Published by Vanity Fair on Thursday, the excerpt details Franklyn’s abortion in 2023 and the emotional impact that followed.

Franklyn began her account by acknowledging how difficult it was to discuss the subject, writing: “There’s no right way to talk about this.”

“Having an abortion isn’t like having a public scandal, nor is writing about it. I can usually reconcile the dark corners of my past, but my feelings around my abortion are, in many ways, still pending, and, frankly, it still feels very wrong to share publicly.”

“But I hope putting myself out there will free me from the self-imposed exile and shame,” she added.

Franklyn said she became pregnant by her boyfriend at the time and took abortion pills at home. She described bleeding “through two pads an hour” and said the available guidance did not prepare her for the emotional aftermath, which she called an “emotional clusterf**k.”

The host of the Sofia with an F podcast recalled being unable to recognize herself in the mirror. She said she chose to share her story in the hope that other women would feel less alone.

Franklyn explained that she had taken “the Chinatown version of Plan B” and therefore did not think she could be pregnant.

After a pregnancy test came back positive, she went to Planned Parenthood and immediately requested an abortion.

During a family birthday trip to the Amalfi Coast, she said she appeared “six months pregnant” because of the “post-procedure belly” she experienced.

Franklyn was approximately five weeks pregnant at the time. She told her mother about the abortion and wrote that the experience made her feel guilty.

“I think about the so-called life I’m protecting by not having a baby—the partying, the numbing, the running. How can I bring new life into the world when I don’t live a life worth keeping myself?” she wrote.

She also said the abortion occurred around the time of her highly publicized fallout with former co-host Alex Cooper, who gave birth to her own child earlier this week.

Franklyn, who announced her engagement to a mystery man in September, became famous after launching the Call Her Daddy podcast with Cooper through Barstool Sports in 2018.

Their friendship and professional partnership collapsed in a bitter public dispute in 2020 during contract renegotiations, after which Cooper continued recording the raunchy podcast on her own.

Most comic book movies build toward explosive finales, towering beams of CGI energy, and the introduction of a new hero or villain meant to anchor the next installment. “Clayface” takes a very different route. With more in common with body horror and films such as “Darkman” than conventional superhero spectacles like “Black Adam,” the movie embraces an ending that is unsettling, intimate, and deeply tragic.

The story follows Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries), a celebrated actor desperate to repair the face he has suddenly lost. He agrees to an experimental procedure designed to rebuild his features, but the apparent success quickly turns catastrophic. The treatment causes his body to become a malleable, gelatinous substance capable of extraordinary transformations. Hagen has become the Batman villain Clayface.

Set against Gotham City’s grimy streets, “Clayface” follows Hagen’s gruesome descent through horror, revenge, and heartbreak. Naturally, viewers invested in the wider DC Universe will want to know how the film’s finale connects to what comes next. Does Hagen finally take on the fully comics-accurate form of Clayface? As his abilities to reshape and heal himself grow stronger, he starts hunting the people who betrayed him or helped Gotham gangster Markos Szabo (David Dencik), the man responsible for cutting his face. The storyline recalls the work of Mike Flanagan, whose projects, including “Oculus” and “Midnight Mass,” often place vulnerable people in situations where supernatural forces are impossible to escape.

Whether the threat involves a haunted mirror, vampirism, or cells mutating a human body, these stories frequently center on ordinary people overwhelmed by horrors far beyond their control. Director James Watkins and co-writer Hossein Amini continue that tradition by showing Hagen use his new powers with terrifying brutality, ripping out spines and suffocating his victims. By the end, Dr. Caitlyn Corr (Naomi Ackie), the scientist whose procedure created Clayface, barely recognizes the man she once treated. To her, Hagen is no longer a patient but a threat that must be stopped.

How does Clayface end?

The climax depends on a failsafe Corr established earlier: a so-called “kill switch” intended to shut down the cells responsible for Hagen’s powers. At Hagen’s urging, she activates it. The process appears to kill him, while his remains bubble away into a nearby storm drain.

Unlike the hopeful, emotional conclusion of James Gunn’s “Superman,” “Clayface” ends in unmistakable anguish. As Corr walks through Gotham, an unhoused man approaches her for money. She drops a few bills into his cup, and he responds with a small bow—an echo of a gesture Hagen made after one of their earliest appointments. The man then walks through a nearby encampment and stops at a shabby door set into a tunnel. Beyond it are a mattress, a mirror, and a few discarded belongings that now serve as Matt Hagen’s home.

The stranger is Hagen, hiding in plain sight through one of his disguises. Since the world believes him dead, this is the only way he can approach Corr. She soon arrives carrying a newspaper and points out the flood of “positive reviews” celebrating Hagen’s work. The pair kiss, but the camera pulls back to reveal that Hagen is embracing a clay imitation of Corr that he created himself. He then reverts to his monstrous, comics-inspired form and lets out a tormented scream. Clayface is alive, but he is now a lonely creature trapped in a body that reflects everything he has lost.

The most memorable body horror movies rarely end gently. “Titane” closes with an extraordinary birth sequence, while “Videodrome” allows its entire premise to collapse into surreal chaos. “Clayface” follows that same tradition of going all the way in its final moments. Hagen’s transformation into his most horrific form—and his desperate plea for Corr to kill him—deliberately recalls the ending of the 1986 version of “The Fly.” Across decades of horror cinema, doomed men transformed into unnatural beings have repeatedly begged the women they love to end their suffering.

The screams and despair of the “Clayface” finale are unmistakably rooted in body horror. Another sequence, in which Corr scans a crowded Gotham street and briefly thinks she sees Hagen in different people, recalls the conclusion of Sam Raimi’s “Darkman.” While “Darkman” is not strictly a body horror film, its fascination with identity, flesh, and transformation—and its debt to Universal Monsters—makes it a natural reference point for “Clayface,” far more so than the bright optimism of 1978’s “Superman.”

Even in the moments leading into the credits, “Clayface” remains committed to honoring classic horror cinema. Considering the extreme and unforgettable endings that body horror has produced over the years, the film could hardly have chosen more fitting influences.

Body horror can take a story in almost any direction, but “Clayface” offers no clear indication of what might happen next. There is no Batman cameo, no playful glimpse of Hagen facing off against another Gotham villain, and not even a mention of Arkham Asylum.

Instead, the movie deliberately avoids the kind of franchise setup that has become standard in superhero cinema. That choice strengthens its horror identity and prevents the story from being reduced to a trailer for a possible sequel. Comic book movies are filled with post-credits teases that never led anywhere, including numerous unresolved hints from the former DC Extended Universe. Suggesting a future project is not the same as actually making one.

Devoting precious screen time to films that may never exist can weaken the movie audiences are watching in the present. “Clayface” avoids that trap, allowing its ending to serve the story rather than a larger slate of potential sequels.

Although its conclusion stands on its own, “Clayface” is still part of the DC Universe that includes “Superman,” “Lanterns,” “Creature Commandos,” and other upcoming projects. Details from its story could eventually resurface elsewhere. If Dr. Caitlyn Corr returns, however, she will be rebuilding her life from the ground up. The movie ends with Gotham police raiding her laboratory while searching for evidence connected to Hagen’s transformation into a shape-shifting killer.

Corr is treated politely by the officers and does not appear to face prison for experimenting on a human subject. Her association with Clayface, however, is now widely known. Her research has been seized and placed in an evidence cabinet at a Gotham police station, making it unlikely that she will receive the funding or institutional support she once enjoyed. That loss of status could leave her open to recruitment by other DC Universe villains seeking a gifted scientist.

There is another possibility. After witnessing the carnage and ultimately activating Hagen’s kill switch, Corr could choose to use her expertise to help DC’s heroes instead. With her old career effectively destroyed, her future remains wide open.

The final scene also clarifies an important detail about Hagen’s condition. He retains the ability to transform back into the handsome actor he was at the beginning of the film, but the monstrous, comics-accurate Clayface has become his default appearance. It is the last form audiences see before the credits, suggesting that the super-powered molecules he injected have made the gelatinous body his dominant state. Returning constantly to his old face would also force Hagen to confront the life and identity he can no longer reclaim.

From a practical standpoint, giving Hagen the ability to briefly appear human also provides future DC Universe productions with flexibility. If a fully CGI Clayface proves too expensive for a later project, Tom Rhys Harries could portray Hagen with little or no makeup. And should Harries become a major star after “Clayface,” the franchise can continue using his face rather than hiding him entirely beneath digital effects or another live-action interpretation.

Could Batman and Clayface fight someday?

In the final days leading up to the release of “Clayface,” DC Studios co-head Peter Safran confirmed a pivotal detail about this particular DC Universe project: Batman is officially active as a crime-fighter while “Clayface” transpires. There’s so much ambiguity surrounding this saga’s Batman plans that speculation and fan theories persist on whether, say, James Gunn’s DC Universe needs Robert Pattinson’s Batman. Still, following the brief appearance of Batman in the initial “Creature Commandos” season, this provides further glimpses into what’s going on with Batman in this franchise.

While Safran has made it clear Batman does exist off-screen during the events of “Clayface,” there’s nary a reference to the Caped Crusader in the entire film. No Bat-signals light up the sky, nor are there jokes about people dressed like bats making nights in Gotham so eventful. However, the confirmation that Batman already exists in this DC Universe makes it clear that there’s potential for a Batman and Clayface skirmish down the line. After all, Clayface was already an adversarial force in “Creature Commandos.”

If he keeps up that behavior in Gotham, it’s inevitable that Batman will eventually have to fight this guy — even if “Clayface” as a movie has zero teases of such a confrontation.

Where could Clayface show up next in the DC Universe?

“Clayface” features no end credits text reassuring audiences that “Clayface will return in [insert DC Universe project here],” nor are there awkward digressions hinting at forthcoming DC Universe productions. Still, it’s worth asking what kind of DC Universe endeavors could make use of Clayface next. Something involving Batman would be a no-brainer, but the announced DC Universe feature centered on the Dark Knight, “The Brave and the Bold,” is still stuck in development and years away from release. Potentially more imminent is another DC Universe production focused on Batman baddies, specifically Deathstroke and Bane, titled “Savage Hunters.”

Perhaps that movie will make room for other Gotham-dwelling foes, including Clayface. Then there’s the approaching sophomore season of “Creature Commandos.” Given that the initial batch of “Commandos” episodes featured Clayface, it wouldn’t be shocking if this program brought the character back for another appearance. A proposed movie about Swamp-Thing (another DC Comics monster, albeit a much friendlier character, with horror roots) and a brewing Teen Titans film could also make room for Matt Hagen.

While there are few obvious places in the next few years of DC Universe media for Clayface to reappear, Hagen proved quite durable during his solo origin story, so don’t count him out in returning to this franchise very soon.

Anti-hazing advocate Evelyn Piazza discusses drug trafficking and hazing allegations involving Penn State fraternity members on America’s Newsroom. Grand jury records identify 14 defendants accused in a multistate cocaine operation linked to the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternities. Prosecutors allege pledges helped cut and package cocaine brought in from New York and Philadelphia.

Four pledges from a Texas State University fraternity were arrested Tuesday after an 18-year-old was allegedly forced into a pickup truck while screaming, police said.

Officers began receiving calls at about 10:40 p.m. reporting that several men were forcing another man into a blue pickup truck, Russell Wilde, a public safety communications specialist for San Marcos, told News Media.

According to KSAT, a probable-cause affidavit said the 18-year-old was forced into the truck with his mouth taped shut. The affidavit stated that he yelled for help and pleaded with the men to release him.

Police later found the truck at the Arba Apartments in San Marcos. Court documents identified those involved as pledges of Texas State University’s Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

“Those involved told officers the incident was a tradition,” Wilde said.

All four men were booked on misdemeanor hazing charges.

A spokeswoman for Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters said the organization was aware of the alleged hazing incident.

Flagler Elementary School Teacher Accused of Abusing Special Needs Student

BUNNELL, Fla. – A Flagler County elementary school teacher has been arrested after authorities said he used physical force against a student with special needs.

Kevin Adkisson, 52, teaches at Wadsworth Elementary School in Bunnell.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said Adkisson intervened when the student argued with another child over a toy. Investigators allege he pushed the student, grabbed the child’s arm forcefully and shouted that the student was behaving like a 2-year-old.

A paraprofessional who witnessed the encounter told investigators that the student crawled beneath a desk while crying and yelling. When the child did not come out, the paraprofessional said Adkisson moved the desk, seized the student by the arm and held the child against a wall.

The paraprofessional reported the alleged incident to school administrators. Adkisson was then escorted from the campus, while the child’s parents and the Florida Department of Children and Families were notified.

The student also told deputies about a separate confrontation. According to the child, Adkisson struck the student in the stomach after the child moved ahead of classmates in line, then lifted the student and placed him at the back of the line.

Adkisson is charged with two counts of child abuse without great bodily harm. Jail records show he has since posted bond.

The arrest marks the second child abuse case involving a Flagler County teacher this month.

Last week, a substitute teacher was arrested after being accused of kicking a student with disabilities at Matanzas High School.

BBC Breakfast presenters have faced criticism from viewers after appearing without poppies on the opening day of the Royal British Legion’s annual remembrance appeal.

Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty hosted Wednesday morning’s programme, but neither presenter wore the red remembrance flower traditionally associated with the charity campaign.

On ITV’s Good Morning Britain, meanwhile, Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh appeared wearing poppies. Anna Jones also wore one while presenting Sky’s breakfast news programme.

The BBC’s decision prompted frustration on social media. Adrian Dodd wrote: “Why are the BBC breakfast presenters not wearing poppies? All the other UK news are.”

Ian Ward, a councillor in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, said he had noticed presenters and guests wearing poppies on ITV and Sky News, but added: “Unfortunately, nobody on the BBC News is wearing a Poppy.”

News viewer Elaine Hoggard raised the same issue in a Facebook post the previous evening, writing: “Anyone else noticed that BBC News channels are not wearing poppies. All other channels are. Shame on you BBC.”

A BBC spokesperson told the Daily Mail that the corporation’s policy allows presenters to wear poppies on screen from 6am on Saturday, October 24, until 11.59pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2026.

The spokesperson said the guidance applies to every BBC presenter and programme, including news broadcasts.

Mr Stayt, 64, and Ms Munchetty, 51, faced comparable criticism in October 2020 after beginning a 6am BBC Breakfast broadcast wearing poppies before removing them at about 6.05am.

At the time, the BBC said it sets an annual date from which poppies can be worn on air, helping maintain consistency across its programmes and output.

In 2020, the approved date was October 31, meaning the BBC Breakfast presenters had worn their poppies before the permitted period began.

A BBC spokesperson said: “Naga and Charlie were wearing [their poppies] earlier than the guidance outlined, which is why they were removed, and there was no intention to appear disrespectful.

“The following morning, Saturday 31st October, Naga and Charlie were wearing poppies in line with the guidance.”

The previous day, Andy Burnham welcomed armed forces veterans and poppy appeal collectors to No10 North in Manchester to mark the launch of this year’s campaign.

Prime ministers traditionally make a donation to the appeal outside Downing Street. However, Mr Burnham chose instead to meet campaigners at the Manchester hub.

In June, reports claimed that Jackman and Foster were finding it difficult to balance their demanding careers with their relationship.

An insider told Woman’s Day that the pair were short on “quality time” and had encountered what was described as a “major roadblock.”

According to the source, Jackman’s packed professional schedule had also led Foster to better understand what his former wife may have experienced during their marriage.

“Hugh’s a workaholic and she’s starting to understand how lonely Deb must have felt at times,” the insider claimed.

Foster has significant demands of her own, juggling her acting career while raising her nine-year-old daughter, Emily Dale, whom she shares with former husband and screenwriter Ted Griffin.

The Wolverine star was recently slammed by his own fans for posting a loved-up photo with Sutton at the premiere of his latest film. 

Posting to Instagram, Hugh uploaded a smiling snap alongside his girlfriend at AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York, adding the caption: ‘And we’re off to the premiere of The Death Of Robin Hood.’

The villains take center stage in Blood of My Blood Season 2, Episode 6, “Small Mercies.” Lord Lovat (Tony Curran) sets his sights on both Ellen (Harriet Slater) and Julia (Hermione Corfield), while the episode also reveals the early roots of a notorious Outlander nemesis.

Before that conflict unfolds, Julia and Davina Porter (Sara Vickers) bury another enemy: Seema (Lauren McQueen). Seema intended to kill Julia and claim William and Henry as her own, yet Julia still feels compassion for her. She believes Seema’s death will remain with her for the rest of her life.

At Leoch, Grace (Ruby Fubara) tells Colum (Seamus McLean Ross) and Ned (Conor MacNeill) that Ellen has been abducted, although she has no idea who took her. Despite reconsidering his position in the previous episode, Colum seems more alarmed by the possibility of the British taking Leoch after Ellen’s death than by his sister’s safety. Ned is appalled when Colum refuses even to send a search party.

Had Colum made any effort to look, he would have found Ellen at Leathers. Lord Lovat has returned after capturing Inverness and remains unconvinced by Julia and Davina’s claim that Seema simply ran away. He orders them to prepare for a visitor, while Maisri (Katharine O’Donnelly) joins the gathering with a reading and a supply of spiced wine.

Simon sits down with his daughter-in-law Ellen and insists that Balloch did not abduct her—he rescued her from MacKinney. Ellen is unconvinced, calls him a traitor and confronts him over the purity test that nearly ruined her life last season. Simon admires her defiance and even apologizes before inviting her to stay for a meal. That offer feels dangerous, especially after Episode 203 established that the Fox’s kindness usually conceals a cruel scheme.

The forced dinner does at least reunite Ellen and Julia. The women pretend to be no more than acquaintances from Braemar, while Julia introduces Ellen to Davina, her mother-in-law. It should be a warm moment, but Lord Lovat keeps insisting that every action he takes is for his children. He encourages everyone to drink Maisri’s spiced wine, then raises a toast comparing the Frasers and MacKenzies to the Montagues and Capulets.

Meanwhile, the MacKenzies—the episode’s real-life Capulets—return home after the Battle of Sheriffmuir, carrying both survivors and grief. Rupert’s wife and Wee Rupert (Louis O’Rourke) mourn his death, while Wee Angus (Marlow Walters) keeps asking where his father is. John Cameron (Alastair Mackenzie) arrives and unsettles both Jocasta and Grace before revealing that Dougal and Angus have been captured by the Redcoats.

At Fort William, Captain Lord Gerard Grey (Digby Edgley) interrogates and tortures Dougal (Sam Retford), who refuses to reveal anything. That changes when a new Redcoat recruit presses a burning coal against Dougal’s face and groin. The recruit is Black Jack Randall (Finley Glasgow), a character Outlander viewers know for his later torture of Jamie. Lord John Grey’s father orders the aspiring sadist to stop and has Dougal taken to the vault. 

Even with his brother in enemy custody, Colum shows no interest in mounting a rescue. He argues that leaving Dougal behind is the best way to protect the clan, but Ned can barely hide his disgust with his laird.

Ellen is in desperate need of help. She has become pale and sweaty, yet continues drinking the wine at Lovat’s urging. When Maisri arrives to perform her reading, she gives Ellen a chilling message: “Life’s promise holds fast, but death’s call must be answered.” Brian may still be alive, but Ellen’s painful cramps suggest that her unborn child may not be.

Inside the tide-dependent vault, Angus (Ross Mann) and Dougal discuss Rupert’s death. Angus comforts Dougal by saying their sons will have one another—a particularly touching detail because Wee Rupert and Wee Angus are played by the real-life sons of the original Rupert and Angus actors from Outlander. Dougal admits that he regrets never having sons, but their conversation ends when the rising tide threatens to drown them. Fortunately, Brian (Jamie Roy) and Murtagh (Rory Alexander) have infiltrated Fort William and are proving highly effective at killing Redcoats.

Ellen continues drinking as her condition worsens, and Julia begins feeling ill as well. When Davina wonders whether Maisri has cursed them, Julia realizes the wine is responsible. By then, however, Ellen is bleeding and reveals that she is pregnant. Julia confronts Simon, who confesses that he ordered Maisri to give both women a potion designed to destroy their wombs. He believes the prophecy naming young Simon—William—as king cannot come true if more children are born into the Lovat line. Julia delivers the devastating news to Ellen, who assumes she has miscarried and demands to be taken home to Leoch.

Dougal and Angus are nearly drowned when Brian and Murtagh reach the vault. With no key available, the rescuers use a wall torch to force their way in. Angus boosts Dougal high enough to push open the grate, allowing Dougal to escape—but Angus drowns. There is no time to grieve as they flee Fort William, where they encounter the young Black Jack once more. Dougal is ready to kill him, but Brian stops him after the terrified boy wets himself, insisting that he is only a child. They spare Black Jack, a choice that will haunt Brian for the rest of his life.

With help from her mother-in-law, Ellen reaches Leoch. Mrs. Fitz (Sally Messham) and Jocasta (Sadhbh Malin) bathe her, tend to her injuries and put her to bed. Colum tries to visit, but Mrs. Fitz orders him to leave Ellen alone. She does, however, reveal that Ellen was at Castle Leathers. Brian may have rescued Dougal, but now Colum could hold him responsible for what his father has done.

The episode closes on a more hopeful note. At Leathers, Arch Bug (Terence Rae) helps Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and his “faerie wife,” Julia, communicate through the stone fence. The pair promise to exchange letters by hiding them in their stone “postbox” until Henry gathers enough gemstones to travel back to their own time.

Claire’s parents have found a fragile glimmer of hope, even as Jamie’s parents face devastating heartbreak. Viewers already know that Lovat’s plan will ultimately fail, and Ellen’s apparent loss of the baby makes the theory that she and Brian will adopt Julia and Henry’s William seem increasingly plausible.

Prince William agreed to appear on The Graham Norton Show because he is being pulled into a public battle for attention with Prince Harry, following his estranged brother’s surprise return to the UK, according to a PR expert.

The Prince of Wales’s unprecedented chat-show appearance has been interpreted as a response to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s series of high-profile media engagements, which began with their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey more than five years ago.

PR adviser Mark Borkowski told the Daily Mail that William appears to be breaking with decades of royal tradition in an apparent response to Harry and Meghan’s dominance of headlines since their dramatic return to Britain two months ago.

Borkowski said William’s appearance on the BBC One programme, officially intended to promote the Earthshot Prize, revealed “just how angry he is about his brother”.

“When the late Queen was alive, she maintained the Royal mystique by staying above all this kind of stuff, just releasing the odd cleverly worded statement here and there,” Borkowski said. He argued that approach had now changed, adding: “It looks petulant, it looks like sibling rivalry, Cain and Abel.”

The PR specialist, who has spent decades advising major brands and high-profile figures, said William risked making “a mistake” by engaging on the same terms as his brother.

“It’s playing Harry at his own game and the Royals should be above that—it’s a misstep,” he said.

“As soon as you start talking about a PR war, you know you’ve lost. As simple as that.”

“Sometimes in a war, the greatest impact comes from ignoring something. Just stay above it all,” Borkowski said.

“I think that has always been the strength of the Royal family: say nothing, don’t complain, and simply carry on doing what you need to do.”

Borkowski also claimed that Harry appeared “desperate” to be welcomed back into the royal fold after returning to Britain. However, he said the Duke’s media strategy was also misguided and suggested that better advice could have led the public to view Harry and Meghan “in a totally different way”.

He said: “Harry’s just not very bright and it shows that he and Meghan haven’t got much wisdom at the core of their comms.”

“Their whole strategy of coming back to the UK has been ‘noise, noise, noise’. But they’re still playing the same song.”

He added: “And the way for the royals, William or whoever, to counter that is just to rise above it.”

Examples of what Borkowski described as this “noise” include the reported decision to move the couple’s children to a different school during their first week, complaints that a foreign photographer had been stalking them and an explosive interview with GQ.

During his appearance, William also sought to present a more relatable image, discussing his enthusiasm for Celebrity Traitors, his abandoned ambition to become a DJ and his support for Aston Villa.

William’s appearance on the show, flanked by actors Cate Blanchett and Hannah Waddingham and conservationist Robert Irwin, came just two days after that bombshell GQ interview with Harry.

The Duke of Sussex had used that platform to reopen old wounds with his family, apparently blaming William for their rift, declaring that ‘some people don’t want it to work out.’

When Harry and Meghan carried out their controversial pseudo-royal walkabout in Nottingham last week, it received global coverage with the BBC news website alone reporting the visit with a live blog of the kind normally reserved for major news.

Other royal engagements on the same day – many of which had been planned for weeks – received a fraction of the coverage the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s unofficial appearance received.

Those overshadowed events included Prince William welcoming Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan at Windsor, the King hosting a party of scientists and business leaders at St James’s Palace and Princess Anne visiting a tech centre in Exeter before attending a naval dinner in Portsmouth.

Daily Mail readers backed Prince William’s decision to appear on Norton, with 71 per cent of them agreeing with the statement that it made the royals ‘more relatable’ in our online poll.

In his first ever appearance on a chat show, William largely discussed his work on the Earthshot Prize, which he set up in 2020, but he also gave glimpses into his private life.

As he took to Graham’s sofa he spoke about BBC’s The Celebrity Traitors, saying: ‘I love it, the family love it. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it. It’s really good telly.’

He humorously added: ‘I saw Ross Kemp the day after the first episode and I couldn’t help but try – in the most appropriate way – to touch him to see what reaction I got from him. Turns out he was really jumpy!’

William spoke about what he would be if he were not set to be king, and said that he would have been a police officer or a DJ.

Kensington Palace was contacted for comment.

Collin Gosselin is challenging his sister Hannah Gosselin’s statement that the siblings have not spoken in almost a year.

“I want to respect her privacy, so I’ll keep this brief,” Collin, 22, said during his Thursday, October 22, appearance on The View. “But I will say that every family is complicated. I’ve seen Hannah many times over the past year—at our house with me and my father. I even have pictures if you want to see them.”

Hannah, also 22, addressed the situation in a TikTok Story posted Wednesday, October 21, shortly after her brother’s memoir, In The Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, was released.

“I’ve decided to take a step back from everything happening because I haven’t lived with my dad in over a year and haven’t spoke [sic] to Collin in close to a year,” she wrote. “That being said, I have maintained a relationship with my mom and other siblings for several years. That is the only thing I’m clarifying.”

In his memoir, Collin revisits his childhood as part of the family featured on TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8, later renamed Kate Plus 8. The series followed Collin, sextuplets Hannah, Aaden, Leah, Joel and Alexis, older twins Mady and Cara, and their parents, Jon and Kate Gosselin. He also details his estrangement from Kate, 51, and alleges that she physically abused him and confined him in a basement.

Collin was sent to a behavioral facility in 2016, remaining there for two years. He alleges that Kate placed him there to stop him from speaking publicly about the abuse he says he experienced. Kate has denied those claims, saying Collin was admitted because he displayed dangerous behavioral problems and needed treatment.

On The View, Collin was also asked whether he believes Kate is using Hannah’s bond with the other siblings to exert influence over her.

“Throughout my childhood, I was constantly seeking my mom’s approval,” he said. “No one wants to accept terrible things. No one wants to believe that their mother could do something like this. Even now, when I see her, I think, ‘Why do I feel sorry for my mom? I shouldn’t feel sorry for someone who has done these things.’ But that’s what it means to have a heart.”

Speaking about the recently announced Netflix documentary starring Jon, Collin and Hannah, the Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test personality said, “We’ve already filmed a significant portion of the documentary. Hannah revealed a great deal of truth—not only corroborating what my mom did to me, but also discussing things she experienced at my mother’s hands. So now I believe she’s trying to do pre-damage control.”

Collin said Hannah should not be blamed for the tension, explaining, “My mom has put that guilt on her, and it isn’t Hannah’s fault. She deserves to have a relationship with her father, her mother and all of her siblings. Everyone should have that.”

Federal Prosecutors Say Woman Threatened to Shoot President Trump at College Football Game

A 36-year-old Alabama woman allegedly threatened to assassinate President Donald Trump, telling authorities she would “put a bullet through him” if he attended an Alabama-Georgia college football game.

Megan Lorraine Utz of Courtland was charged in a two-count federal indictment filed Oct. 22 with threatening the president and sending a threatening communication across state lines, authorities announced.

The criminal complaint alleges that Utz shared a news story on Facebook on Oct. 5 about Trump’s scheduled appearance at the Oct. 10 game in Tuscaloosa. She reportedly added: “He’s not allowed in my stadium! I’ll put a bullet through him if he dares.”

The story had originally appeared on the official Facebook page of WHNT, a CBS affiliate in Huntsville, Alabama.

Investigators identified the account, which used the name “Kase Utz,” by comparing its profile photograph with Utz’s Alabama driver’s license photo. Both images showed the same person and featured what the complaint described as “a distinctive neck tattoo.” Meta, Facebook’s parent company, also provided the account holder’s date of birth, which matched the information on Utz’s license, as well as recent location data connected to an address in Florence, Alabama.

On Oct. 6, federal agents and local police went to the Salvation Army in Florence. Employees told them Utz had departed in a light blue, two-door pickup truck and might be staying at a nearby “squatting house.”

Agents located the truck outside the house and knocked. Utz allegedly opened the door briefly before closing and locking it. A man inside gave investigators verbal permission to enter and search the residence. While officers were clearing the house, another man said Utz had fled on foot and pointed them in the direction she had taken. She was arrested on an unrelated warrant for harassing communications, and authorities seized her cellphone.

After receiving her Miranda rights, Utz was interviewed by investigators. She allegedly said she could not remember the last time she had accessed Facebook and claimed her phone had been hacked. The complaint quotes the exchange:

I asked Utz, “Why did you make that post?”, referring to the post threatening to put a bullet through President Trump. Utz responded, “I just wanted my phone scanned… and the next time that this happens, somebody always gets hurt and someone always dies.” I asked, “Whenever you make a post like that?” Utz replied, “Whenever somebody gets in my phone.” I then asked, “So you’re saying somebody got in your phone and made that post?” Utz stated, “I’m telling you, I’ve got screenshots of malware apps that take my password and load it into another app… and then load it into this little file. There is a file in my phone that says ‘QM,’ and in its description it says ‘exception,’ and this is the second time I’ve had to delete it.”

Utz allegedly went on to say that “malware” and “cyber stuff” on her cellphone could “hack into government systems,” adding that no one would listen to her. She then asked the agent, “How am I going to shoot him?”

Utz is scheduled for arraignment on Nov. 4.
