SANFORD, Fla. – Editor’s note: This report includes graphic descriptions of a violent crime scene.
A newly obtained report provides disturbing details about what deputies found inside a Sanford home while investigating a murder-suicide.
Deputies were called to a residence on Tangelo Drive during the morning of Aug. 26, 2026.
What deputies found inside
Outside the home, deputies found two juvenile boys, the children of the deceased adults, seated near the residence. According to the report, both children “appeared calm and in good physical health.”
In a bedroom at the back of the home, deputies discovered two adults dead in a bed. One deputy reported seeing “two deceased individuals lying in a bed and covered in what appeared to be blood.”
The male victim was lying on his back and appeared to have suffered an injury near his head. Blood was visible around the wound, the report states.

The female victim had significantly more extensive injuries. Deputies described several apparent cuts running along her back from her shoulder to her upper-right hip. Investigators said the wounds appeared to spell the word “WHORE.” The report also says a flashlight had been placed on her body, apparently to stage the scene. The deputy further reported that the woman’s head appeared to have been separated from her body. A large amount of blood was found on the pillow, while substantial blood spatter surrounded the bed on the floor.
Investigators listed a knife or other cutting instrument as the suspected weapon.
Authorities have not released the identities of the two deceased adults.
This report will be updated when additional information becomes available.
