Sydney Sweeney enjoyed a prime spot during Ella Langley’s performance at the 2026 Stagecoach Festival, thanks to her boyfriend, Scooter Braun.

In widely shared footage, the 28-year-old Euphoria actress could be seen perched on Braun’s shoulders, enthusiastically joining in as Langley played her set at the country music event in Indio, California, on Friday, April 24. Sweeney not only mouthed along to the lyrics but also flashed a smile at the camera capturing this memorable moment.

Earlier that day, Sweeney was spotted enjoying BigXthaPlug’s performance at the Mustang Stage, where she delighted fans by posing for photos and mingling with the crowd, as reported by USA Today.

Us Weekly has reached out to Sweeney and Braun’s representatives for their comments on the event.

The couple first attracted attention in June of last year when they were seen together at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s high-profile wedding in Venice, Italy. At that time, a source revealed to Us in June 2025 that while Sweeney was not committed to any exclusive relationship, she was enjoying her time with Braun.

The source indicated that Braun, 44, was “very into” Sweeney and had “been trying to see her in between her work commitments.” (Braun was previously married to health activist Yael Cohen Braun from 2014 to 2022. They share three children: sons Jagger and Levi, 11 and 9 respectively, and daughter Hart, 7.)

The romance seemed to heat up last autumn, when they attended a Halloween event together and Braun attended Sweeney’s space-themed birthday party.

Us exclusively learned in October that the new romance was completely different for Sweeney than anything she’d experienced with past partners.

“They are dating and it has become more serious. Still not putting a label on it, but Sydney has been having a lot of fun with Scooter,” an insider told Us. “It has been low-pressure for both of them and has been a different relationship for Sydney. Scooter has introduced her to new perspectives, especially when it comes to business.”

Earlier this month, Braun packed on the PDA with Sweeney when he accompanied her to the Euphoria season 3 world premiere at Hollywood’s historic TCL Chinese Theatre. Us reported at the time that Sweeney and the music manager had progressed to a “committed” relationship.

“They are the real deal, and their relationship has become very serious,” a source told Us. “People around them thought that this would be just a fling, but they are committed.”

Former Idaho Governor and US Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne Passes Away at 74


Dirk Kempthorne, who once served as both the Governor of Idaho and the U.S. Secretary of the Interior, passed away at the age of 74, according to a family statement released on Saturday.

The statement noted that Kempthorne died on Friday night in Boise, though it did not specify the cause. It was known that he had been battling colon cancer since last year.

“Outside of his political career, he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather,” the family shared. “His greatest happiness came from spending time with his loved ones and everyone he encountered throughout his life. He had a unique ability to connect with people, always remembering their names, stories, and the little details that made them feel appreciated and acknowledged.”

Kempthorne, identified as a moderate Republican, began his political journey as the mayor of Boise in 1985 at the young age of 34. He is often praised for rejuvenating the city’s downtown area by facilitating a deal to construct a convention center and encouraging further development. His tenure lasted seven years before he secured a seat in the U.S. Senate, succeeding Sen. Steve Symms in 1992.

While in Washington, Kempthorne played a pivotal role in crafting legislation, which was later signed by President Bill Clinton, aimed at eliminating unfunded federal mandates imposed on state and local governments.

Rather than run for reelection in 1998, he entered an open election for governor, trouncing his Democratic opponent by garnering more than two-thirds of the vote.

President George W. Bush appointed him Interior secretary in 2006, a position he held until the end of Bush’s presidency — and during which he lived on a houseboat docked in the Potomac River.

“Dirk was one of the finest public servants I ever knew because he was one of the finest men,” former President George W. Bush said in a written statement Saturday. “He was considerate, smart, and capable. Dirk loved our lands and waters, and as Secretary of the Interior, he was an effective steward of our natural resources.”

He protected polar bears

Environmentalists often found Kempthorne too accommodating to industry, citing his efforts to push oil and gas development in the Gulf of Mexico and off Alaska. More than 100 conservation groups opposed his nomination as Interior secretary, saying that as a senator he had voted to eliminate federal money for recovery of the endangered wolf, to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas exploration, and to sell off federal public lands.

Yet in 2008, he bucked other advisers in the White House by insisting that the polar bear should be listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act because of the loss of sea ice in the Arctic. He was prepared to resign over it when Bush decided to back him.

“As Governor, Dirk left an enduring mark on our state,” Idaho Gov. Brad Little said in a written statement. With the partnership of his wife, Patricia, Kempthorne “championed children and families, strengthened public education, and led transformational investments in our transportation system that will benefit Idahoans for generations.”

After leaving the federal government, he became the chief executive of a trade association of life insurance companies.

In a 2023 question-and-answer session with the George W. Bush Presidential Center, Kempthorne recalled helping evacuate nearly 400 U.S. citizens and Afghan allies from Afghanistan two years earlier, as many were being sought by the Taliban following the U.S. military’s chaotic withdrawal. Kemthorne and others worked frantically for months to raise money and garner the support of diplomatic channels to charter buses and an Airbus A340 to help resettle the evacuees in the U.S. and Canada.

At one point, with the flight fully booked, the organizers received a list of more people who needed to leave urgently.

“That night, at a total loss for answers, alone, I knelt in prayer,” Kempthorne recalled. “I said, ‘Dear God, we cannot leave these people behind, please give a path forward.’ ”

He said he then had a vision of Mother Mary holding the infant Jesus. It gave him an idea: The babies on the flight didn’t need their own seats, as their parents could hold them. The organizers confirmed that with the airline and were able to add an additional 50 people to the flight, Kempthorne said.

Kempthorne was born in San Diego and grew up in Spokane, Washington. His father was a regional representative for Maytag, the appliance company. His mother, a homemaker, once worked as a secretary for the Legislature in Nebraska, her home state.

Kempthorne attended San Bernardino Valley College in California before transferring to the University of Idaho, where he served as student body president and met his future wife, Patricia. After graduation he worked as executive assistant to the director of the Idaho Department of Lands before joining the Idaho Home Builders Association as the executive vice president.

Kempthorne is survived by his wife, as well as their children Heather and Jeff and their families.

Shocking Twist: A Phone Call Unravels the Mystery of a Businessman’s Tragic Home Invasion

The tragic and violent death of Robert Chae, a respected Korean American entrepreneur, has left a profound impact on his community, filling it with fear and uncertainty.

“This crime’s sheer brutality distinguished it,” remarked retired Detective Chris McMullin during an episode of “Philly Homicide” aired on April 25. “The revelation of the truth behind it was truly shocking for all of us.”

In January 2009, the tranquility of Robert and Janice Chae’s North Wales residence was shattered when Janice made a frantic call to the police. She reported that three armed men, unmasked, had burst into their home, initiating a terrifying ordeal. While Janice managed to escape to a neighbor’s house to seek help, her husband and their adult children were held captive by the intruders.

Police arrived swiftly, only to find that the perpetrators had already fled the scene. They discovered the Chae children alive but restrained with duct tape. Tragically, Robert was found in a dire state; his head was heavily wrapped in tape, leaving only his nose uncovered, and his hands were cruelly bound with zip ties.

The children were found alive, bound with duct-tape, but it was too late for Robert. His head was wrapped in tape, leaving only his nose exposed, and his hands were zip tied behind his back. 

“I didn’t understand why it was necessary to duct tape his head so many times,” said retired Montgomery County Detective Michael Santarelli. “They wrapped his head so many times that it looked like they used an entire roll of duct tape.” 

Janice told police that one man beat Robert and held him in the garage, while the others forced Janice into the house, demanding access to their safe. They ultimately fled with $20,000 in cash, jewelry and purses.   

But, something didn’t add up: Why would the intruders risk their faces being seen? How did they know the family kept a safe? Those questions would later take the investigation down an even darker path.  

Who Was Robert Chae?

Although Robert grew up poor in South Korea, he believed in the American Dream and went on to become the owner of a beauty supply store in Philadelphia. He also tried to pay it forward, hiring people experiencing homelessness. 

His death came at a time when Asian American hate crimes were increasingly high, according to former Delaware County Assistant District Attorney Pearl Kim. 

“They were specifically targeting Asian people because they believed that Asians were more likely to carry cash, have cash in their home and less likely to notify police,” said Kim, “because of a language barrier or some other cultural barrier.”   

Robert’s autopsy revealed that he died of asphyxiation from his own blood, which reinforced the brutality of the attack.  

“Because his face was taped,” said Santarelli, “there was no place for the blood to go but down his throat.” 

Clue Emerges in Robert Chae’s Murder Case

As investigators dug deeper, small clues began to stand out. Janice recalled the intruders were talking to each other on their phones from different floors of the house. As detectives analyzed phone records in the area, a sketch artist created composites of the men’s faces. 

Meanwhile, Janice and her kids sought refuge with Robert’s sister, her husband and Robert’s nephew Angelo Shin, who lived with the Chaes for a year while his parents were abroad.

Then came a break in the case that changed everything.

A garbage collector reported seeing an SUV with three people circling Chae’s block days before the murder. Investigators then identified three numbers linked to burner phones that were in regular communication around the time of the murder. 

Detectives were shocked to discover that one number belonged to Angelo. 

Why Did Angelo Shin Kill Robert Chae? 

When Angelo was called into the police station for questioning, he was distraught and devastated. 

“Guilt ridden as Mr. Shin was,” his defense attorney David Mischak said, “he immediately came clean about what he had done.” 

Police said Angelo had become friendly with a local named Joseph Page, whom he tried to impress by saying he could get their hands on $100,000.

Angelo told police that the robbery wasn’t serious—but it was too late, as Joseph alerted five of his friends, Amatadi Latham, Robert Eatman, Karre Pitts, Julius Wise and Sybil White. Three would go inside, while others waited as drivers. Everyone would get a cut.

Angelo told police that no one was supposed to get hurt and, in fact, when he asked Joseph why he killed Robert, he suggested that it was Robert’s fault for fighting back. 

In 2010, Robert, Sybil and Julius pleaded guilty to third-degree murder while the rest went on trial. The group received individual prison sentences ranging from four years to life, except for Karre who was acquitted.   

Angelo pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and received 20 to 40 years. 

“He’s where he belongs,” said Robert’s coworker Marianne DiRuocco. “Angelo made adult decisions and I believe Angelo [has] to pay for them.”

We consulted Coach Amanda Grimm, a certified Running Coach with UK Athletics, a qualified Personal Trainer, and an international We Run Coach with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science, to find out how long individuals over 55 should hold a plank to gauge elite core strength.

Many might find planks daunting and underestimate their ability to hold the position with minimal practice. Grimm suggests that a challenging yet attainable goal is to hold a plank for about 60 seconds. Achieving a plank hold of two minutes or more could qualify those aged 55 and above for “elite” status.

This Plank Hold Time Signals “Elite” Core Strength

Some may feel intimidated by planks and completely underestimate how long they’re able to hold one with little practice. According to Grimm, a challenging yet solid benchmark to strive for would be roughly 60 seconds. Holding a plank for two minutes or more would be considered “elite” status for those 55 and up.

“Posture is just as important as duration, though, and so the gold standard would be if the person held a perfectly formed plank, rather than showing any dipping or sagging,” Grimm points out.

Why the Plank Is a Productive Benchmark for Core Strength

A straight-arm plank recruits your entire body rather than simply demonstrating arm or leg strength with one movement.

“It showcases whole system coordination, functional strength, and stamina,” Grimm says. “Core strength isn’t just important for fitness, but as we age, we need to focus on stability and balance to avoid injury—plank capabilities are normally a good indicator of general physical resilience—advantageous for daily function and also retaining performance in sports such as running.”

According to Grimm, the plank is a stellar move that reveals the strength of your “hidden muscles.” These are the ones that support your posture—the shoulder stabilizers, transverse abdominis, erector spinae, and glutes.

“The pelvic floor is also engaged during a plank, as well as your diaphragm, keeping your hips and ribs aligned,” Grimm adds.

How To Hold Your Planks for Longer

If you’re looking to improve your plank hold time, Grimm has you covered. It’s important not to over-challenge yourself, as this could lead to injury if you don’t already have solid strength in your wrists, shoulders, and core.

“Gently build up by increasing the time—aim for good posture over duration,” Grimm stresses. “Always make sure you lower yourself carefully and slowly, not only for increased control but to reduce injury. Aim to be consistent—try planking every other day, but only increasing the time by five seconds each time.”

How Often To Practice Planks

Holding planks three to four times a week is a great way to see noticeable improvements. Be sure to bump up the hold time by 5 seconds each session.

“It should be a case that it feels easy, before you increase the duration. It could be worth doing shorter stints twice per day, on those workout days. Ensure you have rest days so as not to cause injury,” Grimm says.

A controversy is brewing in a wealthy California town over a set of whimsical rabbit statues nestled in a beloved local park.

In Newport Beach, residents find themselves at odds over a collection of 4-foot concrete rabbits, affectionately dubbed “Bunnyhenge.” This playful installation has charmed many, particularly children, but not everyone appreciates its presence.

The future of these quirky sculptures is now uncertain. City officials are considering relocating them to make way for a proposed police headquarters on what they deem an ideal site.

This proposal has ignited a heated debate, pitting local lawmakers against community members. The latter are not only worried about the potential loss of Bunnyhenge but also express concern over the impact on Civic Center Park, a cherished open space.

The proposal has sparked a fierce debate between lawmakers and their constituents who are not only concerned about losing Bunnyhenge, but also a large part of Civic Center Park.

The development, one of four proposals, would require roughly a third of the park’s space including where Bunnyhenge sits. 

Local resident Nancy Skinner told a city council meeting: ‘We have to keep [the new station] out of the park. I’m just shocked to think that we, with just a small ad hoc committee, made a decision without any significant input from the residents in the city.’

Former Newport Beach Mayor Don Webb also told the Orange County Register: ‘If you take a third of it, it will totally minimize the feeling we have today. I suggest looking across the street.’

‘So from a location perspective, central access is extremely important for police operations, response times, and, in my opinion, maintaining a visible public safety presence in the center of our city.’

Other locations or redeveloping the current police headquarters were also floated as potential options, but Councilmember Erik Weigand said building on the park is the best option.

‘We need to study whether the Civic Center even works, but it is the best option at the moment because we own the land,’ said Weigand.

‘If we can find something in Newport Center that is affordable, I’d be happy to support that. We cannot build on Santa Barbara [the existing police station], nor do I support moving all the way out to the airport.’

The 14 bunny statues were installed in the park in 2014, along with two larger rabbits, after the city purchased them for $221,000.

But according to SF Gate, if the headquarters is built on the park, the bunnies are likely to be relocated.

Seattle took TCU safety Bud Clark and Arkansas cornerback Julian Neal with the 64th and 99th picks, respectively.

Neither the Bills’ nor the Ravens’ price tags budged. The Ravens selected Penn State guard Olaivavega Ioane at 14th overall, while the Bills did not have a first-round pick.

3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

Open Heaven 26 April 2026 MESSAGE

Today, I will be discussing how God’s children can attract His help by serving Him willingly, joyfully, and wholeheartedly.

In today’s Bible reading, when Abraham saw three men passing by his tent, he ran to meet them and invited them to take a break from their journey by resting under the shade of a nearby tree. Even though they were complete strangers, he voluntarily offered to host them, and by so doing, he unknowingly hosted God’s presence. Abraham’s hospitality must have prompted God to arise for him and heal the barrenness he was experiencing in his marriage. Those who serve God voluntarily always attract His help.

One day, someone asked me, “Sir, what do you think about instrumentalists who insist on being paid by churches before they minister with their instruments? Should they be paid?” I replied, “No one pays for the same service twice. If they insist on being paid before they minister, the church should pay them. However, they should not expect any special blessing from God for their service because the church has already paid them.” If a fellow insists on being paid to serve God, such a fellow should not expect any special help from God on account of that service. A son who asks his father to pay him before he will wash the father’s car cannot expect to enjoy the same benefits as the one who serves the father willingly and joyfully. One of the reasons I enjoy God’s help today is that I left everything to serve Him when there was nothing enticing, humanly speaking, about working for Him.

There is a difference between serving man and serving God. With a man, it is possible for a fellow to get away with eye service and even get promoted, even though he or she is not serving willingly from the heart. However, God sees the heart, and if anyone serves Him unwillingly, He does not owe such a person any reward.

And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. – 2 Corinthians 12:15

In the Scripture above, Apostle Paul expressed his willingness to spend and be spent for the work of God, not only because he loved God but also because he loved the people whom God had sent him to. Beloved, if you want to attract God’s help, serve Him willingly and wholeheartedly. He is faithful, and He will never forget your labour of love (Hebrews 6:10).

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Kingsport Farmers Market kicked off its opening day on Saturday with a host of engaging activities, highlighted by complimentary rides on the Kingsport Carousel and tomato plant potting sessions.

Families and children enjoyed a variety of activities, including coloring personalized shopping bags and participating in a stitching and sewing station, where they could help craft a community quilt. The event was enlivened by live music from Mike Milhorn and Gold Pine.

Visitors to the market can look forward to a diverse selection of fresh, locally sourced produce, baked goods, meats, handcrafted items, flowers, and more each week.

Chris Stone, proprietor of Yellow Rock Farms and co-owner of Sustainable Meats, emphasized the importance of the market in fostering community ties.

“We truly value the farmers market as it provides a fantastic venue with a large turnout, allowing us to connect with people and share insights about our practices,” Stone remarked.

Craig Cottongim and his wife, Tammy, shop at the market frequently to get fresh ingredients, and occasionally, run into their grandchildren and friends.

“And we know several of the small business owners in here, young people, and we like to support small businesses,” Cottongim said. “That’s an important part of every community, and it’s just a good vibe.”

The Kingsport Farmers Market will be open on Saturdays through the end of November and on Wednesdays from May 6 until the end of September. The market will be open from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. or until produce is sold out.

The Kingsport Farmers Market will continue its Farmacy Fit program with Healthy Kingsport and Double Up SNAP dollars for eligible participants, according to a release from the Kingsport spokesperson.
