In the face of her mother’s unexpected breast cancer diagnosis, Kai Trump, the eldest grandchild of the president, is receiving an outpouring of support from her family.

Recently, the family gathered in New York City to celebrate Kai’s graduation from the Benjamin School, a prestigious college preparatory institution in South Florida with an annual tuition of $41,600.

On Wednesday, 19-year-old Kai took to Instagram Stories to share a heartfelt image of herself with her mother, proudly donning her blue cap and gown.

Accompanying the photo, she expressed her admiration, captioning it, “The strongest person I know.”

Kai also posted a video capturing her preparations for the graduation ceremony, featuring her mother’s poignant comment: “I can’t believe she’s graduating today.”

The mom-of-five, who is dating golf legend Tiger Woods, made the admission in her own Instagram post, saying she had undergone a ‘procedure’ this week.

‘I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids and those closest to me. Thank you for your kindness and support, it truly means more than I can express.’

She also asked for privacy while she focused on recovering. 

Ivanka was the first member of the family to express support on social media. 

‘Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama,’ she commented on Vanessa’s Instagram post.

Vanessa’s announcement came as Woods, a 15-time Majors champion, completed an intensive rehabilitation program in Zurich.

He had been charged with driving under the influence following a car crash near his home in Jupiter, Florida on March 27. 

Police reportedly found prescription opioid pills in his possession at the time of the arrest, which he had been using to manage chronic injury pain. Woods has pleaded not guilty to DUI.

The golfer has since left rehab early to attend Kai’s graduation ceremony.

And despite his arrest and rehab trip, a source has told People that she remains head over heels for Tiger.

‘Vanessa and Tiger are in love, still serious, and happy to see each other,’ the insider is quoted as saying.

‘[She] is eager to help him continue with his progress and move beyond any more public scandals — which they both dislike intensely.’

A week after his incident, she shared a loved-up photo of them together on Instagram and wrote: ‘Love you’. 

Nevertheless, the Daily Mail later confirmed that Vanessa was adamant Woods needed thorough professional help and wouldn’t stand for history repeating itself once more.

An Arizona resident is now facing federal charges after authorities allege he attempted to set fire to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility using a propane tank and a torch to start a blaze inside the building.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona has announced that Gerardo Mendoza-Acoltzi, hailing from Avondale, has been indicted by a federal grand jury. The charges include malicious damage to federal property and intentional destruction against U.S. government property.

According to court documents, Mendoza-Acoltzi is accused of breaking a window at the ICE facility and attempting to ignite the structure shortly after 1 a.m. on February 21, 2026.

Federal investigators have revealed that surveillance footage captured Mendoza-Acoltzi arriving at the scene just before midnight. The video reportedly shows him unloading a propane tank near the building’s main entrance. The prosecutors claim he later returned, shattered a lobby window with the tank, and used a torch attached to the tank to set window shades within the building ablaze.

FBI Launches Investigation into Criminal Damage at Federal ICE Facility in Arizona

Investigators also alleged Mendoza-Acoltzi arranged rocks outside the facility to spell an anti-ICE message before leaving the area.

Federal prosecutors said Mendoza-Acoltzi was arrested May 7 and made his initial appearance in federal court shortly afterward.

Fox News previously reported that the FBI was investigating “significant criminal damage” at the federal ICE warehouse facility after vandals targeted the property with anti-law enforcement graffiti and damaged windows.

Federal officials have increasingly warned about threats and attacks targeting immigration enforcement facilities and personnel amid heightened tensions surrounding border security and deportation operations.

The Arizona case comes amid heightened concerns over threats targeting immigration enforcement and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) facilities nationwide.

Days before the Arizona incident, state and federal authorities launched an investigation into an attempted arson attack at a DHS office building in Meridian, Idaho.

The suspect allegedly stole an ambulance from a bay at St. Luke’s West hospital, drove it through a parking lot and retrieved gas cans that had been staged in nearby vegetation, according to Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea.

The suspect then drove the ambulance into the North Portico building, which houses DHS offices, Basterrechea said at the time.

Investigators believe the suspect poured an accelerant inside and around the outside of the ambulance but was unable to ignite it before being interrupted by responding officers.

“There has been a lot of rhetoric surrounding the Department of Homeland Security leasing office space at this location,” Basterrechea said. “Comments on social media, such as ‘property damage isn’t violence,’ is absolutely false. This was absolutely an act of violence, and if the suspect had not been interrupted, there is no doubt this building would have been burned, putting the lives of first responders and others at risk.”

The charges against Mendoza-Acoltzi are allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Bruce Springsteen took the spotlight on Stephen Colbert’s second-to-last “Late Night” episode on Wednesday, swiftly taking aim at his long-standing adversary, President Trump, as well as CBS’s parent company, Paramount Skydance.

“I’m here to support Stephen tonight because you’re the first guy in America to lose your show due to a president who can’t handle humor,” Springsteen remarked to the audience shortly after his introduction.

He continued, “And also, because Larry and David Ellison feel they need to pander to him to get what they want,” referring to Paramount’s CEO and his son.

The 76-year-old rock icon then delivered a performance of “Streets of Minneapolis,” a song he released in January as a tribute to Alex Pretti and Renee Good, anti-ICE protesters who lost their lives during Trump-era immigration enforcement in the city.

Despite being a frequent critic of both Colbert and Springsteen, Trump has not yet commented on the performance.

Colbert’s nearly 11-year “Late Show” run will come to a close on Thursday, after more than 1,800 episodes on CBS since he took over from David Letterman’s nearly two-decade reign in 2015.

CBS parent Paramount was sold to Skydance for $8.4 billion in August 2025 after a long, messy negotiation process. David Ellison, the former CEO of Skydance Media, was named CEO of Paramount Skydance after the merger.

The move came a month after CBS announced its plan to cancel “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

The network has denied that political motivations fueled the decision, maintaining that the move was purely financial, given the show’s reported $40 million annual loss.

Critics, including Letterman and fellow late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, have remained skeptical of the reasoning, particularly given Paramount’s efforts to secure regulatory approval for the Skydance deal.

Trump has long celebrated the cancellation of Colbert’s show.

“Stephen Colbert is a pathetic trainwreck, with no talent or anything else necessary for show business success,” the president wrote on Truth Social late last year.

Donald Trump announced that negotiations with Iran were nearing completion, while Iranian officials dismissed any notion of a forced capitulation as “an illusion.”

As tensions remained high, Trump maintained a precarious relationship with Iran, marking nearly three months since the United States initiated military actions against the nation.

Speaking at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday, the President remarked, “We’ll either reach an agreement, or we might have to take some unpleasant actions, which I hope we can avoid.”

He further commented, “We’re in the final stages with Iran. We’ll see how things unfold.”

Earlier that day, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed on social media that Iran remained open to dialogue.

‘Iran has consistently honored its commitments and explored every avenue to avert war; all paths remain open from our side,’ he wrote. 

However, he also warned that they would not be brought to heel by their enemies.  

‘Forcing Iran to surrender through coercion is nothing but an illusion. Mutual respect in diplomacy is far wiser, safer, and more sustainable than war.’

The President downplayed any tensions that had come from the call in which the two leaders reportedly clashed.

‘It’s fine, he’ll do whatever I want him to do, he’s a very good man. Don’t forget, he was a wartime prime minister and he’s not treated right in Israel in my opinion,’ Trump said. 

Trump also quipped that his approval rating in Israel is at 99 percent and that he might try to run for prime minister next. 

‘Maybe after I do this, I’ll go to Israel, run for prime minister.’ 

Trump and Netanyahu allegedly clashed over striking Iran in a ‘dramatic’ overnight phone call, hours after a failed plot to topple Tehran’s regime in the war’s opening days was exposed.

The call was described as ‘lengthy and dramatic,’ according to Israel’s Channel 12.

The Israeli outlet noted that Netanyahu increasingly doubts further negotiations with Tehran will yield a peace deal and wants to resume military strikes.

The discussion came hours after the New York Times revealed that Israel, with Trump’s approval, went into the war with an ‘audacious’ plan to install hardline former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Iran’s new leader after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the opening strikes. 

The plot collapsed on day one when Ahmadinejad was wounded by an Israeli strike on his Tehran home meant to free him from house arrest, and he hasn’t been seen since.

Ahmadinejad, who had fallen out with the Ayatollah, was known during his 2005 to 2013 presidency for calling to ‘wipe Israel off the map.’ He also backed Tehran’s nuclear program, and violently crushed civilian dissent.

‘The failed plans for Ahmadinejad just further proves that there is no good leader within the current ranks of their government. There is no Delcy Rodriguez in Iran,’ a US official involved in the US-Iran negotiations told the Daily Mail.

A close associate of Ahmadinejad told the New York Times that the US wanted the former Iranian president to ‘play a very important role’ in the country’s leadership. 

The US viewed him as a potential parallel to Delcy Rodriguez, who took power in Venezuela after US forces seized Nicolas Maduro and has since worked closely with the Trump administration.

Ahmadinejad believed that the strike was an attempt to free him, and that Washington viewed him as capable of leading Iran, according to the associate.

The strike on his property destroyed a security outpost near Ahmadinejad’s home. Days later news outlets reported that the former Iranian president had survived the bombing but that his ‘bodyguards’ were killed. 

The bodyguards were, in fact, members of the regime’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, tasked with protecting Ahmadinejad but also holding him under house arrest. 

Following their deaths from the Israeli strike, Ahmadinejad became ‘disillusioned’ with the regime-change plan and cut off communication with western intelligence, according to the Times.

Israeli strikes on the war’s first day killed Ayatollah Khamenei at his Tehran compound and wiped out a meeting of senior Iranian officials. 

Some of the officials killed in the Israeli strike had been identified by the White House as more willing to negotiate with the US than the current hardline regime.

It remains unclear how exactly Israel and the US planned to install Ahmadinejad to power after freeing him from house arrest.

Trump claims the Iran war’s objectives are narrowly focused on eliminating Tehran’s nuclear capabilities, seizing its uranium enrichment stockpile, and dismantling the regime’s ballistic missiles.

But the revelation of the US-Israeli plan to install Ahmadinejad undercuts that line and suggests they had also hoped to put more pliable leadership in Tehran.

The New York Times previously reported that shortly prior to launching the war, Trump’s cabinet warned the President that killing Khamenei would not spark regime change. 

CIA Director John Ratcliffe called the idea ‘farcical’ and Secretary of State Marco Rubio dismissed it as ‘bullshit.’ 

Netanyahu had assured Trump in a private February 11 briefing that the war could topple Tehran’s leadership, an assessment Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine later told the President Israel had ‘oversold.’

A tragic incident unfolded in Palatine, Illinois on Wednesday when a construction worker lost his life after falling from a roof in the northwest suburbs.

Authorities reported that the accident occurred around 3:48 p.m. on West Mahogany Court.

Emergency personnel arrived swiftly in response to the report of a worker falling from a roof. Upon arrival, they found a 40-year-old man unresponsive, according to Palatine police. Sadly, he was declared dead on the spot, and his identity has not yet been disclosed.

The worker’s peers were left in shock as the tragedy unfolded at the Groves of Palatine, an upscale condominium complex that is about 20 years old and was undergoing roof renovations.

“Saw the rope whip in the air, and I saw him halfway down and. for us too, for us to lower our ourselves down… we had to remove a latch and it was not that easy… it was just in a matter of seconds,” a coworker said. “There was a rope, but I don’t know if he didn’t latch it on right I don’t know. I mean, like I said, everything happened in seconds. I immediately went into shock, obviously it was just an unfortunate accident.”

ABC7 talked to other members of the crew, including the brother of the deceased, who said that the team was proud to work together on the complex. No, police tape surrounds what was a busy construction site.

No further information about the incident was immediately available as local officials and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, continue to investigate.

A woman has been taken into custody following allegations that she beheaded a Jesus statue at a Catholic church on Long Island, according to local authorities.

Identified as 41-year-old Deyonna Subert, who police referred to as “undomiciled,” she faces charges of second-degree criminal mischief. This follows the reported vandalism of the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue at St. Mary’s Church in East Islip, stated Suffolk County Police.

The incident reportedly occurred on May 15 around 11:15 p.m. at the church, located at 118 East Main St.

“After conducting an investigation, detectives from the Hate Crimes Unit apprehended Deyonna Subert at 6:39 a.m. outside 221 West Main Street in Bay Shore,” Suffolk County Police shared in a press release on Wednesday.

Subert was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.

Churchgoers discovered the statue’s head missing Sunday morning as parishioners gathered for services and First Communion celebrations, according to News12 Long Island video from the scene.

“Across the way into the auditorium, we had first communions and this is where the kids come and they take their picture,” St. Mary’s pastor Father Anthony Iaconis told News12.

The church’s pastor said donations had already begun coming in to help repair the statue, which was expected to be fixed within days.

“Yeah, it’s a terrible thing,” Iaconis said. “I just ask people to pray for the person who did this. It’s not right, but we can still pray for them.”

Detectives from the department’s Hate Crimes Unit investigated the incident.

“A criminal charge is an accusation,” Suffolk County Police said in the release. “A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”

Suffolk County Police did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for additional comment.

An Air France flight was rerouted to Canada after being denied entry into US airspace due to concerns over a passenger’s potential exposure to the Ebola virus from Africa.

Originally, Air France Flight 378 was set to arrive at Detroit Metro Wayne Airport in Michigan on Wednesday afternoon. However, it was redirected to Montreal Trudeau International Airport in Canada.

The decision to block the flight from US soil came after officials learned that a passenger from the Democratic Republic of Congo had mistakenly been allowed to board, according to information from the US Customs and Border Protection reported by CBS News.

“In light of entry restrictions designed to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus, this passenger should not have been on the flight,” a CBP spokesperson explained to the news outlet. “CBP took swift action by denying the aircraft entry to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and redirecting it to Montreal, Canada.”

During the diversion, the Air France flight was operating in partnership with Delta Airlines.

Air France confirms that, at the request of US authorities, Flight AF378 was diverted to Montreal Airport after a Congolese passenger on board was denied entry into the United States,” and Air France spokesperson told WXYZ. “There was no medical emergency on board, and like all airlines, Air France is required to comply with the entry requirements of the countries it serves.”

Ongoing outbreaks in Eastern and Central Africa have forced government agencies to adjust protocol and restrict travel from anyone who has visited the affected region into the US.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Homeland Security implemented Monday heightened measures, including enhanced travel screening, restricted entry and public health measures to prevent Ebola from entering the country.

Wednesday’s diverted flight came a day before a new DHS initiative was to go into place that would require flights carrying passengers from the Congo, Uganda and South Sudan to land at Washington-Dulles International Airport in Virginia, according to a memo viewed by CBS News.

The restrictions are expected to go into effect on Thursday.

The DRC currently has 600 suspected cases of Ebola, with 139 deaths being blamed on the disease, according to Reuters.

Fifty-one cases have been confirmed in the Central African country, and at least two patients in neighboring Uganda.

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus attempted to lower the fear of a potential widespread outbreak, saying the risk of a global spread is low but cautioned the outbreak has could be bad for the region.

“We know the scale of the epidemic is much larger,” Ghebreyesus said after revealing the 51 confirmed cases on Wednesday.

“Beyond the confirmed cases, there are almost 600 suspected cases and 139 suspected,” he said.

“We expect those numbers to keep increasing.”
