Effective Thigh Muscle Restoration Exercises for Over 65s: Top 4 Alternatives to Lunges

0

As people pass the age of 65, maintaining thigh strength can significantly boost mobility confidence. These four straightforward exercises are perfect for practicing at home.

>

The strength of your thighs is crucial in moving confidently post-65. Essential muscles like the quadriceps and hamstrings enable you to rise from a chair, climb stairs effortlessly, navigate obstacles, and stabilize as you lower down. Many older individuals often default to lunges, believing that these single-leg exercises are necessary for a real workout. However, starting with a simpler routine designed for the home can be more beneficial, as it avoids balance issues that could limit overall movement growth.

To preserve and even rebuild muscle in the thighs, they need regular resistance training. It doesn’t always mean using hefty weights. Exercises such as controlled squats, step-ups, bridges, and leg extensions provide ample workouts for the quads and hamstrings. These routines allow for difficulty adjustment based on your current fitness level. Plus, they reinforce familiar movements that translate into daily activities, making your workouts both beneficial and practical.

Having guided individuals over 65 for many years, I’ve observed that sticking to a routine outshines opting for the most challenging workouts. These four home exercises are designed to fortify the primary thigh muscles, while also strengthening the hips and enhancing knee control. All you need is a sturdy chair, a low step, and your own body weight. Incorporate these exercises into your weekly routine several times, offering your legs the consistent challenge necessary to enhance strength and capability.

Chair Squats

Chair squats provide an excellent way to strengthen the thighs without requiring the balance demanded by traditional lunges. Every repetition targets the quadriceps and glutes while your hamstrings help control the descent. I especially like the chair because it provides a consistent depth target and gives you a safety point if your legs become fatigued. Focus on lowering slowly rather than dropping onto the seat because controlling your body downward creates a valuable strength challenge. As your legs improve, you can gradually increase the number of repetitions or hold light weights.

How to Do It

  • Stand in front of a sturdy chair.
  • Place your feet about shoulder-width apart.
  • Push your hips backward.
  • Bend your knees and lower toward the chair.
  • Lightly touch the seat.
  • Press through your feet to stand.
  • Complete 10 to 15 repetitions.

5 Best Bodyweight Core Exercises That Build Strength Faster Than Planks After 55

Low Step-Ups

Step-ups closely mimic stair climbing, making them one of my favorite exercises for rebuilding functional thigh strength. Each repetition requires the quadriceps and glutes to lift your body while the supporting leg stabilizes your knee and hip. I recommend starting with a low, sturdy step because controlled movement matters much more than height. Clients often notice everyday stairs become easier after consistently practicing step-ups. This exercise also gives each leg an opportunity to work independently without requiring the complicated balance of a forward lunge.

How to Do It

  • Stand behind or beside a sturdy low step.
  • Place one foot completely on the step.
  • Press through that foot to step up.
  • Bring the opposite foot up.
  • Step down slowly.
  • Alternate your lead leg.
  • Perform 8 to 12 repetitions per side.

Seated Leg Extensions

If your thighs need extra strengthening without placing your full body weight through your legs, seated leg extensions offer an excellent option. The movement directly targets the quadriceps while the chair provides complete support for your torso. I often use this exercise with clients who struggle with standing exercises because it allows them to build strength before progressing to more demanding movements. Pause briefly when the leg reaches its comfortable straight position and lower slowly to increase the challenge. That controlled tempo makes a surprisingly big difference.

How to Do It

  • Sit tall in a sturdy chair.
  • Keep both feet flat on the floor.
  • Extend one leg until it’s comfortably straight.
  • Squeeze the front of your thigh.
  • Pause briefly.
  • Lower your foot slowly.
  • Alternate legs for 10 to 15 repetitions per side.

4 Chair Exercises That Restore Leg Strength Faster Than Gym Workouts After 60

Glute Bridges

Strong thighs work best when the muscles around the hips provide a solid foundation. Glute bridges primarily target the glutes and hamstrings, but they also teach your lower body to generate force while your core stabilizes the spine. I include them because weak hips often force the thighs to compensate during squats, stairs, and walking. Building the posterior chain creates a more balanced lower body and helps your legs produce power more efficiently. You’ll also strengthen muscles that traditional lunges don’t always challenge as effectively.

How to Do It

  • Lie on your back with your knees bent.
  • Keep your feet flat on the floor.
  • Tighten your abdominal muscles.
  • Press through your heels.
  • Lift your hips toward the ceiling.
  • Pause and squeeze your glutes.
  • Lower slowly.
  • Complete 12 to 15 repetitions.

Tragedy Strikes: Father Killed, Leaving Fiancée and Six Children Grieving

0

Tragedy has struck a steel plant in Indiana, claiming the life of a military veteran and father of six, leaving a fiancée and his young children grieving.

Jonathan Stepp, 28, lost his life on Thursday in a tragic accident at the Cleveland Cliffs Burns Harbor Plant, located near Chicago in the northwestern corner of Indiana.

Stepp’s identity was confirmed by those close to him on social media, as well as the IUOE Local 150 union, of which he was a dedicated member.

At the time of the fatal incident, the dedicated father was operating a pot hauler, a substantial vehicle designed for the transporting and dumping of containers filled with molten slag.

While authorities have refrained from disclosing further details about the incident, questions remain over what led to this devastating accident.

Stepp was employed by a company called Phoenix Services, which was contracted by Cleveland Cliffs to provide industrial services at the Burns Harbor plant. Phoenix Services is owned by SunCoke Energy Inc.

Sharon Doyle, a spokesperson for SunCoke Energy, shared a statement with the Daily Mail that said: ‘Thursday night, we suffered the tragic loss of one of our employees at our Burns Harbor, Indiana operations.

‘Our hearts are with his family, and we are supporting them and our team during this difficult time.

‘The safety of our employees is our highest priority. We have been in contact with Indiana OSHA and are fully cooperating with the agency, local authorities, and emergency responders to investigate the incident.’

The spokesperson did not address the Daily Mail’s questions about what may have caused the accident.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Cliffs, the company that operates the plant where Stepp died, likewise did not share more details about the accident and merely said: ‘A formal investigation into the incident is underway.’

According to a statement released by IUOE Local 150, which called Stepp a ‘brother’ and ‘one of our own,’ he was a second-generation member of the union and an operating engineer.

On his Facebook page, Stepp described himself as ‘Proud to be Union, Proud to be a Veteran, but most importantly, Proud to be a Father.’

Stepp’s fiancée, Sierra Knoll, said on Facebook that she is a stay-at-home mom who has been left to care for the couple’s six children without any income at the moment.

‘As if that loss were not enough, Sierra is also facing needed home repairs after a recent storm caused damage to her house. Right now, she is carrying emotional pain, financial stress, and the day-to-day needs of her household all at once,’ the fundraiser added.

Chaos on Long Island: Drivers’ Street Takeover with Tire-Screeching Stunts Shocks Community

0

In a swift response to an alleged street takeover, police took decisive action by arresting fifteen individuals and seizing seven vehicles on a Long Island road early Saturday morning. This operation targeted a chaotic scene featuring reckless driving, burnouts, and donuts, authorities confirmed.

Prior to the Friday night event on August 14, Suffolk County Police Department’s Street Takeover Task Force intercepted plans for the gathering. They had leveraged intelligence operations and monitored social media channels closely to anticipate the illegal activity.

Detectives discovered the group’s intentions to conduct a street takeover in Suffolk County, which spans approximately 1,000 square miles on the eastern part of Long Island.

Throughout the night, the authorities tracked the movements of the group as they migrated between various sites, successfully keeping tabs on their location changes.

Police say vehicles performed donuts and burnouts as spectators gathered during a street takeover in Medford, New York, early Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026.

In Medford, New York, during the early hours of Saturday, August 15, 2026, vehicles were observed performing stunts such as donuts and burnouts, attracting a crowd of onlookers, according to police reports. (Suffolk County Police Department)

Officers first broke up attempted gatherings near Commack Road and Sunrise Highway in Islip before disrupting another near Route 112 and Main Street in Patchogue.

Police finally intercepted the crowd around 12:50 a.m. Saturday near Woodside Avenue and Sawgrass Drive in Medford, where authorities said numerous vehicles had effectively shut down the roadway.

“Numerous vehicles effectively closed down the roadway on Sawgrass Drive by driving recklessly, performing stunts in the roadway, and doing donuts and burnouts,” police said.

Members of the Street Takeover Task Force responded to the scene, arresting 15 people, impounding seven vehicles and handing out multiple traffic tickets, according to the department.

Those arrested came from communities across Long Island and New York City, police said.

Fourteen of the 15 suspects were charged with both participating in an unlawful speed contest and spectating an unlawful speed contest.

The crackdown comes just weeks after another massive street takeover rocked Suffolk County.

In that incident, police said at least 200 ATVs, dirt bikes and motorcycles flooded roads in Hauppauge and Brentwood, prompting another major law-enforcement response.

Three people were arrested, and 10 vehicles were impounded during that operation, according to Suffolk County Police.

The Suffolk County Police Department could not immediately be reached by News Media for comment.

Hanson Criticizes Sydney Mardi Gras, Advocates for Privacy in Expressions of Sexuality

0

Pauline Hanson stands by her controversial remarks from years ago, asserting that she believes people’s sexual orientations should remain a private matter.

Her statements come on the heels of a fellow party member proclaiming that One Nation is among the most LGBTQ-friendly political groups in Australia.

During a noteworthy 1996 segment on 60 Minutes, the leader of the right-leaning party candidly expressed her disapproval of the annual LGBTIQ+ celebration by saying, “I don’t like it.”

At the time, she explained her disdain, stating, “I don’t like it because it’s promoting something… that is not natural.”

In the years following, her statement was immortalized by drag artist Pauline Pantsdown, who transformed it into a satirical dance track. This parody hit even secured a spot in the 1998 Triple J Hottest 100.

A drag queen addresses the media, surrounded by marriage equality flags and smiling journalists.

Three decades later, Senator Hanson said she acknowledged the economic benefit of the pride parade, adding that it was “acceptable” Australia had legalised gay marriage.

“I still don’t like the gay Mardi Gras, but that’s my opinion,” she told News24 on Sunday.

“Have I ever been to one? No. Do I intend to go? No, I don’t.

“I think your own, personal sexuality should be kept … behind closed doors. It’s no one’s business to do it out there with the gay Mardi Gras anywhere.

“I know it brings a lot of tourists to the country. I know it brings a lot of money. I know all this, but that’s my personal opinion. But anyway, good luck to them that they want to do that.”

Her comments follow revelations One Nation’s candidate for Western Australia’s upper house at the 2025 election, Parminder Singh, made several anti-gay comments in a video on social media.

Mr Singh, who was third on One Nation’s upper house ticket at the state election, has since been removed from the party’s website, after the video became public.

During the week, One Nation MP Barnaby distanced the party from its former candidate’s views, describing it as “one of the gayest parties in Australia”.

Senator Hanson also rejected Ms Singh’s comments, saying she never heard similar views from him when he was a candidate.

“That’s his personal thoughts and not my thoughts whatsoever,” she said.

Hanson defends inability to name world leaders

The firebrand politician also defended her inability to name the leaders of crucial allies and regional powers when questioned about her foreign policy credentials as a would-be prime minister.

In an earlier interview with News24, the One Nation leader said diplomacy with Australia’s neighbours would pose “no problem”, despite her notoriously using her maiden speech in 1996 to declare the nation was “in danger of being swamped by Asians”.

Asked if she could name the president of Indonesia or the prime minister of Japan, two major regional powers and key Australian trading partners, Senator Hanson said she couldn’t.

On Sunday, she said she would learn the names when it was necessary.

“I still haven’t looked up who the prime minister of Indonesia is because I don’t need to know … I’m not the foreign minister, I’m not the prime minister,” Senator Hanson said.

The One Nation leader also reiterated her party’s position that Australia’s net migration target should be 130,000 a year — a significant cut on current levels.

She suggested the reduction could come at the expense of international students, a major source of income for universities, describing the intake system as a “farce” and a “scam” providing a back door into the nation.

But she was adamant any cut to migration should not alter backpacker levels.

“We cannot stop those people coming in; if they did, the farmers would go under,” Senator Hanson said.

None of the major parties have outlined which visa categories should be cut to meet their reduced migration targets.

Sid Wilson’s Explosive Departure: Slipknot Split Unfolds in Dramatic Social Media Clash

0

Sid Wilson has confirmed his departure from Slipknot by altering his Instagram bio, ending any speculation about his connection to the band.

Earlier this month, in a surprising turn of events, Wilson was dismissed from the iconic heavy metal group. Slipknot officially announced the split on Friday through a statement on the Instagram page for their music festival, Knotfest.

In response, the 49-year-old DJ and keyboardist made a definitive statement by updating his Instagram bio from “@slipknot gang since 1997” to simply “@slipknot 1997-2026.”

Wilson had been a part of Slipknot since before the release of their eponymous debut album in 1999 and had contributed to the band for nearly three decades before being let go.

According to TMZ, Wilson’s departure was not abrupt but rather a culmination of mounting issues, with his bandmates reportedly having reached the end of their patience regarding his conduct towards them.

Slipknot’s statement Friday read, “Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson.”

They band added, “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

But the messaging from Slipknot about Wilson’s departure has been messy. The band initially deleted their Instagram post announcing he was no longer with Slipknot, and guitarist Jim Root previously shared a cryptic message after TMZ broke the news of Wilson’s firing.

“Don’t believe everything you read,” Root wrote via his Instagram Stories. “Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile (sic). Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there’s more information.”

Wilson hasn’t made a statement about no longer being with the band aside from his sneaky profile update.

It’s been a rough time for the musician as the firing came just months after news broke that he and his now ex-fiancée, Kelly Osbourne, called off their engagement. The couple dated for four years and share a 3-year-old son, Sidney.

Osbourne, 41, took a vicious public swipe at her ex days after he was fired in an Instagram Story she later deleted.

“Wake the f–k up and take some responsibility I will not take your s–t anymore! I’m done,” she heatedly wrote.

“I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise. Leave me alone. Let me heal. I can’t protect you from yourself anymore,” she continued.

In another post, she added, “Also while I’m at it can I have my dogs back and all my possessions. Oh yeah and maybe some child support?”

Heroic Rescue: Young Girl Saved from Drowning in Family Basement Flood

0

In a heart-stopping moment amidst devastating Indiana floods, a mother discovered her two-year-old daughter drowning in their basement. Fortunately, the child survived, although the natural disaster has tragically claimed the lives of seven others.

Caught in days-long torrents, young Alayna found herself ensnared when rising waters engulfed her Rush County home, according to her family. The dreadful ordeal unfolded as the state battled severe flooding.

At the center of this harrowing scene was Alayna’s mother, Becky, who was home with her daughter and 13-year-old son, Liem. The crisis struck while Alayna’s father was away, as revealed in a heartfelt GoFundMe campaign initiated by the toddler’s aunt.

In swift action, when Alayna was found drowning, Liem dialed 911 as Becky commenced CPR on her daughter, fighting against time and tide.

With emergency vehicles blocked by the high floodwaters, relief came through an unexpected hero. A local farmer, using his tractor, managed to transport emergency responders to Alayna, according to her aunt, Poshia.

She was airlifted to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and remains in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Alayna was initially put on a ventilator before having her ‘EEG monitor removed after showing no signs of seizure activity’ on Saturday.

She contracted a bacterial infection in her lungs from the incident, but on Sunday, her family shared that Alayna is finally breathing on her own.

‘After successfully completing her breathing trials—including one where she was able to breathe completely on her own for 31 minutes—Alayna passed her second breathing trial today,’ her aunt shared in an update.

Alayna has since been taken off a ventilator and her oxygen levels continue to rise. She has also been crying, but it something that her family is grateful to hear.

‘Hearing her cry after everything she has been through is a sound we never imagined we would be so grateful to hear,’ her aunt said.

Although she has greatly improved, the toddler is not entirely out of the woods yet as she is running a small fever that is likely linked to the infection she contracted.

‘There is still a long road ahead for our sweet girl, and we know we aren’t out of the woods yet. But today, we are celebrating a HUGE victory,’ the page read.

As of Sunday afternoon, more than $12,000 had been raised to help her family with mounting medical bills and treatments for Alayna.

At least seven people lost their lives in the floods, including Matthew Morey, 18, Stephanie Jo Sallee, 58, and James Briar, a 31-year-old bicyclist, officials confirmed.

A four-year-old boy died after a tree fell on him and woman was struck and killed by fallen debris from a roof, reports stated. Two other females also died. Their identities are unknown at this time.

Matthew Morey’s body was recovered on Saturday from the Mississinewa River after he was reported missing, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said.

Search efforts for the 18-year-old began after he and a group of people jumped into the water near Muncie on Wednesday, officials said.

It is unclear why they jumped into the water. Sheriff’s deputies helped pull three people to safety, but they couldn’t locate Morey.

Because of dangerous conditions, the search for Morey was suspended on Thursday amid the ‘once in a lifetime’ sweeping floods.

Stephanie Jo Sallee and her dog Faith also died in the flood after she was driving a vehicle ‘through moving water’ on the road, Jeff Stanley, the chief deputy of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, said.

Jo Sallee, 58, was found in a cornfield after her car got swept away. Her pug, Faith, was found deceased inside the vehicle on Saturday afternoon.

Police believe that she tried to exit her vehicle after it was swept into the field before being ‘overcome by the moving water,’ Stanley said.

Her family has remembered her as someone with a big heart who ‘never judged people.’

James Briar, 31, also died after he rode his bike around flooded barricades and onto a collapsed road that fell apart due to heavy rainfall, the New Castle Mayor¿s Office confirmed

Dana White’s Furious Reaction to Ian Machado Garry’s UFC Loss

0

It seems Ian Machado Garry’s amiability might be working against him.

Critics were quick to point this out after UFC 330, where Islam Makhachev reigned supreme, defending his welterweight title by unanimous decision. Garry, appearing in his first championship bout, seemed to lack the aggression anticipated at such a pivotal moment.

UFC President Dana White was among those who felt Garry fell short, expressing his thoughts candidly during the post-event media briefing.

“Here’s what I honestly believe; tonight was primed for an upset,” White remarked at the UFC 330 post-fight interview. “With so much at stake, including all of Islam’s records and his aim to surpass Anderson Silva, it seemed possible. There’s a reason for weight classes. Ian Garry is tall, strong, and has excellent takedown defense. Just look at how he fended off Islam tonight; it was remarkable.”

White further elaborated, “Ian possesses talent. Had he embraced a touch of killer instinct in that final round—he was landing body shots effectively. Islam’s right side took a beating, his face showed it. At such a crucial point, you don’t exchange pleasantries. That complacency makes me insane given what was on the line.”

Makhachev himself lent voice to this following the victory, in which he led 49-46 on two scorecards and 48-47 on the third.

“Honestly, I don’t understand,” Makhachev said about Garry. “This is a fight. This is not something we have to hug each other every round. We’re going to war. We’re going to break the face, to break the eye. I respect all my opponents. But [maybe he’s young]. He respects too much.”

Makhachev added that he still thinks highly of Garry, but ultimately echoed White’s sentiment.

“I respect him. He’s a good guy. Very kind. But this is a war,” the champion said. “Look at my face. I just come to beat everything. It’s not something you have to play. This is a fight. This is not a game.”

White later said in his presser that he wishes he could replay at least the final round of the bout.

“There’s also a lot of mental gamesmanship, whatever you want to call it, in this game,” said White. “You come out in that fifth round with a flying knee or something crazy, and you try to finish the fight. I think that this is one of those fights that Ian will go back and watch and say, ‘F–k, I wish I could do that over again.’”

With the win, Makhachev, 34, broke Silva’s record for the longest-winning streak in UFC history with 17.

The win improved Makhachev’s record to 29-1, with his only loss coming in his second UFC appearance back in October of 2015, where he was knocked out by MMA journeyman Adriano Martins.

Garry, 28, dropped to 17-2, with losses in two of his last four bouts.

In 2023, the seasoned star told People magazine that he views aging positively.

‘I don’t want to be young again,’ he declared to the outlet, adding, ‘I was young, and now I enjoy being old.’

He reflected, ‘You are certainly physically diminished by age but there are wonderful things about age – richness of experience, the full weight of all the time you’ve been spending getting to being old – and there’s a certain ease in it for me.’

In March, Ford received the Life Achievement award at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards.

He got emotional as he looked back on his decades-long career in the entertainment industry and called himself a ‘lucky guy.’

‘I feel incredibly grateful for this kind attention, but to be clear, I’m also quite humbled,’ he began.

‘I’m in a room of actors, many of whom are here because they’ve been nominated to receive a prize for their amazing work,’ the actor said before teasing, ‘Well, I’m here to receive a prize for being alive.’

Trump Directs Pentagon to Reduce US-South Korea Joint Military Drills

WASHINGTON – In a surprising turn of events, President Donald Trump directed the Pentagon on Sunday to significantly dial back joint military exercises with South Korea. The decision came after Trump expressed discontent over South Korea’s refusal to aid in denuclearizing Iran, a move he emphasized during discussions.

Trump took to social media, branding the scheduled military drills as prohibitively expensive and “misguided,” suggesting they project an aggressive stance toward North Korea. He contended that North Korea has maintained a respectful and non-threatening posture throughout his presidency.

Emphasizing a sense of urgency, Trump announced, “Considering it’s too late for a full cancellation, I’ve instructed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to significantly scale down the Joint Military Exercises!”

The planned 11-day exercises were intended to involve 18,000 South Korean troops, enhancing defense capabilities against potential North Korean aggression. The announcement has prompted shifts in strategic planning.

The exercises were set to test the combined prowess of U.S. and South Korean forces through a range of complex operation scenarios. These included live-fire drills focusing on precision targeting, tactical maneuvers, wet gap crossings, and deploying prepositioned equipment, according to U.S. military sources.

A day earlier, Trump posted a photo of himself standing next to North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, writing that the two leaders get along great “despite the unfriendly look on this particular picture.”

North Korea’s Foreign Ministry has called the U.S.-South Korean training “a rehearsal for an aggressive war” that is triggering a different level of instability in the region.

Trump met with the reclusive North Korean leader three times during his first term to discuss the country’s nuclear program, most recently in 2019. Since returning to office, Trump has expressed interest in continuing those discussions.

This is not the first time that Trump has sought to end the exercises. During his first term he also issued a surprise announcement that called the wargames “provocative.”

“We will be stopping the war games, which will save us a tremendous amount of money, unless and until we see the future negotiation is not going along like it should,” Trump told reporters after his 2018 meeting with Kim Jong Un in Singapore.

Police in Tennessee halted Tyronne Brazille, 50, of Baton Rouge, for a traffic violation only to uncover a grim scene—his wife, Lanessa Bradford, also 50, was found dead in the car with a gunshot wound. This discovery was reported by local CBS affiliate WREG.

According to a close friend who spoke to WREG, Bradford had intended to leave Brazille and had formulated a plan to do so. Tragically, this plan was cut short following an argument with Brazille at a park in Baton Rouge.

The friend noted that although the couple had been together for years, their relationship was troubled, marred by marital problems. She also mentioned that Brazille struggled with mental health issues.

“[Bradford] was going to just vanish,” the pal, Shelicka Decker, told WREG. “That was the only way she would be able to get away from him. She was going to leave her car, she was going to leave all the things behind, and she had been in touch with her family that was out of town, and that’s how she was going to make this move to get away.”

According to police, Brazille was pulled over in downtown Memphis after driving through several states with Bradford propped up in his car’s passenger seat. Cops took him into custody after seeing that she was dead and booked him as a fugitive.

“I have so many questions,” Decker said. “Like, what were you doing in the car with her that amount of time while she was deceased. Where was his mind at during that ride? Like, it’s so crazy. It’s so crazy and heartbreaking.”

Decker told WREG that Bradford worked at an elementary school and her colleagues requested a welfare check after she missed several days of work. Decker said Bradford told her that Brazille threatened to kill Bradford or himself if she ever tried to leave him, and that he was abusive.

“He never put his hands on her up until recently, like maybe like two or three months ago,” Decker alleged. “It wouldn’t have surprised me if someone had called and said that he killed himself because he always says this. It surprised me that he killed her.”

Brazille is scheduled to appear in court Monday in Memphis and is expected to be extradited to Louisiana, where he will face a charge of murder in connection with Bradford’s death, WREG reports.

“It’s such an unfortunate situation,” Decker said. “My prayers are with her family and friends as well as his, because we were all friends. We all, you know, hung around each other, and this is just not the same person that we grew up with.”

Describing Bradford, Decker added, “She was such a good person.”
