ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Windermere police are searching for a woman accused of helping defraud an 82-year-old resident of $18,400.
According to the Windermere Police Department, the woman went to the victim’s home Tuesday while pretending to be an FBI courier. She allegedly collected a shoebox filled with cash.
Police said the suspect was seen arriving at and departing from the residence in the silver Toyota shown in the images released by investigators.

Investigators believe the scheme began when at least one person claiming to be an FBI agent called the victim. The caller allegedly convinced her that she was involved in a bank fraud investigation and instructed her to hand over the money.
