Rarely seen photographs of Steve Irwin from 1989 have emerged, capturing the legendary Crocodile Hunter at a young age — and revealing an unmistakable resemblance to his son, Robert.

The striking images were posted by Rellie May Photography last Friday and show the wildlife conservationist catching a crocodile at Dalbeg in North Queensland when he was 27 years old.

In the black-and-white shots, Irwin — who died in 2006 at the age of 44 — is seen handling the reptile in his familiar khaki shirt and shorts, with a cigarette in hand.

Long before he became a global television star, he cut a more rugged figure, wearing a mullet and covered in dirt as he worked in the mud alongside local residents.

Yet the archival photos also underline the remarkable likeness between Steve and his 22-year-old son Robert.

“Today on the 20 year anniversary of Steve Irwin’s death we decided we would share a few of the scarce photos we have of the time Steve spent catching crocs in Dalbeg North Qld,” the photography account wrote alongside the images.

“This is a rather large croc that was called Bogie and was caught near the junction of the Burdekin River and Bogie River,” the caption continued beside an image of Steve posing with the restrained animal.

“On this day people travelled from Ayr to catch a glimpse of the elusive crocodile from the Burdekin River. They were not often seen in those days.

“Special memories of the fun times. A few of the locals are hunting the wild blue yonder with Steve too.”

‘A story or two over the bar at the Dalbeg Inn to be remembered by many. A memorable night when Steve talked down a disagreement between two locals. Best talker ever.’

It comes after Steve’s widow Terri Irwin marked the 20th anniversary of his death last Friday with a heartbreaking message on Instagram.  

‘After 20 years, grief still walks with me like my shadow,’ wrote Terri, 62, who, with her children, Bindi, 28, and Robert, continues to carry out her husband’s legacy at Australia Zoo and wildlife conservation work.

‘With the passing of time I have gained more perspective and understanding,’ she added.

Steve’s death on September 4, 2006, was a freak accident caused by an unpredictable encounter with a large stingray.

He had been snorkeling in shallow water at Batt Reef, off the coast of Australia, while filming the documentary Ocean’s Deadliest. 

Steve swam near the stingray, which suddenly reacted and struck him with its barb, piercing his heart.

Despite his crew’s quick response and CPR efforts, the injury proved fatal. Steve was 44.

Terri also reflected on the last time the whole family was together before tragedy struck.

‘We were together as a family, on our crocodile research expedition, for what was to be our final six weeks together. Ours was to be a long and sweet goodbye,’ she remembered in her post.

‘Steve spent time with Bindi and Robert building swings and climbing trees. We all slowed down. Time slowed down. I believe that all of us, every one of us, gets to say goodbye. We just may not know that we’re saying it. Hold every moment dear with the ones you love. Until we meet again.’

Terri has not remarried and previously shared she doesn’t plan on finding another partner, despite rumours linking her to the likes of Paul Hogan, the late Hulk Hogan and Russell Crowe – rumours she has denied.

‘I have kept track because it’s kind of funny… let’s see, apparently it’s all the Hogans—that’s Paul and Hulk; Russell Crowe, and most recently, it’s Richard Wilkins,’ she told People in 2021.

‘I think the most flattering would be Russell because he is such a good person, and a very good friend to our family, and I actually do really love him because he loved Steve and they were such good friends.’

Terri kept firm on that line, telling Us Weekly in 2024: ‘I totally got my happily ever after. And while there are a lot of wonderful men in the world, can you see another Steve Irwin? I just can’t.’

Steve and his wife developed Australia Zoo and their conservation empire by merging a small reptile park – established by his parents in 1970 – with television fame and Irwin’s energetic personality.

The Crocodile Hunter was a massive global television hit that aired from 1996 to 2004 and turned Steve into a household name.

Since his death, Terri has carried on Steve’s legacy by expanding their wildlife conservation missions, running the Australia Zoo, and steering Wildlife Warriors, their non-profit international conservation organisation, all with the help of Robert and Bindi and Bindi’s husband Chandler Powell.

When Milo Yiannopoulos appeared on Piers Morgan’s programme this month after being deported from the US to Britain, he portrayed himself as a “successful millionaire” with a steady job, living in Los Angeles with his husband and their two much-loved cats.

However, the Daily Mail reports that the British provocateur’s private life was in turmoil, a stark contrast to the settled domestic routine he said had been abruptly taken from him.

His husband, John McKinley Campbell, 42, filed for divorce last year, while their two Bengal cats, Bear and Scrappy, have become central to a bitter dispute in Los Angeles Superior Court.

In court documents, Campbell alleges that Yiannopoulos, 41, was violent and racially abusive during their nine-year marriage. Campbell claims Yiannopoulos called him a “stupid worthless n****r” and told him: “I pay. You obey.”

The filings contain a series of troubling text messages allegedly sent by Yiannopoulos, including purported threats to kill Campbell and an alleged admission that he had used him to secure a Green Card. Yiannopoulos has strongly denied the allegations.

The former Trump supporter who later became a critic was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers at New Orleans Airport, Louisiana, late last month on accusations that he had overstayed his visa. Laura Loomer, a MAGA activist and former friend, said she alerted ICE and described his deportation as a victory for the country.

The Department of Homeland Security shared a photograph on social media showing an unshaven and dishevelled Yiannopoulos, part of a series of arrest images the agency has released while promoting its immigration enforcement crackdown.

Days later, Yiannopoulos told Morgan that he would fight his removal. He maintained that he had been legally living in the US through his husband’s Green Card sponsorship and argued that his true transgression was breaking with the MAGA movement he had once supported.

But alleged messages included in court records obtained by the Daily Mail seem to tell a much darker story about the marriage Yiannopoulos says entitled him to live and work in America.

In one message, Yiannopoulos appeared to offer Campbell $100,000 to complete his Green Card paperwork, including sitting through a joint interview with immigration officials.

During an argument over text dated to February 2025, Yiannopoulos allegedly wrote: ‘F**k you. Stupid worthless n****r. I hope you rot in hell with your m****y ancestors.’

‘I was only using you for a Green Card in the first place,’ the message continues.

The US Green Card lets the foreign spouse of a US citizen or permanent resident live and work in America, though there are additional rules and multiple stages to the process.

Campbell filed for divorce at Los Angeles Superior Court in January 2025 after the couple wed in Hawaii in 2017.

According to the filings, the pair lived an extraordinarily lavish lifestyle across luxury properties in New Jersey, Virginia, and finally Los Angeles, enjoying five-star vacations, designer Louis Vuitton clothing, and wagyu steak dinners at the exclusive Bel Air Hotel.

They lived in a historic $7.5 million property, known as the Garbutt House, that has become home to an eclectic cast of high-profile guests over the years, including associates of the rapper Kanye West, who now goes by Ye.

Their hilltop mansion’s driveway reportedly housed an eye-watering supercar collection, including a 2018 McLaren 570S Spider, a 2019 Aston Martin Vantage, a Porsche Taycan 4S, and a Tesla Cybertruck.

But according to court documents, by 2022 the marriage was on the rocks, with the couple arguing about money in emails to each other.

Campbell called it a relationship of ‘enslavement, not matrimony,’ alleging Yiannopoulos was violent, abusive, and prone to terrifying fits of rage in their later years together.

Yiannopoulos shoved him several times, threw a lamp and other objects, and threatened to beat, poison and kill him, the court filings allege.

Campbell claims in his court filings that Yiannopoulos insisted he alone financed their pampered lifestyle and therefore expected total obedience in return.

‘I pay. You obey,’ Yiannopoulos allegedly wrote in a 21 August 2023 text message included as a screengrab within the court filings.

‘Get used to it if you want your carefree lifestyle to continue,’ the message reportedly continued, according to the documents.

Campbell alleges that financial abuse was his estranged husband’s ‘calling card.’

At one point, Yiannopoulos allegedly ordered Campbell to leave their marital bed and sleep in the basement, where there was no air conditioning or plumbing.

Yiannopoulos then began sharing their bedroom with a ‘model,’ Campbell alleged in his filing.

The home was ‘disharmonious, borderline hostile,’ he said, but he had become financially trapped to the conservative influencer.

‘In September 2025 he locked me out of our marital home and revoked access to funds for everyday living, rendering me utterly homeless for a period of over 90 days,’ he claimed.

The divorce file also highlights a tug-of-war over the couple’s two Bengal cats., which were registered as emotional support animals.

‘I chose Scrappy. I paid for him. I pay for him now,’ Yiannopoulos asserted in one alleged message.

‘You merely collected him and asserted that they were both yours. They’re not.’

Yiannopoulos vehemently denies all of Campbell’s allegations. He says in his court filings that the text message screengrabs are forgeries, created by Campbell after he gained access to one of Yiannopoulos’ devices.  

The allegations of violent abuse are ‘fantastical and false,’ he added.

Yiannopoulos said he had lavished more than $5.5 million in cash, gifts, career assistance, housing and other support for his husband over the years, including on their luxury $37,000-a-month luxury digs.

He claims that Campbell is a manipulative spouse who has already received millions and is using domestic-violence and family-court proceedings to keep the money flowing.

According to Yiannopoulos, the couple had not been intimate for years and Campbell withdrew affection for him as far back as 2022.

He says Campbell is ‘in the grip of a mental health crisis’ for which he ‘wrongly and regrettably blames’ Yiannopoulos.

Also in his filings, he accused Campbell of using Yiannopoulos’ immigration situation as leverage because their marriage was connected to his ability to remain in the US.

In an email to the Daily Mail, Yiannopoulos called his estranged husband’s claims ‘forgeries, plus fabrications and manipulations designed to extract millions of dollars from me.’

The case is ongoing, with new documents filed as recently as September 4.

The episode marks a steep fall for a man who spent nearly a decade as one of America’s most notorious right-wing provocateurs.

He rose to prominence as a Breitbart editor and enthusiastic Donald Trump backer during the 2016 campaign, but was banned from major platforms in 2017 after video surfaced of him appearing to defend relationships between men and underage boys.

Yiannopoulos at the time apologized for his past statements, but also said he had been misrepresented.

More recently he worked with Marjorie Taylor Greene and joined Ye’s business ventures, aligning himself with figures such as Candace Owens who had also broken from mainstream conservatism.

After declaring himself ‘ex-gay’ in 2021, he announced plans to open a conversion therapy facility in Florida aimed at steering others away from homosexuality. It never appears to have opened.

His business ventures now appear to have collapsed alongside the marriage. His Tarantula Management talent agency appears shuttered, while the phones and website for his Washington government affairs firm, Earhart Turner, sit offline.

Still, he claims to have nearly $5 million stashed away in his Wells Fargo account, and told Morgan he is working full time for Ye from the UK.

A former associate who briefly worked with Yiannopoulos, speaking on condition of anonymity, described him as a ‘silly showman’ who had burned bridges and ghosted people throughout his career – including, after a handful of meetings, the associate himself.

By the time of his arrest, the source said, Yiannopoulos had become a genuinely isolated figure.

‘I think that MAGA was right to deport him, for sure,’ he told the Daily Mail. ‘He’s been kicked out with the dirty bathwater.’

Given years of outrageous posting and a rapidly shrinking circle of friends, he suggested Yiannopoulos had simply become an irritant the Trump administration no longer wanted to tolerate.

‘He should have seen that coming.’

The Daily Mail reached out to Campbell and Ye for comment.

President Donald Trump’s childhood home in New York has sold for nearly $2 million following a million-dollar renovation that revived the long-neglected property, once known for its feral cat problem.

An unidentified buyer purchased the five-bedroom house in Queens’ upscale Jamaica Estates neighborhood for $1.93 million in July. The sale price was disclosed Friday, according to The New York Post.

Trump lived in the Tudor-style residence during his earliest years. His father, developer Fred Trump, built the home in 1940, and the family remained there until Trump was four before relocating to a larger nearby house.

For years, neighbors viewed the property as an eyesore after it stood vacant and appeared to suffer a series of setbacks, including burst pipes and an attempted break-in.

‘It brought down the value of all the homes in the neighborhood,’ Spencer Gale, who has lived on the block for the past 25 years, told The Daily Mail last year.

The house has now received an East Wing-style transformation, with designers describing its updated look as a fresh ‘Manhattan modern’ aesthetic.

The nearly $2 million sale represents a substantial gain for seller Tommy Lin, who bought the property for $835,000 last year — nearly $1.1 million less than its eventual sale price.

When Lin acquired it, the home had been listed for $2.3 million despite being characterized as a wreck, with a leaking roof, an overgrown lawn, flooding, block-wide power outages and a colony of feral cats inside.

Lin, a developer, decided the risk was worth taking, previously revealing to Mansion Global: ‘The only reason I took on this project was because it’s Trump’s childhood house.’

He spent $500,000 and eight grueling months gutting and reviving the interior, outfitting the home with a chef’s kitchen, herringbone wood floors and spa-like bathrooms. 

On Friday, Joe Zhu of RE/MAX Edge told The Post that the home ultimately sold over the summer for $70,000 below its most recent $1.99 million asking price. 

Even after the extensive makeover, the property’s connection to the President remained a major draw for buyers, with some also attracted by the chance to own a piece of history, Zhu said. 

‘There were quite a lot of people interested,’ he told the outlet.

But the roughly 3,100sq ft residence at 85-15 Wareham Place is almost unrecognizable from the rundown property Lin found in 2025, after it had changed hands several times in recent years.

In 2016, shortly after the presidential election, a retired engineer who lived in the home sold it to real estate developer Michael Davis for $1.14 million, according to property records.

The following year, just months after Trump was elected president, Davis flipped the property, selling it to an entity called Trump Birth House LLC for $2.14 million. 

It remains unclear who was actually behind the LLC, which has only been traced to New York-based lawyer Michael X Tang, who signed the paperwork. 

Under the LLC’s ownership, the property was listed on Airbnb for about five months, with some renters described as college-age students and Trump supporters who hosted ‘late-night booze-fueled parties,’ a neighbor told the Daily Mail last year.  

The bizarre Airbnb charged Trump fans up to $725 a night to stay in his childhood home, with the listing claiming it was where the president was conceived.

Inside, guests were greeted by life-sized cardboard cutouts of Trump, copies of his book The Art of the Deal and a framed People magazine cover featuring the president. 

Davis reportedly continued running the business while renting the property from the LLC for $4,000 a month, according to The New York Times.

By mid-2019, Trump Birth House was trying to unload the property, putting it up for auction with Paramount Realty USA for $2.9 million. But the house failed to sell, the outlet reported.

From there, the property sat abandoned for nearly a decade.

Last year, neighbors exclusively told the Daily Mail they had endured years of flooding, power outages, pests and even intruder scares while living beside the President’s childhood home.

A September 2018 heatwave was made even more miserable for neighbors when an electrical fault at the Trump house knocked out their air-conditioning, television and internet. 

In 2020, the auction company behind the property’s 2016 and 2017 sales launched a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of the LLC, dubbed ‘Thank You President Trump.’ 

The apparent goal was to buy the house and hand it over to the President. ‘What happens to the historic property is up to him!’ the campaign description read. 

But the plan went nowhere, as one setback after another continued to trouble the home. 

That same year, a burst pipe in the attic bathroom sent water pouring into nearby homes, a neighbor told the Daily Mail. The damage was so severe that hazardous mold eventually spread from floor to ceiling. 

Another neighbor told the Daily Mail that two men allegedly attempted to break into the property in August 2024, with security footage showing them walking around the home.

The men appeared to try forcing open the front door after failing to get inside through a window, according to neighbors who witnessed the incident. They eventually fled when they could not gain entry.

The attempted break-in left families in the neighborhood, particularly those with young children, feeling unsafe.

One fed-up resident was so frustrated by the state of the property that they created an X account to document its decline and attract a buyer who would actually take care of it.

His account featured photos of notices and citations from the Department of Sanitation, Con Edison and other city agencies plastered across the home’s front door.

Other images showed the front yard swallowed by overgrown grass and weeds, twisted branches and piles of leaves. The neglect became so dire that some neighbors resorted to hiring a landscaper themselves.

The property’s 2025 makeover finally brought its long-running saga to a close. 

One neighbor who spoke to the Daily Mail last year was ecstatic that the home had been renovated and was heading back on the market.

‘I am happy it has been taken from the absolutely disgusting conditions. It looked like an abandoned, haunted home,’ the neighbor said.

‘It didn’t have the appeal it used to have when owners lived in there. It was sad to see it in the condition it was left in. You had animals living there – raccoons and stray cats. The front yard and back yard became a big litter box,’ they added.

‘Although it is not the look of the neighborhood, it is rentable, sellable and in good shape at this point; I am happy with that.’

Another local said the timing was ironic, telling the Daily Mail: ‘Trump’s childhood home is going on the market as he is putting a bulldozer to the East Wing of the White House and removing part of history.’

The home initially returned to the market for $2.3 million before being pulled and later relisted. After another price cut, it was asking just under $2 million when it finally found an unidentified buyer this summer. 

The President, now 80, built his fortune in real estate, putting his name atop Manhattan’s Trump Tower and living there for decades before turning his fame and wealth toward politics.
