John Torode has sold his luxurious north London home for £1.8million, 15 months after his departure as a judge on the BBC’s MasterChef.
The Daily Mail understands that Torode, 61, and his wife Lisa Faulkner, 54, accepted £105,000 less than the asking price to complete the sale. Even so, the couple are expected to make almost £600,000 after purchasing the end-of-terrace property for £1.2million in 2015.
The home has provided the backdrop for the couple’s popular YouTube series, John And Lisa’s Kitchen And Home, which has attracted more than 1.3million views and 23,000 subscribers.
Potential buyers were able to see inside the couple’s kitchen through estate agent photographs and guided tours of the five-bedroom house in Muswell Hill.
A bespoke kitchen and dining area opening onto a south-facing garden formed the centrepiece of the extensive renovation. The project also involved adding designer bathroom suites and double-glazed timber sash windows.
Torode and Faulkner, who met on Celebrity MasterChef nine years before marrying in 2019, revamped the three-storey property while preserving its original Edwardian character.

The five-bedroom residence also boasts a charming garden, with a modern office positioned at the far end of the lawn.
Faulkner, the former Holby City star, recently said she had been using the garden’s peaceful setting while recovering from an operation after being diagnosed with breast cancer in April.
Speaking to The Times, she said: ‘I’ve been in a bubble with my family and friends, sitting in the garden with Johno, doing word searches and puzzles.
‘In every situation that has happened [to us] there have been dark days, but the light has been quite amazing. And if you keep searching for the light, I think that’s what you take from it.
‘I said to Johno recently, “All I want to do is cook with you in our kitchen for YouTube, and act, and if that is my life, I’ll be so happy.”‘
The couple are understood to have listed the house earlier this year. Land Registry documents now confirm that the sale completed for £1,795,000.
The sale follows the end of Torode’s lucrative 20-year run on MasterChef. His contract was not renewed after an allegation that he sang along to Kanye West’s Gold Digger, which contains a racist word in its lyrics, at a 2019 wrap party was upheld.
Torode said he could not recall the incident, but the BBC decided not to renew his contract following an investigation.
His departure came days after fellow judge Gregg Wallace, 61, was sacked over allegations of unacceptable behaviour. The claims included that he groped one MasterChef worker and pulled his trousers down in front of another.
Torode and Wallace have since been replaced by broadcaster and restaurant critic Grace Dent and Irish chef and restaurateur Anna Haugh.

Speaking in September, Torode admitted he was left stunned by his dismissal, having been informed of his sacking by his agent, who called him while on holiday.
‘It was a shock,’ he told The Telegraph. ‘The shutters closed around me and I was devastated, absolutely, completely devastated.
‘I put my heart and soul into that thing. I really worked very, very hard.’
Torode described the BBC as ‘a machine [that] spat me out’, adding that in his entire time with the broadcaster ‘nobody ever knocked on my door and said, “You can’t do this”, or “This is a problem”. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever’.
He also ruled out taking any potential legal action over his dismissal.
‘To get embroiled in further conflict would only do damage,’ he said.
Following his departure from MasterChef, the Aussie chef remains a fixture on ITV’s This Morning, fulfilling regular cooking segments.
But it’s his YouTube show with Faulkner that is Torode’s main focus, after the pair launched the project in December last year.
The couple create meals for everyday consumption and special occasions, dropping videos weekly on their channel.
It’s yet to be revealed how much money their new enterprise is making, but Torode’s TV production company Caspar 10 had £47,351 in reserves when it last filed accounts, which covered 12 months up to the end of April 2025.
His other company, food venture Mr Johns Limited, found itself £3,825 in the red in the 12 months up to the end of May 2025.

Meanwhile, Faulkner’s TV business, Gigi Media Limited, held £564,796, according to the latest figures.
Torode and Faulkner were still married to their former partners when they met on Celebrity MasterChef in 2009.
The Aussie was in a relationship with his second wife, Jessica, the mother of two of his four children. They split in 2011 after 11 years of marriage.
His two oldest children are from a relationship with former partner Angela.
Faulkner, meanwhile, has a daughter Billie, who she adopted with her former husband Chris Coghill in 2006. They split in 2011 after six years of marriage.
The actress had previously undergone four rounds of failed IVF treatment, several miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy.
