Woman Recalls Chilling Encounter With Pornographer R.C. Horsch at Philadelphia House Linked to Seven Missing Women

0

A woman has recalled a terrifying encounter with notorious pornographer Raymond “R.C.” Horsch and his felon son, Eugene, more than a decade ago inside their Philadelphia home, which authorities have since linked to several missing and unidentified women.

The woman said she met the father and son during a difficult period in 2012, when she was homeless and struggling with drug use. She immediately recognized them when reports emerged about the Olney property that detectives have connected to seven missing or unidentified women, WPVI reported.

“When I saw this story break, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I know who that is,’” said the woman, who has not been identified.

She met the pair in Camden, New Jersey, and accompanied them to their Philadelphia home. After using drugs, she said she blacked out and later woke in terror to find R.C. Horsch — the author of a disturbing book titled “Memoir of an Empathetic Serial Killer” — standing over her and taking photographs.

“I was terrified. I thought he was going to — him and his son Eugene — I thought they were going to kill me,” she said.

She managed to escape from the residence on Chew Avenue, but said the ordeal continued weeks later when Eugene allegedly threatened her in Camden.

“Eugene was like, ‘You know I can kill you right and nobody would ever find you,’” she recalled.

Now sober for a decade, the woman said others in the area used to warn one another about a man known by his distinctive eye patch.

“We would say, ‘The one-eyed guy, don’t go with him.’ Girls would go missing; we’d be like, ‘Do you think it’s him or the other guy?’”

In 2009, R.C. Horsch was arrested after allegedly attempting to abduct a 9-year-old girl. Investigators later found an eye patch, binoculars, camera equipment and a condom inside his vehicle.

The woman has since spoken with Philadelphia detectives and learned that images of her were among more than 1 million files recovered from the house, including material authorities described as snuff movies.

“They were interested in what Eugene said when he threatened me, and whether I thought other girls had been out there,” she said. “I spoke to one girl’s mom, Gabby’s mom,” referring to Gabrielle Amarando’s mother.

She said she also gave investigators the names of women she fears may be missing and could be connected to the case. The investigation began in June after authorities discovered a disturbing scene inside the property, including dangerous chemicals, weapons and writings that referenced serial killers.

“A lot of us are afraid to come forward, but I’m only doing it so the other girls have a chance of getting some type of justice from this,” she said.

Authorities have said they found images and video of two women — Maribel Frieses, who was last seen in 2018, and Amarando, who was last seen in 2012 — that appeared to depict them after their deaths.

Blair Tonzelli, who disappeared in 2023, and Amy McHale, Horsch’s former wife who was last seen in 2016, have also been identified by authorities in connection with the investigation.

McHale’s family said the last known location for her was the Philadelphia home where Horsch and his son lived.

“Something happened to her in that house,” McHale’s mother, Gloria, said.

R.C. Horsch died last year. Investigators believe his remains may be among five urns recovered from the dilapidated brick house.

Eugene Horsch remains in custody on firearms charges as authorities continue investigating the missing and unidentified women linked to the property.

Sylvester Stallone Opens Up About Bulimia and Steroid Use During Rocky III Era

Sylvester Stallone is speaking publicly for the first time about his past struggle with bulimia.

While developing Rocky Balboa, the iconic boxer at the center of his film franchise, Stallone said he imagined the character as more than simply muscular. “I looked at Rocky [like he was a] very smooth, very normal-looking guy. And then I said, ‘I think the character would start to become a bit more vain,’” Stallone, 80, told The New York Times in an interview published Saturday, September 26. He wanted Rocky’s physique to resemble “a jaguar, a cat” — lean, agile and aggressive rather than oversized like Arnold [Schwarzenegger].

That pursuit of a specific look eventually became consuming. “Then, it became an obsession. Really bad. It got to the point where I became bulimic. You heard it here first,” Stallone said.

The actor, who portrayed the title character throughout the Rocky series, said he came to view his physique as a form of “armor.”

Sylvester Stallone is also revisiting a teenage stay at a mental institution. “In my age group, the teenagers, if you ever snuck out to see a girl or do something like that, you’d be reprimanded by being taken to a place called Park Lodge or the Snake Pit,” Stallone, 80, told The New York Times.

During the production of Rocky III, Stallone said he reduced his body fat to 2.6 percent and struggled to keep food down. “I couldn’t hold anything down — or I didn’t want to keep it down because I became so obsessed with staying at that point of fitness,” the action star recalled. He described the behavior as an off-camera extension of his “obsessive body-worship” and argued that reaching such a physique required more than diet and exercise. “Nobody does it without additives and drugs, period. I don’t care what they say.”

Stallone also acknowledged using steroids to help preserve his heavily trained build.

“It isn’t as though you’re a junkie, but if you’re going to work out and try to stay in shape for six months straight, and you’re eating yogurt and pudding, it’s not happening,” he said. Stallone described using steroids in cycles — “six weeks on, six weeks off” — while conceding that the approach came with serious consequences. “People go, ‘Oh, you don’t get that way naturally.’ No, you don’t, but that also took a terrible toll.”

His perspective began to change after he took on the role of an out-of-shape, vulnerable sheriff in the 1997 film Cop Land.

“It wasn’t until I did Cop Land, when I had to play the weakest guy in the room — partially deaf, overweight — that I felt somewhat liberated,” Stallone told the outlet. By then, he said, years of physically demanding work had taken a major toll. “Yeah, I’ve abused my body. I’ve had nine back operations, two shoulder operations, three neck fusions. Everything is held together with baling wire, but I still want to stay in good shape.”

Sylvester Stallone Calls Himself a Coward for Jennifer Flavin Breakup

Ethan Miller/Getty Images The actor known for playing Rambo has called himself a coward over the way he once ended his relationship with wife Jennifer Flavin. Stallone met Flavin, 56, in 1988, and they dated for six years before he, then 78, sent her a breakup letter through FedEx. The couple later reunited.

As Stallone approached his 80th birthday in July, he said he had stopped treating his body like armor.

“I’m sort of fit, but I take a lot of pills to keep going. It’s come at a terrible price,” he said. Looking back, Stallone added, “If I could do it over again, I would say, ‘Let someone else carry the banner and don’t do your own stunts.’ I don’t know what it was about hurting myself all the time.”

Killer Leaves Disturbing Calling Card in Multi-State Murder Spree

0

Confessed serial killer Gary Ray Bowles moved from state to state in search of victims, leaving behind a chilling detail that would eventually connect his crimes.

After murdering people, Bowles frequently forced leaves, dirt or other objects into their mouths. A forensic psychologist said the disturbing act may have been intended to humiliate his victims while reinforcing his sense of power over them.

“The stuffing of the objects into the victim’s mouth could have some symbolic meaning,” Dr. Kerry Bogardus said on Oxygen’s Unknown Serial Killers of America. “It certainly could act as a symbol of the dehumanization of a victim. To humiliate them, to say to them, ‘I am more powerful than you.’”

Bowles often preyed on gay men who had offered him help or companionship. He would kill them, take their vehicles and use the stolen cars to travel to another state, where he searched for his next target.

Martin Bradley, the nephew of one of Bowles’ victims, summed up the brutality simply: “He’s the definition of evil.”

Victim Milton Bradley Found on Golf Course

The investigation into Bowles’ crimes began in Savannah, Georgia, on May 4, 1994, when the body of Martin’s 72-year-old uncle, Milton Bradley, was found at a golf club.

Milton had been missing for five days when authorities discovered him lying on his back. Leaves, twigs and soil had been packed into his mouth, and investigators determined that he had been beaten and manually strangled.

Milton was widely known in Savannah as a gentle and welcoming man whose kindness had made him a familiar presence in the community.

“Uncle Milton was a World War II veteran,” Martin said. “He sacrificed for the country, had shell shock. Medically, they did bad things back then. They lobotomized him.”

Following the procedure, Milton’s relatives continued to care for him. They eventually employed him at the family’s key and locksmith shop.

The autopsy revealed a fractured nose and defensive injuries, indicating that Milton had struggled against his attacker before he died.

His wallet, which normally contained money and credit cards, was gone. Investigators also found a palm print on a nearby storage shed that could have belonged to the killer.

Investigators Learn Telling Clues About Milton Bradley’s Attacker

Witnesses said Milton had last been seen on April 29 at Faces, a gay bar, leaving with a man believed to be about 30 years old. The man had dark hair, a mustache and a tattoo on his bicep.

Identifying him proved difficult because he had reportedly used several different names. Surveillance footage later showed a man using Milton’s credit card at a gas station, but the poor-quality video was not clear enough to establish his identity.

Detectives also learned that the suspect appeared to be surviving by working as a male prostitute.

“There’s something called a hustler, which is a straight male, who receives oral sex from a gay man in exchange for money,” former FBI Special Agent Dennis Regan explained. “And we start to get the understanding that this person is a drifter and hustler.”

Authorities Link I-95 Killer to Other Crimes Along Interstate

Seeking a broader lead, Savannah police contacted the FBI to determine whether similar killings had occurred elsewhere in the country.

Agents soon found a possible connection. On April 13, 1994—just weeks before Milton vanished—the body of David Jarman had been discovered inside his home in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Jarman, a respected loan officer who frequently visited gay clubs, had been strangled and robbed of his credit card and car. Detectives also found a sex toy lodged in his throat.

Jarman’s last known sighting was at a gay bar, where he had been seen with a younger man who fit the same general description provided by witnesses in Milton Bradley’s case.

The FBI was also able to link the crime spree to the March 14 murder of John Roberts in Daytona Beach, Florida.

“John Roberts was discovered by a friend who did a wellness check and saw that Mr. Roberts was lying in a pool of blood in his living room,” Regan said. “The police come to investigate, they see that it’s a messy crime scene. There’s an overturned table, there’s broken glass, food everywhere. They see that there’s blunt force trauma to Mr. Roberts’ head, manual strangulation and he’s gagged with a white cloth that is put down his throat.”

After the killing, the suspect—dubbed the I-95 killer—stole Roberts’ car then took the interstate north before abandoning the vehicle in Nashville, Tenn.

“He would move up and down the I-95 interstate,” Bogardus  explained, “commit a crime, pick up a car, take it to the next state.”

Suspect Identified as Drifter Gary Ray Bowles

Investigators caught a break in identifying their killer after finding a probation report in Roberts’ home with the name Gary Ray Bowles, a man from Kentucky with a troubled past.

Bowles’ handprint in the system also matched to the one left behind at Milton’s crime scene, authorities said.

“There’s very little doubt in our mind that Gary Ray Bowles was the killer of Milton Bradley, David Jarman and John Roberts,” Regan said. “This serial murderer is on the loose and we need to find him.”

Investigators believed that Bowles operated by targeting the kindest guy in the room at a club in an attempt to get invited back their home, then killed and robbed his victims.

His violent ways began early in life after beating his stepfather with a rock at the age of 14. After fleeing home, Bowles began hitchhiking.

“The first person who picks him up gives Bowles oral sex,” Bogardus said, “pays him for it, and says ‘This is how you can make money.’”

Though straight, Bowles—who had a criminal record for aggravated battery, prostitution and drug-related offenses— began hustling to support himself, Regan said, adding “This is easy money to him.”

Not long after Milton’s murder, the body of 37-year-old Albert “Alcie” Morris was found May 19 inside his Hilliard, Florida home.

“It’s a chaotic scene in the house where they are stabbing each other, hitting each other and someone shot Alcie Morris to death with one shot to the chest,” Regan said. “There is manual strangulation. The perpetrator has taken a blood soaked towel and placed it in the mouth and throat of Alcie Morris.”

Investigators said Bowles fingerprints were found at the scene.

Gary Ray Bowles Strikes Again in Florida

With investigators fearing that Bowles could strike again, they flooded the media and gay bars throughout the country with his pictures and information about his crimes, but months went by without any new leads.

Then, in November of 1994, investigators learned that another body had been discovered in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jay Hinton had been violently killed inside his mobile home. According to investigators, Bowles had grabbed a concrete stepping stone from outside the house as Hinton slept and dropped it onto his head.

“The autopsy on Jay Hinton revealed that he also had injuries to a rib cage,” former Jacksonville Sheriff’s Det. Joe Collins recalled. “There was indication there was a fight.”

Hinton was strangled and had a rag stuffed down his throat.

As former Florida Assistant State Attorney Bernie De La Rionda explained, “It was as egregious, as heinous, as atrocious a murder as you can have.”

How Was Gary Ray Bowles Caught?

Detectives learned that before his death, Hinton had given man he believed was named Timothy Whitfield a place to stay.

Authorities learned that Bowles had been using the alias to avoid detection. They were able to track Bowles to his job in Jacksonville, where he was working under the name Timothy Whitfield and he was arrested. Though he initially claimed to be Whitfield, he eventually confessed to his real identity and the six murders.

“He used gay men to get food, shelter and comfort,” Collins explained. “They bring him in as a roommate. Everything was fine until it was time to move on. In his words, he didn’t kill everybody he met. It was only a few, unfortunately, that triggered him to murder.”

Bowles was convicted of Hinton’s murder in 1996 and sentenced to death. He was executed by lethal injection in Florida in 2019.

Ravens Stun Cowboys on Final-Second Play in Chaotic First NFL Game in Rio de Janeiro

The Baltimore Ravens snatched a dramatic victory from the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, with Tyler Loop drilling a 56-yard field goal as time expired.

The NFL’s first game in the Brazilian city delivered a thrilling finish. Dallas appeared poised to win, but the Ravens produced a stunning late turnaround in the closing seconds.

With the score level at 31-31, Baltimore regained possession with only seven seconds remaining, making overtime seem almost inevitable.

Lamar Jackson had different plans. He connected with Zay Flowers for a crucial 27-yard completion to move the chains, then called timeout with one second left, setting up Loop’s long-range attempt.

Loop sent the 56-yard kick through the uprights to spark wild celebrations, sealing a 34-31 win and moving Baltimore to 2-1 on the season.

Dallas drops to 1-2 and now faces a 10-hour flight back to the United States while reflecting on a devastating ending to a game it came so close to winning.

A crowd of 72,792 packed the Maracana for the NFL’s third game in Brazil and its first in Rio de Janeiro, witnessing a back-and-forth contest filled with major plays.

Derrick Henry led the way for Baltimore through much of the game, rushing for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

The Ravens held a 24-13 advantage in the third quarter, but the Cowboys quickly responded. Jake Ferguson made up for an earlier turnover when Dak Prescott found him for a 19-yard touchdown, before Dallas cut the deficit to 24-21 on a two-point conversion featuring a fine catch by CeeDee Lamb.

Baltimore then appeared set to extend its lead to 10 points, but Henry was stopped for no gain on fourth-and-inches at the goal line. Rookie linebacker Jaishawn Barham burst through the offensive line to make the decisive tackle.

Dallas carried that momentum into a 96-yard touchdown drive, highlighted by a 49-yard pass to Lamb. KaVontae Turpin finished the possession with a 9-yard touchdown run, putting the Cowboys ahead 28-24 with just under 10 minutes remaining.

The Ravens had made a major defensive impact earlier in the third quarter by forcing a Dallas turnover when Ferguson fumbled a shovel pass from Prescott. Later, the Cowboys attempted a 59-yard field goal, but Keondre Jackson blocked Brandon Aubrey’s kick, preserving Baltimore’s 17-13 lead and giving the Ravens possession near midfield.

Four plays later, Jackson found Chris Moore for a 4-yard touchdown, extending Baltimore’s advantage to 24-13.

The Ravens overcame a difficult opening stretch by scoring 17 unanswered points to take a 17-13 lead into halftime.

Henry’s 5-yard run early in the second quarter also moved him into ninth place on the NFL’s all-time rushing list, taking him past Pro Football Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson’s 13,259 yards.

If the five-time Pro Bowl selection maintains his current pace, Henry could also pass Jerome Bettis (13,662), LaDainian Tomlinson (13,684) and even Curtis Martin (14,101) this season.

After concerns about the playing surface this week, the grass field at the Maracana appeared to hold up pretty well.

The NFL has been playing in Brazil since 2024, but the two previous games were at the 48,000-seat NeoQuimica Arena in Sao Paulo.

In the first year of the Brazil game, its turf was also criticized and forced players of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers to change their cleats to stop slipping.

Lindsay Clancy Holdout Juror’s Attorney Rejects Law Defiance Claim

The attorney representing the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial is rejecting the suggestion that his client refused to apply the law. Speaking with Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany, attorney Edward Paltzik said juror Michael P. Desronvil had no uncertainty about his decision.

In a preview of an interview scheduled to air Monday on “Fox & Friends,” McEnany asked Paltzik whether Desronvil had ever experienced reasonable doubt. The question followed a note from the jury foreperson accusing the juror of refusing to follow the judge’s instructions on the legal standard.

“Michael had zero doubt,” Paltzik said.

“Zero doubt. No doubt. And he had evidence to back up his position?” McEnany responded.

“A lot of evidence. A mountain of evidence,” Paltzik replied.

Desronvil remained the only juror seeking a conviction after seven days of deliberations in Clancy’s trial. The other 11 jurors were prepared to find the former labor and delivery nurse not criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children. Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4.

Clancy acknowledged killing 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan at the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023. Her defense maintained that postpartum psychosis made her not criminally responsible for the killings. Prosecutors argued that Clancy understood her actions and deliberately planned the deaths.

Desronvil later said he believed the physical evidence and witness testimony demonstrated that Clancy knew what she was doing. Prosecutors have not said whether they plan to retry the case. Clancy is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 29.

McEnany’s full interview with Paltzik will air Monday on “Fox & Friends.”

Albanese Government Gives 30,000 Boat Arrivals Permanent Visas

0

The Albanese government has granted permanent visas to more than 30,000 asylum seekers who arrived in Australia by boat, prompting warnings from the Coalition that the country’s border protection policies have been seriously undermined.

According to The Australian, the recipients are among those who sought asylum during the Rudd-Gillard governments and have since been issued Resolution of Status visas.

Many had spent years in Australia on Temporary Protection or Safe Haven Enterprise visas. The group includes more than 6,500 Iranian nationals and over 4,500 people from Afghanistan.

The Resolution of Status visa pathway was announced by former immigration minister Andrew Giles in early 2023. It was designed to resolve the immigration status of people who arrived during a period of heightened people-smuggling activity between 2009 and 2014.

The government originally indicated that approximately 19,000 visas would be issued. However, the reported total has now gone well beyond that projection, with an estimated 30 visas being approved on each business day.

More than half of the visas are understood to have been granted within the first 18 months of the program. About 17,000 recipients have already become Australian citizens or have reached the point where they are eligible to apply for citizenship.

The number of permanent visas issued to people in this group also rose by 22 per cent during the 2026 financial year.

Several immigration lawyers cited by The Australian supported the figures. One lawyer, who was not named, said permanent visas were often being approved before applicants had an opportunity to have their cases heard in court.

“The government very clearly decided to issue Resolution of Status visas to thousands of asylum seekers who had previously been told they would never be resettled in Australia,” the lawyer said.

Coalition immigration spokesman Jonno Duniam described the increase in Resolution of Status visa grants as a “very serious weakening” of Operation Sovereign Borders.

Senator Duniam said the figures reinforced the Coalition’s longstanding argument that the visa pathway could encourage more people to seek permanent settlement in Australia.

“The Albanese government should not have abolished the Temporary Protection and Safe Haven Enterprise visas, and those measures must be restored urgently,” he said.

“Labor promised to retain the former Coalition government’s policy that people attempting an unauthorised boat journey to Australia would never be allowed to settle permanently here. That commitment is now in tatters.”

The Department of Home Affairs says people applying for permanent visas must satisfy a range of health, character and national security requirements.

Applicants must also sign the Australian Values Statement, agreeing to respect individual freedom and dignity, freedom of speech, the rule of law and the principle of a “fair go” based on mutual respect and tolerance.

Those whose first language is not English are also expected to make “reasonable efforts” to learn the language.

Opposition immigration spokesman Jonno Duniam said the numbers represent a 'serious weakening' of Australia's border security

A Home Affairs spokesperson said not all visa grants had been issued to people in the Temporary Protection visa or Safe Haven Enterprise visa cohort, and that some had been granted in response to recent humanitarian crises.

‘The Government remains committed to Operation Sovereign Borders. Australia’s border protection policies have not and will not change – anyone who attempts to travel to Australia irregularly by boat will not settle permanently here,’ the spokesperson told the Daily Mail.

‘Resolution of Status grant numbers are not limited to the former TPV and SHEV cohort, and include grants made in a range of circumstances, including as part of Australia’s response to recent humanitarian crises.

‘Each case is assessed on its merits, taking into account the individual circumstances of the case and the most current and relevant country of origin information.

‘People who do not engage protection obligations, who are not awaiting a merits or judicial review outcome, and who have exhausted all avenues to remain in Australia, are expected to depart Australia voluntarily and may be provided assistance to depart.’

Actress Confronts Masked Robbers During Mansion Break-In Attempt

Hollywood actress Monet Mazur frightened off three masked intruders who allegedly tried to break into her Hollywood Hills home.

Mazur, 50, was at the property with her dog on Saturday night when at least three people dressed in black and wearing ski masks approached at around 11:30 p.m., the California Post reported.

The home, which realty websites estimate is worth more than $1.5 million, is protected by security cameras. Mazur saw the suspected burglars approaching through the live camera feed.

She confronted the group, prompting them to scatter after they realized the house was occupied. It remains unclear exactly how Mazur challenged the would-be intruders.

The actress, who is best known for playing Laura Fine-Baker on the television series All American, then called the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers were sent to the Hollywood Hills residence.

The suspects had fled by the time police arrived. An LAPD helicopter searched the surrounding area but failed to locate anyone, and no arrests had been reported as of Sunday evening.

Footage recorded by RMG News showed Mazur outside the property, speaking on the phone while wearing what appeared to be pajamas. LAPD officers could also be seen at the home.

A canister of pepper spray was visible on the doormat near the front door in the video.

Mazur began acting in the 1990s and reached the height of her career in the 2000s, appearing in films including 40 Days and 40 Nights, Blow, Torque, Just Married and The House Bunny.

Her television credits also include Castle, CSI: Miami and NCIS: Los Angeles. She later worked as a producer on the series Snatch.

According to realty websites, Mazur’s Hollywood Hills property spans 2,125 square feet and includes two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a two-car garage. The home sits on a 4,250-square-foot lot overlooking the Los Angeles skyline.

The attempted break-in comes as Los Angeles has seen a series of burglaries targeting celebrity homes.

In March, the Bel Air home of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Rachel Zoe was burglarized while she was out of town.

Zoe’s fellow Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members Kathy Hilton and Sutton Stracke were also victims of burglaries in November 2025, while they were attending BravoCon in Las Vegas.

Singer Lionel Richie was reportedly inside his home in August last year when an intruder broke in.

Richie’s security alarm was triggered during the incident, causing the suspect to flee before stealing any valuables.

In late June 2025, thieves broke into actor Brad Pitt’s residence in Los Angeles’ Los Feliz neighborhood while the star was out of the country.

Authorities believe the burglars struck while Pitt was traveling in Japan promoting his racing drama F1.

Teddi Mellencamp, former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, said last year that her home was the subject of an attempted break-in.

Mellencamp revealed that thieves were scared off after a security alarm, installed by her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave’s security company, was triggered.

She later shared unsettling security footage showing several men climbing over a fence and moving toward the side of her house before suddenly sprinting away when the alarm began blaring.

Also in 2025, actress Nicole Kidman and her ex Keith Urban were caught up in the trend of celebrity break-ins.

Their Beverly Hills mansion, purchased in 2008 for $4.7 million, was reportedly targeted while the couple was out of town.

According to reports, an intruder smashed a window to gain entry, but a staff member who was on the property at the time managed to scare the suspect away before anything could be taken.

DA Reopens Probe Into 7 Cornell Frat Members in Alleged Rape

Authorities in central New York are taking another look at disturbing allegations that seven Cornell University fraternity members drugged and sexually assaulted a former student.

Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten told ABC News that prosecutors are weighing potential criminal charges after details outlined in a civil lawsuit drew widespread attention online.

The lawsuit, filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe, alleges that she was pressured to take drugs before being assaulted and raped by several men at Cornell’s Chi Phi fraternity house in 2024. The defendants named in the complaint are Matthew Ingalls, Johnathan Newell, Winston Lee, Gillio Lopes, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris and Scott Kretzschmar.

According to the complaint, Newell later encouraged other fraternity members to participate, allegedly sending a Snapchat message referencing “free p—y” to a group called “Chi Phi Actives.” A screenshot of the alleged message was included with the lawsuit.

Van Houten said the account presented in the civil filing differs substantially from the statement the woman gave investigators after the alleged assault.

“It’s our intention to present the case to the Tompkins County grand jury with Jane Doe’s cooperation,” Van Houten told ABC News.

Prosecutors, he said, want to determine whether new evidence has emerged since November 2024 that could alter their earlier evaluation and support a finding of criminal conduct by the grand jury.

Thomas P. Giuffra, Jane Doe’s attorney, challenged the district attorney’s characterization of her statement. He also said investigators failed to conduct a follow-up interview with her, particularly through someone trained to work with survivors of sexual abuse.

“In my experience, speaking with an abuse survivor requires delicacy, understanding and specialized training. An average University Police officer would not have these skills. It would be the role of a specially trained detective or district attorney. However, Ms. Doe was never contacted by anybody with those skills,” Giuffra told the outlet.

Van Houten did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Foiled Terror Plot at Bomber Base Highlights Broader Threat to U.S. Military Installations, Expert Says

Five men arrested Sunday near a major U.S. bomber base in the United Kingdom may have been preparing a “complex” and coordinated attack with potentially global consequences for American military installations, according to a former U.S. intelligence official.

As counterterrorism officers investigated the arrests near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, a former Pentagon official said President Donald Trump would ultimately determine the response if investigators establish that “the trail leads to Tehran.”

The suspects were first detained on suspicion of violating Britain’s Explosives Act and were later arrested on terrorism charges linked to the airfield. RAF Fairford is a key U.S. Air Force facility and the main European base for American strategic bombers.

Trump said Sunday that U.S. authorities had been tracking the suspects before their arrests.

“We had them under investigation,” Trump told reporters in Chicago. “They were looking to do big damage to our fort.”

“It may have been Scotland Yard. I don’t know. We worked with a lot of them. We had them under view for a long time, and we got them,” Trump said.

According to Sky News, counterterrorism investigators are examining whether Iran could be connected to the suspected bomb plot.

Morgan Murphy, a former Trump White House official, told News Media that British authorities are directing the investigation in coordination with U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

“Every phone, bank record and rental receipt will be run through British and American intelligence, and if the trail leads to Tehran, it will be found,” Murphy said.

“But as American airmen and bombers seem to have been the target, Air Force investigators on the base, the FBI in London, and American intelligence will likely all work the case.”

“If conclusive evidence proves Iran is behind an attempted attack on U.S. forces, the American President will ultimately decide how Tehran pays,” Murphy added.

Andrew Badger, a former Defense Intelligence Agency official, told News Media that the number of suspects and vehicles involved suggested the possibility of a sophisticated operation.

“We are going to see elevated security protocols across Europe, across the U.K., and across the entire world for any U.S. installation,” he said.

“This is a very significant threat, and again, seeing that we had five individuals involved and three different reported vans at the scene, this could have been a very complex, highly orchestrated operation,” Badger said.

“This isn’t just some type of amateur lone wolf operation,” he said, emphasizing Fairford’s strategic role. “Fairford is also where the U.S. houses its strategic bombers for Europe as well as the rest of the world.”

Badger said a possible attack could have created risks well beyond the airfield itself, warning that it “could have had significant security implications” and might have damaged the surrounding area.

RAF Fairford

“They could have tried to use a VBIED or a vehicle-borne explosive device where the first van could have gone off at the front gate, and then the other vans would have gone in and tried to go for the strategic bombers,” Badger said.

British authorities have not publicly identified who they believe was behind the suspected plot or announced a motive, but RAF Fairford had taken on greater strategic importance during the war with Iran.

The U.K. government previously authorized U.S. forces to use the Royal Air Force bases Fairford and Diego Garcia for limited defensive operations, including destroying Iranian missiles and launchers at their source.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) later warned that any base used to attack Iranian territory would be considered a legitimate target.

“Any base used to launch attacks on Iranian territory is a legitimate target for our forces,” the IRGC said, according to reports.

“Tehran warned London in July to keep American bombers off Fairford, and if this plot traces back to Iran, the answer must be more bombers, not fewer,” Morgan said.

A local councilor told Reuters there had been a recent security alert at Fairford and surveillance had been stepped up.

“So there was a specific threat about six weeks ago from the Iranians on this base. At the time, there was increased surveillance around the area,” he told the outlet.

Badger, however, cautioned against assuming Iran was responsible while pointing to other potential threats.

“This could be Iran trying to gain strategic leverage in negotiations, but there are other actors as well,” Badger added.

“But there’s Russia, who’s been launching a campaign of gray zone or hybrid warfare attacks across Europe, as well as Islamic extremists, which are still a significant threat here in the U.K.”

“Was this some type of retaliation by Iran to perhaps try to gain leverage or to try to inflict a cost for the U.S. withdrawing from these negotiations? Again, we don’t know for sure, but it is a possibility,” Badger said.

Badger also pointed to RAF Welford, a major U.S. ammunition storage facility that primarily supports operations at RAF Fairford.

“RAF Welford is actually the second-largest weapons and ammunition depot in all of Europe,” Badger said, noting that the facility where the U.S. stores ammunition “could have been a target as well.”

“Other bases across Europe, including European and U.S. partners, have already been on a heightened state of alert,” Badger continued.

“But of course, after this attack, I think they’re going to be in an even more heightened state. You’re going to have more frequent security patrols.”

“There are reports that RAF Fairford was put onto what’s called the Delta alert, which is the highest state of security alert within the military base system,” Badger said.

“So this is basically that ‘an imminent terrorist attack is inbound,'” he concluded.
