The arrest of Sam Wood on domestic violence charges is continuing to affect more than just the legal proceedings, with the future of two luxury Melbourne properties he owns with his wife, Snezana, now uncertain.
Wood, 46, remains in custody after being denied bail last week over allegations involving Snezana at the family’s $3,000-a-night holiday accommodation in Noosa on October 3.
The planned sale of the couple’s $7.15 million property in Brighton has also been thrown into doubt.
Wood and Snezana purchased the seven-bedroom luxury home in September 2025 and were reportedly preparing to list it for sale just days before his arrest in Noosa.
Jellis Craig had been appointed to manage the real estate campaign, but it remains unclear whether the sale will go ahead following Wood’s arrest.
At the time of his arrest, the couple had been living in a newly purchased $6 million property in the affluent Melbourne suburb.

At a bail hearing at Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court, prosecutors alleged that Wood pushed Snezana into a wardrobe, grabbed her by the throat, threw her against a wall and struck her head on the floor during an incident at the family’s luxury Noosa apartment.
The court was told that Snezana feared she would die during the alleged attack.
During Thursday’s hearing, police prosecutor Sergeant Janette Grigoris said Wood’s 21-year-old stepdaughter, Eve, had called Triple Zero and reported that her mother had allegedly been choked.

Prosecutors further alleged that Wood’s behaviour had been ‘escalating’, while police told the court they had previously attended a ‘similar’ incident involving the couple in Victoria.
The court heard that earlier incident did not result in a formal complaint.
Photographs of Snezana’s alleged injuries were presented during the hearing, while prosecutors told the court she was living in fear of retribution.
Wood’s solicitor Mathew Cuskelly disputed the prosecution’s version of events, maintaining his client denied strangling or assaulting his wife.
His legal team has indicated he intends to defend the charges and may rely on self-defence.
Acting Magistrate Janelle Boegheim ultimately refused bail.
Mr Cuskelly confirmed on Friday his client would apply for bail in Queensland’s Supreme Court.
Wood remains entitled to the presumption of innocence, and the allegations against him have not been proven in court.
