Ree Drummond’s foster son, Jamar Goff, was detained in May over allegations that he bit a correctional officer, months before his arrest for an alleged assault on Sept. 15.

According to TMZ, the 23-year-old was taken into custody in May 2025 after allegedly biting the hand of a detention or correctional officer.

Court documents obtained by the outlet show that Goff listed a phone number associated with Drummond, 57, as his family contact. He identified her relationship to him as “foster parent.”

At the time of that detention, Goff was reportedly homeless and employed at McDonald’s.

Additional details about Goff’s 2025 arrest have not been made public.

A representative for Drummond did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Goff’s latest reported legal trouble came on Sept. 15, when he was arrested at the University of Alabama at Birmingham on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and possessing 1.8 grams of methamphetamine.

He also faced charges of attempting to elude police and possessing drug paraphernalia after authorities allegedly found a glass pipe in his possession.

Police reportedly found Goff shirtless and asleep near a fountain on campus. When officers spoke with him, he allegedly said he was waiting to be sold “ice,” a slang term for methamphetamine.

He was not initially detained, but officers later discovered that an outstanding warrant had been issued for his arrest.

As authorities attempted to take Goff into custody and bring him to a local hospital, he allegedly fled and struck one of the officers.

Goff was later booked into the Jefferson County Jail, where his bail was set at $37,000.

Drummond has not publicly addressed the allegations involving her foster son. She and her husband, Ladd Drummond, fostered Goff in 2018, when he was a teenager.

The Food Network star also shares children Alex, Paige, Bryce and Todd.

OXFORD, Miss. – An Ole Miss student says she believes she was drugged at an Oxford bar over the weekend, just days before two students were found dead. The incidents have heightened concern across the college town, prompting local bars to increase security measures.

Lafayette County Metro Narcotics said investigators are examining the deaths of two college-aged people whose bodies were found at separate locations. Authorities have not identified a link between the cases, although packaged kratom bought from a retail store was recovered during both investigations.

“We do not have confirmed information indicating that kratom or any other substance was a contributing factor in either death,” the agency said.

Ole Miss student Mary Harvey told News Media that she went to Oxford bars Saturday night to watch the Rebels play Louisiana State University. She said she later realized she had been drugged and remembers little of the evening.

“Later into that night, around the time when the game ended, I do not remember a single thing. And I was told by a boy that was there that I fell down,” Harvey said.

Harvey said police placed her in an Uber and sent her to her dorm. Once she arrived, other students had to assist her in reaching her room.

“Later after that, my roommate got in the shower and she said while she was in the shower, I went missing. And she left the dorm to find me and was searching everywhere, searched every floor. But on her way back from searching, she found me passed out in the hall of my dorm,” Harvey said.

Harvey said she no longer feels “safe in my dorm building.” In a Facebook post, she wrote that “people are scared to leave their dorm rooms.”

“I feel like everything is just kind of getting swept under the rug and covered up when it should be addressed like immediately,” she said.

Ole Miss student Kenneth Tonos, who provides security for several campus fraternities and sororities, told News Media that at least three Greek life events were canceled after the two deaths. He said bars are also adding precautions, including stricter screening to monitor exactly what patrons bring inside.

A University of Mississippi spokesman told News Media that both people who died were enrolled as students at the university.

Authorities are handling the deaths as separate investigations and have not determined whether drugs or another substance played a role. The county coroner’s office told Fox News on Wednesday that both victims were male. One was 18 and died in a dorm room; the other was 20 and died at an off-campus home.

The coroner’s office has not released their names. Toxicology testing remains pending and may take several weeks to complete.

Officials urged the public “to avoid speculation regarding the circumstances or cause of either death while these investigations remain ongoing.”

“Local, state and federal partners are working collaboratively to gather the facts and provide answers as quickly and responsibly as possible. We are also working closely with the families involved and ask that their privacy be respected during an incredibly difficult time,” Lafayette County Metro Narcotics said.

A University of Mississippi spokesman told News Media Wednesday that several viral claims about drugs on campus are untrue, including reports that additional students were missing or unaccounted for.

Daily Mississippian Editor-in-Chief Raegan Settle told News Media that she wants more transparency from campus officials after the deaths of two students and subsequent drug investigation, urging leadership to issue safety warnings as national media attention mounts.

“The one main thing that I’ve heard repeatedly today is students being frustrated with the university that they haven’t said more,” Settle told News Media. “I think people are just waiting for more warnings and communication from the university and not just local law enforcement.”

Settle urged her peers to carry life-saving harm reduction tools like naloxone (Narcan).

“Getting a high or getting a nicotine feel is really not worth your life and risking your safety,” Settle warned. “And also… be the one who keeps Narcan in your purse. I know that I keep it in mine just in case.”

News Media reached out to the Oxford Police Department and Ole Miss for comment.

A prominent lawyer who separated from his wife before starting a relationship with a younger woman was arrested after an explosive argument over an alleged affair.

Tom Bosworth, 37, was involved in the heated dispute with his 27-year-old fiancée, Brandi Boose, as they walked their newborn son near their $2.2 million Midcentury home in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, on September 3.

Bosworth, who has built a following as “Tommy the Lawyer” on TikTok, is accused of strangling Boose, according to an affidavit of probable cause reviewed by the Daily Mail.

The document also states that Boose, who pleaded guilty to harassment in 2018, allegedly began throwing rocks at Bosworth after accusing him of infidelity.

Bosworth faces charges of simple assault and harassment.

The attorney, who was photographed earlier this week behind the wheel of his damaged white Range Rover, has not entered a plea. He is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing next month.

His lawyer told the Daily Mail: “Mr. Bosworth is presumed innocent, maintains his innocence and has full confidence in the courts.”

The allegations stand in sharp contrast to the couple’s affectionate posts about their relationship on social media.

In an Instagram photo Boose shared of the pair sitting in a car last year, Bosworth commented: “My gorgeous.”

In another post showing Boose relaxing in a cabana on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Bosworth wrote: “You are the light of my life. I am so blessed to have you by my side. You embody what it means to love somebody, and I’m so lucky that somebody is me. I’ll always love you, protect you, and cherish you.”

The couple appeared to be deeply in love as recently as six weeks ago.

In a photo of Bosworth cradling Boose’s baby bump, she wrote: “My safe place. What a journey it’s been. So incredibly blessed to have @lawyertombosworth by my side making this such a beautiful experience and making me laugh all the way through it. I love being pregnant lol.”

Bosworth replied: “My love — not sure how someone could be a pro at being pregnant but you were, so grateful to walk this path with you, and now watch you as the most amazing mama. I love you so much.”

Three weeks ago, he also responded to a video selfie of the couple posted by Boose, calling her “The most beautiful and amazing mama ever” and adding: “I love you to the moon and back a million times.”

Bosworth has about 300,000 TikTok followers and says his law firm has secured more than $196 million in settlements and verdicts.

The latest legal trouble follows his engagement to Boose late last year. Bosworth was previously married to Jessica Frick, with whom he has two children, before the couple separated.

Boose got pregnant shortly afterwards and the couple welcomed their baby son in recent weeks. 

It was while they took their newborn for a walk in the upscale town of Bala Cynwyd earlier this month that Bosworth was accused of assaulting Boose. 

According to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by the Daily Mail, officers were called to a walking trail on September 3 after the two were spotted brawling. 

The affidavit said that the caller watched Bosworth strangle Boose before he ‘subsequently threw her in the bushes which boarder the walking path.’

Officers said in the affidavit that they arrived on the scene to find Boose with ‘debris on her right leg,’ ‘redness to her cheeks’ and ‘discoloration of the skin around her neck.’  

When being questioned by police, Boose said she and Bosworth were arguing over alleged ‘infidelity’, according to the affidavit.

She said that Bosworth had deleted a text conversation from his phone that she had asked to read from a female secretary at his law office.

The affidavit said that Boose later ‘denied a physical altercation occurred’ and ‘eventually became uncooperative with police, claiming that she had fallen.’

As Bosworth was read his Miranda Rights, he refused to answer any questions about the incident, police said in the affidavit.

In total, police spoke with four witnesses who all provided written statements as to what they saw happening between the two, the affidavit said.

The 911 caller told police that they looked out the window of their apartment to see Boose on her knees in the gravel area beside the trail. 

They said Boose then started throwing rocks at Bosworth, the affidavit reads.

Another witness, according to the affidavit, told police that she heard the two of them ‘yelling and screaming’ and witnessed the two arguing. 

That witness said they witnessed Bosworth pushing Boose over who fell on the trail and continued to argue. 

The individual then left their apartment building and followed the couple until officers arrived on the scene, the affidavit said.

One other witness said they saw Bosworth with his hands around the neck of Boose and that they believed he was choking her, per the affidavit. 

They told police that after a few seconds of having his hands around her throat, he threw Boose into the bushes. 

That witness also told police, according to the affidavit, that the two had a baby stroller with them and continued to fight with each other while pushing the stroller down the path. 

Police wrote that another person described a similar scene, with Bosworth again said to have pushed her into the bushes before Boose slapped him.

‘[The witness] stated that the two continued their verbal and physical altercation as they walked, with [Boose] striking [Bosworth] several more times,’ the affidavit said.

Despite the apparent bad blood, the couple seem to still be sharing Bosworth’s mid-century mansion in Gladwyne, near where the incident is said to have taken place. 

Boose was seen driving to her parents home in a car that had been parked outside Bosworth’s mansion earlier the same day.  

The lavish property, worth $2.2 million, boasts five bedrooms, five bathrooms and an outdoor dining ‘moat’ featuring a dining table and chairs on a black granite platform, surrounded by water, a public property listing said.

In 2018, Boose previously pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment which included subjecting another person to physical contact. She was ordered to pay $305 in fines.

A request with Aston Township Police Department for further details relating to her conviction filed by the Daily Mail was denied by the department. 

It is unclear when Bosworth and Boose started their relationship, social media images of the two together only started to appear in June of last year. 

In announcing their engagement, Boose described Bosworth as her ‘soulmate,’ claiming she knew it was ‘forever from day one.’

She added: ‘Thanks to God first, and family and friends for the rest. My best friend, my lover, and everything in between.

‘Here’s to a life of beautiful people, yummy food, and daily belly laughs. I love this man.’

In a post to his own page last July, Bosworth said Boose had ‘completely stole my heart when you came into my life.’

He added: ‘Every day with you is a blessing. Every day I don’t think I can love you more, and then I do.’ 

Boose is a recent law graduate from Widener University, in Pennsylvania, with the then expectant mom seen back in May posing with her bump and Bosworth at the school. 

The Daily Mail has contacted Bosworth and Boose for further comment. 

A group of attackers brutally beat a retired truck driver after a minor car crash, then said they were “upset” as they apologized while police investigated the assault.

Video of the incident shows several people kicking 63-year-old Lance Jeffries and dragging him through the street “as if he was a piece of lint,” according to his daughter, Valancia. The attack happened near an intersection in Jennings, Missouri, on Saturday afternoon, she told KMOV-TV.

Jeffries had rear-ended the family’s vehicle. After the crash, he went over to check on the people inside the other car — and was then attacked.

One of the women captured in the widely circulated video later attempted to explain why she lashed out after the collision.

“At that moment, my mindset was, ‘I’m angry, I’m upset, my kids are hurting, my vehicle is gone.’ I wasn’t really thinking, ‘Oh, this is an elderly man,’” Mary Moore told KSDK.

“My actions, they’re not OK at all. I am hurt and I am disappointed in myself,” she added.

Moore’s aunt, Tamara Logan — who was also shown kicking Jeffries as he lay on the ground — offered an apology as well.

“I apologize for kicking and slapping him,” Logan said. “I was in the wrong.”

Davion Alfred, the father of Moore’s children, also said he was “hurt” and “disappointed” by his conduct during the assault.

“None of that was justified,” he said.

Jeffries was attacked moments after checking on the occupants of the other vehicle, who were returning from a trip to the zoo.

“They literally started screaming at my dad, and they literally jumped on my dad,” Valancia told KSDK.

“Kicking my dad, hitting my dad in the face, kicking him in the pelvis, dragging my dad and everything. They kicked him in the chest.”

Valancia said the attackers also took her father’s wallet, effectively robbing the retiree during the violent confrontation.

Jeffries was hospitalized with serious injuries after the beating. The attackers had left the scene before police arrived.

His family did not learn that he had been admitted to the hospital until about 10 p.m. Saturday — roughly five hours after the frenzied assault.

“His eyes are swollen shut,” Valancia said while describing her father’s condition.

“He has neck injuries, also. His jaw is swollen. He has blood clots in his leg and also in his stomach where he was kicked.

“So now he has to stay in the hospital so he can get surgery, and he’s in a lot of pain. He’s traumatized, he’s hurt, and he’s scared.”

Valancia said Jeffries was “brutally attacked” and she is now calling for accountability.

“We’re heartbroken. We’re devastated. We want justice. We need justice today,” she said.

Moore, Logan, and Alfred were held at the St. Louis County Jail on Wednesday but have not yet been charged. Another relative was also being held, according to reports.

Despite their apology, prosecutors have vowed to “fully prosecute those responsible” following a “thorough” investigation.

A Florida couple described surviving a lightning strike earlier this month as nothing short of a miracle. The bolt hit them during an evening walk, triggering a desperate rescue by several good Samaritans whose efforts were captured on police body-camera video.

Speaking with News Media, Aaron Walenga, 48, and his wife, Clare, 43, recalled the terrifying incident in Winter Haven. Aaron was left confused and unable to move, while bystanders rushed to perform lifesaving measures on Clare after she lost consciousness.

“I couldn’t move the way I wanted to,” Aaron said. “I’m trying to get up. I am trying to get to Clare … I’m trying to talk, and I’m not really able to.”

The couple said the lightning strike occurred Sept. 2, after they dropped off their three children at a weekly church youth group gathering.

“We dropped our kids off at church, and we use that as our date night, and we looked forward to it,” Aaron said. “So we went out and had dinner and then, we love to go for a walk.”

The pair were walking hand in hand along the popular West Orange Trail when a storm moved in quickly. Without warning, lightning struck them both.

Aaron’s next memory was waking up in intense pain, confused about what had happened.

“My first thought was that we got hit by a car,” he said. “I thought maybe a car just ran us over from behind because getting struck by lightning is nothing that would even enter our minds.”

Still disoriented, Aaron noticed bystanders and first responders attending to Clare, who remained unresponsive.

Four good Samaritans had rushed over, called 911 and begun CPR on Clare before emergency responders arrived approximately 10 minutes later, the couple said. Witnesses later told Clare that she had turned blue and stopped breathing for three to four minutes.

“I like to talk about the amount of bravery that they showed . . . they could see the fence beside them that lit up,” Aaron said. “It was a big moment to turn around and then go, ‘Hey, I think we need to go that direction.’ And they did.”

At the hospital, doctors found that Aaron had fractured eye sockets, a broken nose, damaged teeth and facial cuts. He also suffered burns to his hands and wrists, where he had been holding an umbrella and wearing an Apple Watch.

Although both endured serious injuries, Aaron and Clare called their recovery “miraculous.” They said they suffered brain bleeds and heart damage, but follow-up examinations showed the conditions had completely healed within two days.

“We’re just seeing miracle after miracle and just too many divine things in this unfortunate circumstance to not be noted,” Clare said.

“We both had brain bleeds, and then I also suffered heart damage. And then when they followed up again two days later, it was healed. Neither of us had any brain bleed damage and my heart situation completely healed,” she added.

Clare experienced intermittent memory loss but said she had fully regained her memory about two days after the strike.

“God’s not done with me yet,” Clare said, expressing profound gratitude for being alive.

Since the incident, the family said they have built a strong relationship with the good Samaritans who stepped in that day, adding that they are even planning to return to the trail in a few weeks.

The couple said they are overwhelmed by the support they have received from their local church, neighborhood and school communities.

Their pastor also helped bring their children safely home on the night of the lightning strike.

“Our neighbors are taking care of our yard and our pool for us, so it’s just so many things happening without us even asking,” Aaron said.

“It’s very humbling to know that people out there really care for you, and to see the church the way it’s supposed to be, where it’s not just in a building. It’s really the people that are around you, and it’s been amazing to watch.”

Throughout the ordeal, the couple said they never felt hopeless, crediting their faith for helping them through the shocking experience.

“We’ve never asked ‘Why me?’” Aaron said. “We never got upset, we never felt hopeless. We really felt like even though it was a hard situation . . . God’s been with us and there’s a purpose behind it.”
