Kolhe was also known as the founder of National Heavy Engg. Co-operative Ltd., Pune, Sanjivani Rural Educational Society, Kopargaon, Yashwant Poultry, and Devayani Co-operative Bank Ltd.
For his contribution to the cooperative sector, Kolhe was felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Vasantdada Sugar Institute in 2017.
