Did Natalia Aleksandrovna Hitchcock Really Murder Her Son?

Natalia Aleksandrovna Hitchcock murdered her eight-year-old son and attempted to kill her 11-year-old while both were at home during a school district’s spring vacation. The incident took place on March 30.

She murdered little Oliver only days after attempting to drown his 11-year-old brother in the bathtub. The eldest child found his brother’s lifeless body on his bedroom floor while he saw his mother sitting on the bed with a large knife, writes NY Post.

The surviving boy’s screams woke their father up from his sleep, and he rushed to rescue Oliver. However, he died two days later.

The legal documents stated that when the father was trying to save his child and doing CPR on him, his wife walked around the house in a daze while mumbling that she would kill everyone.

Previously, she had also tried to overdose on drugs and stabbed herself in the chest to cut her heart out. However, when the authorities asked her husband if she suffered from some mental illness or had a history of it, he denied it.

Death And Charges Explained

Natalia Aleksandrovna Hitchcock is charged with murdering her son, Oliver Hitchcock.

Her spouse said that she seemed to have mental illness as he explained her paranoia about Russia’s escalating attack on Ukraine. In addition, her parents were in Russia, and she was enraged that she could not plan flights to see them.

She was worried that “someone from a bigger city” would show up and assault them or sell them on the dark web. When questioned by police, she stated that she was afraid the Russian government would take her children and abuse them.

People were giving her strange looks, as if they thought she was a spy, which bothered her. She was terrified that social workers would come and take her children away.

As a result, she killed her son because she did not want to see him abused.
