Gisele Bündchen Pleaded for Tom Brady’s Attention in Handwritten Letter

0

Gisele Bündchen reportedly pleaded with Tom Brady to spend more time with their children and give greater attention to their family in a “serious” handwritten letter sent before their highly publicized divorce.

According to Lars Anderson’s forthcoming book, “Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness,” the supermodel gave Brady the note after the New England Patriots’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2018 Super Bowl.

“She explained that their marriage wasn’t working,” Anderson writes in an excerpt published Friday by the Daily Mail. “She needed more of him, more of his time, more of his attention, more of his heart.”

Anderson, who examines the former couple’s relationship in the book, which is scheduled for release Sept. 29, writes that Bündchen, 46, wanted Brady, 49, “to be present when he was at home.”

That meant not ignoring text messages on his constantly buzzing phone or mentally replaying football games, Anderson writes.

“She needed more help with the kids. She needed the chance to sleep in just a few days a week. She needed more time for her own career,” he adds.

One of Brady’s former teammates told Anderson that Bündchen was “a bigger international star” than her then-husband.

The teammate alleged that Bündchen had grown weary of living according to Brady’s schedule and spending much of football season in his shadow.

“She has a lot of pride, too. And, I mean, how many times did you see Tom supporting her career? There clearly were imbalances there,” the former teammate said.

Anderson says the couple attended marriage counseling, but Brady eventually stored Bündchen’s letter in a drawer.

“He’d pull it out on contemplative nights and reread every word, wanting to be reminded that he needed to tend to his marriage with the same tenacity he tended to his job,” Anderson writes.

Representatives for Brady and Bündchen did not respond to requests for comment about the upcoming book.

Bündchen ended her 13-year marriage to Brady on Oct. 28, 2022. Months earlier, Brady had announced his NFL retirement in February, only to reverse that decision a few weeks later.

“We have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,” the health guru wrote in an Instagram statement.

The former couple share two children: Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13.

Bündchen married jujitsu instructor Joaquim Valente in December 2025, and the couple welcomed a son, who is now 1 year old.

Gainesville Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Raping and Choking Woman

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Travis Lamont Hale Sr., 47, has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison after a jury convicted him of sexual battery, felony battery and domestic battery by strangulation.

Hale was arrested on Nov. 13, 2024, after a woman who had been in a relationship with him for several months told authorities that he beat and choked her, kept her with him for two days to stop her from contacting police, and then forced her to have sex with him.

The victim said Hale became angry on Nov. 9 because he believed another man had been in her apartment. Her family told him that only relatives, including her father, had been there, but he remained upset. According to the victim, Hale drove her to his apartment and threw her phone out of the vehicle’s window along the way.

She said she got out of the car at an intersection and walked home. However, she chose not to contact law enforcement because Hale had destroyed only her phone.

About an hour later, Hale returned to the apartment. The victim let him inside because he appeared calm and had brought back her computer. She said he again accused her of having a man in the apartment before punching her in the face and threatening to break her jaw. Hale then choked her until she lost consciousness. After she woke up, he took her to CVS for first-aid supplies, but she said swelling around her eyes had made it difficult to see.

Later that day, Hale took the victim with him to a job in Lake City. She said he kept her under constant watch for two days so she could not call police.

On Nov. 10, Hale told the victim he wanted to have sex. When she refused, he argued that it was unfair because “this is an apology.” The victim said she repeatedly told him no, but he forced her to have sexual intercourse.

During a trial that began Aug. 31, a jury acquitted Hale of destroying the victim’s phone but convicted him of sexual battery, felony battery and domestic battery by strangulation. Judge Denise Ferrero sentenced him to 15 years for sexual battery, followed by five years for felony battery, with credit for 661 days already served. He received a time-served sentence for domestic battery by strangulation, followed by five years of probation after his release. Hale will also be designated as a Sexual Offender.

Ed Sheeran Faces Ticket Sales Blow Amid Macklemore Drama

Ed Sheeran’s Philadelphia concert has taken a hit at the box office as the fallout from Macklemore’s “Free Palestine” comments continues to grow.

The Saturday performance at Lincoln Financial Field marks Sheeran’s first show since Macklemore was removed from the remaining dates of the LOOP Tour on Monday. The decision has fueled controversy and appears to have put pressure on ticket demand.

Just hours before the concert was scheduled to begin, hundreds of tickets were still listed on the resale market, with prices ranging from $51 to $234 for seats in the main sections, according to StubHub.

A substantial number of tickets were also available in the Pit area directly in front of the stage, with listings priced between $229 and $298.

The 35-year-old Sheeran could also face an impact from pro-Palestinian demonstrations expected outside the Philadelphia venue. His protégés, Katseye, have additionally unfollowed Macklemore on social media.

The Daily Mail has contacted Sheeran’s representative for comment.

Following his onstage speech at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Macklemore shared on Instagram that Sheeran had told him that Robert Kraft – who owns the Gillette Stadium through his holding company, the Kraft Group – called him.

“Ed told me that Kraft said I would not be allowed to perform in his stadium. Ed also told me that Kraft had rallied some of the other stadium owners and collectively they gave him an ultimatum: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you will not be allowed to play in our venues,” he wrote.

Macklemore acknowledged that his friend “was in a f***** up position. He knew it.”

The “Can’t Hold Us” rapper continued: “I hope this isn’t the end of my relationship with Ed. Thirteen years of friendship doesn’t disappear because of one painful disagreement.”

Sheeran has also faced sharp criticism from fellow musicians, including Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters, who criticized the singer on social media for failing to take a stronger position against the decision.

Finneas, Billie Eilish’s brother, withdrew from his planned appearances on upcoming Sheeran tour dates, saying that “artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed.”

Other acts connected to the tour also stepped away, including opening performers Aaron Rowe and Lukas Graham, as well as Beoga, Sheeran’s longtime backing folk band.

On Tuesday, Sheeran released his own statement on Instagram, saying it wasn’t his decision to remove Macklemore from the tour, but the promoters’.

“I would never let down the fans who had made plans, nor would I abandon the touring crew and the other support acts and musicians who rely on me for work and to make a living,” the British singer-songwriter said.

Macklemore, 43, whose legal name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, was removed from the remaining LOOP Tour dates after provoking backlash with a “Free Palestine” speech earlier this month.

According to Rolling Stone, several major venues in the United States told tour promoters that the “Thrift Shop” hitmaker would not be permitted to perform at their facilities.

The dispute began after Macklemore used his opening set to lead the crowd in chanting “Free Palestine” and delivered a speech addressing the political conflict.

Macklemore stated that every human being deserves the same freedom, and told the crowd he wanted people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank to know they had not been forgotten.

He then performed his protest song Hind’s Hall while images of the devastation in Gaza were projected on the big screens at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Macklemore also faced a boycott petition calling for his removal from Sheeran’s tour for the blunt and direct language he used onstage.

He was the opening act for Sheeran’s LOOP Tour on two consecutive nights, September 4 and September 5, at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

Macklemore has also previously voiced support for Palestinians and called out Israel’s conduct in Gaza and the occupied West Bank and has continued doing so for years.

As seen in fan-taken footage, he wore a keffiyeh at one point during his set.

During his performance, he said he had a message to share with the Palestinian people and wanted them to know ‘they have not been forgotten.’

He said: ‘One of the reasons why I wanted to come on this tour was because I wanted to stand up here on stages in stadiums across America and say two words that are very near and dear to my heart: Free Palestine. I said, Free Palestine!

‘I want those words to be loud and clear so that people from Gaza, all the way to the occupied West Bank know that we have not forgotten them.’

Macklemore also added: ‘I believe that every human being walking on this earth deserves exactly the same freedom, to know safety and peace before knowing the sounds of violence.’

During his speech, he referred to ICE as a ‘terrorist organization’ before shouting: ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘Free Cuba, Congo, Sudan and Iran.’

The Israeli-American Council drew up a petition insisting he should be dropped from the remaining dates of Sheeran’s tour.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Macklemore’s representatives for comment.

It wasn’t known how many signatures the petition collected.

The group’s petition read: ‘This was an Ed Sheeran concert – not a political rally, not a protest, and not an activist event. The issue is not whether Macklemore has the right to hold political views.

‘The question is where the line should be drawn when an opening act uses a global concert platform to advance a one-sided political agenda.’

Fan reaction was split on social media after the two shows, with some defending his onstage war comments as others accused him of anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Pink also weighed in on Macklemore’s recent controversy, amid calls from fans for the rapper to be removed from the tour.

The singer, 47, reposted an Instagram Story from StopAntisemitism, which slammed Macklemore’s performance.

The caption on the post read: ‘Awful – Jewish fans bought tickets to see Ed Sheeran sing last night in NJ, not to be ambushed by Macklemore’s anti-Israel propaganda.

‘Instead, Macklemore walked onstage in a keffiyeh, shouted ‘Free Palestine,’ accused Israel of a false ‘genocide,’ and turned a mainstream event into a political nightmare against the Jewish state. Concert-goers are owed apologies and refunds.’

The Daily Mail has also reached out to representatives for Pink and Sheeran for comment but has yet to hear back.

5 Best Comedy Movies of 2026 So Far, Ranked by Laughs

0

Comedy may be the film genre hit hardest by the rise of streaming and the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The days when filmmakers such as Adam McKay and Judd Apatow could routinely turn original theatrical comedies into major box-office successes have largely disappeared. Today, that level of commercial performance is usually reserved for long-awaited legacy sequels such as “The Devil Wears Prada 2” or major intellectual-property adaptations including “Barbie” and the “Deadpool” films.

On a smaller but encouraging scale, the best comedies of 2026 may be helping audiences rediscover the pleasure of laughing alongside a theater full of strangers. These films feature strong stories and memorable performances, while keeping comedy at the center even when the material takes a more serious turn. If movies of this caliber continue to arrive, the genre could be on the verge of producing the kind of unexpected original breakout hits that horror and other genres have recently enjoyed.

This ranking includes only movies that have already opened in U.S. theaters in 2026. The list is likely to grow, though. After seeing early festival screenings of upcoming films such as “Club Kid” and “The Debut,” I can say with confidence that more laughs are still on the way before the year is over.

Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie

You probably have two immediate questions about the title. No, “Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie” has nothing to do with Kurt Cobain. And yes, it is based on a television series. Still, newcomers do not need to have watched “Nirvanna The Band The Show” to appreciate the film, although both are now available to stream on Hulu for anyone seeking the complete Nirvanna experience.

Director Matt Johnson and composer Jay McCarrol portray fictional versions of themselves, two musicians who have spent 20 years unsuccessfully trying to book their piano-and-spoken-word act at Toronto’s renowned Rivoli venue. Their latest outlandish scheme drives the movie, and saying much more would risk spoiling its best surprises. What follows is an entertaining blend of daring real-world pranks, pop-culture satire—including plenty of affection for a groundbreaking 1980s science-fiction film—and sharp reflections on nostalgia, friendship and the challenge of growing older while continuing to do what you have always done.

The Sheep Detectives

A family-friendly murder mystery about sheep investigating the death of their shepherd may sound like a dubious premise. But turning unlikely ideas into successful movies is precisely the sort of challenge executive producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have mastered. “The Sheep Detectives” brings together “Minions” director Kyle Barda and “Chernobyl” writer Craig Mazin for what may be the finest talking-animal mystery since “Babe.” The film is now streaming on Prime Video, and Looper has called the whodunnit “near-perfect.”

There is plenty here to entertain children and adults alike, from the sheep’s endearing behavior and the suspicious human characters to the film’s knowingly “Knives Out”-style spin on the mystery genre. Yet the comedy is only part of “The Sheep Detectives'” appeal. Its most lasting impact comes from the emotional weight and surprisingly mature ideas beneath the jokes. As the sheltered flock faces its own mortality, it must decide whether ignorance is preferable to the difficult responsibilities that come with knowledge.

The Invite

Cesc Gay’s 2015 play “The People Upstairs” has become one of contemporary theater’s most frequently adapted works, inspiring eight films from around the world with a ninth scheduled for 2027. Among them, however, the 2026 American remake “The Invite” has earned the strongest acclaim.

Much of that success comes from Olivia Wilde’s confident direction. The setup is intimate: two sharply contrasting couples gather for dinner, with one pair preparing to complain about the noise and the other planning an unconventional proposal. The story remains deliberately contained, but Wilde’s precise visual style gives every scene a cinematic energy, preventing the film from feeling like a stage play simply transferred to the screen.

The ensemble is just as effective. Wilde and Seth Rogen fully embrace the unpleasant edges of Angela and Joe, an unhappily married couple, while Edward Norton and Penélope Cruz bring irresistible, slightly chaotic charm to their sexually liberated guests, Hawk and Piña. Norton’s improvised story explaining his character’s name is an instant highlight. A tribute to Diane Keaton, “The Invite” delivers the wit and human insight associated with the best Woody Allen comedies—without, of course, actually being a Woody Allen film.

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma

“Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” may have been sold as a horror movie, but it is far more interested in comedy than scares. More specifically, it is a romantic comedy built around an affectionate, often irreverent understanding of horror cinema.

The film represents a dramatic tonal shift from Jane Schoenbrun’s earlier features, “We’re All Going to the World’s Fair” and “I Saw the TV Glow,” while also extending the ideas explored in both. If “World’s Fair” approached gender identity as a subconscious concern and “TV Glow” dealt more directly with the painful experience of coming out, “Camp Miasma” focuses on the freedom that comes with accepting yourself and allowing space for pleasure.

Hannah Einbinder plays Kris Williams, a queer filmmaker preparing to reboot the notoriously controversial “Camp Miasma” slasher franchise. In search of inspiration, Kris visits Billy Presley, the reclusive final-girl actress from the original movie, played by Gillian Anderson. Billy helps her move past the shame attached to her cinematic and sexual guilty pleasures in this reality-bending, self-aware celebration of the enduring allure of “flesh and fluids.”

Coyote vs. Acme

Our earlier review of “Coyote vs. Acme” explored the film’s appeal in detail. Since then, the movie has finally reached theaters—three years after Warner Bros. attempted to shelve it as a tax write-off—and audiences appear to be responding just as enthusiastically as critics. Reviews from both groups are nearly identical in their praise, while the film’s box office has already surpassed $60 million, more than twice the $30 million Warner Bros. would have received from the write-off. Even so, the $70 million production remains far from profitable at this stage.

“Coyote vs. Acme” works because cartoon violence is timelessly funny — and because taking such mayhem incredibly seriously adds more humor, pathos, and some rather timely social commentary. It’s finding inspiration in Sisyphus pushing the boulder over and over again, and captures every “Looney Tunes” fan’s heart by asking, “What if the boulder loved Sisyphus?” You could pair it with “The Sheep Detectives” for a double feature of true all-ages entertainment — or with “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” for a double feature on the romance of the chase.

TikTok Settles Alabama Lawsuit for at Least $100M, Adds Safety Features

0

TikTok will pay Alabama at least $100 million and introduce a broad set of teen safety measures under a settlement reached shortly before the social media company was scheduled to face the state in court.

Alabama filed its lawsuit against TikTok in 2025, alleging that the platform was damaging the mental health and well-being of young people.

The state argued that TikTok’s “addictive properties,” including an algorithm that delivers highly personalized content based on users’ interests, posed risks to children. The lawsuit also alleged that TikTok knew about those risks.

Under the agreement, TikTok will make several changes for teenagers in Alabama. One of those changes will give teens the ability to choose a feed that is not personalized to their interests.

TikTok will also remove cosmetic procedure filters for teen users, impose a two-hour daily usage limit and block access between midnight and 6 a.m. Teens in Alabama will receive a “productive pause” prompt after 15 minutes of uninterrupted use, followed by additional reminders at 60 and 90 minutes.

Beyond the platform changes, TikTok will provide Alabama with $100 million in restitution and remediation. The money is expected to support youth mental health services and other programs. Alabama could receive as much as $183.8 million more if enough other states reach qualifying settlements with TikTok within a specified period.

The teen protections in the Alabama settlement are broadly similar to measures Meta agreed to this summer as part of an agreement resolving comparable claims brought by nearly every state, including Alabama. Meta had urged TikTok and YouTube, its other major competitor, to adopt similar standards, but TikTok had not publicly responded.

Katherine Robertson, chief counsel in the Alabama attorney general’s office and the Republican nominee to become the state’s next attorney general, recognized the similarities to the Meta agreement. Speaking to The Associated Press on Friday, she said: “There’s been a war on childhood coming from a million different directions.”

“We recognize that parents and youth are fighting a battle against a bunch of different platforms,” Robertson said. “They’re manipulating kids to get addicted to their product, essentially.”

The agreement also calls for stronger, easier-to-use parental controls, more rigorous age-verification steps and enhanced content-moderation procedures. Teen accounts will be private by default.

A spokesperson for the TikTok USDS Joint Venture said in a statement Friday that TikTok’s priority has “always been fostering a safe and positive space where people can be creative, discover what they love, and connect with their community. This builds on our commitment and core objective to continually enhance our robust safety tools to protect teens.”

Alabama would have become the first state to present its claims against TikTok to a jury. The trial had been scheduled to start Monday.

TikTok has resolved several similar lawsuits brought by individuals before they reached trial, including a high-profile social media addiction case in Los Angeles earlier this year. In that case, a jury found that YouTube and Meta designed their platforms to hook young users without adequately considering their well-being.

TikTok also agreed in August to pay $400 million to settle a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Department of Justice. The 2024 case accused the company of violating federal children’s privacy laws.

Big Brother Host Will Best Expecting First Child With Fiancée Tobi as He Shares Baby Bump Photo

Strictly Come Dancing star Will Best has announced that he and his fiancée, Tobi, are expecting their first child.

The 41-year-old Big Brother presenter shared the news on Thursday through a seemingly casual Instagram photo dump, with one image revealing Tobi’s baby bump.

The couple, who became engaged in 2024, appeared delighted as Will rested a hand on stylist Tobi’s bare stomach. He captioned the post: “Baby, Will?!”

In another photograph, Tobi helped Will adjust his suit while he placed a hand on her bump. A third image featured a tiny pair of baby shoes.

The television star is apparently set to become a father while filming the upcoming series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, which begins on Saturday.

Congratulations quickly poured in from fans and celebrity friends, including Fleur East and Strictly host Johannes Radebe.

A source told The Sun: “Will and Tobi are overjoyed, and he can’t wait to become a dad. He already had a busy winter balancing Strictly and Big Brother, but now things have become much more complicated.

“Tobi is due before Christmas, so there is every chance he will have to dash away from rehearsals to be by her side.

“Will opens up about the happy news during Saturday’s Strictly show, but he and Tobi are extremely private, so don’t expect an OK! photoshoot any time soon.”

Will proposed to Tobi, his girlfriend of more than a decade, in July 2024.

The presenter took her on a romantic trip to Tuscany, Italy, before getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.

In March 2023, Will marked their 12th anniversary by posting a photograph of Tobi and sharing a screenshot of her promise that she would “never leave” him.

He wrote: “12 years ago today I met this truly one in a 7.88 billion human being. She was even my first ever Insta post.

“And if you scroll right, you’ll see that, as well as being the love of my life, she’s also frighteningly true to her word. ❤️”

Earlier this year, Will was revealed as the sixth celebrity confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2026.

Will, who co-hosts ITV’s Big Brother and the Hits Radio Breakfast Show, said: “I can’t quite believe it… I’m doing Strictly! What an absolute dream. Albeit a pretty terrifying one.”

‘I’ve been lucky to do lots of live telly before, but absolutely nothing like this. And I cannot wait!

‘I have no idea if I can actually dance, but bring on the sequins, bring on the quicksteps, bring on the dance floor! I’m going to try to enjoy every minute of it.’

Will’s first TV job was on music channel Viva, where he fronted chat show Suck My Pop and the MTV Top 20 chart show.

Between 2011 and 2012, Will had a spot on T4 – a weekend segment between morning shows on Channel 4 which also boasted Dermot O’Leary, Vernon Kay and Jameela Jamil before being axed.

Remaining with Channel 4 for another year, he went on to present the iTunes festival, The Crush and Love Shaft on the network’s various channels.

But his primetime break came on ITV in 2017 when he presented the talent show Dance Dance Dance with Britain’s Got Talent’s Alesha Dixon, however, the show was not recommissioned for a second series.

Will was also a regular contributor to Big Brother’s Bit On The Side from 2013 to 2014 before going on to host the new series with AJ Odudu.

Will and AJ were announced as the show’s new double-act in April 2023, following in the footsteps of Davina McCall and Emma Willis.

Balaclava-Clad Children as Young as Five Seen Stealing from Corner Shop

0

A group of children, some reportedly as young as five, have been captured on CCTV entering a Bournemouth corner shop in balaclavas while adults believed to be their parents waited outside.

The footage, recorded by Dorset shopkeeper Erdogan Yigitoglu, 52, appears to show primary school-aged children taking merchandise worth as much as £120.

According to Mr Yigitoglu, the youngsters were sent into his store on different occasions to take chocolate bars, disposable barbecues, fruit and other goods.

For years, Mr Yigitoglu has posted CCTV footage of suspected shoplifters online in an effort to deter crime. Some of the recordings show children covering their faces as they remove items from the shelves.

However, he said the most distressing part was watching the masked children leave the shop and return to adults who had been waiting outside.

In one incident, he claimed a mother appeared to smile and pat her child on the head after the youngster returned with items taken from the store.

The shopkeeper, who has operated his Bournemouth business for 19 years, estimates that thefts and burglaries cost him thousands of pounds annually. He also says the repeated incidents have affected his mental health.

He said: “I can’t believe you would train your kids this way.”

Over the past six years, the father of three has tried using social media to publicly expose suspected thieves, while also banning them from the shop. He believes the approach has helped reduce the level of crime.

“The incident involving the young children wearing balaclavas was particularly shocking for me,” Mr Yigitoglu said.

“What upset me most was seeing very young children imitate this kind of behaviour from adults.

“It was even more disturbing to see the children take items from the shop and then return to their mother, who appeared to treat what had happened as normal, even smiling and patting the child on the head.

“As a father, I found that extremely upsetting. I would never want children to grow up believing that stealing is acceptable or something to celebrate.

“I sincerely hope we see fewer incidents like this in the future. My greatest wish is for children to be taught the difference between right and wrong and given the support they need to become responsible members of the community.”

Mr Yigitoglu said about half of the people he claims to have caught shoplifting on camera have later returned to apologise and pay for the goods.

“In my experience, publishing the CCTV has made a genuine difference. Since we began sharing authentic footage on social media, we have seen the number of incidents fall,” he said.

Mr Yigitoglu said he recently had an incident in the evening where a group of youngsters came into the shop with their faces covered.

He explained: ‘Because we could not see their faces, we did not allow them into the shop. They then took a large box of chocolates and ran away. These are the kinds of incidents we are dealing with.

‘It is extremely frustrating because we are working hard every day, trying to run an honest business and provide a service to the community.

‘All we want is to be able to work without fear and without constantly worrying about whether something is going to be stolen.’

The impact of such frequent theft has not only taken a toll on Mr Yigitoglu’s finances, but also his mental health – as he says he has found himself repeatedly feeling frightened about what has or will be taken next.

He said: ‘Of course these incidents make us fearful. They affect us much more than people might realise.

‘Sometimes we feel that we cannot even breathe properly because we are so worried about what might happen next.

‘Even when we leave the shop, our minds are still here. We are always thinking, “Has anything gone missing? Has someone stolen something?”

‘You cannot properly switch off from it.’

Mr Yigitoglu said he does not release the CCTV to embarrass people or cause additional problems – but simply to try and eradicate shoplifting.

He added: ‘We want to be able to run our business without always worrying about theft. What concerns me most is the effect this can have on the next generation.

‘If young people grow up seeing this behaviour as normal or something to copy, I really worry about where we will be in the future if nothing changes.

‘We don’t want this to become normal.

‘We want people to understand that behind every small business there are real people, real families and years of hard work.

‘My message is simple: we need to stop treating shoplifting as something normal or harmless. We want to see action so that small businesses can feel safe again.’

Presley Gerber’s remains were cremated only days after the 27-year-old’s death, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ on Friday.

The son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber died Sunday, September 20, while staying at an upscale rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles.

According to the outlet, Gerber was cremated at Rose Family Funeral Home. His occupation was listed as an entrepreneur working in the mental health field.

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are expected to keep their son’s ashes at home.

An autopsy has been completed, but the official cause of death remains undetermined while the medical examiner awaits additional test results, TMZ reported.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for the Gerber family and the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office for comment, but has not received a response.

Sources told TMZ that Gerber’s family is making funeral plans and intends to hold a private, intimate service.

The family is reportedly considering Forest Lawn or Malibu Presbyterian Church for a funeral that could take place within the next week.

Since the news of Presley’s death emerged, close friends—including actress Laura Dern and actor George Clooney—have rallied around the Gerber family.

Additional information about the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Gerber’s body reportedly surfaced this week.

On Wednesday, sources described as familiar with the investigation told TMZ that Gerber was allegedly found inside a bedroom at the luxury rehabilitation home on September 20.

He had reportedly entered the facility the previous night and was later found after suffering cardiac arrest.

The sources claimed Gerber’s body was discovered near the bed rather than on it, although they did not provide an exact location within the room.

They also told the publication that fentanyl, a potentially fatal narcotic, is not currently a central focus of the investigation.

Sources claimed to TMZ that the family is planning funeral arrangements, and the ceremony will be small; Gerber seen with sister Kaia in May in L.A.

New details about the circumstances in which Gerber's body was discovered after his heartbreaking death reportedly came into focus this week; seen in 2019 in NYC

Reports this week offered new details about how Gerber’s body was discovered following his death; he is pictured in New York City in 2019.

Any definitive findings about substances that may have contributed to Gerber’s death will depend on the medical examiner’s toxicology report.

The Daily Mail previously obtained audio from the 911 dispatch call placed at the Santa Monica rehabilitation facility. In the recording, an automated voice reportedly says “cardiac arrest,” followed by “overdose.”

Perhaps the most chilling detail from 911 dispatch audio is how rapidly Presley’s condition worsened within minutes.

The first call was made on Sunday, September 20 at 9.35am regarding a cardiac arrest, however, just three minutes later it was upgraded to an ‘overdose,’ then finally at 9.40am the priority was upped once again as it was ‘upgraded.’

Shortly after the release of the 911 dispatch audio, sources close to the model told TMZ on Tuesday that a physician had been prescribing him ketamine despite knowing his past problems with the drug.

Ketamine can be used to treat drug addiction; however, that is not the use approved by the FDA.

Presley’s close friends are allegedly angry that the doctor had prescribed the dissociative anesthetic to him while knowing that addiction struggles had been a regular problem for him, according to TMZ.

Over the past weekend on Sunday, it was announced that Gerber had died following a years-long struggle with drugs, panic attacks and his mental health.

A Santa Monica Police Department spokesperson confirmed to The Daily Mail on Monday that emergency services were called to a luxury rehab Presley had been staying in on Sunday morning – before he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Per TMZ, Presley had been staying in a separate house on the grounds of the LA rehab, and had roommates. It was also claimed Presley had only checked into the rehab on Saturday night, hours before his death.

The model had been open about his decade-long struggle with drug addiction and mental health struggles.

Earlier this year, he posted about having a ‘Pre-ibogaine flood dose’ at a Mexican treatment clinic, a single, high-dose administration of the naturally occurring psychoactive substance ibogaine.

Ibogaine is derived from an African shrub and is reported to help with withdrawal symptoms. The high dose is designed to induce a profound ‘reset.’

Gerber’s parents and his sister Kaia praised him for his ‘courage’ in response to his post about starting the treatment in March.

Crawford commented: ‘You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!’ while Kaia added: ‘That’s my brother I am so damn proud.’

And Rande wrote: ‘I’m so proud of you and your courage. Facing what’s hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.’

Last November, Presley revealed he had taken a step back from social media to ‘take care of my own mental health for a bit.’

One month later, he opened up about his personal life in a candid social media video. He started sharing ‘Mental Health Mondays’ videos on his Instagram. In one, he listed the medication he takes for ‘night terrors’ and ‘panic attacks.’

The tragedy cuts short the life of a model who had seemingly been destined to follow his famous mother into fashion from an early age.

Presley started modeling at age 15 and was featured in campaigns for fashion labels such as Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein.

Presley was signed to IMG Models and appeared in a 2018 Pepsi ad with his mother.

He also struggled with mental health at a young age and was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019.

His death comes just weeks after his younger sister Kaia Gerber opened up about the enormous toll her brother’s struggles had taken on their famous family – admitting the turmoil had effectively ‘leveled everyone.’

‘When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,’ she told Vogue.

Kaia praised her brother’s willingness to strip away the secrecy surrounding his struggles.

She described his honesty and openness as ‘refreshing,’ contrasting it with the intensely private way their parents had traditionally handled family life.

‘My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything – and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’ There’s only so much you can hide from the world,’ she said.

‘And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them,’ she noted.
