Meet The Cast Of Home Alone 2- Where Are The Stars Now?

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the release of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, DailyMail.com has examined the cast’s activities since Kevin McCallister again foiled the bumbling criminals Harry and Marv.

On November 20, 1992, the sequel debuted, solidifying Macaulay Culkin’s position as one of the top child actors. It had the third-highest holiday box office performance, earning almost $359 million against a $28 million budget.

The young Kevin McCallister, portrayed by Culkin, is put on an aircraft to New York instead of Florida after getting separated from his family at the airport.

The movie, which starred Donald Trump, the owner of the Plaza Hotel at the time, was produced and directed by John Hughes and Chris Columbus once more.

We all know where he ended up, but where are the stars of Home Alone 2 now and how much have they changed in three decades?

Macaulay Culkin, a gifted young actor who shot to fame at the age of 10 with the Home Alone movie, went on to play a variety of characters, including a charitable billionaire in Richie Rich and a murderous, psychotic child in The Good Son.

Even though he largely avoided the spotlight in the late 1990s, he was a billionaire by the time he was 12 and is still regarded as one of the biggest child stars of his generation.

When Culkin wed Rachel Miner, he was only 18 years old. In 2012, after four years of dating, they split up.

From 2002 to 2010, he was romantically involved with Mila Kunis, who is an actress. Their relationship began around the time he started acting again.

Party Monster was Culkin’s first cinematic appearance in the 2000s (2003). He then made an appearance in Mandy Moore’s Saved! a year later.

With the exception of a few parts, the most of his subsequent screentime has consisted of cameos. His voice work for the animated comedy Robot Chicken is among his most notable acting roles over the last ten years.

He formed the Velvet Underground cover band Pizza Underground in 2013, and the group performed a string of concerts around the US and the UK.

In contrast to his on-screen roles, Culkin has garnered greater notoriety for his antics off the screen. The actor allegedly battled drug addiction, though he insisted that reports of his struggles were greatly exaggerated.

He found love with fellow child star Brenda Song from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody in 2017 after they appeared in Seth Green’s film Changeland. They now share a child.

In 2018, he launched a comedy website and podcast called Bunny Ears. Later that year, he reprised his role as Kevin McCallister in a commercial for Google Assistant that went viral. Macaulay was most recently cast in the tenth season of American Horror Story.

The 42-year-old wore a backward hat for the outing and purchased a small bouquet of flowers, perhaps for his partner Brenda Song or their one-year-old, Dakota Song Culkin.

Meet The Cast Of Home Alone 2- CATHERINE O’HARA (PLAYED KATE MCCALLISTER)

Before Home Alone entered theaters, Catherine O’Hara was well recognized for her performances in Beetlejuice from 1988, but for others, she’ll always be known as Kevin’s loving, albeit forgetful, mother.

Since the release of Home Alone, she has consistently worked, returning to the role of her recognizable ‘Kevin’ scream in Home Alone 2.

O’Hara, 68, has voiced characters in Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie and appeared in Waiting for Guffman, Orange County, and other films.

She co-starred in Best in Show in 2000 with her lifelong friend Eugene Levy, who later chose her to play Moira Rose, his wife, in the comedy Schitt’s Creek.

O’Hara played the washed-up soap opera actress from 2015 to 2020 on the show, which Eugene created with his son Dan Levy.

At the 2020 Emmy Awards she was named lead actress in a comedy series, winning her second Emmy and first for acting.

She was last spotted running around Los Angeles with her husband Bo Welch making room for holiday gifts as they moved possessions into a storage unit.

TIM CURRY (PLAYED MR HECTOR)

Tim Curry, a British actor, joined the ensemble to play stuffy and dubious Mr. Hector, the Plaza Hotel concierge who fell prey to Kevin’s pranks once more.

After becoming famous for his portrayal as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult musical The Rocky Horror Show, he played one of the most recognizable characters in the sequel to the well-known Christmas movie.

Curry’s first professional stage role was in the musical Hair in 1968, the year he received his degree from Birmingham University. In the 1990 television adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, Pennywise, Curry played the character.

After suffering a stroke in 2012, the 76-year-old was forced to use a wheelchair. Since then, he has maintained a relatively low profile.

But he was recently spotted in good spirits as he ventured out to the grocery store with the help of a medical assistant ahead of the holiday season.

Tim Curry played a stuffy hotel concierge who chased after Kevin, who conned his way into the Plaza hotel. Curry's role as Mr Hector became almost as cherished as Culkin's as Kevin

JOE PESCI (PLAYED HARRY LIME)

Joe Pesci, who played Tommy DeVito in the movie Goodfellas, which came out just months before Home Alone, was already a huge star, unlike many of the other performers in the movie.

He received the supporting actor Oscar in 1991 for his performance in the Martin Scorsese-helmed criminal drama.

In the sequel to the Home Alone film series, he returned to the character of Harry Lime opposite Daniel Stern’s Marv Merchants.

The actor announced his retirement from acting in 1999, despite having other notable roles in movies like Casino, My Cousin Vinny, Gone Fishin’, and Lethal Weapon 3 and 4. Instead, he chose to concentrate on his music career.

Pesci, who is now 79 years old, came out of retirement to star in the 2019 film The Irishman, which earned him an Oscar nomination.

He also stars as Pete Davidson’s grandfather in Bupkis, the forthcoming Peacock comedy series based on a fictionalized version of Davidson’s life.

DANIEL STERN (PLAYED MARV MERCHANTS)

Daniel Stern has continued to work regularly in cinema and television after assuming the role of Joe Pesci’s on-screen partner in crime, however his unforgettable performance as Marv in the Home Alone series is undoubtedly his most well-known role.

He served as the narrator for the well-known series The Wonder Years, which starred a young Fred Savage, from 1988 until 1993.

In addition to playing Bill, the father of the main character Annie (Aidy Bryant), Stern also starred in the 2019 movie James vs. His Future Self and the Hulu series Shrill.

He has joined the For All Mankind cast for Season 4, which will premiere on Apple TV in 2023, when he is still performing.

The 65-year-old seems to prefer spending time at his sizable farm and vineyard in Southern California.

He was recently seen taking a long walk on a nearby country road in a grey sweatsuit that matched his beard.

After playing Joe Pesci's onscreen partner in crime, Daniel Stern (pictured) has maintained regular work in film and TV, though his memorable turn as Marv in the Home Alone series is arguably his most famous

JOHN HEARD (PLAYED PETER MCCALLISTER)

Before playing Kevin’s father in the first two Home Alone movies, John Heard had already acted in the 1998 blockbusters Big and Beaches.

He maintained a consistent work schedule throughout his career, landing parts in The Pelican Brief, Before and After, and Snake Eyes after the release of Home Alone in 1990.

Later on, he had appearances in well-known television series like The Sopranos and Prison Break.

Alongside Tara Reid, he co-starred in the controversial made-for-TV movie Sharknado in 2013.

At the age of 71, John passed away from a heart attack while still performing.

GERRY BAMMAN (PLAYED UNCLE FRANK)

Gerry Bamman is most known for his portrayal of Kevin’s cranky uncle Frank in the films Home Alone and Home Alone 2.

The actor has, nevertheless, made a number of cinema and television appearances after the blockbuster films.

He has been in minor roles in a number of popular TV shows, including The Good Wife, Sex and the City, Damages, and Law & Order.

Gerry last appeared in a movie in 2015 for the crime drama The Following, and he now doesn’t seem to be performing anymore.

The 81-year-old is currently residing in a modest home in Rockland County, New York.

He’s moving much more slowly now as he zips between various grocery stores and health food stores in his blue electric Hyundai.

DEVIN RATRAY (PLAYED BUZZ MCCALLISTER)

Devin Ratray has been in a lot of movies, but his most famous role is as the horrible, bully big brother Buzz in the Home Alone movie.

The young actor, who debuted in the late 1980s, was just 13 years old when he made his appearance in Home Alone.

Later, he appeared as a guest star on Damage Control on MTV and in episodes of Law & Order and Supernatural.

He made an appearance in the Oscar-nominated 2013 film Nebraska. Recently, he also played a supporting role in the 2019 movie Hustlers.

Ratray has been accused of assaulting his former girlfriend, who said he choked and struck her.

He pleaded not guilty to those charges and has been accused by a second woman of rape. She claims he attacked her at his apartment in New York in 2017.

What a character: Though his role as the awful, bullying big brother Buzz in Home Alone was his most enduring role, Devin Ratray has appeared in plenty of films

MATT WEBSTER (PLAYED BUZZ’S GIRLFRIEND)

The guy who played Buzz’s elusive lover has the most difference out of the entire group, but few people frequently recall him.

Before Buzz’s girlfriend appears on screen, the McCallisters all make fun of her “funny-looking” appearance. Devin Ratray plays Buzz.

The filmmakers decided to utilize the son of the art director because they felt it would be “extremely cruel” to have a young actress with those associations audition for the part.

A visual designer from California named Matt Webster offered to take up the position. In a conversation, Ratray made light of it.

He claimed: “I think he might have had second thoughts about it if he had known it would become the highest-grossing family comedy of all time.”

Matt Webster was spotted at a local gas station and smirked at the camera with his same awkward smile when asked about his role.
