Pilot Ejects From $100M F-35B Stealth Fighter Jet As It Crashes Nose-Down- What Happened?
A pilot was forced to eject from an F-35B Lightning II fighter jet during a crash landing at the a naval airbase in Texas on Thursday morning.
The $100 million jet crashed at the Fort Worth Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base as it touched down on the runway. The pilot’s state is still a mystery.
It wasn’t the first time an F-35B has crashed recently; the aircraft takes off and landings vertically, much like a helicopter.
A jet’s forward landing gear disintegrated just this month as it was being carried across a tarmac in Japan, and a jet careened off an aircraft carrier’s flight deck last year and sank into the Mediterranean.

Then, it appeared as though the jet might bounce a few feet back into the air and move forward before abruptly plunging forward and crashing nose-first into the ground.
In a cloud of dust and smoke, the airplane flipped forward on its nose and then turned 180 degrees. Then, as it continued to move forward, it spun around and dropped upright onto its landing gear.
The pilot then leaped out of the aircraft, their parachute expanding in the air as they descended to the ground.

The report, ironically, came just one day after Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot shared on social media that she, ‘can’t wait to share her next chapter with you.’
After the initial report, other rumors surfaced that claimed director Patty Jenkins ‘walked away’ from the project after she ‘rejected’ studio notes for the sequel, after recently turning in a treatment.
Director Patty Jenkins has since hit back at claims she’s behind Warner Bros.’ decision to axe the sequel and has insisted she ‘never walked away’ from the film.
‘When there started to be backlash about WW3 not happening, the attractive clickbait false story that it was me that killed it or walked away started to spread,’ Jenkins said in a statement on her social media channels.
‘This is simply not true. I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. Buried within the original report about the demise of Wonder Woman 3 was a rumor that Jason Momoa may be eyed to play Lobo – leaving his future as Aquaman in doubt.
The 43-year-old actor will star in the upcoming sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, arriving in theaters December 25, 2023, though The Hollywood Reporter claims that could be the last movie produced by the outgoing DC Studios regime.
The report claims that the Lobo character has been mentioned in connection with Momoa and the character is said to be the kind of character new DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran are focusing on.
Still, Momoa has not commented, and Gunn and Safran have not commented about whether or not this character will be included in the DC Extended Universe moving forward.

Other unconfirmed reports have suggested that the heroes assembled by director Zack Snyder for his Justice League movie – including Ben Affleck’s Batman, Ezra Miller’s The Flash, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg – will be abandoned and new heroes cast in their place.
While those rumors have yet to be confirmed, the scrapping of Wonder Woman 3 and now confirmation that Henry Cavill will not return as Superman seems to lend more credence to them.
Snyder said back in January 2021 he has, ‘no plan’ to continue making movies with DC, though that hasn’t stopped rabid fans to call for Warner Bros. and DC to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.
Still, that seems unlikely, as DC’s Jim Lee said at Comic-Con in July they have no plans to restore said Snyderverse and even Snyder himself last month said in an interview that he hasn’t heard from DC since Gunn and Safran took over.
While Gunn and Safran haven’t specifically said that the Snyderverse is fully done, it seems clear it won’t be moving forward.

Henry Cavill revealed on Wednesday that he will not be returning as Superman.
Cavill, 39, most recently has a cameo appearance as Superman at the end of Warner Bros. Black Adam, teasing a showdown between Superman and Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam… though that was just days before James Gunn and Peter Safran were brought on as the new heads of DC Films.
The actor took to Instagram to reveal the news to his 22.9 million followers that he will not be back as the Man of Steel on the big screen.
‘I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman,’ Cavill began.
Much like the news of Wonder Woman 3’s demise came just a day after Gal Gadot shared her optimism about the future of the franchise, the Superman news comes months after Cavill revealed on Instagram that he was back as Superman, following a cameo appearance in Black Adam.
Superman will make a comeback in the DCEU while Cavill is absent, according to Gunn, who insisted in a tweet earlier this week that “Superman is a large priority, if not the biggest priority.”
In response to Cavill’s statement, he added in a Tweet on Thursday, “The character will not be played by Henry Cavill in the initial stages, as our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life.”
However, Gunn continued, “We just had a fantastic meeting with Henry, and we’re big fans. We talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.”
