VMAs Viewers Urge Organizers to Pull the Plug on Award Show

0

MTV Video Music Awards viewers have called on organizers to “pull the plug” after the latest ceremony was beset by delays, absences and lackluster moments.

Hosted by Snoop Dogg, this year’s event took place Sunday night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Taylor Swift, Lisa Rinna and Adam Lambert were among the stars who appeared on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.

However, despite performances from major acts including Madonna, Sabrina Carpenter and Shaboozey, the annual awards show appeared to leave many viewers cold.

Former fans turned to X to criticize the “boring” broadcast, with some questioning whether the VMAs still have a future.

“Getting the feeling this might be the last VMAs,” one viewer posted.

Another wrote: “There’s no shame in bowing out gracefully. Gotta read the room.”

“I thought it was just me, this sh** is boring,” a third person said, while another added: “Honestly, the VMAs have felt like a funeral for years.”

Viewers called for the MTV Video Music Awards to be canceled after Sunday night’s troubled ceremony

“We say this every single year. Honestly just pull the plug,” another critic wrote.

Addressing MTV directly, one viewer asked simply: “What was that?”

Problems began before the ceremony had properly got underway.

Fans tuning in for the show’s highly anticipated opening were instead met with an NFL game between the Cowboys and Ravens on the network broadcasting the event.

“Hold tight, the 2026 #VMAs will take off after the football game finishes. Live, coming up on CBS and streaming on Paramount+!” the official VMAs X account announced, frustrating viewers further.

The awards show finally began on the network at approximately 7:50 p.m.—20 minutes behind schedule—after the opening performance had already ended and the first award had been presented.

The event was also missing several major names from the music industry, including Ariana Grande, Zara Larsson, Olivia Rodrigo and Lady Gaga.

Madonna, meanwhile, faced backlash over what viewers described as an “utterly unfocused” comeback performance. Critics accused her of lip-syncing and expressed concern that she appeared out of breath onstage.

A series of music industry titans failed to show up for the proceedings, including Zara Larsson

What needs to change to make awards shows like the VMAs exciting and relevant again?

Later, the 68-year-old star sensationally forgot what award she was on stage to accept from Charli XCX and Troye Sivan.

‘What is this for, again?’ she quipped after winning Best Dance for Confessions II – The Film, before Charli XCX opened the announcement card to jog her memory.

She then bizarrely announced that she had a laser ‘stuck’ up her posterior before leaving the stage in bizarre scenes.

Additionally, there were also several categories excluded from this year’s telecast – including Song of the Year.

This also sparked outrage on social media as one fan mocked: ‘Excluding awards from an award show?’

Another added: ‘Why didn’t they include Song of the Year??? SH**TY AWARD SHOW.’

The MTV Video Music Awards have been running for 42 years since their inception in 1984.

It has produced some iconic moments over the years, from Madonna’s famous on-stage kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in 2003 to Gaga’s meat dress in 2010.

SpaceX Launches Massive Starship on First Attempt at Orbital Mission

0

SpaceX sent its massive Starship into orbit for the first time Monday, targeting six complete circuits of Earth in a landmark test of the spacecraft’s readiness for NASA’s Artemis lunar program.

The mission came close to falling short of that long-awaited milestone when one engine shut down prematurely. However, the remaining engines continued performing well, and because the failed engine was no longer essential, flight controllers decided after several tense minutes to continue with the planned flight.

“Starship is orbital,” Mission Control declared, prompting cheers.

The showcase rocket, developed by SpaceX founder Elon Musk and billed as the largest and most powerful ever built, carried 26 of the company’s newest Starlink satellites. The spacecraft released them one at a time to join the roughly 11,000 older satellites already delivering internet service worldwide. Each deployment was met with more applause from SpaceX supporters watching at the Starbase launch site in Texas.

The launch marked Starship’s 14th full-scale flight from the southern tip of Texas over three years. Previous tests traveled no farther than the Indian Ocean, roughly halfway around the planet, with several ending in fiery crashes after briefly reaching space.

For this mission, SpaceX aimed to send Starship around Earth from an altitude of 170 miles (275 kilometers) six times during a flight lasting nearly 10 hours. The spacecraft was expected to finish with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean near Chile.

The rocket’s first-stage booster was not scheduled to return to the Starbase launch complex. Instead, it was designed to fall into the Gulf of Mexico within minutes of the morning liftoff.

SpaceX wants to confirm that Starship can operate reliably before attempting to bring it back to Starbase. If the spacecraft were to break apart over land and scatter debris over populated areas, Musk said at a business summit earlier this month, “our popularity would diminish very rapidly.” He added: “That’s why we’re being extremely cautious here.”

If the orbital test succeeds, the next Starship could attempt a return to the launch pad, where enormous mechanical arms would try to catch the hovering spacecraft. Musk has said the maneuver has even or slightly better odds of success. If it works, SpaceX plans to fly the spacecraft again by the end of the year or early next year.

The 407-foot (124-meter) rocket was designed to be fully reusable, a feature SpaceX says is crucial to reducing launch costs. The company recovered the previous Starship from the Indian Ocean in July. Engineers then used hands-on inspections of that vehicle to modify the heat shield on the newly launched spacecraft. The recovered Starship is now being towed back to Starbase.

SpaceX is moving aggressively to certify Starship for orbital missions, an important step in the company’s plans for travel to the moon and Mars.

NASA’s Artemis III mission could launch as soon as next summer and involves a series of three launches followed by an orbital docking operation around Earth. The mission plan calls for an Orion capsule carrying astronauts to link up with competing lunar landers. Jeff Bezos’ Blue Moon would launch first, followed by Orion, which would approach for a connection, and then Musk’s Starship, which would dock with Orion after Blue Moon separates.

The subsequent mission, Artemis IV, is scheduled for no earlier than 2028 and could place astronauts on the moon using either Blue Moon or Starship, depending on which lander is ready first. Later lunar missions are expected to alternate between the landers developed by the two billionaires.

Musk initially designed Starship with Mars in mind, envisioning fleets of the spacecraft carrying the first settlers to the Red Planet. For now, however, SpaceX is prioritizing lunar missions and plans to use Starship to deploy large numbers of satellites, eventually phasing out the company’s more fragile Falcon 9 rocket over the next several years. A second Starship launch site is nearing completion at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, while a third is planned for Louisiana.

Mother and Three Children Die in House Fire Sparked by Battery

0

A lithium-ion battery caused the fire that killed a mother and her three children, an investigation has found.

Elisha Brabin, 36, and her children Leo Brabin, 16, Ellis Brabin, eight, and seven-year-old Prudence Brabin died during the blaze at their home in Bootle, Merseyside, in the early hours of Tuesday, September 22.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) said investigators determined that an electrical event caused the lithium-ion battery to enter thermal runaway, triggering the fire.

Thermal runaway happens when a battery produces more heat than it can safely disperse. Its temperature then rises rapidly and uncontrollably, creating a serious fire risk.

Firefighters responding to the property on Stone Square at about 3.45am found Ms Brabin and her children in an upstairs bedroom.

A fifth person was taken to hospital with burn injuries.

Kev Johnson, head of prevention at MFRS, said: ‘This is a devastating incident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the mother and children who lost their lives, as well as those who were injured.

‘I would like to commend our fire control staff and crews, who worked alongside colleagues from NWAS and made every possible effort to achieve a different outcome. Sadly, the speed and intensity of the fire meant that this was not possible.

‘This tragedy highlights the very real dangers posed by lithium-ion batteries, which we have confirmed were the source of the fire.’

The fire service has not said what the battery was being used for. Lithium-ion batteries are commonly found in e-bikes and e-scooters.

MFRS said 150 fires linked to lithium-ion batteries had been recorded in Merseyside between April 2023 and August 2026. Five people have died in incidents connected to the batteries.

Mr Johnson added: ‘We are urging people to follow manufacturers’ instructions and use only batteries and chargers supplied with the vehicle or approved by its manufacturer. Using unsuitable equipment can create a significant fire risk.’

‘It’s also important to know and recognise the signs that your lithium-ion battery may be failing – if it is swelling, making unusual sounds, has a strong smell, is failing to charge, or is smoking, please stop using immediately.’

Following their deaths, the family of Ms Brabin said she was a ‘devoted and loving mother who lived for her children’.

They said: ‘The tragic loss of Elisha and our three precious children has left us heartbroken. They have all been taken from us far too soon.

‘The loss we are experiencing is unimaginable, and the impact on our family will be felt forever.’

Jersey Shore Star Pauly D Gets Engaged to Nikki Hall in Las Vegas

Will Pauly D Allow His 12-Year-Old Daughter, Amabella, to Watch Jersey Shore? He Says…

It’s time to celebrate: Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio is officially engaged and heading toward marriage.

The Jersey Shore veteran proposed to his longtime partner, Nikki Hall, in a setting that felt unmistakably Pauly D. During his DJ performance at a pool party at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Sept. 27, he paused the festivities, got down on one knee and asked Hall to marry him.

Hall later shared the engagement news in a joint Instagram post featuring photos from the proposal and a close-up of her new ring. “We’ve spent these years choosing each other, growing together, building a life we love, and never rushing a chapter just because the world was ready to read it,” she wrote on Sept. 27. “No pressure. No timeline. Just ours—and God’s.”

She continued, “& as always, His timing was perfect. The easiest YES I’ve ever said @djpaulyd.”

Footage posted online by Caesars Palace and OMNIA Dayclub captured the romantic surprise in real time. In the middle of his DJ set, the 46-year-old reality star—wearing shorts and a graphic T-shirt—took 34-year-old Hall by the hand, dropped to one knee and presented her with the ring.

Lachie Neale Celebrates Mad Monday Amid Outrage Over AFL Post-Match Speech

0

Lachie Neale has taken part in his final Mad Monday celebrations with the Brisbane Lions, as AFL fans continue to criticise comments he made after his team’s grand final victory.

Looking relaxed, Neale joined his teammates at Tetto Rooftop Bar in Everton Park, north-west Brisbane, following the Lions’ 96-89 win over Fremantle on Saturday.

The departing Brisbane midfielder wore an oversized T-shirt and loose-fitting pants, carrying a ribboned trophy in one hand and a full plastic bag in the other.

Neale has faced backlash over his post-match speech, in which he confirmed his departure from the Lions and thanked his loved ones for their support after a turbulent year and the breakdown of his marriage following a cheating scandal.

‘I’ve got great people around me,’ Neale said.

‘I’ve had great support for the last 12 months from a lot of people that love me and who I love very much.’

His new girlfriend, Emma Field, was among the crowd at the MCG, while his former partner Jules shared a photograph of herself wearing a Fremantle scarf before the match.

Field wore a black jacket emblazoned with ‘Neale 09’ on the back and later posted a photograph celebrating with the midfielder as he displayed his premiership medal.

The scenes were a sharp contrast to the previous year, when Neale celebrated Brisbane’s triumph with Jules and their children.

Some social media users focused on that difference as they criticised Neale’s post-match comments.

‘I was so upset when he got interview time, I had to look away,’ one person said.

‘Everyone went quiet when he got his medal,’ another claimed.

Others questioned Neale’s comments about the people who had supported him.

‘No, because who has he really got left? His therapist?’ one person wrote.

The backlash also extended to Neale’s dramatic escape from suspension, which had placed his participation in the premiership decider in doubt.

He was handed a one-match ban for striking Hawthorn’s Jack Ginnivan in the stomach during the preliminary final.

The tribunal upheld that penalty before a successful appeal cleared him to face his former club on the biggest day of the season.

For some critics, the combination of his reprieve and another premiership fuelled their frustration.

But other fans pushed back against the personal attacks, questioning why footballers were expected to serve as examples in every aspect of their lives.

‘We really need to remember they’re footy players,’ one wrote.

‘Making them role models or idols is where people are going wrong.’

Neale’s relationship breakdown became public in December, when Jules rejected suggestions the couple were working through their problems and said she had been ‘betrayed in the most unimaginable way’.

Her former friend Tess Crosley was subsequently linked to allegations of an affair with the footballer.

Speaking to Daily Mail in August, Crosley said she regretted decisions she had made and described the previous 12 months as ‘really, really chaotic and hard’.

‘First of all I have made some bad decisions I deeply regret but I believe that I am not a bad person,’ she said.

‘I also think it is important for people to understand that I was a nobody and I was in a high-profile scandal without all the high-profile help.’

The ongoing attention surrounding the saga was highlighted again last week when an Instagram account posted a Mad Monday costume photograph featuring three men dressed as Neale, Jules and Crosley.

The Neale impersonator wore Brisbane gear and stood between two men in blonde and brunette wigs.

‘Tess, Lachie and Jules on Mad Monday,’ the account captioned the image.

Crosley responded in the comments: ‘Jump scare warning next time pls.’

Elon Musk Says He Sleeps With Books Under His Head to Help Digestion

0

Elon Musk is more commonly associated with rockets, electric vehicles and artificial intelligence than health advice. Yet the billionaire has offered X users an unconventional tip for dealing with nighttime digestive problems.

The SpaceX chief said he sleeps with books stacked beneath his head, claiming the arrangement helps digestion and prevents stomach acid from flowing back upward.

Responding to people who experience acid reflux at night, Musk suggested placing several books beneath the head end of the bed frame to create a gradual incline.

“The whole bed should have a slight downward tilt towards your feet,” he wrote, describing the setup he believes can ease nighttime symptoms.

But can raising the head of the bed with a stack of books really make a difference to acid reflux?

While Musk’s approach may sound unusual, medical research suggests there is some scientific reasoning behind elevating the upper part of the bed.

Elon Musk told users on X that sleeping with a stack of books under his head 'helps with digestion' and reduces 'stomach acid back flow'

Elon Musk told X users that sleeping with books beneath his head “helps with digestion” and limits the backflow of stomach acid

Although Musk's sleeping tips might seem unusual, scientific evidence suggests he could be correct

Musk’s unusual sleep advice may have a scientific basis, with research supporting bed elevation for some people with nighttime acid reflux

This is not the first occasion on which Musk has turned to social media to share unsolicited advice about managing acid reflux and improving sleep.

In an earlier post, he advised people to raise the head of their bed by roughly three inches, or 5cm, and to stop eating at least three hours before going to sleep.

He also told YouTuber MrBeast that there was a “good chance” he was experiencing at least mild nighttime acid reflux, potentially affecting his sleep without him realizing it.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease, commonly called GERD, acid reflux or heartburn, occurs when stomach acid travels back into the oesophagus. The result can be a painful burning feeling in the chest.

A small muscle known as the lower oesophageal sphincter normally helps keep stomach contents where they belong. However, the muscle is weak in as many as one in five adults, allowing acid to rise at inappropriate times.

Nighttime heartburn is particularly common because lying flat removes the assistance of gravity and can make it easier for stomach acid to move toward the throat.

Eating close to bedtime may intensify the problem. Food prompts the stomach to produce more acid as part of the digestive process, leaving more contents available to flow back while a person is lying down.

For that reason, many medical professionals recommend avoiding meals late at night and elevating the head of the bed rather than simply adding extra pillows.

Dr Loai Albarqouni, Associate Professor of Evidence-Based Medicine at Bond University, told the Daily Mail that raising the head of the bed above the stomach allows gravity to help prevent stomach contents from returning to the oesophagus during sleep.

“Studies also found that it can reduce the amount of acid exposure in the oesophagus overnight,” he said.

Elon Musk claimed that elevating the head of the bed by a few inches is enough to relieve the symptoms of acid reflux at night

Elon Musk said lifting the head of the bed by a few inches may help reduce nighttime acid reflux symptoms

In one 2012 study, researchers placed 7.8-inch (20cm) wooden blocks beneath the head of participants’ beds. They then asked the volunteers about their sleep and used oesophageal pH tests to measure physical changes linked to acid exposure.

The researchers found that 65 per cent of participants reported improved sleep, while the number of prolonged acid reflux episodes fell from more than three per night to an average of one.

Likewise, a 2021 review of five trials involving 228 patients concluded that elevating the head of the bed was a ‘cheap, safe alternative to drugs’ for those suffering from GERD.

Dr Albarqouni says: ‘Based on the available evidence, head-of-bed elevation appears to be a simple, inexpensive and relatively safe option that people with mild reflux symptoms could consider trying.

‘The evidence base is still relatively small, but we found evidence of benefit and no evidence of harm that would outweigh the potential advantages’

However, anyone keen to follow Mr Musk’s advice should be aware that there are some drawbacks.

The first is that some studies have shown only limited improvements to GERD symptoms and overall sleep quality.

One study, published in 2020, researchers had 39 patients who were being medically treated for acid reflux sleep in beds elevated by 7.8 inches (20cm) for six weeks.

While they found that the symptoms of acid reflux improved, the researchers found no effect on overall quality of life.

Additionally, over half of the patients reported some sort of adverse reaction to sleeping with their head elevated.

Those effects included sliding out of bed, swelling in the feet and ankles due to venous insufficiency, neck or lower back pain, and even ‘sexual problems associated with the tilting of the bed’.

For a quarter of participants, these effects were so severe that they had to stop elevating their bed as a result, despite improvements to their symptoms.

The researchers wrote: ‘The unexpectedly high percentage of adverse effects casts doubt on whether the net risk–benefit balance for the patient is favourable, and additional studies may be necessary in order to find the least degree of bed tilting that still maintains a therapeutic effect, while minimising the adverse effects of this non–pharmacological therapy.’

Former South Park Writer Creates ‘Cornell 7’ Website Over Allegations of Gang Rape

0

A former South Park writer has launched a website targeting seven men accused of gang-raping a Cornell University student, as well as university employees he says helped them avoid serious consequences. He has warned that “accountability is coming.”

Satirist Toby Morton, who penned five episodes of the Comedy Central series from 2001 to 2003, named the seven former fraternity members in an Instagram post Sunday. The men are accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman at a fraternity house in Ithaca, New York, in October 2024.

“Hello, Matthew Ingalls, Johnathan Newell, Winston Lee, Gillio Lopes, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris, Scott Kretzschmar,” Morton wrote at the beginning of the post. He then announced the creation of a website, “TheCornell7.org,” which he says will document the allegations against them.

Morton said he had registered multiple versions of the men’s domain names and obtained photographs of them. “I’m now slowly finding out where you work,” he added.

He also said his campaign would extend to Cornell employees whom he believes “gave you a break,” declaring that he intended to hold them responsible as well.

Morton said some people had contacted him to point out that he is not a reporter, but “just a satirist.”

“This is true,” he responded. “But this makes me more dangerous. I have no limits. No boundaries. Nobody to tell me I’ve gone too far.”

The online campaign comes after prosecutors reopened their investigation into the alleged Cornell gang rape following a civil lawsuit filed by the woman’s attorney earlier this month.

The initial investigation into the alleged October 2024 assault ended without criminal charges. However, Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten told ABC News that the civil lawsuit presents allegations that are “dramatically different” from those considered during the original inquiry.

In the complaint filed Sept. 16, the woman—identified only as Jane Doe—claims that seven members of Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity drugged and sexually assaulted her inside the fraternity house. She also alleges that the men used a group chat to invite other fraternity members to participate in the attack.

The complaint says the seven fraternity members have not been criminally charged. It further alleges that Cornell issued them temporary suspensions and allowed them to try to reduce the consequences of their conduct by submitting essays to the university.

Cornell University has denied the allegations.

The civil complaint includes images that purport to show the fraternity group chat.

Inside Iran’s Quds Force, the Unit Behind Overseas Attacks

0

British counter-terrorism officers are examining a possible Iranian connection to the suspected bomb plot uncovered near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire on Sunday, amid growing speculation about who may have been behind the alleged attack.

Should investigators establish a link to Tehran, scrutiny is expected to focus on Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), particularly its elite overseas operations unit, the Quds Force.

The Quds Force has faced mounting international attention over allegations that Iran relies on criminal networks and allied proxies to conduct covert operations abroad.

Created following Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, the IRGC was formed to defend the Islamic Republic and preserve its revolutionary order.

It has since grown into one of Iran’s most influential military and security organisations, while the Quds Force has taken responsibility for missions conducted outside the country.

The force is led by Esmail Qaani, often described as a “shadow commander”. He assumed the role in January 2020 after his predecessor, Qassem Soleimani, was killed in a US drone strike in Baghdad.

Qaani oversees a network that builds, finances, equips and coordinates Iran-aligned armed groups across the Middle East. However, the Quds Force’s reach has extended well beyond the region.

European security agencies have uncovered a series of alleged Iranian operations in recent years, including assassination and kidnapping plots, as well as attacks aimed at dissidents, Jewish communities and Iranian opposition figures.

One possible avenue of investigation is Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, and specifically its elite foreign operations arm, the Quds Force

Investigators may examine the role of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including its overseas operations branch, the Quds Force

Researchers monitoring Iran’s foreign operations have documented 218 plots worldwide since 1979, with approximately half occurring in Europe.

The number of alleged operations has risen in recent years. In October 2025, MI5 Director General Ken McCallum said the agency had identified more than 20 potentially deadly plots linked to Iran during a single year.

Among the most alarming elements has been the reported recruitment of ordinary criminals and gang figures to act as proxies.

One prominent case involved Ramin Yektaparast, a German-Iranian gang leader and former Hells Angels figure who was allegedly recruited by the Quds Force for a campaign targeting Jewish sites in Germany.

Yektaparast was suspected of helping arrange attacks on synagogues in Essen and Bochum in November 2022. Reports said shots were fired at the sites and a Molotov cocktail was thrown.

Western intelligence officials later questioned him about his alleged ties to the Iranian regime.

During questioning, he was reportedly able to provide details about his Iranian handlers and the targets they intended to strike. Intelligence from the case helped authorities disrupt additional terror plots in Europe.

Yektaparast had escaped to Iran before facing trial in Germany over the 2014 murder and dismemberment of a fellow biker. He was later killed in Tehran in an assassination attributed to Israel’s Mossad.

Before his death, intelligence sources said the Quds Force had recruited him because of his reputation for violence and his broad network of contacts across Europe.

People familiar with the case said Iranian operatives valued his willingness to carry out any attack they ordered.

He was subsequently passed to Quds Force Unit 840, a secretive branch described by intelligence sources as the regime’s ‘terror export’ unit.

Iranian defectors and Western intelligence sources have described Unit 840 as operating a network of criminal proxies across Europe.

According to those sources, a so-called ‘German Network’ was built around several assassination cells targeting Iranian dissidents and Jewish community figures.

One alleged operation targeted dissident musician Shahin Najafi during a concert in Hanover in September 2023.

The plot was reportedly timed to coincide with the anniversary of Iran’s ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ protests but was disrupted before the attack could take place.

German authorities have also arrested individuals accused of being recruited through Iranian-linked criminal networks, including a Danish national accused of surveilling the German-Israeli Society and the home of a senior figure in Germany’s Jewish community.

Swedish authorities separately exposed alleged Iranian efforts to use criminal gangs to threaten Jewish, Israeli and opposition targets, while Dutch authorities have attributed the killings of Iranian dissidents to Tehran.

In July 2025, France, Britain, the United States, Germany and several other governments jointly condemned what they described as Iran’s use of transnational repression, including assassination attempts, kidnappings and intimidation carried out on foreign soil.

The reach of Iran’s foreign operations has extended across the Atlantic too.

A 2022 US indictment accused an IRGC-linked operative of attempting to recruit an assassin on American soil for a plot targeting former US National Security Advisor John Bolton.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former State Department official Brian Hook have also been placed under extended protective security because of what US authorities described as continuing threats from Iran.

And in July of this year, Israeli media, citing unnamed intelligence sources, reported that the Quds Force had established a unit known as ‘Mukhtar’.

This unit is allegedly working with Mexican cartel networks and members of the Iranian diaspora to target President Donald Trump and other senior US officials.

That allegation has not been independently corroborated, however.

The history of these alleged operations will now be under scrutiny as British investigators try to establish who was behind Sunday’s incident at RAF Fairford.

Three vans were spotted heading towards the airbase, which is used by the United States Air Force for operations against Iran.

RAF Fairford had already been placed on high alert, with security stepped up in recent weeks.

The base lies less than a mile from the centre of the tiny Cotswolds village of Whelford.

The plot was dramatically foiled after a quick-thinking local farmer spotted the suspicious vehicles.

She sped away before calling police and alerting her neighbours on a local WhatsApp group, telling them to lock their doors.

President Trump hailed US-UK co-operation to foil the attack - and insisted that the group were known to police and were 'looking to do big damage' to US forces

President Trump hailed US-UK co-operation to foil the attack – and insisted that the group were known to police and were ‘looking to do big damage’ to US forces

Minutes later, armed police descended on the quiet village, home to just around 100 people, and arrested five men.

Dramatic footage and pictures from the scene showed the young, shirtless suspects sitting on the ground with their hands cuffed behind their backs.

In July, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warned that any base used in air strikes on the Islamic Republic was a legitimate target.

Iranian ambassador Seyed Ali Mousavi previously said that allowing US bombers to launch from RAF Fairford was an ‘important matter for our self–defense.’

Last night as he landed back in Washington from Illinois, President Trump hailed US-UK co-operation to foil the attack – and insisted that the group were known to police and were ‘looking to do big damage’ to US forces.

When asked if the US knew about the attack, he said: ‘We know all about them. You’ll be hearing about it very soon. We caught them.’

Earlier in the day he said: ‘It was fantastic. Working with Britain, it was an amazing job. We had them under investigation. They were looking to do big damage to our fort, and working with the British worked out great.

‘It may have been Scotland Yard, I don’t know. We worked with a lot of them. We had them under view for a long time, and we got them. Thank you.’

The five arrested men are in custody and can be questioned for a fortnight under UK anti-terror laws.

Lawyer: ICU Doctor Reported Severe Injuries After COVID-19 Vaccination to FDA and CDC, Got No Response

Dr. Patricia Lee, M.D., an ICU physician based in California, sent a letter to the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention alleging that she had observed more vaccine-related injuries associated with the COVID-19 vaccines than she had seen during her previous 20 years as a doctor.

In the letter, she described seeing “entirely healthy individuals suffering serious, often fatal, injuries,” according to her attorneys in a follow-up email. The injuries included “transverse myelitis, resulting in quadriplegia, pneumocystis pneumonia, multi-system organ failure, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, postpartum hemorrhagic shock and septic shock, and disseminated CMV and CMV viremia.”

On September 28, 2021, Dr. Patricia Lee, M.D., a California-based ICU physician, sent a letter to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In it, she said she had observed more vaccine-related injuries than she had seen during her 20 years working in medicine.

In the letter, Dr. Lee explained that although she was “fully vaccinated for Covid-19,” her “personal experience this year treating patients in a busy ICU does not comport with claims made by federal health authorities regarding the safety of Covid-19 vaccines.”

Dr. Lee is a licensed California physician who earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California. She completed postgraduate training at Georgetown University and “Harvard-affiliated hospitals” and has practiced medicine “for more than 20 years.” However, she said that throughout her career, she had “never witnessed so many vaccine-related injuries until this year.”

She acknowledged in her letter that she felt “pained in admitting this,” but said she was “compelled by conscience to state the facts” as she had observed them while working in the ICU.

She then listed several “illustrative examples of Covid-19 vaccine-related injuries I have observed firsthand.” She wrote that “it is my clinical judgment that each of these injuries was caused by the Covid-19 vaccine, because there was no other plausible explanation for these injuries other than the fact that the patients had recently been vaccinated.”

The vaccine reactions listed in her letter involved individuals described as healthy who allegedly suffered serious or fatal injuries, including transverse myelitis resulting in quadriplegia, pneumocystis pneumonia, multi-system organ failure, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, postpartum hemorrhagic shock and septic shock, and disseminated CMV and CMV viremia. Lee’s attorneys referenced these cases in an October 6, 2021, follow-up letter to the same agencies.

ICU Doctor Describes Nightmarish COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries In Letters To FDA, CDC, Lawyer Says Agencies Haven't Replied

Dr. Lee wrote that “approximately half of the patients detailed” in her letter had since died. “Those who survived are struggling with long-term sequelae and a diminished quality of life,” she wrote.

“It appears statistically improbable that any one physician should witness this many Covid-19 vaccine injuries if the federal health authority claims regarding Covid-19 safety were accurate.”

“I have spoken with colleagues who have also had similar experiences in treating patients.” She added that her colleagues were reluctant to discuss similar experiences because they feared fueling “vaccine hesitancy” and facing potential punishment.

“I can no longer silently accept the serious harm being caused by the Covid-19 vaccines,” Dr. Lee concluded. “It is my sincere hope that the reaction to this letter will not be to focus on me, but rather to focus on addressing the serious safety issues with these products that, without doubt, you have either missed or are choosing to ignore.”

After the original letter was sent, her attorneys sent another letter to the CDC and FDA stating that the agencies’ “failure to respond is highly concerning.” They added that they were seeking a response so they could “arrange a discussion and information gathering session between Dr. Lee and the appropriate representatives at the CDC and FDA.”
