Dolly Parton’s New Nashville Hotel and Museum Are Now Open

Promoters are calling Dolly Parton’s new Nashville museum “a love letter to the city of Nashville.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Dolly Parton Productions has unveiled a new destination where fans can celebrate the beloved late country music icon while taking a break from their “9 to 5.”

The SongTeller Hotel, decorated around Parton’s signature butterfly motif, is now open and accepting reservations for all 245 guest rooms. Promoters describe the Nashville hotel as “a love letter to the city of Nashville.”

On the hotel’s third floor, Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum takes visitors through exhibits chronicling Parton’s life and career. A video filmed earlier this year shows Parton leading fans on a tour of the museum, offering an immersive experience in which she narrates her own story. Among the displays is a replica of the childhood cabin where she grew up in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.

“From the top of the mountains to the top of the world,” the museum said in a release.

The SongTeller Hotel also embraces Nashville’s live music tradition. Its second floor is home to Parton’s Live, a country music venue showcasing both established performers and rising singers. Parton’s niece, Jada Star, has already begun a twice-weekly residency there.

The hotel and museum officially opened together on Sept. 29, just over a month after Parton died at age 80. Her team confirmed soon after her death that she had been diagnosed with cancer and died following a brief battle with the disease.

“Our beloved Dolly Parton spent her life and career bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity into everything she touched. Her unmatched generosity reached the lives of countless people whom she would never meet, yet she was always there to offer a helping hand,” the statement read.

“Whether it be the hundreds of millions of books donated through her invaluable Imagination Library or funding research that helped create a lifesaving vaccine used around the world, Dolly’s unconditional love for all people was the guiding force for her lasting impact. After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones,” the statement concluded.
