GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Isaiah Sa’ron Williams, a 23-year-old resident of Starke, was apprehended on December 23 under a warrant for armed burglary and grand theft of a firearm. These charges stem from an incident earlier in 2023, where he is accused of stealing a gun from a former housemate.
On January 15, 2023, an officer from the Gainesville Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the area north of NW 39th Avenue and east of NW 13th Street. The homeowner had received an alert from a security camera indicating an intruder in his locked bedroom. Recognizing Williams as a previous occupant of the home, the resident informed the officer. It was reported that Williams accessed the bedroom through an unsecured window, taking a hard drive along with a Glock pistol.
Williams faces charges of armed burglary and grand theft of a firearm. Previously, he served time for armed trespassing in Bradford County, with his release occurring in 2022. Charges against him for burglary and dealing in stolen property from 2021 in Bradford County were eventually dismissed. The arrest warrant, signed by Judge William Davis in 2023, initially set Williams’s bail at $200,000. However, the Alachua County Jail website currently lists his bail as $125,000.
