CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Ensuring that every child finds joy under the tree this holiday season, a Champaign-based non-profit is taking meaningful steps to make it happen.

Innovators in Action recently organized its fifth annual event focused on modifying toys for children with disabilities. Participants moved through various stations, each with its own unique task, to prepare the toys for eager little hands.

“Every station offers a different role,” explained Oluwabusayo Oni, president of the non-profit. “It’s similar to an assembly line where you collaborate with the person beside you. You transition from one station to another, contributing piece by piece until a delightful toy is ready at the end.”
