Meet Peregrine Pearson: The Aristocrat Linked with Sophie Turner

The world of nobility and celebrity intertwined recently as an aristocrat, linked to the upper echelons of British society, was spotted in a passionate embrace with actress Sophie Turner, famous for her role in Game of Thrones. His family fortune, no less than a staggering £224 million, underscores the tale of wealth and connection that dates to the suitor’s past, which includes a romantic history with the goddaughter of King Charles.

Meet Peregrine Pearson: the inheritor of the impressive legacy of Michael Pearson, the 4th Viscount Cowdray. Once a film producer, Viscount Cowdray holds a substantial stake in the Pearson media conglomerate, positioning his family among Britain’s wealthiest clans.

At 29, Peregrine resides in a luxurious £5 million Chelsea abode, while his father, the Viscount, lords over an expansive West Sussex estate. This impressive property boasts 22 bedrooms and spans 16,500 acres, complete with 10 world-class polo pitches, setting the scene for elite gatherings.

Previously linked romantically to Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark, a 27-year-old model, Peregrine recently parted ways with her. The split, surfacing in September, was attributed to their growing apart.

A snapshot immortalized by The Sun captured Peregrine and Sophie Turner locked in a kiss on a Parisian street, their public affection preceding their joint appearance at the Rugby World Cup. This sighting adds a twist to the narrative, occurring only a month after Turner’s ex-husband, Joe Jonas, initiated divorce proceedings.

An onlooker who spotted Sophie and Peregrine in Paris said: ‘They arrived together at the chauffeur pick-up location outside of the station.

‘It looked like they might have both come on the Eurostar from London.’

While Sophie is said to be worth a whopping £10million, this pales in comparison to Peregrine’s family fortune.

His ancestral estate is home to Cowdray Park Polo Club, which boasts 10 pitches and hosts more than 450 matches each year.

The prestigious club hosts the annual Gold Cup, where both Prince William and Prince Harry have played. The Gold Cup is polo’s most prestigious European event.

The main Cowdray House, bought in 1908 by Peregrine’s great-great-grandfather Weetman Dickinson Pearson, has 120 acres of formal gardens and woodland.

The house was a replacement for a Tudor manor built by the Montague family, which burnt down in 1793.

In 2009, Lord and Lady Cowdray reportedly decided to put the estate on the market for £25million, but decided they couldn’t part with the property and instead started hosting luxury events there, with Cowdray Hall now serving as a wellness centre.

Cowdray Hall offers spiritual workshops, retreats and weekly classes, and features a chapel used for yoga, Pilates and meditation.

Peregrine previously admitted that despite being the heir to the sprawling estate, which also features a farm shop and café, he does not play polo himself.

He told the Telegraph in 2018: ‘I’m getting lessons, I grew up riding and over the next few years it’s something I can see myself doing a lot more.’

The publication also reported that Peregrine was taking a more active role in running the estate and was shadowing chief executive Jonathan Russell to learn about the intricacies of the polo club.

‘It’s great to be able to observe it from a distance and see what my future role is going to be,’ Peregrine said.

Peregrine’s own children will not grow up on the Cowdray Estate due to it being transformed into an events venue, but Peregrine said he isn’t upset at the prospect as he looked towards the future.

‘Having heard the stress of managing these type of houses, it’s the perfect compromise,’ he told The Telegraph.

‘The house is still an important part of the community and a valuable employer, without costing us money to run. And I still have the luxury of using it when I like.’

Peregrine, known to friends as Perry, began dating his ex, Princess Maria-Olympia, in 2020.

Friends began whispering about the state of their relationship when Peregrine was conspicuous by his absence at the Chelsea-based model’s 27th birthday party in July.

After their split, Olympia, the only daughter of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and his wife, Marie-Chantal Miller, ‘unfollowed’ Peregrine on Instagram.

She also deleted all traces of him on her account on the picture-sharing app.

‘They grew apart,’ a source told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden at the time. ‘Their friends and family were hoping their union would lead to marriage, but it wasn’t meant to be.’

Olympia’s grandfather is King Constantine, a relation of the late Prince Philip, who was exiled from Greece following the 1967 coup. The family continue to use their royal titles decades after the abolition of the monarchy.

Their split came after Peregrine was absent from the model’s 27th birthday party two months earlier in July.

The couple had not been seen in public together since November 2022, and did not holiday together this year after three consecutive summers of doing so.

Instead, the Princess visited Italy and Greece with family and friends including actress Poppy Delevingne, who has been linked to her brother Prince Constantine Alexios.

Meanwhile, Peregrine spent his summer with pals in Cow Neck, New York state, as well as in Spain with family. He also went to the Burning Man festival in Nevada.

However, Olympia looked far from downcast on Wednesday as she spent time with celebrity chef Thomas Straker amid her ex’s new rumoured romance.

Olympia and Thomas appeared to be joking and laughing as they walked down the street together.

Thomas, 33, has a huge social media presence with 1.4million followers on Instagram, 2.1million on TikTok and 250,000 on YouTube, and runs a restaurant in Notting Hill.

Preferring to stay out of the spotlight, Peregrine’s Instagram is private and is followed by Jamie Redknapp and Olivia Bentley. Sophie Turner is now listed among his followers.

In August, it emerged that Peregrine’s father Lord Cowdray and his wife Marina, the Viscountess Cowdray, had separated after 36 years of marriage.

Break-up: It comes after Sophie recently reached a temporary custody agreement with Joe Jonas (pictured in March 2022) last month, following their split

‘It’s highly acrimonious,’ a family friend claimed to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden at the time.

‘Marina has walked out of the marriage. Michael [the viscount] is devastated. The New Age stuff has changed her.’

Marina, the daughter of late Tory MP John Cordle, was Michael’s second wife. He was previously married to Fritzi (Ellen) Erhardt, the daughter of a German industrialist.

As well as Peregrine, the couple also have a daughter Eliza Pearson, 35, who married Ned Rocknroll – who changed his surname from Abel Smith – in 2009.

Princess Beatrice was among the guests at the open-air pagan wedding ceremony led by a druid, but the pair went their separate ways just years later.

Ned, a nephew of Virgin billionaire Sir Richard Branson, went on to marry actress Kate Winslet in 2012 and the couple are still together.

Meanwhile, Eliza went on to marry Norwegian financier Leif Kvaal and they have three children together, according to Tatler.

As well as Peregrine and Eliza, Lord Cowdray and his wife also have daughters Emily and Catrina, and another son Montague.

Lord Cowdray also has a son called Sebastian from a previous relationship with model Barbara Ray.

Reflecting on his childhood in 2018, Peregrine said his artist mother Marina never forced them to play polo, despite growing up on the grounds of a prestigious polo club, and allowed them to be ‘creative’.

He told the Telegraph how he and his siblings would spend a lot of time with their mother in her pottery studio in the garden as the heir of the Cowdray fortune looked back on his upbringing.

Florida Cold Case Cracked: 1987 Murder Suspect Confesses

0

A Florida man accused in the decades-old murder of a young mother reportedly confessed when he voluntarily contacted authorities. Investigators claim that Gary Edward Glowacz, charged in this cold case, shared details about the crime scene that had never been publicly released before.

Now 70 years old, Glowacz faces charges of second-degree murder and armed burglary with assault or battery in connection with the 1987 death of 20-year-old Melissa Ellison. Court documents reviewed by News Media indicate these charges stem from Ellison’s death at her home in Jacksonville on December 28, 1987.

The tragic scene unfolded when Ellison’s roommates found her 13-month-old child sobbing alone on a living room couch. The child’s cries led them to Ellison, who was discovered lying lifeless on her bed, as noted in the arrest report for Glowacz.

Investigative reports detail that Ellison suffered severe blunt-force injuries to her head and neck. Blood was present on her bedsheets, and her head was oddly positioned beneath a pillow while her nightgown was pulled up over her waist. Detectives also identified soot or ash traces, linking them to a log believed to have been used in the attack.

The case remained unsolved for decades.

On July 8, 2026, Glowacz called authorities in Clay County and said he wanted to “set things straight” about Ellison’s death, according to the arrest report. Police said he told a deputy that he had committed a burglary at the home and had struck Ellison with a log.

During a subsequent interview with Jacksonville cold case detectives, Glowacz allegedly said he had been using narcotics at the time and entered the residence looking for money or property he could sell.

Glowacz told detectives he found Ellison and her baby in a bedroom, left the room, picked up a wooden log inside the residence and returned, according to the report. He allegedly said he struck Ellison once in the head, then carried the child into the living room and placed the baby on a couch.

Police said Glowacz then returned to the bedroom to look for money.

He allegedly told detectives he pulled Ellison’s body by the legs and lifted a corner of the mattress while searching underneath it.

Investigators said those details closely matched evidence documented at the scene in 1987.

The arrest report says that Glowacz accurately described the layout of the residence and where the log had been located.

Detectives wrote that those details had not previously been released publicly and were not contained in the article Glowacz said he read before contacting authorities.

Police also said law-enforcement databases showed Glowacz lived about half a mile from the crime scene in 1987 and had been arrested in connection with an unrelated burglary in the area on the same day Ellison was found dead.

According to the arrest report, Glowacz told detectives he had seen an article about the cold case in March 2026 and said that was when he realized Ellison had died.

According to investigators, he told them he had delayed coming forward until after the holiday season because he wished to spend time with his family. Police arrested Glowacz following the interview.

Prosecutors later formally charged him with second-degree murder and armed burglary with assault or battery.

The charging document alleges Glowacz killed Ellison by striking her while committing second-degree murder and entered or remained in her dwelling while armed with a dangerous weapon.

News Media has reached out to Glowacz’s public defender for comment.

Homeless Man Accused of Attempted Murder in Brutal Head Stabbing Incident

0

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In a startling turn of events today, Peter Ashley Thompson, aged 35, faces charges of attempted homicide following a brutal stabbing incident. The attack took place near a shopping center located on Archer Road, leaving the victim, who was asleep outdoors, in a critical state.

Responding swiftly at 8:25 a.m. on August 14, officers from the Gainesville Police Department arrived at the scene at 3581 SW Archer Road. They discovered a man suffering from multiple stab wounds inflicted on his head, chest, and arms. The victim’s injuries were severe enough to require immediate hospitalization, with one knife wound reportedly piercing his skull.

According to a bystander from a nearby business, the horrifying assault unfolded with the victim asleep on the ground. The suspect, described as a slender black male, allegedly approached, mounted the victim, and initiated the attack. As screams echoed, the witness observed a knife in the suspect’s hand. After the assault, the assailant reportedly wiped the knife on the victim’s blanket before disappearing behind a building, heading toward Kohl’s. The witness described the suspect as wearing a white shirt paired with light-colored, possibly khaki shorts.

Police soon secured the area and discovered a man matching the suspect’s description. Found outside a tent in a wooded area behind Goodwill at 3520 SW 34th Street, officers identified him as Thompson, who was seen cleaning his hands with water from a bottle.

The witness positively identified Thompson as the man who had stabbed the victim.

An officer reported that the entrance flap to the tent was open, and a pair of khaki shorts could be seen inside, lying on top of a large knife or machete.

A K-9 track was conducted from the scene of the stabbing, and the K-9 ended the track at Thompson’s tent.

Post Miranda, Thompson reportedly admitted to stabbing the victim in the face. He said he stabbed the victim because he was tired of people disturbing his property and tent area, and he believed the victim was associated with a group of people who had been disturbing his belongings. He said he went to Walmart this morning, and when he returned, he found that his tent area had been disturbed; he believed the victim was responsible for this, so he returned to where he had seen the victim and stabbed him with the intent of putting him in the hospital. He said he had hidden the knife in the bushes near his tent and had changed his clothes.

Thompson has been charged with attempted homicide. He has eight felony convictions (non-violent) and 21 misdemeanor convictions (one violent); he served three months in the Alachua County Jail earlier this year after entering a plea of nolo contendere to battery and trespassing. His bail (or a preliminary order to hold him without bail) will be set tomorrow.

NYC Designer Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra Allegedly Harassed and Accused of Fraud by Boat Owner Prior to Her Death: Texts Reveal

0

Just days before her tragic death aboard Chris Durnan’s boat, Hamptons fashion entrepreneur Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra claimed she was being “harassed” and wrongfully accused of fraud by the financier, according to text messages seen by The Post.

On August 1, 2025, the 33-year-old Nolan-O’Slatarra, a swimwear designer originally from Ireland, had blocked Durnan on her phone. This did not stop Durnan from sending a series of heated messages accusing Nolan-O’Slatara and her East x East business partner Dylan Grace of fraudulent activities.

In response to the escalating situation, Nolan-O’Slatara assured Grace that she planned to meet Durnan, who had invested about 13% in their company in 2022 for the sum of $250,000, to directly address these allegations.

“Oh god . . . I’ll meet him Monday,” Nolan-O’Slatarra confirmed to Grace, as evidenced by the screenshots provided. She appeared determined to resolve the situation.

Dylan Grace then urged, “Can you unblock him for the weekend?” to which Martha promptly replied, “Did it.”

The next day, Nolan-O’Slatarra, who had blocked Durnan from calling her months earlier, complained that Durnan was aggressively messaging her.

“I’m getting harassed,” Nolan-O’Slatarra wrote to Grace on Aug. 2. “He won’t stop texting me like 10 times.”

The Irish-born beauty wrote that Durnan was saying “shite like you ghosting me” and that Durnan was “looking for attention such a kid.”

Two days later, on Aug. 4, Nolan-O’Slatarra met Durnan for a business meeting. It would end in her death.

Nolan-O’Slatarra met Durnan on his boat “Hell in a Bucket” at about 7:30 p.m. at the Montauk Yacht Club and the two took the boat out for a tour and drank champagne at sunset, which was at 8:08 p.m. that night, according to a New York Magazine report.

The pair then returned at an unknown time to the yacht club and moved to Durnan’s other boat, “Ripple,” the magazine reported.

What transpired is still the subject of a police investigation.

Here is the latest on the dead body found on a Montauk Yacht Club boat

EMTs who responded to the boat at midnight found Nolan-O’Slattara dead — cold to the touch, covered in blood, and purpling under her nailbeds.

She was completely clothed on a bed on the boat, while Durnan was stark naked on the dock, where he had hailed another man, who called 911 and performed CPR, according to an EMT report obtained by The Post.

Durnan has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with her death and he has also denied any involvement.

His lawyer claimed to New York Magazine that Durnan ditched his clothes because they were covered in Nolan-O’Slattara’s vomit, but the EMT report made no mention of vomit. His clothes were never recovered.

A photo obtained by The Post showed the pair on apparently good terms on Nov. 11, 2022.

In the image, snapped at roughly the time when he was investing, Nolan-O’Slatarra and Durnan sit smiling at a table covered in drinks, including champagne flutes and empty glasses of Guinness.

Nolan-O’Slatarra’s family filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit against Durnan in Manhattan Supreme Court.

“For months prior to that meeting, Martha had him blocked from messaging and only unblocked him at the request of her business partner to try to assuage Durnan’s complaints about the business,” said Mike Bowe, lawyer for Brithem LLP, which is representing Nolan-O’Slatarra’s family in their suit against Durnan.

“She agreed to meet him. She died at that meeting.”

The estate of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra opened up a tip line on Thursday seeking information that may help the investigation into her death.

Dylan Grace did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The Post also reached out to Chris Durnan and his attorney, Robert Holdman. Neither responded to requests for comment.

Abandoned Dreams: How Stolen Souvenirs Devastate an American Ghost Town

0

Nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, the forsaken Gold Rush town of Bodie has garnered a reputation as one of America’s most bewitched locales.

Local folklore warns that anyone who dares to take even a pebble, a rusty nail, or a pinch of dust from this eerie California ghost town risks encountering a string of dreadful misfortunes.

Tourists who couldn’t resist pocketing a keepsake have often attributed these items to a series of unfortunate events, including car crashes, serious health battles, job losses, and prolonged periods of personal chaos.

Some souvenirs proved so ominous that their owners were compelled to return them, sending back the cursed tokens with heartfelt apologies and pleas for Bodie’s mercy.

The park staff has amassed so many of these remorseful confession letters that they have curated an exhibit in the Bodie museum to showcase them, serving as a stern warning to future visitors.

One visitor admitted that their trail of misfortune was so long and depressing that they could not bear to list it.

Others warned that their lives began to unravel only after they dismissed the curse as harmless folklore.

But the sinister legend may have been created by a park ranger to frighten tourists into leaving the town’s historic treasures untouched.

Anyone who takes home anything from the town falls victim to terrible ill luck

Anyone who takes home anything from the town falls victim to terrible ill luck

Bodie stands in the Bodie Hills, east of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and close to California’s border with Nevada.

The former mining settlement is now preserved in a state of ‘arrested decay,’ with buildings stabilized but not restored and interiors maintained largely as they were left by their last occupants.

The town is also reputedly haunted by several ghosts, including a Chinese woman, a mysterious figure who peers from an upstairs window and a little girl whose laughter can supposedly be heard in the cemetery.

Kieron Connolly, author of Abandoned Places, a book about some of the world’s most mysterious abandoned locations, said Bodie’s eerie emptiness made it fertile ground for supernatural stories.

Connolly told the Daily Mail: ‘Whether you believe in the curse or not, you can see how the eerie emptiness of Bodie lends itself to the supernatural.

‘We expect towns to get bigger and busier and to be modernised. When we see somewhere that time has forgotten, unpopulated and left behind, we find it a bit unsettling – but fascinating.’

The letters sent back to Bodie offer chilling accounts from visitors who claim their troubles began after they removed objects from the town.

One, sent in 2004 with a collection of rocks, reads: ‘You can have these godforsaken rocks back. I’ve never had so much rotten luck in my life. Please forgive me for ever testing the curse of Bodie.’

By 1881, Reverend F.M. Warrington described the town as “A sea of sin, lashed by the tempests of lust and passion.”

By 1881, Reverend F.M. Warrington described the town as ‘A sea of sin, lashed by the tempests of lust and passion.’

Another visitor returned a shoe taken decades earlier.

‘Please find enclosed one weather-beaten old shoe. The shoe was removed from Bodie during the month of August 1978… My trail of misfortune is so long and depressing it can’t be listed here,’ the letter reads.

Even people who took seemingly worthless objects, including old nails and scraps of metal, later blamed them for a sudden run of bad luck.

One letter sent in 2003 said, ‘Dear Bodie… I’m sorry that I took this piece of metal from the town. I thought it was all a joke, but it wasn’t at all. Things are happening that are very hard to explain.’

Another, dated 1998, said, ‘So sorry for picking these up. I love antiques and being a Christian I felt so guilty for taking these on Monday. Not to mention Tuesday we got a flat tire and my husband hit his head on a rock.’

A visitor writing in 2002 issued an ominous warning to anyone tempted to test the legend.

‘Fair warning for anyone that thinks this is just folklore — my life has never seen such turmoil. Please take my warning and do not remove even a speck of dust.’

The stream of returned objects became so regular that park employees reportedly learned to recognize the packages when collecting Bodie’s mail.

The 'curse' itself is even more mysterious, with ill luck said to befall anyone who takes anything, no matter how small, from the town

The ‘curse’ itself is even more mysterious, with ill luck said to befall anyone who takes anything, no matter how small, from the town

Connolly said, “By 1940 the population was down to 40. Today, Bodie is maintained in a state of arrested decay as a visitor attraction.”

Connolly said, ‘By 1940 the population was down to 40. Today, Bodie is maintained in a state of arrested decay as a visitor attraction.’

However, California State Parks warns that returned objects create additional problems for the site.

Employees may be unable to prove that an item genuinely came from Bodie or determine its original location, meaning it cannot necessarily be placed back inside the park.

Processing the objects is also time-consuming, and park interpreter Catherine Jones said in 2018 that employees had to file a law-enforcement report for every returned item, regardless of its size.

Taking the objects is not merely an invitation for supernatural revenge – it is illegal.

California regulations prohibit visitors from removing rocks or disturbing objects of archaeological or historical interest inside state parks.

Officials also ask visitors not to pick up and move objects because Bodie is effectively a vast outdoor museum whose artifacts help tell the town’s story.

Long before it became associated with ghosts and curses, Bodie was one of California’s most notorious boomtowns.

Gold was discovered there in 1859 by W.S. Bodey, who died in a blizzard that same year while attempting to return to the site.

It remains unclear whether the town’s altered spelling resulted from a mistake or an attempt to make its pronunciation clearer.

Connolly said, ‘Gold was discovered at Bodie in 1859 (just after the initial California gold rush), and it went from mining camp to boomtown.’

Mining initially progressed slowly as richer discoveries elsewhere drew prospectors away.

But in the mid-1870s, the Bunker Hill Mine, later renamed the Standard Mining Company, struck a rich deposit of gold and silver ore.

The discovery triggered a rush, and by 1879 Bodie had approximately 8,500 residents and more than 2,000 buildings, according to California State Parks.

At its height, the town resembled something from a Western, with more than 60 saloons and dance halls lining its streets.

Gunfights, stagecoach robberies and street brawls helped give rise to the legend of the ‘Bad Man of Bodie,’ although historians believe the supposed outlaw was likely a composite of several lawless residents.

Bodie also had a sizeable Chinese community numbering several hundred people.

Its Chinatown contained general stores, laundries, boarding houses, gambling halls, saloons and a Taoist temple.

Chinese residents were largely excluded from white society and built what California State Parks describes as a ‘town within the town,’ where they could preserve their customs and traditions.

In 1881, Reverend F.M. Warrington described Bodie as ‘A sea of sin, lashed by the tempests of lust and passion.’

But the boom did not last.

Connolly said, ‘Its decline began in 1880, when word spread of new boomtowns elsewhere. The Standard Consolidated Mine closed in 1913, and four years later the Bodie Railway was abandoned.’

The town was already in decline by 1881 as rich deposits were exhausted, mining companies failed and residents departed for more profitable areas.

Its population had fallen to approximately 1,500 by 1886.

Fires subsequently destroyed much of Bodie, including a major blaze in 1932, and the settlement faded into a ghost town during the 1940s.

Others have warned visitors against taking even the smallest items from the town

Others have warned visitors against taking even the smallest items from the town

Connolly said, ‘By 1940 the population was down to 40. Today, Bodie is maintained in a state of arrested decay as a visitor attraction.’

The surviving portion of the town became a California State Historic Park in 1962 and was designated a National Historic Landmark.

Its deserted homes and violent past eventually spawned stories of restless spirits.

The J.S. Cain House is said to be haunted by a Chinese woman who reportedly dislikes adults but is fond of children.

Stories claim adults sleeping in the house have felt an invisible weight pressing down on them, while doors have allegedly opened and closed on their own.

The Dechambeau House is said to be visited by the apparition of a woman who peers from an upstairs window.

Bodie’s cemetery is also associated with the ghost of Evelyn Myers, known as the ‘Angel of Bodie.’

The three-year-old died in April 1897 after being accidentally struck in the head with a pickaxe while a worker was digging a drainage ditch near her family’s home.

Her grave is marked by a white marble angel, and legend holds that her laughter can still be heard around the cemetery.

The origins of the Bodie Curse are more recent, and apparently less supernatural.

Jones told KQED in 2018 that a lone park ranger had created the story years earlier in an attempt to stop visitors from stealing artifacts.

The abandoned Gold Rush town of Bodie in California is among America’s most mysterious

The abandoned Gold Rush town of Bodie in California is among America’s most mysterious

‘Years back,’ says Jones, a single park ranger at Bodie apparently invented the notion that misfortune would befall anyone who took something from the park. ‘That maybe if we started this idea that you’d have bad luck if you took artifacts from Bodie, it would try to keep people from stealing artifacts.’

Theft had plagued Bodie even before it became a state park, with one person reportedly removing an entire piano from the abandoned town and driving away with it.

That piano was eventually returned and placed inside Bodie’s Odd Fellows Hall.

But the strategy intended to protect the town had an unintended consequence.

Instead of simply discouraging theft, the legend apparently convinced visitors that returning stolen objects could reverse their misfortune, creating a steady flow of rocks, nails, glass and other items through the mail.

Skeptics say coincidence, guilt and the human tendency to connect unrelated events offer more likely explanations for the accidents, illnesses and other calamities described in the letters.

California State Parks now emphasizes the damage caused by removing artifacts rather than promoting the curse.

Officials warn that when an object is taken, part of Bodie’s history disappears with it, and mailing it back may not repair the harm.

Yet the letters continue to provide an ominous warning to anyone tempted to test the legend.

Whether the curse is supernatural or a remarkably effective piece of park folklore, many visitors have decided it is safer not to take the chance.

Diiadem Confronts Dabota Lawson Over Married Man Scandal, Alleges Rivalry with Ehi Ogbebor

Former reality show contestant Diiadem finds herself at the heart of swirling controversy concerning her past relationship with a married man. The drama intensifies as allegations fly, spurred by her former close associate, beauty mogul Dabota Lawson.

In response to the claims, Diiadem has spoken out, arguing that Dabota has been orchestrating a campaign against her reputation using blogs and social media outlets.

Diiadem alleges that Dabota has weaponized online narratives to malign her public image, a claim that has triggered a firestorm of public and media interest.

Diiadem, known from her stint on reality TV, is fervently addressing claims concerning her involvement with a married ex, while simultaneously responding to accusations made by Dabota Lawson, once a trusted confidante and now a formidable critic.

Tensions erupted after Diiadem charged Dabota with manipulating blogs to tarnish her name. The reality star suggests her former ally is behind a barrage of unsavory online stories tailored to discredit her.

In a response, Dabota claimed that she had been supportive of Diiadem in the past, particularly during her pregnancy in November. She alleged that Diiadem was involved with a married man identified as Churchill and accused her of maintaining a friendship with his wife despite the relationship.

Diiadem, however, fired back, making it clear that she had never denied knowing Churchill. She alleged that Churchill had previously rejected her former friend, interior designer Ehi Ogbebor, claiming Dabota had invested considerable effort in trying to facilitate a relationship between the pair.

She also accused Dabota of speaking negatively about actress Tonto Dikeh behind her back. According to Diiadem, Dabota allegedly insulted the actress, repeatedly expressed her dislike for her and even instructed Diiadem not to greet Tonto when she arrived in Abuja.

Taking the allegations further, Diiadem claimed that Dabota attempted to introduce her to several men and allegedly shared her pictures with them in exchange for financial benefits.

The accusations have now sparked a fresh social media controversy between the former friends, with both women trading serious claims about their past relationship and interactions.

Her words…

“I’m glad you’re finally speaking up.

Let’s address her right before I tell my own side.

First of all, I was never your fan, regardless of what you wrote. That’s a narrative you created in your own head.

And let’s be clear, there was never a time I begged influencers to attend my party. Also, which wealthy men are you referring to? Armani? The one that came in with Tolu Bally and you got upset? Restless human being.

As for Churchill, I’ve never denied knowing him. But let’s talk about her real issue: Churchill rejected your friend, Ehi, and you spent a lot of time trying to make that happen for her. You also tried to introduce me to him, and I clearly told you, ‘I know him’.

You went on to speak badly about Tonto, called her names, and repeatedly told me how much you disliked her. You even warned me not to greet her when I got to Abuja. I laughed and carried on. I got there and did the exact opposite, and once again you were upset.

As for the visa issue, I only asked for the visa agent’s contact because he wanted to attend the party with Teni. Please provide the messages where I supposedly sent you his data page or any other information”.

Chicago Weather Update: Weekend Delivers Rain Relief with No Flood Threat Saturday, Potential Storms Sunday

0

CHICAGO (WLS) — The heavy rain system initially anticipated to drench Chicago on Saturday appears to have largely bypassed the city, reports ABC7 AccuWeather Meteorologist Jaisol Martinez.

Our team of meteorologists at ABC7 had originally issued an AccuWeather Alert in preparation for Saturday’s looming threat, but with the flooding risk now diminished in the Chicago region, that alert has been rescinded.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

As of 5 a.m., radar detection showed rainfall occurring south of Interstate 80, with expectations of continued light to moderate showers persisting through the morning, primarily affecting southern areas, according to Martinez.

Residents across the Chicago vicinity should prepare for occasional drizzle in the morning, and there’s a slim chance of isolated downpours developing later in the afternoon on Saturday.

Fortunately, this change in the storm’s path means that the anticipated rainfall is unlikely to disrupt Saturday’s signature events like the Chicago Air and Water Show or the Chicago Bears game.

However, this week’s storms led to the cancellation of next weekend’s Gary Air Show. The organizers say the need for first responders to assist in the cleanup is more important than the show happening this year. They hope to be back next summer.

Saturday is expected to remain humid with highs in the low 80s. But ABC7 meteorologists are watching for a potential round of heavy rain late Saturday and into Sunday morning.

Possible storms could hit the Chicago area between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sunday.

Once that morning rain moves out on Sunday, the rest of the day looks mostly dry with highs in the low 80s. Next week’s forecast offers limited rain chances, bringing some relief to areas hit hard by Tuesday’s storms.

Residents who sustained storm damage Tuesday and Wednesday in Cook County are being asked to complete an online survey by Aug. 24.

Hung Cao Defies Media Depiction of ‘Miserable’ USS Abraham Lincoln Crew Experience

0

After the Air Force One speculation failed to gain significant attention, the legacy media is now fixating on another sensational topic: the situation aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. In what seems to be a relentless pursuit of a headline-grabbing “gotcha moment” concerning President Trump, these media outlets have abruptly shifted their attention. Despite historically showing little interest, they are now probing into alleged dissatisfaction among sailors, hoping it might cast a shadow over the Commander in Chief’s actions.

RedState’s Bob Hoge has been closely observing this media frenzy over the purported unhappiness on the Lincoln, which has been stationed on extended duty in the Middle East. Here’s his take on the situation:

Numerous outlets have painted a picture of dire conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Stories abound about food scarcity, malfunctioning plumbing, widespread fatigue, and collapsing morale. The narrative has grown so grim, some reports suggest sailors are driven to such despair that they have attempted to leap overboard. Sensational headlines, such as “Conditions on US aircraft carrier at sea for more than 250 days raise alarms,” have flooded the news cycle, exaggerating the scenario.

According to Bob, this heightened media drama prompted CENTCOM to issue a clarifying statement urging calm and refuting misinformation. They specifically addressed a fabricated story claiming a deadly altercation aboard the Lincoln resulted in the deaths of seven sailors. CENTCOM’s response sought to dispel these misleading assertions:

“In the last 48 hours, numerous media outlets have disseminated several inaccurate claims about the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) during its mission in the Middle East. Among the false reports was an allegation of a fatal skirmish involving seven sailors on the aircraft carrier, alongside rumors of a spike in suicidal tendencies. These statements are unequivocally FALSE.”

This did little to placate the press, which is hungry to head into the weekend with something to pin on Trump for the Sunday morning news shows.

Not willing to play that game, Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao released a statement Friday afternoon shooting down the idea that the Lincoln and its crew were experiencing anything other than a long and challenging deployment. Something sailors and their families have dealt with for decades.

Viral Frenzy: Lindsay Clancy Trial Sparks Heated Social Media Debate Among TikTok Detectives

“It’s kind of a cultural obsession,” remarked Peter Elikann, a criminal defense attorney based in Boston, as he discussed the public’s fixation.

Currently, the internet and social media platforms are buzzing, captivated by the Massachusetts murder trial involving a mother accused of killing her three children.

Lindsay Clancy, aged 35, stands accused of committing three counts of first-degree murder. The tragic case revolves around the deaths of her children—Cora, Dawson, and Callan—who were all under the age of six. The children were discovered strangled in the family’s Duxbury home in 2023.

Clancy does not contest the charges of killing her children; instead, she and her legal team argue that she was experiencing severe postpartum psychosis during the incident. In response, she has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

“This isn’t a case of having the blues, being down in the dumps and being depressed,” Elikann, who is not involved in the trial, told News Media.

He explained that the world is just beginning to understand the impacts of postpartum psychosis – which differs from postpartum depression.

He referenced the Andrea Yates case from the early 2000s in Houston, Texas where the mother drowned her five children in a bathtub and was found not guilty by reason of insanity.

“This psychosis is really kind of an emerging field,” he says.

Some TikTokers and social media sleuths are jumping to Clancy’s defense, developing conspiracy theories and claiming she did not have the support she needed.

Clancy’s attorney is hoping to have one TikToker testify, asking the judge to allow Emily Thorndike, a former McLean Hospital clinical social worker, to be added to the witness list. Thorndike had publicly accused witnesses of spreading “lies and misrepresentations” about the psychiatric facility where Clancy was treated weeks before she killed her three children.

Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, said he tracked down Thonrndike after she posted about the case on TikTok.

“I saw her video saying that she could not stand for, and I quote, ‘the lies and the misrepresentations from that witness stand about McLean Hospital’,” Reddington said.

Speaking about the high interest on social media, Elikann said, “It’s kind of a cultural obsession and people feel that they’re part of some kind of community.”

Elikann went on to say, “With the advent of not just the internet, but now social media, it’s like on steroids now, and everybody’s an expert.”

While unsubstantiated claims and speculation circulate online about what led to the killings, Elikann emphasized the importance of following official facts over social media speculation.

He mentioned one positive about the social media obsession.

“The public is getting educated as to this issue of postpartum psychosis and trying to understand how a supposedly loving mother—who always indicated great interest in her children, was happy with her life, liked her job, liked her marriage, lived in this great community by the water south of Boston—why she would suddenly, out of the blue, commit this horrific, monstrous nightmare of an incident,” Elikann said.

Clancy’s trial resumes on Monday.

Hailie Jade’s Heartfelt Journey: Navigating Turbulent Ties with Mom Kim Scott Amid Recent Arrest

0

Hailie Jade has steadfastly supported her mother, Kim Scott, through thick and thin, despite the numerous personal and legal challenges that have punctuated their relationship over the years.

“Hailie has unfalteringly maintained her love for her mom, regardless of the circumstances,” an exclusive source revealed to Page Six. “Her main concern is for Kim’s well-being, with the hope that she’ll find her way back to good health.”

“Their bond has certainly been tested through numerous highs and lows over time,” the insider elaborated. “However, Hailie consistently chooses to refrain from passing judgment, fully aware of the myriad challenges her mom has faced throughout the years.”

These recent months have brought those challenges to the forefront, as Kim Scott, formerly known as Kim Mathers, confronts a series of personal and legal difficulties.

At 51, Scott found herself back in the spotlight when she was taken into custody at Macomb County Jail on Thursday. A Michigan judge opted to revoke her bond, citing multiple alleged violations connected to her ongoing legal issues.

Scott is currently dealing with two drunken-driving cases, as well as a separate case stemming from her July encounter with police.

She pleaded no contest in May to operating while intoxicated stemming from a February incident in which prosecutors said she crashed into a truck while impaired.

Just three days later, she was arrested in a separate alleged OWI incident after striking a parked vehicle and registering a .204 blood alcohol level, nearly three times Michigan’s legal limit.

Bench warrants were later issued after she missed court proceedings in June before being canceled when she appeared.

The legal turmoil came during an already difficult period for Scott.

On July 11, emergency personnel were called to her Chesterfield Township home following a reported suicide attempt.

Dispatch audio described a relative calling for help, and Scott was ultimately rushed by ambulance to McLaren Macomb Hospital after suffering severe bleeding. Video obtained by TMZ from the scene showed her appearing unconscious as paramedics wheeled her from the home on a gurney.

“This latest health scare was really hard on Hailie,” the source told Page Six. “Any time something happens with her mom, it’s emotional because she never wants to get that kind of news.”

“Becoming a wife and a mom herself has given Hailie an even greater appreciation for how complicated family relationships can be,” the insider said.

Hailie, 30, married longtime boyfriend Evan McClintock in May 2024, and the pair welcomed their son, Elliot Marshall McClintock, in March 2025.

According to the source, “Hailie wants to be there for her mom in whatever way she can while also protecting the life she’s built with her own family.”

A representative for Hailie Jade did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Scott was previously married to Eminem — born Marshall Mathers — from 1999 to 2001. The exes were briefly remarried in 2006 but parted ways after the rapper, 53, filed for divorce.

The exes are the parents to three kids: Hailie Jade, Alaina, 33, and Stevie, 24.

Scott is also the mom to a son named Parker, whom she welcomed following her split from the “Lose Yourself” hitmaker.
