Where Is Nancy Pelosi Now?

In an arrangement with party members who objected to her becoming House Speaker for a second time, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) vowed to leave her position as Democratic leader by 2022, according to The Washington Post.

According to the deal, Pelosi will back a “three-term restriction” for the top three Democratic House leaders. She stated the plan, “I am at ease with the proposal, and it is my goal to abide by it whether it passes or not.

Additionally, the deal states that a two-thirds majority may only approve the fourth term of House members.

According to reports, Pelosi received 203-to-32 support from party members to become Speaker. However, many Democrats pledged to vote against her in the critical floor vote in January if she did not accept more concessions, which sparked the term limit negotiations.

Following her statement, at least six Democratic holdouts are anticipated to back Pelosi’s quest for House Speaker, according to the Post.
