highlighted the severity of the tragedy.

“Tragically, all 12 individuals aboard lost their lives in the accident,” the company stated. “This is a devastating loss for everyone connected to Skydive Kansas City and for the wider skydiving community.”

In a compassionate gesture, the company offered its heartfelt condolences to the families of those who perished. They also noted that the names of the victims would be withheld until all next of kin had been informed.

“The entire team is in shock, and the community is close-knit,” the statement said.

Skydive Kansas City said it is cooperating with local authorities, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which is leading the investigation into the crash.

Missouri authorities first announced the deadly crash Sunday, describing it as a “mass casualty” event that left everyone on board dead.

The aircraft, identified by the FAA as a Pacific Aerospace P750, crashed while departing Butler Memorial Airport around 11:35 a.m. local time. The plane was engulfed in flames after impact, though emergency crews were able to extinguish the fire shortly afterward, Bates County Sheriff Chad Anderson said.

The aircraft was carrying 11 skydivers and one pilot, authorities said. Officials noted that many of the passengers were preparing for tandem skydives and were believed to be inexperienced first-time jumpers.

The aircraft turned around shortly after takeoff for reasons that remain unclear before crashing near Business 49 Highway, according to Bates County Emergency Management officials.

Dennis Jacobs, acting airport manager and director of the Bates County Emergency Management Agency, told The Associated Press he suspects the aircraft may have experienced power issues.

“It had just taken off and made a left turn,” Jacobs said. “In my opinion, I think it was losing power, and he was trying to make it over to the highway and land, and he stalled and went down nose first and caught fire.”

Anderson said investigators have found no indication of criminal activity and believe the crash was accidental.

Some family members of the victims were at the airport and witnessed the crash, officials said.

Travis Phippen told KCTV that he was friends with two of the skydivers killed in the crash.

“This group of people, they love life,” he said. “They love experiencing the most life has to offer.”

Phippen said those killed will be remembered not only for their passion for skydiving, but for the impact they had on friends, family and fellow jumpers.

“As much of a tragedy this is, it tells you how much of mark these people have left a mark on end. The good things that they’ve done or the good experiences that you’ve had,” he told the outlet. “That kind of leads that legacy that they’ll leave.”

Skydive Kansas City asked for privacy as the investigation continues, saying its efforts remain focused on supporting those affected by the tragedy and assisting authorities as they work to determine what caused the aircraft to go down.

Heartbreaking TV Cancellations of 2026: Discover the Most Missed Shows

0

As we find ourselves in the midst of 2026, the television landscape has already witnessed a series of gut-wrenching cancellations across both traditional networks and streaming services. Unfortunately, these announcements are likely just the beginning.

Every year, the major players in the entertainment world—ABC, CBS, The CW, FOX, NBC, alongside streaming giants like Apple TV, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock, and Prime Video—conduct a thorough reassessment of their programming. Consequently, this often means bidding goodbye to a host of cherished shows.

This year’s list of axed series includes a dozen that particularly stunned Team Decider. While crafting these cancellation lists, I usually exclude those shows granted a final season renewal, allowing them to wrap up on their own terms. However, 2026 has seen some unexpected series fall into this category, prompting us to make an exception.

The list features both emerging and long-standing broadcast favorites like Stumble and Brilliant Minds, along with streaming treasures such as The Lincoln Lawyer. If your beloved series didn’t make our cut, it doesn’t imply it lacks merit for another season! Share which shows you’re mourning in the comments below.

  • Mickey Haller smiling on 'The Lincoln Lawyer'
    Photo: Netflix

Netflix’s acclaimed legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer—inspired by Michael Connelly’s renowned book series—escalated the stakes in its fourth season. This time, Los Angeles’ top defense attorney, Mickey Haller (played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), faced his most emotional challenge: being wrongfully accused of murdering his client. As Haller and his team crafted a persuasive defense to safeguard his life and reputation, the season stood out for its sharp writing and charismatic ensemble. Garcia-Rulfo solidified his status as one of streaming’s most dependable leading men, while the talented supporting cast, including Becki Newton, Angus Sampson, and Jazz Raycole, enriched the show’s immersive world. Featuring a remarkable guest cast topped by Cobie Smulders in the season finale, and with ample source material remaining, I was eager to watch The Lincoln Lawyer continue for many more seasons. I’m confident the series will conclude on a high note, but it’s hard not to wish it could carry on just a bit longer! — Nicole Gallucci

  • Palm Royale S2
    Photo: Apple TV

You would think Apple TV couldn’t possibly cancel a show with a cast stacked full of comedy legends, right? Well, Palm Royale was not safe from streamers’ egregious cancellations. The series lasted two seasons and told the story of Maxine Dellacorte (Kristin Wiig), a wannabe socialite in 1969 Palm Beach. However, Maxxine has some obstacles to face from the elites from Palm Beach as she tries to become a staple member of the pristine club, The Palm Royale. From creator Abe Sylvia, the short-lived comedy features a supporting cast that includes Allison Janney, Laura Dern, and icon Carol Burnett. Worst of all, the season 2 finale ends on several cliffhangers, and sets up a future where Maxine gets married to Robert (Ricky Martin) in order to have custody of his son, Rafael. However, the last scene suggests Rafael might not be Robert’s legitimate son, setting up an explosive season 3. There is no doubt Apple TV messed up! — Andrew Kilroy

  • Gabriel Basso on 'The Night Agent'
    Photo: Nazim Serhat Firat/Netflix

Netflix’s hit thriller The Night Agent dropped its highly-anticipated third season in February, and while it was sad to watch our favorite Night Agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) find his footing without Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), Season 3 felt like the show’s best yet! The wild, gripping, explosive ride kicked off with Peter tracking down Treasury Agent Jay Batra (Suraj Sharma) who fled to Istanbul with crucial government intel after allegedly killing his boss. As Peter soon learned, Jay didn’t kill his boss. He was simply trying to flag suspicious financial activity linked to a terror attack! And thus, another adrenaline-pumping adventure was born. The Night Agent was another original hit that Netflix decided to dump after its upcoming fourth season, and with so much potential left (and Rose and Peter still separated!!!) we wish the show wasn’t clocking out early! — Nicole Gallucci

There’s nothing on television quite like the unique, thought-provoking Brilliant Minds, inspired by the life of famous neurologist Oliver Wolf Sacks. The medical drama starring Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf, Tamberla Perry, Teddy Sears, and a talented supporting cast tells meticulously crafted, inclusive stories that make dismissed patients feel heard and shines a spotlight on crucial cases. Over the course of its two seasons, Brilliant Minds welcomed brilliant guest stars including the late Eric Dane, who raised awareness of his own real-life ALS condition, and Love on the Spectrum‘s Connor Tomlinson in his acting debut. When I interviewed Brilliant Mind’s lovely showrunner Michael Grassi ahead of the show’s debut, he said, “My hope is that people come to the show and find themselves in it, whether it’s within patients or whether it’s within the doctors.” And they did indeed! I only wish we didn’t have to say goodbye so soon. — Nicole Gallucci

  • Stumble
    Photo: Matt Miller/NBC

While most comedies take a season (or more) to find their footing, it’s comedy shows like Stumble that raise the bar for finding the funny right out of the gate. In this canceled-too-soon comedy starring Jenn Lyon and Taran Killam, a dedicated cheer coach takes on a seemingly hopeless team to try and win a national title after being booted from her previous program by a snake in the grass. What ensues, however, is episode after episode of silly fun set in the fictional town of Heådltston — don’t ask us how to say it, no one really knows — as the team slowly moves from completely out of the conversation to potential contender to serious threat. While each episode is packed with humor, both smart and boldly unserious, it’s the heart in each episode that hits you right in the chest and makes you want more. This is a show that deserved a second season, especially after the Season 1 finale perfectly set it up. Stumble, we will avenge you! — Hope Sloop

  • Stephen Colbert
    Photo: CBS

One of the more controversial cancellations of the past TV season — and one of most unnecessary, in my humble opinion — was the shocking announcement that CBS would be cutting the cord on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for purely financial reasons. While that may or may not be true (and the new people in charge of CBS seem to point toward that being a bit of a lie…), cancelling The Late Show ended a 33-year late night legacy that started in 1993 with David Letterman, before Colbert took the series over in 2015. In a time where late night as a whole seems to be struggling, losing one of the few voices left to help us make sense of the news of the day and the world at large in an entertaining (but still completely real) way is a massive blow. — Angela Tricarico

  • Rue smiling at the end of 'Euphoria'
    Photo: HBO

Yeah, I’ll say it: I’m sad Euphoria is over.

For eight whole weeks, our divided world came together to find out what shenanigans those crazy kids on Euphoria would get up to next. Many people scoff at Sam Levinson’s penchant for provocative storytelling, but I love it because it never fails to elicit a strong reaction. I don’t want to be bored on Sunday night. I want to be engaged. I want to be gasping over rattlesnakes slithering into subterranean coffins and shaking my head at Sydney Sweeney gamely satirizing her own public image. I want to fondly remember the sweet soul that was Angus Cloud and I want to be screaming on social media along with the rest of the world. I want to be entertained.

I know many people are suffering from Bear fatigue, but when the show is at its best, it still manages to deliver a delectable small-screen experience that rivals the prestige show du jour. Is it time for The Bear to end? In my opinion… yes. I’m glad the show’s coming to an organic conclusion instead of force-feeding us a bitter sixth season. The final eight-episode season, which debuts on June 25, will hopefully provide a soothing digestif for fans (okay, okay, I’m 86ing the food puns) while offering closure for Carmy, Syd, Richie, and the rest of the gang. — Josh Sorokach

  • The Neighborhood
    CBS

Many people believe the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood has run its course. The 8 season series has become a household favorite over the 8 years it was airing. However, it is sad to see such a diverse show leave the network. The Neighborhood follows the Johnson family, as they move from their small town in Michigan to a neighborhood that is a bit different than they’re used to. Their neighbors, the Butlers, have very strong opinions on the new people in town. The show tells a beautiful story of unlikely friendships and relevant societal themes in a fun and lighthearted way. With star-studded cast members like Max Greenfield, Cedric the Entertainer, Beth Behrs, and Tichina Arnold, it is no wonder the show got to 8 seasons, but it could have gotten more. Sitcoms can run for 10 plus seasons, and there is so much more that can be juiced from this cast. Watching friendships develop and strengthen. Relationships blossom and bloom. The Neighborhood is a show that could have gone on forever, and it will surely be missed. —Sydney Johnson

  • 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation'
    Photo: MTV / Paramount

Canceling Jersey Shore Family Vacation on MTV is like taking the Mona Lisa out of the Louvre. In 2018, six years after Jersey Shore had seemingly ended for good, MTV revived the franchise with the same beloved cast of partiers. Having traded bottle service for baby bottles, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, DJ Pauly D, Vinny Guadagnino, Sammi Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz Magro, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Deena Cortese, and Angelina Pivarnick spent nine seasons letting viewers follow their adult lives. Of course, it wouldn’t be Jersey Shore without some silly hijinks. Instead of spending their summers partying in Seaside and working at the Shore Store, this spinoff sent the iconic group on mini-vacations across the country, allowing for plenty of GTL, prank wars, and chaos along the way. With the cast eager to find Jersey Shore Family Vacation a new home for future seasons, MTV is clearly making a mistake by pulling the plug on a franchise that still has plenty of life left. — Samantha Nungesser

  • The Way Home S3
    Photo: Hallmark Channel

A time-travel drama in which several generations of a family have the power to swiftly pass through to specific points in history via jumping into a pond might seem far-fetched. In fact, it is far-fetched. But when that series is anchored by powerhouse performances from the likes of Chyler Leigh and Andie MacDowell, far-fetched can just so easily become a fan-favorite. The Way Home has captivated Hallmark Channel loyalists and viewers new to the network alike, as it channels music to not only evoke particular eras like the 1920s or 1970s, but also spotlight breakout stars like Sadie Laflamme-Snow. Fans remember where they were—or rather, in the spirit of the show, when they were—when Hallmark announced that Season 4 of The Way Home would be its last. But fortunately, the entire series (sans the finale, which airs on June 21) is available to stream on Hallmark+, with Season 4 set to eventually also hit Netflix. — Alex Vena

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: “To paraphrase the great Nicole Kidman in her iconic AMC ad: We come to this show…for magic. We come to Emily in Paris to laugh, to cry, to howl in the group chat. Because we need that, all of us — that indescribable feeling we get when Lily Collins appears on-screen in another ridiculously extra outfit. And we go to a Paris we’ve never been to before; not just entertained, but somehow reborn. Together. Dazzling delusions, on a small TV, laptop, or phone screen. Joie de vivre that I can feel. Somehow, heartbreak feels good in a place like this. Our heroes feel like the most chaotic part of us, and stories feel imperfect and imagined. Because here, they are. Darren Star. He makes ‘compulsively watchable TV.’” No one is arguing that Emily in Paris is prestige TV, but it’s a top-tier comfort watch. Coming up on Season 6, the show has lived a long, wonderful life. Some might say too long! But the series is a Netflix staple, and I, for one, will miss the reliable, stylish escape. — Nicole Gallucci

Study Reveals Florida Ranks Low on Patriotism Scale Among U.S. States

In a recent WalletHub study, Florida has found itself near the bottom of the list when it comes to patriotism, ranking as the 46th most patriotic state in the nation. This assessment places the Sunshine State just above Arkansas, which landed in the last spot.

Patriotism manifests in various forms—whether by proudly displaying the national flag, attending civic parades, casting votes, serving in the military, or dedicating efforts to community betterment. The study by WalletHub delved into these expressions, evaluating states based on 13 key indicators.

These indicators ranged from the number of military enlistees and veterans within a state to the proportion of adults participating in the 2024 presidential election and those involved in AmeriCorps volunteer programs. Such metrics provide a comprehensive view of how patriotism is reflected in daily life across the United States.

WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo highlighted that the most patriotic states are characterized by a significant number of residents with military service experience, high voter turnout during elections, and an active volunteer community. Interestingly, Lupo pointed out that patriotism is not confined to any single geographical area, as the leading states are spread across diverse regions.

“The most patriotic states have a lot of residents who serve or have served in the armed forces, high voter turnouts during elections, and a high share of the population volunteering with national or local organizations. Patriotism also isn’t concentrated in any one particular area – the top states are located in vastly different geographic regions,” Chip Lupo, WalletHub analyst said.

Virginia was ranked first as the most patriotic state in America, with Montana coming in second.

Virginia was on top of the list because for every 100,000 civilians in Virginia, there are nearly 1,761 active-duty military personnel, and they have a higher voter turnout, with 72.9% of residents having voted in the 2024 presidential election, according to WalletHub.
